Go skiing and snowmobiling, visit Santa Claus and join the folk customs. Belarus: where to relax, where to go

It makes sense to combine a walk along the coast with a visit to Nanosy. This is a complex of guest houses in which the atmosphere of the 19th century is recreated. If you stay here overnight, you can melt the stove, milk the cow, and show the children where the eggs come from (guests are invited to a real chicken coop). The houses have separate children's rooms with a bed and a couch.

Personal experience. Asya Poplavskaya, travel blogger:

This is one of my favorite vacation spots in Belarus. I have been there 9 times and every time I found something new and interesting for myself.

I especially like the horse show, which over the course of three years has grown into a rich performance featuring rare breeds of horses (for example, the Friesian breed is one of the most beautiful in the world!), donkey, mini-ponies, goats and dogs. This almost two-hour show will not leave indifferent neither children nor adults. After the performance, you can chat with all the artists, take pictures on horseback and ride it.

Children, I think, will be interested in a tour of the complex, which has museums of life and bread, a museum of samovars (the largest in the CIS), a museum of retro cars and numismatics. In the museum of bread, located in a working water mill, you can take part in a master class on baking bread. Also, children can communicate with rabbits, guinea fowls, geese, which are in the mini-farms near the houses of the complex.

On holidays they usually make interesting programs with tea tasting, pancakes, delicious homemade lunch, sightseeing tour on the complex and horse shows. All this is available within the framework of a one-day tour.

On the eve of Victory Day, it will be great to move history lessons for children to Fresh air and drive around the places of military glory in Belarus. It is unlikely that there will be at least one boy who refuses to look into the dugout, climb tanks and take pictures against the backdrop of a military aircraft.

Mound of Glory, for sure, many passed experienced travelers on the way to the airport. Did you go upstairs? They say that by climbing two concrete stairs, each of which includes 241 steps, you can thereby honor the feat of the Soviet people. And at the same time repeat the score with the children.

About the tragedy Belarusian village Khatyn, for sure, any schoolboy knows. During the war years, 149 people were burned alive here, 70 of them were children. Only one adult Joseph Kaminsky survived. Waking up, he found his little son among the burnt bodies. The 6-meter sculpture, which was erected in Khatyn, symbolizes both Kaminsky himself and the general tragedy Soviet people who lost their sons and daughters.

It will be interesting to go with the children to the Stalin Line, which is an open-air museum (all the exhibits are original, you can touch them with your hands). The complex is located next to small lake, where you can ride boats and catamarans, shoot with children at the shooting range or try out weapons from the war.

The tour ends with a visit to the newly built Museum of the Great Patriotic War in Minsk. Large-scale installations and live exhibitions will delight children!

Personal experience. Katya Grintsevich, mother of three children:

Our family believes that it is better to study the history of Belarus not from dry textbooks, but during family trips and excursions. Usually we plan the weekend in advance, carefully think over the route, collect information about the places where we are going.

A separate topic of travel is the Great Patriotic War. We were in the Brest Fortress, the WWII museum, counted the steps of the Mound of Glory, climbed all the permitted equipment on the Stalin Line. But Khatyn has become a particularly moody place for our family. A ghost village, piercing silence, broken by the cry of bells every 30 seconds. The heart shrinks when you read the tablets with the names and ages of the children on the remains of houses. Values fall into place by themselves.

We came to Khatyn closer to closing, when there is no influx of people. Then there is an unreal atmosphere. This is not a soulless technique that children often perceive as a game. This is not an entertainment place, there are no playgrounds or fast food. But this is the place where, in my opinion, it is necessary to take the children to better appreciate the world, the house, mom and dad, and even their lives.

The Sula Park Museum is located not far from Minsk - 50 kilometers away, on the shore of the lake. Once the Lensky family lived here - in their own large estate, with a mill, a greenhouse and a landscape park. Much was destroyed during the war years, but 5 years ago the complex was restored.

Now this place is recommended by many for families, and all thanks to the activities that are offered to guests. Here you can ride horses kept in a local stable, go fishing, ride a drakar - a ship of brave Vikings - and even fly a helicopter.

Personal experience. Elena Berezkina, mother of two children:

The first thing I want to note is the friendliness and courtesy of each employee. Children immediately began to admire the beauty of the area - the river, the bridge, ancient buildings, centuries-old trees. Although it was only the beginning of April, the weather pleased us.

There was a blacksmith in the forge, he told how he works with steel, showed his creations. In the almost restored castle, everyone was given a chance to throw spears, knives, and archery.

Adults and children rode in a cart, children rode a horse. By the way, all this is included in the price of the entrance ticket. As well as a treat in a brovar-distillery with a local tincture of 18 herbs. The park has a playground with swings, a sandbox and slides.

In the hall-museum of gentry glory, we examined the paintings and local life with live music. And how long we were there, how much the musician played for us. It was indescribable!

Unfortunately, the drakar (a large Viking boat) was under repair, but they promised to launch it by the end of April. Riding on it is also included in the ticket price. On the site of ancient beliefs, we went into a real hut on chicken legs. The girl in traditional clothes told about the beliefs of the Belarusians, why the hut stands on legs and why these legs are called chicken legs.

On the territory there is a cafe where you can eat and relax. But food is asked to order in advance - about half an hour. We had everything with us, so we did not go to the cafe.

We also visited old houses - the exposition block " Belarusian shtetl"- in one of them they told us about weaving in Belarus, in the other - a Jewish house - they told us about the life of shtetl Jews and famous Jews, immigrants from Belarus. And all this is clear and with examples.

If you are ready to go on an overnight trip, it makes sense to consider a 2-day excursion to Brest.

The program can turn out to be very rich - with a stop at Belovezhskaya Pushcha, visiting the museum of nature and the estate of Father Frost (yes, you can visit him all year round).

It makes sense to rent bicycles in Pushcha - special routes have been developed for walking. In addition to bison, lynxes, wild boars, ostriches, deer, elks, wolves and other inhabitants of the forest live in the enclosures.

In Brest, not a single excursion is complete without a visit to the fortress, which was built in the middle of the 19th century! And the fortress became famous thanks to its heroic defense in the first days of the war. In Brest itself, everyone praises the pedestrian street, where in the evenings a lamplighter in the form of Peter the Great lights retro lanterns.

Personal experience. Olga Davletbaeva, mother of 2 children:

The Brest Fortress amazed us with its splendor: what are the walls of one and a half to two meters thick, round vaults. Inland territory huge! We did not even manage to get around it in two days. The children really liked the open-air equipment, where you can not only touch military equipment, but also climb a cannon, for example. From entertainment, a shooting range and photos in military uniform are available.

But it is very important to take food with you, we had problems with this. On weekends there are weddings in the cafe nearby, so there was nowhere to eat.

We also looked into Archaeological Museum"Berestye". Entry for preschoolers is free. Archaeological finds dating back to the 11th-14th centuries are exhibited here. At a depth of 4 meters, there is a part of the old craft quarter: about 30 wooden residential and outbuildings of the 13th century, two street pavements, a palisade, the remains of adobe stoves.

Then, at the request of our son, we went to the museum railway engineering, which is located directly across the street from the main entrance to the Brest Fortress. Some trains were open: it was possible not only to sit in the driver's seat, but also to look at the "internal organs" of the train control. Many exhibits are active and used in filming.

We did not have time to walk around the city and along the pedestrian street. We left, but promised to return and be sure to see how the lanterns are lit on this street.

Those who love churches should head to the west of the country this weekend. So, for example, as part of the Belarusian Mosaic tour, tourists are offered to see the three most significant sights of Western Belarus: the Trinity Church in the village of Gervyaty, which is called “little Switzerland” and “Belarusian Notre Dame”, the church Mother of God Ruzhantsova in Rakov, more than once destroyed and restored almost from scratch, the church of St. Michael the Archangel.

Without a doubt, the leader of this trio can be called the church in Gervyaty, which is located near the border with Lithuania. When Belarusians just started to discover this attraction a few years ago, many nodded their heads in surprise: “Wow, is this what we have in Belarus? I do not believe!".

This is one of the most high temples in Belarus (about 61 meters high), it is made in the Neo-Gothic style, which is not at all typical for Belarus. Inside there is a functioning body, which is already more than 100 years old, and it was created specifically for Gervyat.

Personal experience. Irina Pronko, mother:

The main impressions are the majestic beauty of the church in the middle of the village and the friendliness of the priest, who accepts everyone as his own. A fairly large area, I believe that the child will have a place to run - a bunch of flower beds, flower beds, paths. And tall, as if to the sky, a Gothic temple. It's really impressive!

I don’t know how the priest participates in the excursion if a group comes, but he shows and tells everything to single people with great enthusiasm. My parents went there several times, they were also completely delighted.

The service is in three languages, as this is a border zone with Lithuania. I myself am a Catholic, the children in our church sing and even dance sometimes, so this is very interesting for us.

Tourist portal VETLIVA.RU

Rest in Belarus is a great option to get away from the daily routine. The VETLIVA.RU portal will help you discover the country and admire the Belarusian sights. Book an excursion or transfer, relax in a sanatorium or farmstead, book a room in a hotel or a hotel. And if you wish, you can combine several options. Travel towards your dreams!

I entrusted the choice of unused places to a professional: a guide and co-founder of the service for finding excursions in Belarus Guides.by - Natalya Palchuk. The task was this: no Mir and Nesvizh! These places, of course, are iconic, but we want to go along little-known routes.

So, we present five non-trivial options for traveling in Belarus

For art historians: the Repin estate "Zdravnevo" near Vitebsk

Love art? Take tickets to Vitebsk. Not far from this city is the estate of the artist Ilya Repin, where he lived for 8 years. The wooden house was built according to the sketches of Repin himself and the building looks more like a fairy-tale tower.

During the Second World War, the estate was completely destroyed, but in the 80s the architects restored it according to old sketches. The main house now houses the Repin Museum, and the area around it is a downright charming park.

Get on your own: There are enough options to get to Vitebsk from Minsk. The estate itself is located 16 km from the city. You can get to it by public transport: bus number 26 to the village. Ruby, or bus 26A to the bridge of the Dvina River, from where follow the sign for 1 km.

For tourists: church in Gervyaty

From those who love sightseeing trips, and without hesitation are ready to go to bus tour even around the whole Earth, we recommend going to see the church in Gervyaty.

Have you heard of this? If the answer is no, then get ready to see the highest and most beautiful church in Belarus. Surprisingly, for some reason this place is not very well known among Belarusians. But it is better not to go purposefully to the church, but to go as part of the Ostrovets Round the World tour.

Its essence lies in the fact that in one trip you can visit all the best Catholic churches in the Grodno region and see the churches in Soly, Mikhalishki, Vornyany and Ostrovets.

Get on your own: From Minsk by train Minsk-Gudogai (you need a receipt for payment for visiting the border zone, you can pay at Belarusbank). From Gudogai by bus to Ostrovets, from Ostrovets by bus to Giri.

For historians: Museum of the Old Believers in Vetka

Natalya Palchuk, our tour assistant, put the Museum of the Old Believers in Vetka in first place in personal rating museums in Belarus. There is no other museum in our country with such a number of rare exhibits and immersion in the topic.

Even the best option would be to first go to Gomel, see the Rumyantsev-Paskevich Palace, and then take the train and get to Vetka, which is very close to the city. Our guide guarantees that there will be no limit to the delight of the museum.

Photo vetka.by

Get on your own: From Minsk to Gomel, from the Gomel bus station by bus to Vetka

For gourmets: Korobchitsy complex near Grodno

How tasty they serve real Belarusian dishes in Korobchitsy! Mmmm... But this agro-tourist complex is interesting not only for its restaurant. This is a real open-air museum.

The complex is located near Grodno (the most beautiful city in Belarus, by the way). It is worth starting from the city itself, and then making a trip to the nature in Korobchitsy. The territory of the complex is huge and stylized as an old manor of the 19th century. There is a restaurant with Belarusian cuisine, a knight's playground, workshops craftsmen and a zoo. In general, there will be enough impressions for everyone!

Get on your own: From Minsk to Grodno by bus, train or minibus. From the Grodno bus station there are buses from Grodno - Korobchitsy estate, as well as a fixed-route taxi.

For mystics: Turov and Turov crosses

Stone Turov crosses grow directly from the ground. Moreover, they grow - this is in the literal sense of the word. They are considered a miracle of Belarus, which scientists still cannot explain. Many articles have been written about crosses, thousands of pilgrims come to them every month, scientists study them. But there are more and more questions. So for the search for miracles only here.

In addition, it is worth looking into the oldest Belarusian city Tours and see the ancient castle, where the remains of wooden residential buildings and the foundation of the church of the 11-12th century, as well as the former Uniate church, where the largest stone crosses are kept.

Get on your own: From Minsk to Stolin / David-Gorodok / Zhitkovichi, and from these cities you can take suburban buses to Turov. Or by train from Minsk to Kalinkovichi, and then by suburban bus.

Have a great and meaningful weekend!

On World Tourism Day, we have prepared five routes in Belarus: budget, one-day, accessible for trips with children and ideal for autumn. The routes were compiled by the winners of the republican contest "Know Belarus" different years. These people traveled almost all over Belarus, submitted photographs against the background of historical objects for the competition and learned from their own experience what we should be proud of.

Minsk - Kosovo - Ruzhany - Synkovichi - Slonim - Zhirovichi - Minsk

Deputy Director for Economics and Finance of the publishing house "Our Idea" Dmitry Kostyukevich with his wife and two children became laureates of the "Know Belarus" contest in 2009, in 2008 they took second place in the same contest. For two years they visited more than 200 historical sites of the country. As a way to travel by car, Dmitry suggests going along the route Minsk - Kossovo - Ruzhany - Synkovichi - Slonim - Zhirovichi - Minsk.

The round trip is about 527 kilometers and takes more than six hours. In autumn, it is best to go on such a trip at six in the morning in order to have time to see all the objects during daylight hours. In about three hours, along the Moscow-Brest highway from Minsk, you can get to the city of Ivatsevichi and there turn towards the city of Kossovo, and then the town of Merechevshchina. There are two places worth visiting here: the Puslovsky Palace and the Museum-Estate of Tadeusz Kosciuszko.

The palace was built by voivode Kazimir Puslovsky. It began to be erected in 1838. The building was created in the Neo-Gothic style and consists of 12 towers, which symbolize the months of the year. It is said that the building had a glass floor, and under it an aquarium with fish, guarded by a live lion.

After the uprising of Kastus Kalinovsky was suppressed in 1863, the palace was confiscated and given to Moscow aristocrats. After the First World War, it was heavily destroyed, then reconstructed and used as administrative premises. During World War II, the Nazis made a ghetto in the palace; at the end of the war, part of the building was destroyed by fire.

Not far from the palace is the estate of the leader of the national liberation movement Tadeusz Kosciuszko, which was restored in 2004.

The next point of the trip is Ruzhany. At the beginning of the 17th century, the city of Ruzhany belonged to Lev Sapega and had Magdeburg rights. Not far from the city is the Ruzhany Palace, where the Sapieha family lived. Today there is a restoration going on. It is interesting that work on the restoration of the palace began even under the Soviets. But then the wing began to be laid out of ordinary brick, which is unacceptable for restoration. Then these structures were dismantled, the necessary bricks were made, and the wing was remodeled.

After visiting this attraction, we head to the Zelvensky district to the Synkovichi Church. This is the defensive church of St. Michael the Archangel, built in the Belarusian Gothic style.

Another religious site on the route is the Holy Assumption monastery in Zhirovichi. After visiting it, you can stop in Slonim near the Church of St. Andrew the Apostle, built in the Rococo style. During the Second World War, the church was destroyed, since the beginning of the 90s of the XX century, it began to be restored.

According to Dmitry, this route ideal for a day trip. Firstly, a well-paved road leads to all objects. Secondly, in one day you can see a large number of architectural monuments.

In 2010, the Vodnev family became the winner of the competition. Irina Vodneva, head of the local history museum, a branch of the National Polotsk Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve, says that they visited so many objects that they did not even count. To date, the family has visited about 300 places.

Irina realized from her own experience that before going somewhere abroad, you need to see the sights in your native Belarus.

In the photo, on the top left is the Euphrosyne Monastery in Polotsk, on the top right is the Church of St. Anne in Mosar, on the bottom left is the Church of the Virgin Mary in Udelo, on the bottom right is the museum-estate of Yazep Drozdovich. Photo: Andrey Dybovsky, globus.tut.by.

The route takes more than 560 kilometers and eight hours of travel time. In the Dokshitsky district, Irina suggests visiting the village of Shunevka, where memorial Complex"The curse of fascism", in Glubokoye - the Trinity Church and the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin, churches in Udelo and Mosar, a church in Sharkovshchina and the Yazep Drozdovich Museum of Art and Ethnography in Germanovichi. She says that thanks to the competition, she discovered not only Belarus, but also her small homeland, having traveled all over historical objects district. As part of the competition, she visited 57 places.

Daria advises to visit as part of a one-day tour Western Belarus and drive along the route Minsk - Kushlyany - Soly - Vornany - Astravets - Mikhalishki - Gervyaty - Minsk. This route is called "Ostrovets round the world". The road takes more than 400 kilometers and almost seven hours of time.

The remaining points of the route are devoted to religious themes. In Soly we stop at a church built in the postmodern style, in Ostrovets - in a church, appearance which resembles the House of Culture. During the Soviet era, it was indeed converted into a House of Culture. There are many icons in this church, which are considered miraculous. In Vornany there is a church of St. George, and in Mikhalishki - Michael the Archangel. And, perhaps, the pearl of the route is the church Holy Trinity in the village of Gervyaty. If you're lucky, you can enjoy organ concert. There is a well-kept park around the church.

According to Daria, you can stop and have a snack along the route in Ostrovets. There are several inexpensive cafes there.

Minsk - Pershai - Ivenets - Vselyub - Gonchars - Belogruda - Murovanka - Vasilishki - Rozhanka - Minsk

Lawyer Dmitry Shevchuk won the "Know Belarus" contest in 2012, visiting 59 historical sites. Dmitry prefers to travel around Belarus without help travel companies. He says that in this case, the route and sights are better remembered.

He advises tourists to spend one day on the route Minsk - Pershay - Ivenets - Vselyub - Gonchary - Belogruda - Murovanka - Vasilishki - Starye Vasilishki - Shchuchin - Rozhanka - Minsk.

The route is about 600 kilometers and almost nine hours on the road. The direction is full of churches and churches. In the village of Pershai, Volozhin district, there is a church of St. Yuri, in the village of Ivenets, there is a church of St. Michael the Archangel.
