Overview of Paragon Beach

To be honest, there isn't much to see here. The beach is very tiny. The entire beach fit in the photo at the beginning of the article. 10-15 umbrellas with sun loungers, a small strip of pleasant fine sand and a fenced backwater for swimming without waves. That's the whole beach.

A beautiful view of the mountains opens from the sunbeds of Paragon beach

But people come here not for sunbeds and sand, but for a beach without waves. Often in winter and sometimes even in summer it is stormy on the central sea, the water becomes cloudy and takes out the garbage. And on Paragon at any time of the year, peace and quiet.

Most tourists come to Paragon Beach to swim with children, since it is safe to swim in the sea with a child here, there is neither depth, nor waves, nor dangerous currents.

Why are there no waves on Paragon? Firstly, due to the "artificial spit" or stone embankment, which closes the reservoir from the sea. And also here is a bay in which there are no waves, thanks to its location. The stone embankment and such a peculiar pool, apparently, were supposed to serve as a parking lot for yachts and boats of local residents. elite village. But then, apparently, it turned out that no one here especially had yachts, so they decided to make a beach.

The left side of the artificial bay. Several boats still moor here

Beach features: paid entrance, no toilet, nowhere to eat

  • Entrance to the beach costs 20 thousand VND ($1)
  • Sunbeds cost 60 thousand VND ($ 3)

The beach belongs to the hotel Paragon Hotel. If you stay at this hotel, then you do not pay for the entrance and sunbeds. If you just came on your own, you will have to pay at least the entrance. It is not necessary to take sun loungers, you can lie on your own bedding. IN high season There may not be enough sunbeds for everyone. We came here in January, there were free sunbeds.

There are no toilets and showers as of 2017. Also, there are no cafes directly near the beach. There is nowhere to eat and buy some water, you need to take something to eat with you.

This was not written about in other blogs, but on main street cottage village, on the territory of which this beach is located, there is one cafe with the original name "U Koli", a restaurant with a Russian menu. It takes about 5 minutes to walk from the beach in a straight line, it is located a little further from the Paragon hotel on the main street.

Embankment with palm trees

A little further than the beach, a concrete embankment was built, where you can take a walk or take pictures with a beautiful view of the bay and mountains. There is no embankment, there is nowhere to sit, there is not a single bench. If only to sit on the edge. Probably, they wanted to do well, but it turned out, as always.

The village of An Vien

As I said above, the beach is located on the territory of the elite village of An Vien. Elite by Vietnamese standards. Yes, the villas are cool, of course, I don’t argue, they are clean and modern. But it seemed to us that everything was somehow untidy and uncomfortable, construction was everywhere, as in Nha Trang. Entrance to the territory of the village is free, at the checkpoint the guards do not ask anything.

Paragon Beach in Nha Trang reviews, pros and cons

I don’t know why everyone praises it so much, but among ourselves we jokingly call this beach a ditch. Shallow, stagnant water, unkempt territory on the sides, abandoned construction site and stones. In our fastidious opinion, Paragon Beach is about nothing. We didn't even go swimming.

If not for the mountains and beach umbrellas, then Paragon beach resembles a river somewhere near Chelyabinsk

But you don’t take our words seriously, since this beach has one indisputable advantage - it is a beach without waves in Nha Trang at any time of the year. Therefore, it is here that you can normally swim with children, when on the other beaches of Nha Trang big waves. So, if you want to know which beach has no waves, then come to Paragon, but don't expect something special and exotic from it.

How to get to Paragon Beach from Nha Trang

You can get to Paragon Beach on your own by public transport or by taxi. A metered taxi will cost between 60-100 thousand dong.

The bus is cheaper. Just get on bus number 4 at European quarter, which goes towards Winperl (south). Ride up to final stop. The fare is 7 thousand dong, payment to the conductor. If you are asked to leave a little earlier than the final one with the words "Winpearl", then just say "Paragon Beach". When we went to the beach, they wanted to drop us one stop before the final stop near some ticket office where they sell tickets for Winperl, but we said that we were going to Paragon.

From the final stop, you need to go a little back, about 50 meters, then turn left and go through the arch and the checkpoint to the village of An Vien. The entrance to the village is free, the guards will not ask anything.

Entrance to the territory of the village of An Vien

As you passed the checkpoint with the arch, you can immediately turn left, walk to the sea, and then along the coast to the beach. Just walk from the bus for 10 minutes walking step.

So, have you already settled in Nha Trang using our tips? Then it's time to choose the best beach for your holiday.

The city is located right on the seashore, which makes local beaches almost equally accessible for vacationers with any budget: no matter what star hotel you stay in, the sea will always be nearby - no more than a 15-minute walk. In addition, all beaches are absolutely accessible for visiting - choose any one to your taste.

Nha Trang - Big city, and its 500,000 people could not help but leave their mark on the quality of the water along the coast. In the morning, as a rule, it is crystal clear, but in the afternoon it is cloudy and all sorts of garbage appears from somewhere. In addition, during the rainy season, a sick amount of silt enters the sea from the river, and the water sometimes turns brown. Even when the beach itself looks fairly clean, litter is possible if you like to swim further or snorkel.

In addition, we note right away that surfers have nothing to do here. Even during the rainy season, the water in Nha Trang Bay is blissfully calm. And even unprotected beaches outside the city in the north and south will not please you either. Worthy waves and it won't be there.

The main beach Nha Trang Beach stretches along the entire city, its length is about 7 kilometers.

He will delight you with pure white sand, blue waters, swaying palm trees and a pleasant promenade. A chic boulevard of coconut palms stretches along its entire length. Under your feet are the smallest fragments of shells, so the water there is clear and clean (most often - only in the morning). The entrance to the sea is quite gentle, without a strong slope.

Since everything actually happens within the city, it is very lively here. vendors sell kites, cotton wool, ice cream and coconuts, couples walk around, children rush by on roller skates, many locals. Public amenities include toilets and small fountains along the sidewalk to rinse off.

In the middle of the beach there is such a remarkable tower in the form of a lotus.

The beach is municipal and therefore the entrance to it is free. But for sunbeds and umbrellas you have to pay a little. There are two options here: either you just take one of the sunbeds belonging to the hotel (they will come to you as soon as you start staying there), or you go to Gorky Park. There you pay for a sunbed and you can lie by the sea, go for a swim in the pool, eat at one of the restaurants at a discount. About 40-60,000 VND is an ordinary sunbed. Seats in the VIP area with soft mattresses and pillows with towels are already more expensive. A life jacket can be rented for VND 20,000 and a snorkel mask for VND 30,000.

Where to find the cleanest sea in Nha Trang?

We have already said that the purity of the water off the coast sometimes leaves much to be desired. What to do?

Go to expensive resorts outside the city, such as Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, An Lam Ninh Van Bay, Mia Resort or Amiana. All of them have clean beaches. But these clean beaches, like these resorts themselves, are not even cheap at all.

The easiest and cheapest way out is to take a boat to the nearby islands, where the water is guaranteed to be excellent. Everything will be fine, except for the usual risks of sailing on the high seas. Every day, many boats depart from the coast, taking swimmers to exceptionally clean water.

If this option does not suit you, just head along the coast to the north or south. North would be preferable.

The best and cleanest beaches in Nha Trang are located outside the city.

If you move from the very center of the city to the north, then the people on the beach become clearly smaller, it is much quieter and calmer here than in the center, finding a free place is not a problem at all. Around - calmness, relaxation and even some kind of drowsiness. Like in this photo.

We move on. 4 kilometers north of tourist center Nha Trang, passing by the Tran Phu bridge and the Hon Chong cliff, you find yourself on a very quiet and almost deserted stretch of coast. By the way, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. you can get there on a white and blue local bus No. 4. The interval between flights is about 20 minutes, the cost of the trip is 7000 VND.

Since there are few tourists here and the beach is rarely cleaned, unfortunately, you can see some garbage brought by the sea on the shore. But this inconvenience is compensated by calmness and loneliness.

In addition, just south of the Hon Chong cliff there is an excellent seafood restaurant. And if you climb this rock, you will see an amazingly beautiful view of the coast, the city and the bay.

Of the minuses, we note that the entrance to the sea here is not gentle, the depth is large, so this place is recommended only for those who know how to swim well.

And finally, we will move even further north, but only by car.

Doc Let Beach is located 50 km north of Nha Trang. It is much calmer, cleaner and more beautiful than the city beach. Right on the shore, local fishermen will prepare seafood dishes for you at a very competitive price.

How to get here? You can take a taxi, or you can use the blue-white-yellow bus number 3, which leaves from the tourist center. It operates from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the trip takes just over an hour and costs 24,000 VND. You can stay anywhere on this beach or close to the hotel where you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds.

And now we explore the southern beaches of Nha Trang.

Bai Dai Beach (or Long Beach). Located about 30 km south of the city on the way to the airport. In general, this road itself is very beautiful, the landscapes around are simply magnificent. And the beach is neat, clean and also very beautiful. There are also several small restaurants where you can enjoy tasty and inexpensive local seafood. There is a rental of jet skis, you can ride on water skiing. The beach, as usual, is free, but you have to pay for parking a motorcycle (if you didn’t come by taxi, then there is no other option).

Bai Duong beach is 1.5 km from the city if you move along Tran Phu street. Soft sand, more warm water and it is also much calmer and cleaner here than in the city.

And last but not least - in the park Entertainment Vinpearl also has its own cozy small beach overlooking the city coast.

To visit this beach, you need to buy a ticket to the amusement park for 600,000 VND. You get to the island along the longest in the world cable car or by ferry. This beach is next to the water park. And since most visitors to the island came here for entertainment, and not for beach holiday, then it is almost always sparsely populated. You can rent a catamaran, try parasailing and kayaking.

So, the best and cleanest beaches with amazingly clear and transparent water in Nha Trang are located outside the city. You can get there by bike, but it’s better to take a taxi or a motorcycle, because riding a bike in the heat is not the most pleasant experience. many of these beaches have no security, no showers or changing rooms, and the water is deep enough. So be careful and attentive and ready to take care of yourself on a deserted beach.

In search of the best beach in Nha Trang, the choice is up to you.

Which beach in Nha Trang to choose? Which one is considered the best? Reviews of tourists, the pros and cons of beaches, ways to get there. Beach map.

Nha Trang - popular Vietnamese resort with long sandy beaches and well-developed tourism infrastructure. Let's try to find out on which beaches of Nha Trang, according to tourists, it is best to relax, and also give our assessment.

Description of the beaches:

Map of Nha Trang beaches in Russian

This is the most famous beach Nha Trang, which is a sandy strip several kilometers long. You can get to the city beach of Nha Trang from almost anywhere in the city, the main landmark is Tran Phu Street, along which public transport runs.

The sand here is coarse, yellow in color, with an admixture of shells and small pebbles, the entrance to the sea is almost everywhere deep. The beach itself is regularly cleaned and cleaned. Stretches along the beach beautiful embankment with neatly trimmed trees, playgrounds, exercise equipment and cafes.

The southern part of the beach is more comfortable than the northern part. There are sun loungers and umbrellas offered various entertainment vacationers: banana rides, jet skis, parachuting.

Zoklet Beach (Doc Let)

Zoklet is perhaps the most advertised beach in Nha Trang, many consider it the best in the resort. This is a typical bounty beach with white powdery sand, rare palm trees along the coast and turquoise water. Located at a decent distance from Nha Trang - almost 50 km from the city. To get to this beach, you need to book an excursion or rent a bike, you can also get there by bus number 3. The beach has hotels, restaurants and shops. Renting a sun lounger will cost from 100,000 dong.

pros

  1. The beach is large, its length is almost 10 km, with developed infrastructure and white sand. Sometimes there are many tourists here, but if you wish, you can find a secluded place to relax.
  2. According to the reviews of tourists, seafood is deliciously cooked on Zoklet, moreover, inexpensively.

Minuses

  1. Zoklet Beach is located at a decent distance from Nha Trang, and it will be difficult to get there without personal transport, especially if you are relaxing with children. The road to the beach will take at least 1.5 hours, so the taxi option is no longer expensive. Most cheap way- bus, the most convenient (for us, at least) - bike.
  2. Most services are paid - you will have to pay for parking and renting a sun lounger. Parking costs about 5 thousand dong.
  3. There is a toilet in the free part of the beach, which we strongly advise against entering!

Personal experience. Despite all the rave reviews, Zoklet Beach did not particularly impress us. We were on the free part and found a lot of garbage on the sand and annoying owners of coastal cafes. The paid part of the beach is being removed. The sea is too shallow, but clean. In general, the place is nice, but the second time we would not come here - too far and long. They wrote that there are salt fields along the way, but we never saw them.

Paragon beach

Tourists also refer to the best beaches in Nha Trang as Paragon Beach, which is located in south side resort, near the cable car to Winpearl Island. You can get here public transport(bus number 4) or taxi. The beach belongs to the Paragon Hotel, so the entrance fee is 20,000 dong (55 rubles). Sunbed rental - 60 thousand VND.

Paragon Beach is very popular with family vacationers. sand strip narrow, but the sand is fine and soft. Fences play their part - there are never high waves here, as on central beach Nha Trang.

pros

  1. This beach is great for kids high waves, shallow water warms up well.
  2. The beach is located in the prosperous area of Nha Trang An Vien - there are luxurious villas around, so unhurried walks at sunset will bring a lot of aesthetic pleasure to vacationers.

Minuses

  1. The beach itself is small, due to the limited area it gives the impression of being crowded. You will have to pay for the entrance and sunbeds, but there are few sunbeds and not enough for everyone.
  2. Absence tourism infrastructure: no shops, cafes and entertainment. For a bite to eat, you can dine at the Paragon Hotel's restaurant.
  3. Shallow water.

Bai Zay Beach (Bãi Dài)

Bai Zai is a semi-wild beach, located 20 km from Nha Trang, on the site of the former military base. You can get from the city by taxi or bike in 15 minutes. The beach is long, almost 15 km long, with a gentle entrance and calm clear water. Small waves rise.

pros

  1. Pleasant to the touch White sand, clear water and smooth depth. The perfect place for romantics and lovers of secluded relaxation, locals rarely drop in here, and fishermen can be seen only in the morning and evening hours.

Minuses

  1. The infrastructure is still poorly developed. Natural garbage - algae, branches and the like - no one cleans up here. Part of the coast has already been bought by well-known hotel chains, and in a few years a beautiful resort area is expected here.
  1. The growing popularity of the beach has led to it becoming polluted and crowded in places.

Personal experience. We visited a deserted part of the beach - it is very calm and peaceful there, there was not a soul around. Some luxury hotel was being built nearby.

What is the best beach in Nha Trang?

In Nha Trang, any vacationer can find a beach that suits him. It is impossible to say with certainty which of them is the best - each meets certain requirements. Those who seek entertainment tasty food And good service, choose the city beach Nha Trang Beach. Vacationers with children will prefer the peace and tranquility of Paragon Beach, while romantics and newlyweds will prefer white powdery bounty beaches Zoklet and Bai Zay.
