Skating rink in the park: how to spend a weekend on the ice. Open skating rink "Metelitsa" in Babushkinsky park. Skating rink in the Angarskiye Prudy Park - a free skating rink with artificial ice

At this rink, I first got on the ice, it was about 5 years ago. I remember I rented very scary skates there, got up and went, maybe my ability to roller skate had an effect, I don’t know, but I didn’t have to learn to skate :-)

We rode there often, but for the last couple of years I haven’t been there, so this weekend I went for a ride with my husband and friends.

ICE RINK

Quite spacious, divided into two zones - a large area with a Christmas tree in the middle and a slightly smaller area, fenced. I don’t know what it is for, but you can freely ride both there and there (probably a larger circle - natural ice, a smaller circle - with artificial support).

In the new season, 8,000 sq. m of natural ice and 3300 sq. m of ice cover with artificial support.

You get to the skating rink through a gate with security, where they check your ticket and put a stamp on your hand. When we were skating this weekend, I didn't know that there were skating sessions, it just so happened that we were there from 13:30 to 15:30 approximately.

Entrance to the rink by sessions:
Weekdays: from 13:00 to 16:00 and from 17:00 to 22:00.
Weekends and holidays: from 11:00 to 16:00 and from 17:00 to 22:00.
Technical break: 16.00 - 17.00. .

PROS

Prices (I think quite democratic)

The cost of visiting the skating rink: 250 rubles / 1 session.

Park area.

Location near the main entrance to the park.

Warm FREE locker room! (however, if you want to take a cell for storing something, then 50 rubles).

Sharpening of skates 200 rubles.

You can rent or I don’t know such things for those who don’t know how to ride, usually in the form of animals with handles to hold on to and ride.

There is a cafe (I don’t know about the prices, I’m used to the fact that everything is expensive at the skating rinks, so I usually don’t buy anything from food there).

The rink has several benches and the part of the rink that artificial ice, has wooden sides.

MINUSES

Inconvenient location of the skating rink, it is difficult to get to the main entrance of the park: - (We used to walk from the Highway of Enthusiasts (about half an hour on foot), from Partizanskaya about the same (if good weather, it turns out a pleasant walk along snow park). This time my husband and I rode the 7th bus from the Highway of Enthusiasts (highway, not subway), but he rarely travels.

I heard that people who are in cars complain that parking is paid, there are no places, and so on.

Lots of little kids on the weekends, always afraid of hurting someone, or that someone will fall in front of me. I think parents of young children are unhappy big amount adults and teenagers. But still I think that for small children there should be separate children's safe skating rinks. Due to the decent number of people in the locker rooms, there are a lot of people, you have to look for places on the benches.

I already wrote about skating sessions, from my point of view this is a minus, as it creates a flea market in the locker room.

TOTAL

Despite the disadvantages, I really love this ice rink and will go there to skate (by the way, I live nearby, but it’s still inconvenient to get there). Next time I want to go there for a drive in the evening, though I need to think about how to get there (I would not want to walk in the dark for half an hour through the forest).
