A trip to Disneyland Paris or a winter vacation in Disneyland. Independent trip to Disneyland for the new year and Christmas

Since childhood, I dreamed of going to Disneyland. Even when I watched Disney cartoons on TV, and before them they usually showed parades at Disneyland. At that time, I thought it was impossible to get there. It was an impossible dream. When I started living in Paris, I thought that going to Disneyland was expensive and time consuming. Everything turned out a little different than I imagined.

It really took a long time to get there: we took the RER train for almost an hour before we got there. It's good that the entrance to Disneyland itself is not far from the station. My friend and I went there in April, but there were still a lot of tourists. We stood in line at the box office for about an hour, but we got in pretty quickly.

When you find yourself on the territory of Disneyland, it seems as if you are entering a completely different world. Beautiful and fabulous, where childhood always reigns. Even an adult begins to feel like a child here. Eyes literally run up from the number of different attractions, entertainment and cafes. We even got confused when we entered, but then we pulled ourselves together and went to explore the park.

What you need to know before leaving

Know that besides you there are a lot of people who want to visit the famous park. In the summer and during the holidays there are whole crowds of people and adults. Therefore, it is better to come in the spring, at the end of March - beginning of April, or at the end of September - beginning of October. It is still warm in Paris, but there are not so many tourists. This is the best time to visit many attractions.

You need to arrive early in the morning. We boarded the RER at 7am and drove for an hour. Then we spent another hour waiting in line. As a result, the park itself entered only at 9 am. Arriving early is important not only because there is a long line at the entrance, but also because the park is very large. If you are limited in time and want to see as much as possible, then you should arrive early.

Everything in the park is very expensive. A snack in some cafe with a couple of buns with coffee will cost 30-50 EUR. We took sandwiches and water bottles with us. You can bring food inside. It's much cheaper. We sat down on a bench when we got hungry, ate our sandwiches and moved on.

By the way, this also applies to souvenirs. A small headband with Mickey Mouse costs 10 EUR. I didn't buy anything there. In principle, in Paris, all this can be found and not at such cosmic prices.

Wear comfortable shoes - sneakers or sandals. High-heeled sandals or shoes are best set aside for a more appropriate occasion. After 7 hours in the park, my feet just fell off, although I put on the simplest sandals. I don't know what would happen to my legs if I was in heels.

It is better to take a small bag or backpack with you. Something that fits well on the arm or shoulders. It should close well with a zipper. There are attractions - roller coasters, for example, where you will be shaken and turned upside down. There will be nowhere to leave things: there are no lockers or a wardrobe nearby. We didn't know about it. When we went on such an attraction, we had to fasten the bag to the leg by the straps so that it would not fly away somewhere.

For the same reason, it is best to wear jeans or some kind of trousers, as the skirt easily rides up on roller coasters or similar rides.

At the entrance, take a map of the park (there is also in Russian), so you can immediately outline the places you want to visit. It's impossible to see everything in one day. The park is too big. It is better to immediately determine what interests you. For especially popular attractions, you can buy tickets in advance with a designation of the time when you need to come there. During breaks, it is nice to walk in the park or visit something less popular.

What is the park itself

Disneyland itself consists of two parks: an amusement park and the Walt Disney Studios, where they show how cartoons are filmed, the filming process, etc.

The first is the largest, it is divided into separate sectors: by cartoons or their heroes. For example, there is a sector dedicated to Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland, Scary House or House of Horrors with a Hill, there is also a Pirate Ship.

A complete and interactive map is best viewed on the official Disneyland website. It also shows where hotels, restaurants, cafes, etc. are located.

We managed to visit only the first of them - the Amusement Park, but that was enough for me to remember the trip for a lifetime.

entrance to the park

First, you pass the first fence, where there is a guard. Bags are checked there, and visitors can be examined if they seem suspicious. Next, you need to queue up for tickets. I will discuss the rates in more detail below. You no longer need to pay inside for attractions, their cost is already included in the price single ticket for a visit.

Amusement park

After receiving the tickets, you enter the park. Along the wide street you will get to the famous Disney castle. It is very difficult to take pictures there. My girlfriend spent over an hour to make good photo. There are two roads from the castle: one leads to the sector about Aladdin, the Scary House, the Pirate Ship, and the other to the futuristic part - spaceships, etc.

We went through the Aladdin sector, Texas, to the Creepy House on the Hill. They collected the most terrible characters and things from different fairy tales: a magic ball, talking skeletons, etc.

There are a couple of Mickey Mouse houses in the park. Actors in Mickey costumes are sitting there, they are signing autographs. We did not go there, because the queue was too long, and we did not want to waste time on it.

After that we went to Alice's maze in Wonderland. This is a real maze! Therefore, children must be kept close so as not to lose them. I liked it there very much. Card figures and other characters from your favorite fairy tale are everywhere.

After going through the whole labyrinth, you will go to the castle of the Red Queen. Nearby is the Crazy Tea Party. There is a place with huge cups and seats with a Mad Hatter hat. You can take pictures there... but again... guess what? That's right, standing in a huge queue.

We went to the Robinson Crusoe Hut, it is located on several floors, on a tree. We rode in the train trailers from the Wild West, also so-so - for children.

Coming out to the square to the castle, we got to one of the famous parades that take place in Disneyland. As we were told, they take place almost every day at a certain time. On special holidays - Halloween or Christmas - magnificent and luxurious parades are held. Cars with Mickey and Mini Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck are passing by, actors are dancing and singing. This spectacle must be seen with your own eyes!

My friend started taking pictures with the castle, and I went to explore the inside of the Disneyland castle. Inside, at the bottom is a dungeon with dragons, and at the top - the chambers of the Sleeping Beauty.

We managed to ride one more attraction, spaceships - also an analogue roller coaster. It was great, but very scary! Twisted and spun us still how! The funny thing is that they take pictures during the attraction. It's fun to look at the exit.

We did not have time to go anywhere else, as we were limited in time.

Ticket price

You can buy tickets at the box office at the entrance or via the Internet, on the Disneyland website.

The price of tickets depends on which parks you intend to visit. All fares are listed. Children under 3 years of age enter free of charge. Adults and children from 12 years old have their own tariffs, and children from 3 to 11 have their own, others. There is a ticket option along with transport from Paris.

During the holidays - Christmas or Halloween - prices will be different.

How to get from Paris to Disneyland

We went there by train, but you can also use a bus or a car.

By train

To do this, you need to choose the train line RER A (this is a red branch). You need to go along the A4 line (it branches off from the main line), to the final station Marne-La-Vallée.

You need to buy a ticket separately to this station. If you are not familiar with the complex system of the Paris metro and the RER, it is better to buy a ticket at the box office, not from a machine. It cost me about 14 EUR.

You can take the RER A at all major metro stations: Charles de Gaulle, Auber, Chatelet-Les Halles, Nation, Gare de Lyon. Check that the stop where you get off indicates that the final stop is Marne-La-Vallée. If this name is in a yellow rectangle, then this means that the train will stop there. If not, then no.

The train runs from 05:22 to 00:39, with an interval of 15 minutes. It goes with stops at other stations. We drove for about an hour.

By bus

These are special express trains that run from 5 metro stations in Paris - Madeleine, Gare du Nord, Montparnasse, Opéra, Chatelet. A ticket is bought along with the entrance to Disneyland - 93 EUR for adults and 88 EUR for children from 3 to 11 years old. This can be done at the bus stop or the Disneyland site.

By car

Finally

Before visiting Disneyland, prepare well and arrive early, regardless of the season. Get your tickets for popular rides right away so you can enjoy the park without wasting time in lines. And dip into fairy tale Disneyland!

Paris in February- cold, cloudy and chilly or Paris in February - warmed by the flame of burners in cozy cafes, overflowing with the sweetness of chocolate hearts? How exactly you want to see Paris in the final month of winter, so you will see it. The main thing is to accurately plan your routes and dress comfortably.

Museums have the least number of visitors this month, the famous Disneyland is open all year round, the cost of rooms in hotels and apartments is the lowest. The main unpleasant factor may be the weather in Paris in February, however, it is completely unpredictable for the French themselves.

Frozen bridges rumble.
The cold is spreading through Paris.
And I'm out of the dark
I look and see nothing.
In my dream I see a bookcase
Trees with the mane of ancient furies,
And the humid air by the river
And an old prefectural banner.

The most correct solution would be to focus on a temperature of about 0 degrees, while its amplitude can be 6 degrees both up and down. And get ready for a drizzle. Therefore, just dress in such a way that you are ready for any climatic whims - a light down jacket, always with a hood, a sweater, a scarf and gloves (of course), waterproof shoes - and enjoy Paris!

Rest assured, Paris is just as beautiful in February. Remember at least valentines day, the holiday of lovers, it falls precisely on this month. For adults, February 14, held in Paris, will be remembered for the romance of love spreading throughout the city - even the billboards that common days should promote goods and services, on this day they show declarations of love and beautiful lines of poetry.

And children, of course, will remember chocolate, a lot of chocolate! Hearts made of chocolate of all possible designs and sizes fill the counters of pastry shops, sweets in the package are arranged in the shape of hearts, and even toy bears hold the obligatory chocolate heart in their powerful paws.

However, Paris does not live on chocolate alone in February. Sausages, cheeses, wine and other achievements of French agriculture, which in warmer times of the year are best offered to Parisians and city guests on the street, at the end of winter are concentrated in one place and appear in all their splendor at the Paris Expo exhibition center(at Place de la Porte de Versailles, district 15, Porte de Versailles metro station). French agricultural salon (Salon de l'Agriculture) looks like " huge village”, which has cows, sheep and poultry. Well-known politicians are certainly present here, who consider it their main duty to show their closeness to the common people and French traditions.

And, of course, as in every big city Europe, seven days before Lent in Paris in February, celebrations are held that are comparable to our native Maslenitsa festivities.

In French Paris such a celebration is the carnival (in French Carnaval de Paris), it is "headed" by a real cow! Each of the carnivals has its own theme, for example, in 2013 it is "Toy World". There will be music, confetti and balloon launches. The festive procession will take place almost throughout the city and will end in the evening next to the City Hall. Everyone can join such a bright procession.

In winter, life in Paris moves into a new direction, the city plunges into a series of winter holidays, illuminations and a magical mood. The European Disneyland, located near Paris, does not lag behind the capital.

The theme park is open all winter, offering visitors to feel the magical spirit of the winter holidays, and after they are over, plunge into the world of themed festivals. The program changes every year, offering fun entertainment, bright shows, fabulous parades and a full range of accommodation and food services right on the territory of Disneyland.

Winter Disneyland

The European winter is quite mild, the climate of Paris allows you to walk with children all day long in ordinary warm clothes. Disneyland Paris opens its doors in winter, inviting children and adults to immerse themselves in the unique atmosphere of a fairy tale.

Winter is a time of transformation. Overnight, Disneyland's full-time wizards turn Sleeping Beauty Castle into a winter stronghold. The castle is covered with icicles that do not melt at above zero temperatures; a special festive illumination is installed on it.

A huge festive tree is installed in November, it will decorate Disneyland in December, and will stand until the end of the calendar festivities. Winter décor, independent of the vagaries of Parisian weather, transforms both parks overnight. So it will be possible to take pictures with children against the backdrop of festive winter decorations in the style of Disney.

IN winter period, due to cold and snowfalls, part of the rides are temporarily closed, but the two Disneyland parks still offer children a lot of entertainment. Most of the rides are under the roof. It is more or less warm there, but, unfortunately, you will have to wait for your turn to get in with the children in the cold. In winter, there will be fewer people, with the exception of Christmas and New Year.

Winter holidays at Disneyland

Christmas program transformed winter Disneyland each year starts from the first decade of November and lasts until the end of the first week of January. The streets of the parks fill dressed in holiday clothes fairy-tale heroes, daily parades and shows make it more colorful, brighter, more spectacular.

In the pre-Christmas period, children will meet Santa right on the street of Disneyland. Unfortunately, neither he nor his merry elves speak Russian. DisneyVillage is also being transformed for Christmas, turning into a late-night Christmas market, sparkling with illumination.

Celebrating the New Year at Disneyland Paris is the dream of a child and adults who have not lost faith in magic. And the creators of the park do everything every year not to disappoint small and large guests who have arrived in Paris for the New Year's miracle.

Every year on December 31, Disneyland invites you to new year party with midnight fireworks. All attractions and entertainment are open until the morning. For the New Year's holiday, you need to buy special holiday tickets.

Both parks are open until late on holidays, and there will definitely be a magnificent fireworks display with projections and special special effects at the end. Almost all attractions work (some may be closed due to weather conditions), plus for the holidays in Disneyland they add new entertainment, hold contests, competitions.

How to visit Disneyland in winter

Even in winter, getting to Disneyland in Paris is not a problem, guests are delivered to its entrance tourist buses, RER surface subway cars, taxis, rented cars. Express trains regularly run directly from the terminals of Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports. There is a direct bus from London to Disneyland.

It is not difficult to get from the center of Paris to Marne la Valle, home of the Disneyland parks. The Skytrain exit is right at the gates of the Parisian park, line A connects it with transport system French capital.

To visit Disneyland Paris in winter, you need to buy tickets online in advance (print the electronic version or exchange it at bookstores Paris). This will save money (at the box office at the entrance it will be more expensive) and time standing in line. Children should be dressed according to the weather, warmly, but not to interfere with movement. It is better to take spare socks and tights with you in case of slush and snow porridge.

There are numerous cafes and restaurants on the territory of Disneyland, but there are also queues for them. In case of frost, you can warm up in the establishments of Marne la Vallee, outside the park. Tickets allow you to return to Disneyland throughout the day.

Afterword

In winter, Disneyland is transformed, significantly differing in design from the summer one. Decorators create the effect of winter, replacing the capricious nature, plus they create a special mood on the eve of the holidays. It is better to visit Disneyland in Paris with children in early December, the atmosphere and Santa Claus are already there, but there are no queues yet.

Parents are embarrassed by cold weather and queues, but here the issue is solved by warm clothes and constant movement around the territory of Disneyland. Hot drinks and snacks are available to take away, or have tea for the child at the Disney Village Café.

Winter is a special time for a trip to Disneyland Paris, children and adults will fall into the unique atmosphere of a fairy tale. This trip to France will be remembered for a lifetime.

Disneyland Paris is fabulous place which has been attracting children and adults from different countries peace. And this applies not only to the warm season, but also to winter. It may not be so comfortable to visit this place in winter due to the decrease in temperature, but there are not only disadvantages to a winter trip, but also advantages.

If you have never been to Disneyland before and only have a vague idea of what kind of place this is, then you should understand that this is a full-fledged developed entertainment city with excellent infrastructure, which includes residential and business districts, a village of boutiques, as well as a large number of incredible rides. On the territory of the park there is an opportunity to play golf, as well as visit one of the restaurants located on the territory of the park (there are about 50 restaurants on the territory of Disneyland). There are also themed clubs that sound rock, country and disco.

The park is open all year round and is usually open from 10 am to 10.30 pm, but there may be changes in work, so before the trip it is best to look at the official website, where all detailed information to help you plan your trip.

Disneyland covers an area of two thousand hectares, and in order to explore the entire territory and ride most of the attractions, you need to allocate at least a few days (it makes no sense to go for one day). Staying at a hotel at Disneyland is not necessary, as it is unreasonably expensive. In Paris, you can find cheaper accommodation, and you can get to the park by public transport.

As for the fact that some attractions may not work in winter, I do not know anything. It is possible that during low temperatures, for the safety of tourists, some attractions may not work, but I do not think that if several attractions do not work, it will greatly spoil your experience of traveling to Paris and visiting Disneyland. Moreover, in winter, on the eve of Christmas and new year holidays special events are organized in the park entertainment programs and activities.

Previously, many tourists came to this park in the winter, as they did not want to stand in lines in the summer, but now a purchase system has been developed electronic tickets, which makes it possible to buy a ticket via the Internet, print it out and not stand in line at the box office.

From the fact that you visit this park in winter, your impression and mood will not deteriorate at all, and perhaps even become better, since Disneyland is much more spacious in winter. And if some attractions do not work, then you may not even notice it.
