Dear friends, the snow is ending and many of you are probably thinking more and more about summer. And where there is summer, there is Crimea and the eye, so to speak. Therefore, I thought it was time to start the Crimean Odyssey and lay out the route of my blog through the best places in Crimea that we have been to, with photos, descriptions and secrets.

And I decided to start from my favorite place, which I have been many times, from the reserve New World. In my opinion, along with the peninsula and the reserve, this is one of the best and most beautiful coastal places in the Crimea. For you, I will reveal the secrets of the reserve and guide you along the most interesting, in my opinion, route. The article turned out to be large, I will have to break it into 2 parts.

Reserve New World is located next to the resort village, located between the city and the village of Morskoye, other coastal resorts. See on the map.

From you can see part of the reserve: Mount Karaul Oba She is Rhinoceros Mountain.

Look closely, you will see the huge body of a rhinoceros, its neck, head, ear and large horn. We will go interesting route, we will first climb onto the body of the rhinoceros, we will go along the ridge, we will go down to its neck and we will climb right up to the ear, that is where they are interesting places and the best views.

The road to the New World passes through Sudak, you need to go very early in the morning, otherwise you will not have enough time to see everything. To travel to the New World, you will need, among other things, good running shoes and plenty of water with you; as far as I know, there are no springs in the reserve.

We squeeze into a packed minibus in Sudak, which goes to the village of Novy Svet along the street. Lenin. The road to the New World is not for the faint of heart, they will have to close their eyes in some areas, the narrow serpentine over the abyss, and even with sharp elevation changes on the turns and the creak of tires, will not leave you indifferent)).

Myself Novy Svet village it was of little interest to us personally, although there is a champagne wine factory with a tour and tasting, a museum of the history of champagne wines ... in general, all the conditions to get drunk and not go anywhere else))) - this is not for us.

Mostly people come here because of the beautiful nature reserve, juniper grove, systems beautiful bays and capes, famous picturesque Galitsyn trail.

Reserve New World

You can enter the reserve along the coast and from the village from the local market, where the path goes straight to Cape Kapchik.

For visiting the Novyi Svet reserve they take - tear up - 20 UAH, I am glad that some part of these funds really goes to the reserve - benches, signs, railings leading directly to the cape appeared.

But going straight to Cape Kapchik is not at all interesting, real views open from Cape Karaul Oba.

To do this, you need to go up from the path, to the right through the railing along the fences and traverse around Cape Kapchik first, without going down, then without going down to the sea, make another zigzag and at the turn leave the marked yellow path again to the right, from the sea along Cape Karaul Oba (along the body of the rhinoceros). So the path, taking us gradually up, leads to Ridge Karaul Oba, for the most high points reserve. Gaining altitude, often look back, we have the village of Novy Svet, Sokol rock, Sudak Bay.

On Mount Karaul Oba

Your landmark is a metal pyramid - a height mark on Karaul Oba. From there, looking north:

and the amazingly beautiful landscape of the Kutlak Bay, empty in September (that's where you don’t have to fight for a place under the sun), Kabanevoy Cape, through which you can stomp to the Sea.

From a height we descend along the body-ridge of the rhinoceros closer to the sea and another beautiful view of the Novy Svet reserve opens - the Blue Bay, in which royal beach and you can see the opening of the through grotto in Cape Kapchik, Shchebetovka - cape Meganom, reviews and photos

Staircase of the Tauris in the New World

Many are looking for the stairs of the Taurus (cruel, bloodthirsty tribes - robbers who lived in cave cities Crimea) in the reserve. It is located in the ear of a rhinoceros, to get there, you need to go down to the valley, it is cut by a clear path).

Here in the photo, you can see the ear of a rhinoceros - the most high rock, and a little to the right - an opening in the rocks, overgrown with trees. It is there that the staircase is located, take a closer look, paths from the valley lead to it.

If you need to get from the New World to Kutlak Bay, then you need to take it even more to the right, bending around the head of the rhinoceros on the right, cross the main path of the valley and go down to the sea, there is an interesting descent along the roots of trees, and the cave gap is a refrigerator as a reward, from where it blows cold even on a hot summer day. There you can leave your beer to cool while you climb around the reserve and not find it later, because the guide will lead a whole crowd behind you.

In order not to please the traumatologist instead of Taurus, before descending into the valley, you must first take to the right along the ridge of the rhinoceros, back, when good trails for the descent, they will all take you down to the valley anyway. On loose pebbles, you need to be extremely careful, there is nothing to do here in flip flops.

So, we went down to the valley and head to the stairs of the Taurus, but more on that in the next article.

What do you think of the New World? As always, I appreciate your comments.

Beautiful nature. Opportunity to climb mountains, visit three sea bays(green, blue, light blue), the Novy Svet champagne factory, take a walk through the juniper groves. Just have a great time.

Beautiful place, a must to visit. Be sure to walk! No boats! The trail has now been improved - it has become safe to walk, nevertheless it is quite interesting. The beautiful Galician grotto, Cape Kapchik, the royal beach are worthy of walking to them slowly, admiring all the surrounding beauties. P.S. The ticket price could have been more reasonable. And the side paths are now closed.

The nature of the Crimea has always amazed me with its uniqueness and peculiarity. There are many such unique natural attractions on the peninsula. On their list, far from last place, there is also a reserve "New World". A very beautiful place that causes genuine interest and delight among many tourists.

Location

The reserve is located on the territory of the village of Novy Svet, 7 km from Sudak. Although it would be more correct to say that the village is part of protected area, and not vice versa. At one time, these lands belonged to Prince Golitsyn. It is here that the famous Golitsyn trail is located, carved right into the rock by order of Nicholas II himself.

N. Svet is famous not only for its botanical reserve, but also for the village of the same name. It is located directly in former home prince. The reserve itself, first of all, arouses interest in the gifts of nature, which can rarely be found anywhere else.

History, brief information

A territory of 420 hectares was taken under protection in the early twenties of the last century (1921). At that time, this place was declared a natural monument of local scale. The New World protected area was declared in 1974.

At that time, Crimea became popular tourist attraction. There is a direct threat to rare species of animals and plants. It was decided to strengthen security, conduct excursions strictly along designated routes. Today it significant place in the global system of protection, conservation and restoration natural resources peninsulas.

Today, there are more than 16 species of very rare, relic plants in the reserve. Many of them are listed in the Red Book. Some are hard to find anywhere else but the New World. Visiting the protected area is impossible without following certain rules and requirements.

Rules and restrictions

Walking through the reserve is possible only on hiking trails, accompanied by a guide. First of all, it is important both to preserve natural resources as well as for the tourists themselves. It is simply impossible to get lost with an experienced guide.

You have to pay for the entrance to the territory, and a rather large amount. But believe me, what you see is definitely worth it. In addition, you can not only enjoy the beauty surrounding nature, but also bring undoubted benefits to your body.

On the territory it is strictly forbidden to pick plants, make fires, litter, and so on. In addition, I strongly do not recommend leaving the so-called " commemorative signs tourists”, something like: “I was here” and so on. Otherwise, you risk paying a hefty fine. So, let's see what is so interesting about the "New World" for vacationers.

Amazing beauty of nature

First of all, the coastal mountains that go straight to the sea attract attention. The protected area includes the famous blue, green, and blue bays. By the way, the famous is located in the Blue Bay. According to legend, it got its name due to the visit of the ruler Nicholas II.

Moving along the Golitsyn trail, you will enjoy the bewitching view of the most beautiful grottoes. By the way, at one time the prince kept wine from his own factory in them. And according to some reports, F. Chaliapin himself loved to sing in one of the grottoes.

Naturally, plants are of the greatest interest and delight. Especially Stankevich's pine (Sudakskaya). This unique tree is able to grow and survive even on bare rocks. It is noteworthy that its needles can reach 17 (!) Centimeters in length. Here you can see specimens that are more than one hundred years old. This pine is found only here and on.

Of no less interest is the famous juniper grove. There are almost none left in the world. At the same time, the tree-like juniper “calmly” lives for more than one millennium. Some junipers reach five meters in height.

Here you can also find the pistachio pistachios. And also such unique plants like crocuses, orchids, stone-loving feather grass and tulip (two-flowered). Due to the presence of such a huge number of very rare and healing plants, the air here is healing. Therefore, a walk through the reserve will not only be as interesting as possible, pleasant for the soul, but also healing. Visiting the reserve is especially useful for people suffering from respiratory diseases.

How to get (get) to the reserve "Novy Svet"

From Sudak to the village of Novy Svet, there is a bus number 5. In the village, go to Naberezhnaya Street, 3. The office of the reserve is located there. In it, buy a ticket, get detailed instructions and guide. In principle, getting here is not difficult from any city of Crimea.

If you are traveling by car, your own or rented, I recommend that you enter the coordinates in the navigator in advance and move along them. Exact location on the map andGPS coordinates are located at the bottom of the page.
