Hi all! While fresh impressions of my vacation in the Crimea, or rather in Ordzhonikidze, I will try to present them here.

The choice of a place of rest was dictated by the need to undergo rehabilitation at sea with sandy beach and bottom (as directed by the doctor). At first, Anapa and its surrounding areas - Vityazevo and Dzhemete - were considered, but housing prices inclined me towards my beloved Crimea. Housing prices in Crimea are much lower than in Krasnodar coast, but the road to the place of rest is harder. Railway tickets were taken to Anapa, then a single ticket to the Crimea was purchased for them - a bus - a ferry - a bus to the Feodosia station. The Feodosia area is famous for its beaches ( including the famous golden beach), as well as flat terrain, which was very suitable for me for health reasons. But the more I read about the areas in which it is worth stopping for a rest (Feodosia itself, Beregovoye and Primorsky were considered), the more I met very positive and wonderful reviews about the rest in the village of Ordzhonikidze, which is located ten kilometers from Feodosia.

The decision to stay on vacation in Ordzhonikidze was also made on the basis of the bewitching nature there, a huge number of beaches ( about 15 beaches) and the presence of a sandy central beach with fine fine sand.

☼ ☼ ☼ Accommodation in Ordzhonikidze and room description ☼ ☼ ☼

The choice of housing was carried out on the Internet. I will say this, I spent a lot of time to find the conditions that satisfied me, and also corresponded to the principle "price = quality". The fact is that the village is small, before perestroika it was closed due to the placement of military factories in it, specializing in the development and testing of torpedo weapons. Therefore, as resort place Ordzhonikidze became recently. Basically, apartments are offered for housing in five-story houses or stalinkas. Private sector is, but either did not suit the conditions ( no air conditioning, but for me in July it was important), or it was far from the sea and the central beach, or the price was too high. The bulk of the options disappeared due to the fact that on the dates of interest to me in July ( holiday dates) the rooms were booked. As a result, one way or another, I had to redraw the dates of departure and arrival and choose a quite good housing option that suited me in terms of price, comfort and location (the area of Bolnichny Lane, in the direction of the garages).

In the room we had everything we needed for comfortable rest. Room for 11 meters, bathroom, shower, air conditioning, refrigerator, kettle, satellite TV, free WI-FI and all the little things you need.

The owners rented the second and third floors for vacationers. There are two rooms on each floor (each room is designed for two people). Such a lack of crowds contributes to peace and quiet. The cost of such a room in July 2016 was 1200 rubles per day. From the room to the embankment was 7 minutes of leisurely walking. The way back took a little longer - from 10 minutes due to the fact that we had to go a little uphill. In general, I am very satisfied with the housing option. The only thing is that the owners do not provide their vacationers with a shared kitchen - they have not built it yet, but they plan to implement it in the future. But believe me, to relax, and then come and cook something - not everyone is ready for this. Yes, and it's not really necessary. Our breakfast did not require a stove anyway: coffee or tea, dairy products (cheese, kefir), sandwiches or instant oatmeal from a bag (which needs to be poured with boiling water) - these are our options for a hearty snack in the morning.

☼ ☼ ☼ About Ordzhonikidze ☼ ☼ ☼

By single ticket we were supposed to come to Feodosia. Further, at the Feodosia bus station, we were already met by the owners of the accommodation (free transfer). By car, we arrived at the place of rest with a breeze in 20 minutes. Already on the way before us opened gorgeous views nature: picturesque landscapes, pine trees, breathtaking views of mountains and the sea. The road winds serpentine among the hills, opening great views foothills west coast Crimea and Provato Bay. Such beauty is breathtaking, you must see it with your own eyes!

The village itself left a double impression. As I have already indicated above, not so long ago it began to develop as a resort place. There is nothing special to see in the village, there are no sights for tourists. Panel five-story buildings, Stalinist houses, a small market, a house of culture. There is no gloss and pathos - everything is simple, as for an ordinary village. At the same time, you notice that you could ennoble the territory, the park, plant flowers in order to create a more pleasant impression of this place. But this is a matter of administration. The village is small, no matter where you live, a maximum of 30 minutes walk to the place you need.

By infrastructure. There are two pharmacies in Orjo, one on the waterfront - it works around the clock, has a limited assortment and prices are almost twice as high as we are used to. The second pharmacy in the market area (in a five-story building), is also small with a small assortment, but adequate prices for drugs, I advise it if you suddenly need it. If you need expensive medicine or rare demand, you will have to go to Feodosia.

There are no supermarkets in the village, just ordinary small shops where you can buy food and everyday goods. Resort prices. The farther the store is from the embankment, the more adequate the pricing policy. But still, it is more expensive than we buy from our stores. There is a wonderful company store of Crimean wines "Koktebel". It is located at 15 Nakhimov Street. Anyone who lives in the market area will exactly walk to the sea and the embankment past it. I advise you to definitely look there. There is a rich assortment of wines and cognacs of Massandra, Inkerman, Sun Valley, as well as other manufacturers. Prices are adequate, in stores either the same or a little more expensive. But the wines of Massandra are better to buy there. Here you can also take wine or cognac for a tasting. The price for 50 ml of wine is from 25 rubles and more (depends on the cost per bottle). This is quite enough to create an impression of the wine's bouquet and taste. Cognac prices are correspondingly higher. There is another wine store on Lenin Street, but this one, on Nakhimov Street, is in great demand.

In the village near the embankment there is a Soviet-built House of Culture. Inside - the usual village cultural life. For vacationers, it can be useful in that there is a massage room with certified specialists ( there is no massage on the beach). I went to them for a neck and collar massage (250 rubles for 15 minutes) and a thigh massage (500 rubles for 30 minutes). It is convenient that you can sign up for a specific time. Here, next to the massage room and hairdressing salon - haircuts, manicures, pedicures. The prices are also acceptable.

Stop public transport located in the market area. The interval of traffic to Feodosia is 30 minutes. The fare is 20 rubles on route 20A or 35 rubles on route 20 (old road).

The bus arrives at the Feodosia bus station (the one next to the central market), from there you can go to neighboring villages. So we went to Koktebel. Immediately at the bus station, they transferred to another bus that went to Koktebel.

There is a small church. We were going to go in, but it didn't work out. There is a stadium, a sports ground, but all this is neglected. Nothing more useful for tourists was noticed. Why do vacationers like Orjo? For the nature that surrounds it, for the bays, for the mountains ... Accordingly, if the fact is important to you developed infrastructure, gentrification of streets and territory, then this point is lame here ...

☼ ☼ ☼ Embankment: central beach and cafe ☼ ☼ ☼

The Ordzhonikidze embankment is small, it corresponds to the central beach area. Represents a collection of dots Catering- solid bistros, cafes, restaurants for different budgets and tastes. There are also street outlets for high-demand goods - beer, kvass, lemonade, chips, crackers, corn, etc.

We ate at two bistros. The first is the most extreme, on the border of Bolnichny Lane and the embankment. Here is a good pizza, pastries, pasties, delicious pancakes with fillings. As well as dishes by the type of dining room - salads, second and first courses. I recommend the bistro "Food" (in the middle of the embankment). It is very popular among vacationers for its affordable prices and a large assortment. We mostly ate there.

Lunch or dinner came out on average for 150 rubles per person, but we don’t eat much, we had enough. But once for lunch they took a side dish with goulash plus a pangasius fillet and that’s it, they just ate too much, it was even hard to go home (we decided that we won’t eat so much anymore) I advise you to try pizza there - the pasties are cooked very tasty (just huge! ).

I also heard good reviews about the Kara-Dag cafe. This cafe is located opposite the church next to the shops. We didn't go in, but I captured the price list.

For children, there is a small play area on the waterfront. If you like to wander among stalls with Crimean souvenirs, then their limited number may be disappointing. I counted six of them. There is a tent with a huge assortment of Crimean cosmetics! The prices there are the same as, for example, in Feodosia or in an online store.

There are several places where tours are offered. Prices, of course, have already grown compared to what it was in Ukraine. We have already visited many places, so we did not insist on excursions. But we bought a boat trip to the Golden Gate and the Kara-Dag volcano. The price this season is 500 rubles per person for a 2-hour walk, which is quite normal. But full-day excursions to the South Coast or others interesting routes- from 1700 rubles, not counting the fact that you need to take money with you.

In general, the embankment did not impress me. There is no beauty. Here is a beautiful view of the sea and mountains, yes, you can’t argue. We went to Koktebel for a day - the embankment there is impressive. Here, the priority is placed on nature, mountains... Therefore, consider what you need more, what you want more.

Central Beach Ordzhonikidze sandy. Convenient entry into the sea, not deep. There are several awnings on the beach, but you need to take a place under them (if you don’t take a sun lounger, of course) early in the morning. If you take a sun lounger, then the price is as follows: 200 rubles for half a day, 250 rubles for the whole day. It is proposed to book a sun lounger with an umbrella for a few days or the entire vacation, then there will be a system of discounts. You will always know that your deck chair will be waiting for you and no one will take it.

As in many resort towns, on the central beach of Orjo you can ride a banana, a cheesecake (tablet), a jet ski, as well as fly on a parachute behind a boat (price 2000 rubles per person, 3000 rubles if two). At the end of the embankment there is a pier with boats, depart from there sea excursions, there is also a scuba diving service with an instructor.

Minus the central beach: very crowded, many children. The water near the shore is muddy due to the crowds, you need to sail further. If you like peace and quiet, it is better to go to other beaches, through the hills along the trails. But after the surgical treatment, it was difficult for me to climb the stairs, let alone walk along the mountain paths, so there were no options - only the central beach.

☼ ☼ ☼ Nature, sea, mountains ☼ ☼ ☼

In order to enjoy the nature and purity of the sea, you need to go along the mountain paths. Behind the pier boat station there is a passage to wild beach at the foot of Mount Vasyukovka. It is rocky, not very comfortable for rest.

Many go further, to the Agate Beach, but it was no longer available to me. Already a couple of days before departure, we were told to go to sandy beach in the ST Volna area (whoever stops at Morskaya will also be close). Good relaxing holiday there is provided, very shallow, as in the bay. But still a long way to go. In addition, there are sewage treatment plants nearby, where hatches have been removed and it smells very much like sewage, believe me. In order not to inhale these odors, you can go further along coastline towards Katran boathouses or along the mountain, but there are already rocky beaches.

If you go towards Koktebel, then according to vacationers there are also good quiet beaches. But the way there is not close and along steep slopes and paths. We didn’t dare to go through with sore legs and problems in orthopedics, any careless movement could lead to serious problems, so I can’t tell you what is behind the capes. But steep ascents, even towards Dvuyakornaya Bay, even to Vasyukovka, were breathtaking, one can only envy those who, for health reasons, can afford to walk there.

☼ ☼ ☼ Summing up ☼ ☼ ☼

Overall, not bad. It is immediately clear that Ordzhonikidze is positioned as a place for families with children - there are a lot of families with small children, for whom the central beach is very convenient. But in order for the rest to be calm and peaceful, you need to go to other beaches, overcoming a long way along steep paths. If this is difficult for you (like me, for example), then you will have to be content with a crowded central beach, or visit the beach in the area of Morskaya Street (ST Volna or boathouses Katran). I also wrote about the infrastructure, it is not very developed here. Of the entertainment, only the embankment (small, you can’t clear up), which is more of a catering point. Therefore, an active cheerful evening life is not observed here. For entertainment, you need to go to other villages.

P.S. if you decide that you need a local SIM card (MTS Krasnodar Territory), then I’ll say right away that it’s problematic to buy it in Orjo. We were told that we should only go to Feodosia, they don’t sell here. In the end, I just changed the tariff and called at a favorable rate.

Ordzhonikidze is a small village in the Crimea, characterized by a calm and peaceful atmosphere and low prices for accommodation. Tourism here began to develop relatively recently, but now many travelers have appreciated the cleanest sea and the level of comfort that is growing year by year. In terms of ecology, this place is impeccable - there are no enterprises and factories here, which makes the air crystal clear and healthy. For travelers choosing Crimea, a vacation in Ordzhonikidze is a great opportunity to get real pleasure from a vacation!
