Beach map in May. Patong, Phuket - so famous, but not for the beach, but for the nightlife. The quietest beaches in Phuket - my personal rating

Are you going to Phuket and tangled up in the beaches? Or is it not the first time you are relaxing on the island and want to try a new place? We will help you choose the best beach in Phuket.

What is the best beach in Phuket? As always, it is impossible to give a definite answer - everything is so subjective. After all, privacy is important to someone, and nightlife is important to someone. Therefore, we will give a brief description of each and tell you who it is more suitable for.

All Phuket beaches on the map

Patong Beach

Patong has many faces: crazy party-goers, quiet introverts, families with children, and romantic couples rest here. How do they all get along? It's simple: everyone finds his own corner.

Most tourists in the reviews consider it the best beach in Phuket. Those who appreciate the comfort and accessibility of the benefits of civilization, and also love nightlife, come here. We ourselves lived there three times. If you want peace and tranquility, choose another resort or hotel away from the noisy center.

The infrastructure of the resort is very developed. There are many, there is a large shopping center "Jangceylon" with a Big C hypermarket, cafes, restaurants and macaroons at every step. Countless hotels, guesthouses and resorts.

Patong is quite clean - it is cleaned every day. Powdery white sand and turquoise calm water, a gentle entrance, there is a lot of shade on the shore. There are no secluded places, but you can go to where there are fewer people.

Karon Beach

Karon seemed like a mini-Patong to us: there are also a lot of people, developed infrastructure, there is some kind of nightlife. Rest mostly Russian, especially with children. Karon is the second most popular after Patong. Among the tourists there are many who consider it the best beach in Phuket. Suitable for everyone, except for lovers of solitude.

Karon is long and wide. There are very few shadows, you need to rent a sunbed and an umbrella. The sand is similar to Patong - fine and creaky - but not as light. The water is clear when there are no waves. The entrance to the sea is gentle, but the sea is deep. There are rip currents, so be careful. Supervise children while swimming.

Hot tours search on services and - they compare prices of 120 popular tour operators. Want to save? Explore ours.

Kata Beach

Kata is almost the same as Karon. They even merged in our memories. There are also many Russians, similar sand, an island in the sea. Only the hotel stretched along the coast, which is why there are only two exits to Kata Beach - in the north and south. There are almost no cafe-restaurants, respectively, on the shore. Suitable for couples with children, because the entrance to the sea is gentle, and the depth increases gradually.

Kata Noi Beach

Very cute small beach, on the sides of which lie picturesque stones. We remember the heavenly water and peaceful atmosphere. Quiet, few people. Of the minuses - there is almost no shade, you have to rent an umbrella. We would call Kata Noi one of the best beaches in Phuket for a relaxing and romantic holiday, as well as families with children.

The infrastructure is almost not developed: there are few shops, cafes and hotels. But all this is in Katya - it's easy to get there. There are expensive and beautiful hotels on the coast.

Nai Harn Beach

We believe that this is one of the best beaches in Phuket for a relaxing, but not far from civilization holiday. It was chosen by Russians (as, indeed, almost all the beaches of the island) and families with children.

Fine clean sand, gentle entrance, no waves. There are few shadows, but there are umbrellas. There is a minimum infrastructure: a toilet and a shower, restaurants, cafes and macaques. picturesque nature, beautiful views to the green hills. People come here from other places. Bike parking is big. Nearby - a lake with a temple and a shady park, windmills with an observation deck.

Ao Sane Beach

This is a tiny but extremely cute beach with boulders next to Nai Harn - you have to drive a little on a bike past the Naiharn On The Rock hotel. There is a restaurant where you can rent equipment for snorkeling and diving, and a hotel. There are sunbeds and umbrellas.

Ya Nui Beach

We really liked it here! Almost idyllic landscapes, few people. The shadow is thick, but not enough. Yanui attracted us with the purest water, in which colorful fish swim, a sandy isthmus and a rocky peninsula where you can climb - which we did. The best beach in Phuket for those who are tired of the frantic pace of life.

The only negative is that there are few areas in the sea where there are no stones. There are usually kids running around. At low tide, stones are exposed and fish swim in the creeks. Have coral slippers.

From the infrastructure - a couple of restaurants across the road, inland - hotels. There is a rental of kayaks and snorkeling equipment.

Solo travelers We advise you to look for hotels on the Roomguru.ru service. It will help you find the lowest price. Don't know how to use it? Read tips.

Rawai and Chalong (Rawai and Chalong)

These are technical beaches, they do not swim. Very dirty and smelly. But here, cheap housing and food are what many long-steers use: they rent a house with a bike and go to other beaches.

Kamala Beach

Kamala Beach is conditionally divided into three parts. In the south, to the bridge, the road runs close to the sea. Tin is going on there: boats, a lot of garbage, the water is dirty and no one bathes. There are several restaurants.

All tourists are concentrated in the center and in the north, across the river: there are umbrellas and sunbeds, cafes, food vendors. There are many people. The sand is cleaned here, the water is also clean. There are breaking waves, but in general the sea is quite calm (but out of season, according to tourists, it is stormy and dangerous).

The resort is comfortable for recreation and living: there are calm beach, and more or less developed infrastructure, and civilized Patong at hand. Suitable for almost all categories of vacationers.

Surin Beach

Nice beach with fine yellow sand and very clear water. Rocky capes along the edges form a cozy bay. There is little shade, but there are umbrellas. Calm and quiet. Suitable for everyone except nightlife lovers.

The sand is clean, but closer to the road it gets dirty. The "promenade" itself is terrible and shocked us: mud, puddles, garbage. The infrastructure is minimal, but there is everything you need: cheap food (food court across the road), toilet and shower, parking for bikes.

Bang Tao Beach

A giant beach in Phuket, the second longest after Mai Khao - it stretches for about 7 km. Ban Tao is suitable for a calm family vacation- it seemed to us one of the most deserted. A casuarina grove with palm trees grows almost along the entire coast, so there is a shadow, but it almost disappears in the afternoon.

In the south, developed infrastructure: sunbeds, water activities, cafes and shops. Lots of hotels, clubs, bars. The sand is clean, the water is calm, but with suspension. The center and north are much less populated and developed. The central region is the most beautiful, well-groomed and respectable: there is a lagoon formed by a network of lakes. There are many expensive hotels and resorts around the lagoon. The north is almost deserted, but there are villas.

I really didn't like the area next to the Green Leaf restaurant (outside the beach where the parking is) - such a dump! Pigs and chickens burrow in it. There is an unbearable stench.

The beaches of Phuket are the best attraction of the island, and indeed of Thailand. There are more than 20 of them on the island, but only a little more than 10 are popular with tourists, on this, one of the most famous beach resorts Thailand

Which beach in Phuket to choose, where surfers go, and where the waves are smaller and where it is better to go on a beach holiday with children in Phuket - a description and my reviews with photos of the best beaches in the resort in a new post about holidays in Thailand.

And detailed map Phuket Islands in Russian with hotel recommendations with a selection of Phuket beaches will be a nice bonus.

In order for you to orient yourself in such a multitude of marks and incomprehensible names on the map, I will first break down the entire huge list with the beach areas of Phuket from north to south.

Beaches on the east side of Phuket:

  • Chalong Beach
  • Cape Panwa Beach
  • Rawai Beach

Hotels with private beaches in Phuket

As such, there are practically no private beaches in Phuket, there are a number of large hotels with a conditionally limited territory, where a wider range of services and services is offered to the guest. However, as far as I know, all the listed hotels have free access to the water and no one will forbid you to come to sunbathe on any of the listed beaches.

  • Beach hotel Le Meridien (Le Meridiun Phuket Beach Resort)
  • Trisara Resort Beach
  • Beach at Layan Beach Resort
  • Merlin Beach Resort Beach
  • KataThani beach

Well, I’ll add a map with the beaches of Phuket from Google, you can add it to your favorites and use it online:

I will start my description of the beaches of Phuket, perhaps, with the three most famous and popular beaches: Patong, Karon and Kata Beach.

All three beaches - bays are perfectly visible from observation platform Phuket, where you may go on an excursion. Many package tourists, I think, probably do not even suspect that there are some other beaches on the island of Phuket besides these three. It is probably more convenient for travel agencies to have people concentrated in certain areas so that they can not waste time collecting people around the island when they need to be taken to the airport or taken on a group tour.

Patong (Patong Beach)

Patong Beach is the most famous and most party beach in Phuket, it is within walking distance from the local "Walking Street" - Bangla Road. And in general, there should be no problems how to get to Patong, in principle. You can get here by taxi, and even on foot from neighboring beaches from Kamala or Karon, adjacent to Patong from different sides.

But the problem of finding a free place in Patong at the height of the season is quite real. There may not be so many people here at the resorts. Krasnodar Territory, but in any case, I personally do not like too crowded beaches at all. But here, who cares.

If you plan to sunbathe during the day and party at nightclubs at night, love shopping or come for special entertainment - Patong Beach in Phuket is probably one of the best options. Otherwise, you can simply splurge on a taxi if you want to constantly travel to Patong for entertainment, and a taxi in Phuket is far from the cheapest in Thailand, and the distances are not small.

Patong Beach is sandy with a gentle and even entry into the water. But due to the large crowds, jet skis and other water activities, the water in the Patong area is not the cleanest. Which is a “minus” for me, but usually people go to Patong not to enjoy the pristine nature.

Useful information for those who choose to rest in Patong:

  • The distance from Phuket Airport to Patong is 36 km. Taxi from Phuket airport to Patong online at a price from 1900 rub. will help solve the problem of how to get to Patong from the airport without overpayments.
  • Book hotels in Patong

Karon (Karon Beach)

Karon Beach in Phuket is famous for its special white sand, which creaks underfoot almost like freshly fallen snow, it is also called “singing sand” (the sand is also creaky on Naithon Beach). Because of this peculiarity of it and from what is concentrated here a large number of hotels popular with Russians and other tourists, Karon Beach is also quite crowded almost all year round.
Just like in Patong, the beach on Karon is separated from coastline with hotels asphalt road. I don't know how critical this is, but that's the fact.
Karon Beach is bordered on the north by Patong, and from south side adjacent to Kata Beach. The entrance to the water on Karon is quite gentle, and the low tides are insignificant, however, to get to a great depth, it will take some time to go along the seabed.

Useful information for those who choose to rest on Karon:

  • The distance from Phuket Airport to Karon Beach is 49 km. Taxi from Phuket airport to Karon can be ordered.
  • Best hotels on Karon beach with discounts

Kata (Kata Beach)

My acquaintance with the island began from Kata Beach in Phuket, where I once arrived for the first time on my winter beach vacation. Since then, I have come here several times already and I can say that of the three beaches listed above, I consider Kata Beach the best in Phuket in many ways.
Due to the fact that right in front of the beaches in the sea there is a huge rock against which waves break, there are rarely big waves on Kata Beach, which is why it is so popular with me and with tourists with children and all those who are afraid of waves.

Usually when I'm on vacation in Phuket, I stay on Kata Beach in a hotel near the end of the beach, where the eponymous Kata Beach Resort is located. I like this place the most, because from here you can quickly get to both the main beach of Kata Beach and one of the most beautiful beaches in Phuket - Kata Noi.

Useful information for those who choose to rest on Kata Beach

  • The distance from Phuket Airport to Kata Beach is 55 km. A taxi from Phuket Airport to Kata Beach costs a little more from 2175 rubles.
  • The best hotels in Kata Beach can be booked with discounts

Nai Harn (Nai Harn Beach)

Nai Harn Beach is a beach in Phuket, popular with winterers, where, in addition to visiting tourists, you can also meet local residents. Nai Harn is located near the Phuket observation deck and the elephant farm. Quite a beautiful beach, surrounded by a casuarina grove and picturesque rocks.

Another interesting landscape feature, not far from Naiharn beach there is a small beautiful lake. Of the minuses, perhaps, on Nai Harn beach there are almost always quite large waves and then flags are put up on the beach forbidding swimming. Which, in general, does not prevent locals and children from splashing in a small sea "puddle", which almost always forms here during the evening low tides.

Useful information for those who choose to relax on Nai Harn Beach:

  • The distance from Phuket Airport to Nai Harn is 51 km. A taxi from Phuket airport to Nai Harn (the southernmost point of the island) will cost from 2311 rubles. if you order online at Kiwi Taxi.
  • The best hotels in Nai Harn

Bang Tao (Bang Tao Beach)

Bang Tao Beach is the longest beach in Phuket - about 5 km, on some maps it is even divided into two beaches - Bang Tao northern and southern. Most tourist activity is concentrated in the southern part of Bang Tao Beach - there are most hotels, restaurants and cafes.
Bang Tao is more popular with the pretentious public and travelers with children. In the Bang Tao area, there are several large hotels with a full service for children and their parents. So you don’t need to look for a nanny on vacation in Thailand. In which case, the child will always be left with someone.

Most large hotel this bay Laguna Beach Resort, with a large and well-groomed territory and its own access to the beach. But this does not mean at all that having settled in Bang Tao you will have to endure children's cries, noise and din. Right there on Bang Tao you can find a hotel where guests with children are not allowed to stay, so peace and relaxation in the style of relaxation on Bang Tao beach is more than possible.
It should be borne in mind that in the south of Bang Tao, tourist life is more concentrated, there are more cafes, restaurants, hotels and people, respectively.
But in general, life on Bang Tao Beach is more measured and bourgeois, and this Bang Tao sometimes resembles European beach resorts. But of course, fresh coconuts and mango fresh can also be offered here. That's just the price tag on average by 15-20 percent will be more expensive than on more democratic beaches.

Useful information for those who choose to relax on Bang Tao Beach

  • The distance from Phuket Airport to Bangtao is 36 km. Taxi from Phuket airport to Bang Tao from 1903 rubles.
  • The best hotels in Bang Tao - Laguna Beach Resort, Moevenpick Resort, in the south of Bang Tao - Bangtao Beach Resort

Surin (Surin Beach)

Surin Beach in Phuket is quite small, a small cozy cove less than a km long, because of this, there are often reviews on Surin that there are almost more people here than anywhere else. Although there are still fewer of them than on the beaches of the first "troika". Surin Beach on Phuket Krat is located next to Bang Tao and, if desired, you can walk from the southern part of Bang Tao to Surin and back.
There are few shops in Surin and there is no nightlife, so families with children and pensioners most often relax in Surin.

Useful information for those who choose a holiday in Surin:

  • The distance from Phuket Airport to Surin is 23 km. Taxi from Phuket airport to Surin beach from 1903 rubles. by Kiwi Taxi.
  • Best hotels in Surin

Kamala Beach

Kamala Beach is a bit like Bang Tao - a large, calm, semi-wild beach with a minimum of nightlife and all sorts of entertainment. That is why families with children and European pensioners love it.
Reviews on Kamala Beach in Phuket are almost always only positive, however, it is worth bearing in mind that the level of hotels and the general environment. Hotels on Kamala Beach have direct access to the sea, it is worth choosing those that are closer to the edges of the bay, because. in the central part of the entrance to the sea there is a rocky bottom with sharp stones.
From the infrastructure of Kamala Beach there are shops, including a small Tesco Lotus and Big C. It is also where the FantaSea marine show takes place.

From Surin Beach to the northern part of Kamala Beach can be reached on foot, and the north of Patong borders on the south of Phuket, respectively. So a holiday on Kamala Beach can be a great alternative for those who want a less crowded beach during the day and have a great time and party after dark

Useful information for those who choose to relax on Kamala Beach

  • The distance from Phuket Airport to Kamala Beach is 27 km. A taxi from the airport to Kamala costs from 1903 rubles. .
  • Best hotels on Kamala beach

Tri Trang (Tri Trang Beach)

Tri Trang Beach is difficult to see on the map of Phuket, its length is about 700 meters and it is located next to Patong, with all the Tri Trang Beach Resort Hotel is one of the main attractions of this beach, I personally have not reached Tri Trang yet, but reviews on Tri Trang are usually describe its quiet secluded beach, where there are almost never high waves.

Useful information for those who choose to relax on Tri Trang beach

    • The distance from Phuket Airport to Tri Trang is 22 km. Taxi from Phuket airport to Tri Trang beach can be ordered cheaply from 1971 rubles. depending on the vehicle class.
    • The Three Trang Beach Hotel in Phuket is very popular with tourists who know a lot about beach holidays

Freedom (Freedom Beach)

Freedom Beach in Phuket is another small cove that can be reached from Patong or Karon by boat (cost 300-400 baht round trip), from other beaches, in general, it is also possible, but it will cost more.
It should be borne in mind that the entrance to Freedom Beach is paid (something in the region of 200 baht). Expenses are certainly not very inspiring, but sometimes you can pay for paradise.

Knighton (Nighton Beach)

Naithon Beach is a small kilometer-long "singing sand" beach, which is a wilder and more secluded version of the popular Karon Beach, because of this, this beach is often recommended in reviews for families with children in Phuket. Nai Thon Beach is located in the very north of Phuket, not far from the airport.

Useful information for those who choose to relax on Nai Thon Beach

  • A taxi from Phuket Airport to Naithon Beach costs from 1835 rubles. per trip subject to booking a car
  • Best Hotels on Naithon Beach - Naithonburi Beach Resort

Mai Khao (Mai Khao Beach)

The longest beach in Phuket, famous for being called Mai Khao beach in Phuket, where planes land and where Instagrammers from all over the world go to take a selfie with a low-flying plane called Mai Khao.

Such unique places, where you can take such a photo on earth, there are not so many, and so it’s worth going to Mai Khao Beach, which is located near Phuket Airport, just for beautiful photos.

Another feature of Mai Khao Beach is its popularity among divers who come here in May, when whale sharks, these beautiful giants with a peaceful nature, breed in the water area. and of course, for the sake of the giant sea turtles, who also chose this beach for breeding, from November to February, sea turtles come to Mai Khao to lay their eggs.

Useful information for those who choose to rest on Mai Khao

  • Taxi from Phuket airport to Mai Khao beach from 1903 rubles. on the Kiwi Taxi website
  • Best hotels in Mai Khao

Rawai Beach

There is hardly anyone swimming on the beach itself. This is a "technical" beach where fishermen's boats park. From Nai Harn you can get here in about 10-15 minutes. The main attraction of Rawai Beach is a huge number of cafes and restaurants where you can taste the freshest fish and seafood.

Useful information for those who choose to relax on Rawai Beach

  • The cost of a taxi ride from Phuket Airport to Rawai Beach from 2311 rubles. when ordering
  • The best hotels on Rawai Beach

Kata Noi (Kata Noi Beach)

Kata Noi, for me, is perhaps one of the best beaches in Phuket. The 4-star hotel located here has direct access to the sea directly from the hotel, other tourists can also use this beach

The most luxurious hotel on Kata Noi Beach - KataThani

The best beaches in Phuket or my rating of Phuket beaches

I will summarize the descriptions of the best beaches and tell you about them in the format of a small rating, so that it is easier for you to decide which beach in Phuket to choose. We are all different, everyone's preferences are also different, so this kind of recommendations will allow you to quickly navigate in all the wealth of choice.

I won't be wrong if I say that most popular beaches in Phuket- Patong, Karon and Kata - all three beaches are located in the central part on the western side of Phuket island one after another. It is here that “package tourists” are most often brought, which is why these beaches are the most crowded during the season and I’ll tell you a secret, those who come here on tour packages year after year are sincerely sure that these three beaches are all that the island has to offer.

"Luxury" beach with expensive hotels and decent public in Phuket— Surin, Kata Noi, Bang Tao. Bang Tao is the longest beach on the island north of Patong Beach with a pretentious (mostly European) audience and the corresponding service.

The best beach in Phuket for families with children- Kata, Nai Yang, Knighton, Kamala and Bang Tao, respectively. On Katya and Nai Thon there are almost never big waves, and on Bang Tao there is a decent public and many hotels with children's service, where there are not only children's pools, but also special rooms for children and nannies, which the hotel is ready to provide for all guests.

The best beach on the island for young people and party people— Patong. Discos, night clubs, restaurants and all available forms of entertainment of varying degrees of decency are concentrated here, in the area of Bangla Road, and Patong has become its beach extension.

The best beach in Phuket for surfers— Nai Harn,

The cheapest hotels and rooms in Phuket– worth looking for on the beaches of Rawai, Nai Yang, Naithon Winterers who come to Phuket for weeks and months prefer to rent accommodation here, otherwise you can just go broke.

The best beach in Phuket for a relaxing bounty holiday- small little-known beaches and coves of Knighton, Freedom Beach, Banana, Layan, Paradise Beach and personally I especially love Kata Noi Beach. Due to the fact that these beaches are quite secluded, they are inhabited only by guests of a few few hotels and those few curious tourists who exploring the island for the best beaches on it.

Whale sharks swimming in the waters of Phuket for breeding in April-May and huge morkish turtles laying eggs in the north of Phuket from November to February, divers usually observe in the Mai Khao beach area.

Taxi fare from airport to Phuket beaches

In the description of each beach, I added taxi fares from the Kiwi Taxi service, the cost of the trip, plus or minus, is around 2 thousand rubles, which is much cheaper than cunning Phuket taxi drivers, spoiled European tourists for which a trip of 50-60 euros minimum is the norm.

You can check the current prices for a taxi from Phuket Airport or between the beaches in Phuket right here, on my website

How and on what you can get from one Phuket beach to another

Well, some more useful information for those who want to move around Phuket in other alternative ways than a taxi.

Option 1. Rent a bike to travel around Phuket to different beaches

Quite a popular way to “capture the whole island”, to see all the most interesting corners of Phuket with a minimum of costs. Suitable for those who drive confidently and are confident that they will be able to quickly change to left-hand traffic, which is not the easiest in Phuket, because. there are many serpentine tracks and very narrow roads.

To rent a motorbike, you will need a license, a small deposit and a desire to drive. vehicle on one's own. This issue has its own pitfalls, about which I can’t tell you anything, because. I have never rented a motorbike myself.

Option 2. Between the large beaches of Phuket, there is a city bus

For eternal pedestrians, there is another way to move around the island - city minibus, which connects only the major beaches of Phuket - Patong, Karon and Kathu. On this minibus you can get to Phuket Town and wander through its streets, or go to large shopping centers like Festival, Big C, etc.

Option 3. You can travel between the beaches of Phuket by boat

On all the major beaches of Phuket, there is a boat rental service where you can go to other alternative beaches, both on the island of Phuket itself and on the nearby islands (if you are tired of your own beach, for example, or you just want variety.

Here is an example of tariffs with boat prices from one of the most expensive beaches of the island - Kata Noi:

The beaches in Phuket are one of the main reasons why tourists from all over the world come to Thailand to relax. Why pretend, in Thailand, quite objectively, if not the best beaches in the world, then some of the best - that's for sure.

I’m sitting at the computer, writing these lines, and I myself dream of lying somewhere on a deck chair under an umbrella, picking hot sand with my foot, drinking coconut milk straight from a round coconut and listening to such heart-pleasing words in Taiglish: “Sawadi-ka, madam, massaz twenti baat.
But, honestly, there, lying on a Thai beach, I would hardly be able to write more than “life is beautiful” in my review of the beaches of Phuket. Well, or something like this. So Phuket, wait for me, I'll be there soon!

If you have already vacationed in Phuket, be sure to share in the comments your impressions of those beaches where you have already vacationed? And tell me where else would you like to go?

We will describe the main beaches of Phuket from north to south along the west coast of the island, and tell you about a few beaches located in the south and southeast of the island, which are worth paying attention to.

We visited almost all the beaches of the island and chose. But some beautiful beaches are hard to get to, and somewhere paid entrance. There are hotel private beaches, which are allowed only for hotel guests, we will briefly mention such beaches, because they are famous and people are trying to get there, but there is no point in this. So Phuket beaches!

*** To go around all the beaches of Phuket, you will need nice car. To rent a car in Phuket via the Internet, click on any car below.

Phuket beaches. Complete collection.

Many beaches in Phuket are quite similar to each other. If you are without a car, I don’t see much point in hunting for all the beaches, because some can only be reached by your own transport or taxi (sontego). We take, which allows us to easily conquer any distance. On sontego and buses (Phuket public transport) it is not always convenient to get to distant beaches, and public transport does not go to some beaches.

And also the tastes of all people are different, someone loves solitude and nature, and the other crowd and movement. Someone likes to discover new and hard-to-reach, while the other loves the already familiar and comfortable. Therefore, look at the photos, read the description and choose the beaches to your taste.

We invite you to walk along the beaches of Phuket with us! 🙂

1. Mai Khao Beach

Mai Khao is a beach in the north of Phuket. This is the longest beach, its length is about ten kilometers. Mai Khao Beach is adjacent to the airport. It is he who is (or rather, his most South part) thus a photo beach where people come to take pictures with a landing plane.

This is a beautiful, deserted beach, where you need to swim very carefully. Due to the large ocean waves and reverse currents, this beach is on the list of very dangerous for swimming. There are several five-star hotels on the beach. Near the airport is the largest water park in Phuket - Splash Jungle Water Park. There are several trips to the beach, depending on the purpose of the visit.

2. Nai Yang Beach

Nai Yang is located in the northwest of Phuket. Nai Yang smoothly flows from Mai Khao beach, the border between them is ephemeral, rather the airport separates them. Nai Yang is a small village with Nai Yang Beach and a park dedicated to Queen Sirikit.

The beach near the park is wonderful, we fell in love with it. Huge trees provide natural shade, while the lagoon and reef create a great sea without waves. Groups of parents and children always come here. We recommend! 🙂 From here, landing and taking off planes are also perfectly observed. You can walk to the beach area of the airport.

  • The beach near the protected area is here: 8.101762, 98.299210, in Google it has the name Beach Sirinat National Park

3. Naithon Beach

Nai Thon Beach is nestled between Nai Yang Beach and Bangtao. Naithon Beach is one kilometer long and is surrounded by the park and conservation area of the island. Knighton, in its own way, is hidden from the entire surrounding civilization. The infrastructure is not very developed in the village, the nearest supermarket is in Bangtao.

  • Google coordinates: 8.057709, 98.277673

4. Banana beach

Nice, pleasant beach, from the category of secret, but known to everyone. 🙂 You need to go down the mountain to the beach (easy descent - 5 minutes). The beach is located between Naithon and Bang Tao, parking is small. It is not worth coming specially from the south, but if you live nearby, we recommend it.

5. Layan Beach

Layan Beach is the beginning of Bang Tao Beach, it is a single coastline, a single lagoon, with different names. Layan Beach is often called Bang Tao. Local Thais love to relax on Layan, arranging picnics in the shade of trees on the shore.

6. Bang Tao beach

Bang Tao or six kilometers of tranquility in Phuket, as we called this beach in our article. Bangtao Beach can be divided into southern, central and northern. South and central part most popular among tourists. The significant northern part of Bangtao is occupied by the Laguna Hotel, a whole complex of expensive Laguna hotels and 18 golf courses. This part of the beach is sometimes called Laguna Beach.

The wavy season is not as pronounced on Bangtao as on southern beaches Karon, Kata, Naiharn. Here, already in November, a calm is established, which allows you to fully swim in the sea. There are almost no low tides on the beach, they are only in the northern part of the beach, near the cape (this is Layan beach). The beach is full of natural shade in the form of casuarinas on the shore. In Bang Tao on the beach you can find sunbeds and cafes, as well as several hotel areas.

7. Pansea Beach)

Pansy Hotel Beach is located between Surin and Bang Tao, it is located literally behind a small cape on the north side of Surin Beach. There are two hotels here - The Surin and Amanpuri. You don't need to come specially private beach, and to swim here, it is advisable to stay in the above hotels 🙂

  • Google coordinates: 7.981052, 98.277667

8. Surin beach

The beach is one kilometer long with a wide coastal strip. Surin Beach is considered elite beach Phuket, in the high season, a lot of tourists rest here. Surin Beach is quite wavy, in low season big waves (April to November) you can surf here.

The beach is lined with palm trees and casuarinas, creating a natural shade. The sand is soft, light, pleasant. The water is transparent. Because of the light sand sunny weather, the water acquires a beautiful azure hue.

9. Laem Singh beach.

Laem Sing Beach is located between Surin and Kamala, on a pass not far from the lookout. Entrance to the beach is paid, the descent is simple.

  • Google coordinates: 7.968773, 98.280004

10. Kamala Beach

An elegant lagoon and a graceful shore lined with palm trees. What pleases Kamala is the opportunity to live within walking distance from the sea, several hotels and bungalows are located right on the coast of Kamala. The width of the beach depends on the ebb and flow, but in general the beach is not too wide. There is a natural shade on Kamala Beach, in the heat everyone moves under the trees.

11. Hotel Nakolay beach and strange Kalim beach.

We recorded them together, we wanted to skip them altogether. But, not surprisingly, we were asked a question about Kalim Beach and whether it is worth going to it. So you need to write about these beaches so that there are no questions. So, between Kamala and Patong there is a private Nakolai beach and a public Kalim beach. Nakolay Beach is a private beach of the Absolute Nakalay Beach Resort, only hotel guests can get there. Therefore, there is no need to go there specially, there is nothing special there.

Now about Kalim beach. Friends, this place can be called a beach with a certain amount of irony. The beach is close to the road, there is often a high tide when the coast disappears completely. In the evenings, food bowls are put up here. It's more like a technical beach for fishermen.

In some sources, this beach is described as active. Let's be honest, even those who live in hotels near Kalim go on foot to Patong. We drove past this beach dozens of times, and only once did we take a photo, the rest of the time it’s either low tide and stones, or high tide and no beach.

12. Patong beach.

Patong Beach is the most popular beach in Phuket. This is a whole city where hundreds of hotels and guest houses are located. A thousand massage parlors, bars, restaurants, clothing and cosmetics shops. In Patong you can find everything you can imagine! It gathers an international and mixed-age audience. And European youth, who came for parties, and wise gray-haired grandparents.

In the center of Patong there is a kind of "noise zone", a cluster of bars and nightclubs, as well as budget hotels. No wonder Patong is called “Mini Pattaya”. Toward the north there are very quiet places in Patong where you can stay. We tested in Patong.

Patong Beach is 3 kilometers long, and despite this, during the season it is crowded with people. The sand on the beach is light beige, soft, loose. In the evenings, there are low tides, when the water goes hundreds of meters into the ocean, forming children's puddles on the shore.

13. Tri Trang beach.

Tri Trang Beach is located in the southwest of Phuket and covers a distance of about 730 meters. The Tri Trang Beach Hotel is located on the beach and most of the tourists on the beach are guests of this hotel (80% Russian-speaking). The beach is pleasant, but the whole situation is somewhat reminiscent of a sanatorium in Sochi. Russian is spoken all around, everyone is lying on the same hotel towels, the DJ is playing music.

The beach is bathable, the waves are rare, more often there is an ebb and water is knee-deep. The sand is light, so in sunny weather it can be beautiful here. On Tri Trang beach, an elephant is often bathed and photographed with him. Near the beach there is an advertisement where to call if you want to swim with an elephant and a baby elephant. Tritrang chip. 🙂

A few kilometers from Tri Trang is Paradise Beach, and a short distance (on foot uphill) Freedom Beach.

  • Google coordinates: 7.886211, 98.273464

14. Paradise beach

Paid beach, they take you down the mountain by tuk-tuk. The beach is beautiful and well decorated, lots of areas to visit. Despite the fact that the beach is paid, we like it. On the “paradise” beach, the natural landscape was preserved, although for some reason sunbeds were installed, somehow they had already lost the habit of their visual manifestation, because they were banned on all Phuket beaches for a long time. Paradise is a private area, there are sunbeds and umbrellas, but it's still very beautiful.

15. Freedom beach

Another hard-to-reach, but also paid beach. Either the most daring people get here, because first they go uphill for a long time and then down the ropes. Or the most cunning get here, they rent a boat and swim. But all efforts are worth it! The beach is adorable! It has white sand and azure water. Not so many people, it creates a pleasant feeling from here the most magical fairy tale. True, the thought that you will again have to climb back on foot darkens your mind a little 🙂

16. Karon Noi Beach or Le Meridian Beach Resort Beach.

Despite the fact that Karon Noi Beach (or little Karon) is known to everyone and is located between the popular beaches of Patong and Karon, this is a hotel beach and is allowed there every other time. And in the high season, when there are a lot of guests at the Le Meridian Beach hotel, people from outside are not allowed at all. Therefore, we will show this beach just for statistics, we do not recommend going there at all. The beach is beautiful, located in a cozy lagoon.

  • Google coordinates: 7.866348, 98.283246

17. Karon beach

Karon Beach is one of the longest beaches in Phuket. Its length is about four kilometers. Karon Beach is located on the west coast of Phuket, 45 km from the international airport and 20 km from Phuket Town. In length, Karon Beach stretched itself for four long kilometers. This allows tourists who do not like extras to spread out along the entire coastline to avoid the feeling of crowding.

From December to March-April, the sea on Karon calms down, but waves are possible. From May to November, there are huge waves on Karon Beach, it is unlikely that you will be able to swim. There are lifeguards, everywhere there are flags where entry into the sea is recommended (Swim here) or red flags where entry into the water is prohibited, there may be reverse currents.

The sand is pleasant, yellowish-brown, soft. Kids love it, suitable for building castles. It is believed that Karon is the most squeaky beach in Phuket due to the high content of quartz in the sand. Russian speech is heard everywhere, most restaurants have Russian menu(with funny names “sweet and sour shrimp, spicy” - this is tom yum soup) and the names of the stores have long been translated into Russian.

18. Katha beach

Kata is a beach in the southwest of the island, about one and a half kilometers long, the width of the beach depends on the tide. Kata Beach can be divided into three parts: southern, central and northern. Farther south, across the cape, is a beautiful white sand beach Kata Noi (or little Kata).

There are not just a lot of tourists on Kata Beach, but a lot! 🙂 And even in the "off season" when it's still raining in Phuket, Kata beach is the most crowded and active beach. The sand on Kata Beach is light, almost white. It is pleasant to the touch, soft and quite small. Due to the light color of the sand, in sunny weather, the ocean on Katya looks very picturesque, sky blue, just like a fairy tale.

19. Kata Noi beach

A small beach, 600 meters long, is popular place for surfers during the rainy season from May to October and the beach honeymoon during the dry season from December to March. The beach is clean and flanked by capes at both ends. Kata Noi beach is just over one kilometer long. The width of the beach depends on the season and the tides, it can be from 30 to 5 meters.

But when the sunny season comes, and on Kata Noi it is somewhere from December, the beach comes to life and becomes just a piece of paradise in Phuket. white sand, blue water, two hills with palm trees on the sides of the beach. Fabulously beautiful. 🙂 But there can be waves, it all depends on internal waters, ocean currents. We most often came to Kata Noi Beach, and noted that this beach has the most magical low tides, creating natural fonts for children (and adults love them), where you can swim and splash the little one.

  • More about the beach:

20. Nui beach

The most inaccessible and secret beach on the Island, one and a half kilometers to go to it along a completely broken road with a large height difference. This is the private territory (they say that private beaches are prohibited, but only in theory) of some Thai nouveau riche. Once upon a time there was a paid entrance to Nui, maybe this aspect will be resumed, but so far the beach looks wild and abandoned. Nui Beach is amazingly beautiful, picturesque, a little pirate, with an abandoned hotel on the shore, which gives it charm.

We will write again separate article about this beach, one road to it is already part of the romantic quest "get to Nui beach". But in general, we are satisfied with the result of these one and a half kilometers along the potholes, and even visited here a couple more times. A beach for extreme people and those who like to climb somewhere impassable (instead of a relaxing holiday). Around Nui there are secret paths to secret viewing platforms.

21. Yanui beach

The beach is easily accessible, located between Promthep Cape and a hill with windmills. This is pleasant. Nice, a little homey lagoon. On the one hand, on the other, the windmills are spinning. And in the center of the beach there is also a rocky island. Also, the landscape is decorated with snow-white yachts on the horizon. All this makes the picture picturesque and a little "wonderful" (remember Alice from Wonderland?)

There is a rocky bottom on the south side of the beach, from here a lot of snorkelers live there, as soon as the season comes and the big waves end? And on the other half of the beach there is a sandy bottom and you can swim there. The beach is tiny (about 150 meters long). There are too many people here in the high season, and for such a tiny beach, this can be written as a minus. But in the off-season it's good here, although the other side of the coin is big waves.

22. Nai Harn beach

Naiharn Beach is located almost in the very south of Phuket and is a cozy lagoon sandwiched between two large hills: Promthep Cape from the south and Kata Cape from the north side. Near the beach there is a casuarina park, NaiHarn Monastery and a lake. Naiharn is located far from the noisy highway, only a small-town, half-empty road passes nearby, so the beach is well hidden from noise. Naiharn is one of the favorite beaches for tourists living in the Rawai area.

Naiharn Beach is only half a kilometer long, but it does not seem small, it is saved by the sufficient width of the beach, which is not very dependent on the tides. On the south side of the beach there is a small shallow lake where kids love to splash around. This is where most parents and children gather, this is a kind of Naiharn children's zone.

23. Ao Sane beach

To find Ao San Beach, you need to stop by the only hotel on Naiharn Beach and drive until the end of the road. There you will see the cutest beach with a scattering of stones and a restaurant on the shore. From Ao San, if you climb on the rocks, you can contemplate Naiharn in all its glory. And we like Ao San itself for its atmosphere and natural scenery. But, as in the case of Yanuy, too many people come here during the season.

24. Beach at the Lighthouse.

The secret beach of Phuket, which is located in the south of the island, under a high slope. Very unusual and beautiful place. You can descend here from Promthep Cape. Approximately in the middle of the way to the southernmost end of the cape there is a barely noticeable path to the right, along it you can go down to the sea and see a small beach. This occupation is unsafe and requires physical training.

25. Cross beaches of Cape Promthep.

Between Promthep Cape and Rawai Beach, we found two more beaches, whether they are private or not, we could not find out. But the beaches are completely deserted and completely picturesque.

  • Google coordinates: 7.760970, 98.315671 and 7.759046, 98.312490

26. Rawai beach

Rawai Beach is a technical beach with boats and motorboats, from here you can sail to Koh Racha and Coral Island. There is also a fish market and many fish restaurants. The Rawai area is located in the very south of the island and covers two beaches - Rawai and Naiharn. At high tide, you can splash between the boats. Sometimes a rawai beach with long tail boats looks fabulous.

Rawai is loved by Phuket winterers and expats. The European imprint lies on cafes and restaurants, where, in addition to Thai cuisine, there are quite a few pizzerias, hamburgers, and saunas. A lot of housing for the long term, and expensive villas, and simple Thai houses.

  • Google coordinates: 7.798931, 98.336946

28. Laem Ka beach

Small but nice beach. A lot of natural shade in the form of palm trees, picturesque rocky placers. Well, the entrance to the beach itself passes through a palm grove - beautiful. Located on the territory military base and from the northern part there is an area closed to the passage.

30. Cape Panwa (Cap Panwa)

Cape Panwa is a pleasant place on the island, with beautiful viewing platforms, uncrowded beaches, waterfalls, an aquarium and even a real promenade. There are several beaches on Cape Panwa, the most popular is Ao Yon beach.

What are the best beaches in Phuket?

A difficult question when there are so many different areas on the island with soft sand and clean warm water. Phuket has beaches surrounded by rocky mountains. There are also long flat areas white sand where you rarely meet even one person. Of course, there are also active beaches with crowds of people from all over the world.

lucky geographical position The island has created ideal conditions for the formation of beautiful beaches on it. Steep mountains descend here to the ocean, creating bays in which delightful and very different beaches have formed. Over millions of years, coral and shells from the abundant coral reefs in the surrounding seas have been ground into fine-grained sand.

Add warm tropical climate with heavy rainfall into this equation, and as a result, Phuket has been able to create a whole series of paradise tropical beaches. How well have we humans been able to take care of these delightful corners nature is another matter. Some readers are not annoyed by crowded beaches, while others find the crowds a distraction from natural beauty. Here we focus on natural physical attributes, regardless of the number of people using each beach.

Pansy Beach - quiet, calm, peaceful

Karon's sand is so fine and soft, with a near-perfect blend of silica sand, coral and crushed shells, that it has been chosen as the venue for the Asian Beach Games, X-Sports, sand building competitions and other beach events for many years. It is also one of the few beaches in Phuket with small sand dunes in the back.

Karon Beach is exceptionally straight, perfectly visible from one end to the other. One hefty skyscraper was built before the 1989 ban on such buildings on the beaches of Phuket. Perhaps the biggest danger to Karon is the busy road that runs along the beach and sand dunes, blocking the possibility of creating beach resorts along much of it. The only resort hotels on Karon can be seen on the south of the beach and along the far northern strip, where the Centara Grand Phuket family hotel with a water park is located.

Mai Khao Beach, Phuket - for a quiet and luxurious beach holiday

Cape Panwa Beach, Peace and Tranquility in South East Phuket

One of the very first beach hotels on the island, Cape Panwa managed to choose one of the few small beaches of exceptional beauty that he was able to completely surround and thus actually own it. Although there are no truly private beaches in Thailand, beach access control provides the same effect - and great privacy for resort guests.

This is the only eastern beach in Phuket that can be called really beautiful. Being located in the far southeast corner islands, it is washed by relatively large ocean waves and deep, clear sea - and this is what creates good beaches. All the beaches higher along the east coast are surrounded by shallow, murky water with mangroves nearby, and they are narrow and poorly equipped.

Surin Beach, Phuket - The tarnished beauty of a beach comes back to life

The beach is an anomaly in Phuket. This is a beautiful beach, lying on the west coast of the island, but without any beach hotels and shopping establishments immediately behind the beach. Surin and his fans are lucky that many years ago the land behind the beach was turned into a small public golf course, the first in Phuket. Although the golf course has already disappeared, the land remains public and any commercial development is excluded.

However, Surin was seriously affected by developers. Before the military coup in Thailand in 2014, many people with the proper official connections built all sorts of restaurants and beach clubs right on the sand, many of them extended over the beach. The walls of one restaurant wedged so far into the beach that at high tide people could not go down the beach, being forced to bypass the restaurant that interfered with traffic. Surin turned into private property.

The Great Beach Cleanup in 2014 ended all commercial construction on Phuket's public beaches, and Surin restored its cleanliness as it could best be brought back by removing illegal walls and buildings.

With small capes covering it at both ends and trees providing greenery behind, Surin remains in good shape. But Surin's trump card is his picturesque view. Fine soft sand descends to the sea more steeply than on most other beaches in Phuket, quickly running into deep water. This makes Surin one of the best swimming beaches in Phuket.

Kata Noi Beach, Phuket - shelter of the huge resort of Katatani

The beach has always been second only to its larger brother, Kata Beach, which lies right behind a small headland. But although they have similar names, there is not much similarity between them, except perhaps that they are both among the famous and very beautiful beaches on the west coast of Phuket.

Kata Noi is supported by a huge, steep mountain, which surrounds it, increasing the ruggedness of the terrain. The beach does not have a coastal reef, and the bottom, covered with fine sand, descends into the water to an ever-increasing depth. The water here is always clean and warm, you will not find the best anywhere. This is one of the best beaches for swimming in Phuket and even has surfable waves during the monsoons.

There is one huge resort in Kata Noi, Katathani Resort, covering over 500m of its total length of 700m. Another beach hotel owned by the same owners, The Shore at Katathani, is located on the southern slope overlooking the beach.

Kata Noi Beach has a narrow public passage in the southern part of the resort of Catatani, through which thousands of Russian and other tourists squeeze through every day during the high season. Although there are sometimes a lot of people on the beach, the general geographical beauty and picturesqueness of this beach is preserved.

Patong, Phuket - so famous, but not for the beach, but for the nightlife

Turning on itself famous beach in Phuket, this list of the most beautiful beaches may seem debatable. Some argue that the original beauty of this classic bay beach has been destroyed by the ugliness of the urban structures that obscure it. And until the big beach cleanup in 2014, tens of thousands of umbrellas and sun loungers were an ugliness, definitely precluding the use of the word "beauty" here. But Patong has changed amazingly with the removal of all commercial activity from the sands, and much of the undeniable beauty that originally made Patong famous has been restored.

The military's cleanup of the beaches was controversial, to say the least, sparking heated debate in Thai society and the ire of hundreds of traders who lost their livelihoods. But public opinion strongly supported the move. Maybe, the best resume were the words of Mom Tri Devakul, a renowned Thai architect and owner of his own resort hotel in Phuket, Mom Tri’s Villa Royale: “Things have gone too far. The beaches have become private property. Visitors could not use the beach without paying the vendors who controlled it. Something had to be done."

Patong is unusual in that it has the largest number of hotels of any beach in Phuket - more than 250, but there are only three hotels on the beach itself. Of these three relatively small beach hotels, the 4-star Impiana Resort Patong occupies the longest and most beautiful strip of beach.

Phuket famous for its variety of beaches. There are a lot of them on the island and every tourist will find the best option for their vacation. Choosing a beach is not difficult, but before booking a hotel on the beach, you should find out what are the disadvantages and advantages of the best beaches in Phuket, where to go with children, and where for outdoor activities.

In April, the weather on the island changes, due to the monsoon winds, waves form. The heaviest occurrence of waves occurs from June to August, when swimming is restricted on some beaches. Waves sweep all the accumulated garbage onto the beach, but significantly spoil them appearance.

High season starts in December when there is an increased flow of tourists. The tides also affect the beaches. The beaches of Phuket are becoming less attractive due to the decrease in the usual level of the beach. Water exposes algae and rocks . This problem does not apply to all beaches, but only to those whose bottom is flat and shallow. Choosing a beach for relaxation should be based on the time of low tide.

(eng. Patong Beach) translates as banana forest. This place has a large influx of tourists, due to the quality of service, infrastructure and entertainment. The beach stretches along the coast for 5 kilometers.

Patong is located in the northwestern part, 20 kilometers from the airport and 10 from the urban area. This beach frompersonally suitable for youth recreation as there are shops, bars and restaurants everywhere.

The entire beach area is surrounded by tropical plants, which is ideal for walking. Patong is considered the center of tourism, because it connects all roads and can be easily reached both during the day and at night. You should choose a period of rest in Patong with extreme caution, because depending on whether you manage to get into a good period, the impression of the rest depends.

Kalim beach

The northern part of Patong is considered the most suitable for recreation. The entire Kalim beach is an improved version of Patong, however, in terms of its infrastructure, it almost does not differ from it.

Kalim gives access to all the entertainment of Patong and at the same time the beach itself gives more possibilities for a comfortable beach holiday.

Karon beach

Considered one of the best beaches in the world. This beach borders Patong and stretches for 3 km along the southern part of the coast. Karon is the most popular beach on the island and rightfully ranks second in terms of the number of tourists. The beach is located 26 km from the city, but is easily accessible by public transport. It consists of two beaches: large and small.

Karon offers less exotic activities, but for lovers of extravagant nightlife, there is a transport that departs from Karon to Patong. In general, this beach is famous for its abundance of restaurants, cafes, bars and outperforms Patong in organizing outdoor activities on the beach.

The beach is equipped with:

  • basketball courts,
  • tennis courts
  • volleyball nets.

In the period from late March to early May, there are observed high waves And strong winds. But the rest of the time there are no significant changes to the beach, the water is much clearer here than in Patong and the low tides do not affect the external attractiveness of Karon, since the bottom is deep, and in some places it goes down sharply.

Phuket differs from other resorts in its susceptibility to weather conditions. This the beach is perfect for families with children , because the water here is clear, and the sand does not warm up strongly enough. And Karon is shielded from the vibrant nightlife of Patong.

embankment area Kata beach runs along the western side and is about 30 kilometers from the airport. Kata is divided in two, where the first beach is large, and the second is distant. The beaches are separated by a cape and are 500 meters apart. The beach is located south of Patong, and Kata's turbulent life does not reach it. There are almost no bars and restaurants, and discos and adult entertainment even more so.

Around Kata are tropical jungles and hills separated by a strip sandy beach. Kata has a small length, no more than a kilometer.

This is a calm area, where there is no stormy sea and strong winds. This is the best place for a beach holiday and a relaxing pastime, and for entertainment you can go to Patong.

The best beaches of Phuket on the map

It is located on the western side, 12 kilometers from the city. The length of the coastline is 7 kilometers. This is a place of luxury and prosperity. There are only five stars luxury hotels and the cleanest beaches. The bay is particularly picturesque.

On Bang Tao Beach are held surfer competition , due to the extremely powerful wind and high waves in the center of the beach. But along the side of the promenade, there are quiet and calm beaches.

Looking for the best Phuket beaches to explore underwater worlds? suits you, it is located north of Patong, in the western part of Phuket. It's very quiet and cozy place which has only recently been discovered by tourists. The beach is located 17 kilometers from the airport and Patong can be reached in 20 minutes. Kamala is located a few kilometers from Patong, so the nightlife for vacationers in Kamala is available.

Here, relatively recently, the infrastructure and everything necessary for comfortable rest can be found without difficulty. All adult entertainment remains available only in Patong, while restaurants, clubs and discos can be visited in Kamala.

A well-developed transport connection allows you to get anywhere in Phuket. The northern part of the beach is ideal for relaxing all year round, which cannot be said about the western part, where part of the sea flows into the river and forms a channel filled with mud.

The beach is located in the south with a length of approximately 700 meters. Nevertheless, this is a very cozy and comfortable beach, surrounded on all sides by a pine forest. has a very beautiful flora and marine life, which makes it popular with divers .

In summer, the beach has a rainy season, which provokes the occurrence of high waves.

The rest of the time, Nai Harn is visited by tourists who prefer to retire with nature, since the beach can only offer a couple of restaurants from entertainment.

The beach along the promenade stretches for more than 650 meters at a distance of 17 kilometers from the airport. Surin is preferred by outdoor enthusiasts and during the tourist season this beach is densely populated. The rest of the time there are high waves that are not suitable for tourist recreation. quite independent and there is limited.

At the same time, here you can find everything for a comfortable stay:

  • restaurants,
  • the shops,
  • shopping and entertainment centers.

Not everyone can afford Surin, since the cost of hotel services and accommodation is quite high.

South of the airport, about 11 kilometers away, is the beach, which has a quiet atmosphere against the backdrop of developed infrastructure. The road to the beach is surrounded by hills on both sides and tropical forests. is a part National Wildlife Refuge in Phuket . There are few clubs and bars here, but Naithon's restaurants are especially popular.

The fact is that they serve excellent seafood dishes. It is not very crowded here, but it is beneficial for those who like to relax away from the hustle and bustle. The beach stretches along the promenade for a kilometer. The sand is clean and the water is clear . From the end of October to the beginning of April, there is the most right time for rest on Naithon.

There are very comfortable conditions for families with children. However, there are not so many hotels on the waterfront, so the cost of living is quite high and the appearance of the beach is affected by low tides.

Mai Khao is not much different in infrastructure and capabilities from Naithon. This beach is located almost near the airport and its length is more than 8 kilometers. This is also the territory National Reserve . The beach, despite its length along the promenade, is quite sparsely populated.

There is no service on the beach, just a couple of hotels in the area and a limited number of places for entertainment. It's definitely a wilderness. The beach is fraught with danger in some areas and undercurrents.

Nevertheless, this is a beautiful heavenly place to relax from the hustle and bustle. modern world, which will give solitude with nature as much as possible in principle.

The best beaches of Phuket are practically the main place for tourists to stay, because apart from shopping and excursions, they will have nothing to do but just lie under the warm rays of the sun.
