Some of the sculptures are located along the pedestrian path - it is called Illuminade. You can where the sculptures are located - and go on your own evening walk across Amsterdam.

Especially beautiful views the sculptures are opened from the canals - here is the second part of the exposition, water colors. Throughout the festival, a 75-minute Water Colors cruise will cruise the city every evening. Boats leave literally every 20 minutes, from 17.00 to 21.30. This is the cruise I went on yesterday. Impressions - the sea! Of course, no photographs can convey them (especially because it is dark and the boat is glazed). But at the bottom I'll add a couple of professional shots to show the general atmosphere.

The boat can be covered and open. I'm not a walrus after all, so I decided to choose the first option :) It was so warm in the boat that it was even more comfortable to take off your outerwear.

And here is the first light sculpture on the route - ta-da-dam - the work of Russian Tatyana Titova!

One hundred And t it is, perhaps, in the most prominent place in Amsterdam - right in front of the Amsterdam Centraal station. Here, as they say, know ours! :)

Well, in fairness, it's worth saying that the work of other authors is also beautiful. Here, for example, is how it is transformed, on the image of which the Dutchman Reier Pos worked. By the way, the official countdown in new year's eve 2016/2017 will be held here.

During the Water Colors cruise, it is interesting not only to look at the sculptures themselves, but also to look into the open windows of houses (well, it’s curious, you must agree!). Curtains here, as you probably already know, are not particularly abused. Therefore, as soon as the lights come on, you can see how life flows outside the walls of the houses: there is still a business meeting in the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, and in the mansions on the canals (yes, just to see their interiors, it’s already worth taking this cruise !) watch TV or their inhabitants have dinner.
