Consular fee to Greece. Visa fees. Deadline for obtaining a permit

Summer, suffering, we continue the topic of visas. I wrote about earlier. The trend of this year's season is. What documents are needed to obtain a visa? What is required for minor child traveling with one of the parents? What is the list of documents for applying for a Schengen visa to Greece for an unemployed person? How to fill out the questionnaire correctly?

Why, in my opinion, is it not worth doing a visa through travel agencies and tour operators? There are two reasons:
- it will be a little, but more expensive.
You will almost certainly get a visa for the dates. I don’t know why - either the employees are too lazy to bother and ask for a multivisa, or out of “malicious” intent - it is beneficial for them to make you visas for money every time.

What papers will you need in different cases? I will tell you about three situations for obtaining a visa for tourism purposes:
1. An adult self-employed person who pays his own expenses
2. Adult non-working person whose trip is paid for by a sponsor
3. minor child traveling with only one parent whose travel sponsor pays
Below is detailed information for each case.

Visa for an adult working person

List of documents with comments:

1. 2 color photos 35x45 mm without a corner, the size of the face in the photo should be 30 mm in length. It is done in a photo studio (it must be said that photos are required for a visa, Greek Schengen) or directly in the building of the visa center. The cost of 6 photos will be 200 rubles.
Full photo requirements can be found (section "Preparing an application -> photo requirements") and. You don't need to glue anything anywhere, you don't even need to cut anything.

Blank is available. The requirements indicate that you need to print on both sides of the paper, that is, you should get two sheets with text on both sides. In practice, the center's employees themselves print questionnaires on four sheets and also calmly accept such ones. The site has a good example of filling out a multivisa application form, which is quite easy to navigate. The questionnaire will be discussed in more detail below. The only thing I recommend is to enter the date of submission of the questionnaire, already giving the documents to the employee: if suddenly your documents are not accepted on that day (for example, you forgot something), then you will have to rewrite everything.

3. A foreign passport valid for at least three months after the expected date of (last) departure from the Schengen area, with at least two blank pages and issued within the last ten years.

4. Photocopies of foreign passport spreads with MARKS, 2 or 4 spreads per A4 sheet. You also need copies of Schengen visas for the last three years from the old passport - if you have any.

6. Photocopies of all pages with marks of the internal passport, 2 or 4 spreads per A4 sheet.

7. Medical insurance traveler for the entire period of the intended trip, valid in all Schengen countries and covering any costs that may arise in connection with the return to their homeland for medical reasons, the need for urgent medical care, urgent hospital treatment or death during the trip. The minimum sum insured is €30.000. Always take out insurance for any trip abroad! In my opinion, this is not something that can be squandered with impunity (). If you need simpler and cheaper insurance, you can choose it, for example, on Cherehap:

For those who are responsible for their health, I recommend travel insurance from Tripinsurance ():

Even if you bought a tour package from an operator with included insurance, which, alas, you cannot refuse, do not be too lazy to get acquainted with its conditions: they are often extremely far from ideal. In this case, I recommend that you purchase insurance on your own, not for a visa, but for yourself. If you bought the policy "live" and do not print it from the site, then you need to make a photocopy of it (if the policy lists several insured persons, make a copy for each).

8. Proof of residence (e.g. an invitation/confirmation of sponsorship from the inviting person, if the guest intends to stay with him) a document from the accommodation provider or any other relevant document indicating that the accommodation is provided, in accordance with the laws of the Schengen Member State ); if not applicable, an appropriate written description of the planned trip. Simply put, hotel reservations. Easily issued on or any other similar resource that provides official booking confirmation. Personally, I often use the rental service from Airbnb hosts (you can find it at). When buying a tour at your request, the tour operator will provide you with a booking confirmation.

9. Photocopy / printout of tickets in both directions. To search and buy tickets, I mainly use the aviasales service. If you have a tour package, tickets will be provided to you upon request by your tour operator.

10. Certificate of employment on company letterhead, stamped and signed by the person in charge. They get it in their accounting department. The certificate should indicate the position and salary - it is very desirable that it be above 20 thousand rubles. The certificate is valid for one month from the date of issue.

11. Financial guarantees. They are needed only if you do not have a certificate of employment, or if you would not like to show it (for example, you have a low salary). Possible options:
- an extract from the bank on the state of the account on a letterhead with a seal;
— certificate of purchase of currency;
- for individual entrepreneurs: a copy of the certificate of registration of individual entrepreneurs / on tax registration, tax return for the last period.
Documents are valid for one month from the date of issue. Financial guarantees must be in the amount of 50 euros per person, for each day of the trip. When buying a tour where accommodation has already been paid, the amount may be less, but it was not possible to find out exactly how much.

12. Consent to the processing of personal data. Issued and filled in when submitting documents at the visa center.

13. Visa fee 35 euros (2485 rubles) + service fee of the visa center for services 1420 rubles = approximately 3905 rubles. Keep in mind, payment for the Greek Schengen is accepted only in cash. Persons with disabilities of groups 1 and 2, children under 12 years of age and some other citizens are exempted from paying a visa fee (full list at the link).

Total visa cost per adult:
- visa processing 5005-6105 rubles (3905 fees, 900-2000 insurance, 200 photos, printing / photocopying costs - optional)

Visa for adult unemployed

…whose trip is paid for by the sponsor, in this case the spouse. A sponsor can only be a close relative - a spouse, parent, guardian, adult child. Otherwise, it is easier to apply for a Schengen visa to Greece by agreeing with the sponsor and bringing, as it were, your own financial guarantees, the same bank statement. I will describe in detail only the points not considered earlier:

1. 2 color photos.

2. Completed visa application form.

3. Foreign passport.

4. Photocopies of all pages with marks of the foreign passport + copies of Schengen visas for the last three years from the old passport.

5. Russian internal passport.

6. Photocopies of all pages with marks of the internal passport.

7. Medical insurance.

8. Confirmation of accommodation - hotel reservation.

9. Photocopy / printout of tickets in both directions.

10. Sponsorship letter in printed form with the date and signature. The sample can be downloaded. Validity month.

11. Certificate from the sponsor's place of work (similar to a personal certificate). The sponsor's salary must be at least 20 thousand rubles for each sponsor. They say that even 15 is enough, but it's better not to risk it.

12. Copy and original of the document confirming the relationship with the sponsor. For example, marriage certificate, birth certificate.

14. Consent to the processing of personal data.

15. Visa fees.

Visa for a minor child

Let's analyze the most "difficult" case - the child leaves with only one of the parents, his trip is paid by the sponsor:

1. 2 color photos.

2. Completed visa application form.

3. Foreign passport. Instead, the child may be entered in the passport of the parent with whom he travels.

4. Photocopies of all pages of the international passport + copies of Schengen visas for the last three years from the old passport are needed only if the child has a separate passport.

5. Birth certificate + its photocopy.

6. Medical insurance.

7. Confirmation of accommodation - hotel reservation.

8. Photocopy / printout of tickets in both directions.

9. Sponsorship letter in printed form with the date and signature.

10. Certificate from the sponsor's place of work. If there are several sponsors at a time, then the original + copies according to the number of people.

12. Copy and original of the document confirming the relationship with the sponsor. In this case, a separate document was not required.

13. Copy of the first page Russian passport sponsor.

14. Notarized permission to take the child out of the parent staying at home + its photocopy. Now its value is Nizhny Novgorod about 1500 rubles. A very important point - when requesting a multivisa for a child, permission must be issued for the entire expected duration of the Schengen! That is, if you want a visa for three years, make a permit for all Schengen countries from the date of the first departure to the date + 3 years (for example, from August 1, 2016 to August 1, 2019). Permission is not needed if you are the only parent of the child (a dash in the birth certificate or a certificate from the registry office otherwise).

15. Copy of the first page of the second parent's Russian passport.

16. Certificate from the school / university - for schoolchildren and students. During the holidays, especially summer, is optional.

17. Consent to the processing of personal data.

18. Visa fees. Everything is complicated here.
– a child under 6 years old, own passport / inscribed in the parent’s passport, applying for a visa together with the parent: free of charge.
– a child under 6 years old, own passport / inscribed in the parent’s passport, applying for a visa separately: a service fee of 1420 rubles.
– a child under 12 years old, entered in the parent’s passport, applying for a visa together with the parent: free of charge.
- a child under 12 years old, his own passport, applying for a visa together with a parent: a service fee of 1420 rubles.
– a child under 12 years old, own passport / entered in the parent’s passport, applying for a visa separately: a service fee of 1420 rubles.
- a child under 18 years old, own passport / entered in the parent's passport: visa fee 35 euros (2485 rubles) + service fee 1420 rubles.

Since we were applying for visas for two children, here is the cost for two different cases:
– child under 12 years old: visa processing 1100-5120 rubles (0-1420 service fee, 0-1500 notarized permission, 900-2000 insurance, 200 photos, printing / photocopying costs - optional)
– child under 6 years old: visa processing 1100-3700 rubles (0-1500 notarized permission, 900-2000 insurance, 200 photos, printing / photocopying costs – optional).

Filling out the questionnaire

A completed application form must be attached to the application. It is most convenient to do this in advance at home by downloading and printing the application form itself and a sample for filling it out from the official website of the Greek Visa Application Center. It is quite possible to orient yourself according to the model, however, I will go through all the points of the questionnaire that require filling, and I will give my comments on each. I remind you that a standard trip is being considered: the goal is tourism, without relatives in the European Union. 26. Schengen visas for the last three years. Scroll through your passport and write out all your Schengen visas in chronological order, more precisely the timing their activities indicated on the visa itself, which you have received in the last three years and check the “Yes” box. If there are none, mark "No" and that's it.

27. If you have not been fingerprinted before for a Schengen visa, check “No”. Otherwise "Yes" and the date if you remember

29. Write the date of entry into the Schengen area in the format day.month.year

30. Date of departure from the Schengen area in the format day.month.year. When requesting a multivisa, indicate here the desired expiration date of the visa. For example, for a visa for three years starting from August 1, 2016, write: 08/01/2019

- "all expenses during the stay are paid"
- "place of residence is provided"

Congratulations - you've completed the survey!

A Schengen visa to Greece is issued on its own in general easily and simply. Collect complete packages of documents, come to Visa Center. If anything, photos and photocopies can be made directly on the spot. You will be given a ticket at the entrance. electronic queue and asked to turn off the phone. With this coupon, you first draw up documents with an employee - you will need to fill out consent to the processing of personal data and a couple of additional papers. Then with the same coupon you pay the fees at the box office. For those who have not submitted biometric data before: after payment, with the same coupon, go to a special booth to be photographed and fingerprinted. All quest completed. Children at this time can spend their leisure time at a special table with toys.

The very process of obtaining a visa to Greece is very fast: we submitted the documents on Friday, and the next Friday they returned back to the center. You can track the movement of passports on the website of the visa center at special number which will be given to you upon payment. Bring your passport and birth certificate to pick up.

From our experience. The Greeks were generous and, as promised, gave three-year visas to adults (there were long Spanish Schengen and Greek dates) and even a baby (without Schengen, of course). But the older child received a visa for the dates, because we had an incorrectly issued export permit from the second parent (who would have known or suggested in advance? ..). In general, be careful. I hope this article will be useful to you, save you from mistakes, and each applicant’s passport will be decorated with fresh schengen visa to greece"made" by hand. :O)

I wish you success in obtaining visas!

With a Schengen visa, all of Europe is open to you: read what is worth seeing on your own at,

The territory of Greece is part of the Schengen zone, so you need an ordinary Schengen visa to visit it. But where without difficulties? What subtleties should be taken into account so that the coveted visa to Greece appears in the passport, we read further.

In a nutshell, for a visa to Greece you need all the same documents as for any other Schengen country, namely:

  • General passport, as well as a valid and previous (if recently changed) passport;
  • visa application form;
  • Photo according to ICAO standards - it can be taken when applying directly at the visa center;
  • Travel insurance for the duration of the trip;
  • Documents confirming the intention to travel (hotel reservation, paid air tickets). If planned difficult route, That be sure to attach a free itinerary plan(indicating dates, places of residence, means of transportation) and all relevant tickets for all modes of transport for movement within the Schengen area;
  • Certificate of employment and bank statement for the previous three months.

For a detailed list of documents for a visa to Greece for different categories of travelers, see. Nothing specific (such as a copy of the certificate of ownership) is required.

Do I need to pay for the hotel before applying for a visa to Greece?

On the old threads of forums about Greek visas, you can often read horror stories that the Greek consulate requires you to pay at least 30% of the cost of living, otherwise a visa to Greece will not be issued.

Difficulties arose when the hotel, even at the request of the tourist, could not withdraw money from the card - after all, when booking, it was agreed that payment would be in cash upon arrival. Then the way out was a bank transfer and the provision of payment documents to the consulate.

Today, tourists should not worry about this issue, because the official requirement to pay a share of the cost of living has been abolished back in 2016. Therefore, the tourist needs to focus on the updated list of documents (indicated by the link above), where the consulate simply needs to confirm the reservation (even with the possibility of free cancellation).

However, there is still an unpleasant pitfall - the consulate has the right to require additional documents, including the notorious proof of payment. This is not always done, and more often in cases where there is reason to doubt the intentions of the tourist - a small amount in the bank account, no work, bad visa history, etc.

Also, one of the reasons why the embassy continues to selectively require prepayment of the hotel is the intention to stop dishonesty on the part of tourists. For some unknown reason, there is a stereotype that the Greek consulate is the most generous for multiple visas (which is not true and we will write about it a little later), so many Russians apply for a visa to Greece without going there themselves. The temptation is great - a visa is issued immediately for a period of 3 to 5 years.

Visa Application Centers can also (but do not always do this) recommend paying for the hotel in advance in order to avoid the hassle of bringing additional documents later, but since this requirement is no longer in the official list of documents, the tourist can ignore this recommendation of the visa application center if he is confident in his package documents.

But the most demanding consulate is in Novorossiysk: in the season (!) they ask you to provide confirmation of a 50% prepayment for the hotel - an exception is made for this particular consulate.

As you can see, there are some nuances, so call the visa center or consulate where you are going to apply before the trip and clarify this information in advance.

Where to apply for a visa to Greece

A visa to Greece without the mediation of a visa center is issued only in Moscow - in St. Petersburg and Novorossiysk, the Greek consulates transferred the functions of collecting biometric data and the questionnaires themselves to VFS Global visa centers.

To the Greek Consulate in Moscow

The procedure is standard - residents of the capital need to sign up for an application online at this link. Reception hours for citizens are very narrow - on weekdays from 10:30 to 13:00. Passports are issued from 15:00 to 16:00, also on weekdays.

Through the visa center

Both in Moscow and in any other city where VFS Global Visa Application Centers are present, an application can also be submitted through them. As practice shows, the procedure for applying at the visa center takes less time (no need to make an appointment, the queues are usually small), but the waiting time for a visa itself is extended by several more days.

All detailed information regarding the addresses and opening hours of each specific visa application center in different cities Can .

But do not forget that a service fee of 28 € is added to the cost of the visa, but the center staff will double-check your documents again, help you fill out the application form, etc.

Visa to Greece - general information on issuance

  • The validity of a visa is on average + 10-15 days to the duration of the trip. There is no guarantee that you will immediately be issued a visa for several years;
  • When to submit documents - it is allowed to submit documents already 3 months before the start of the trip. It is better not to postpone this matter, so that there is time to deliver documents or resolve any other issues on extradition;
  • The term for consideration of the application and obtaining a visa - at the consulate - from 2 days, but when applying through the visa center, add another 5-7 days to this period;
  • The validity of the passport is at least 3 months from the end date of the planned trip. Otherwise, renew your passport and attach the old one to your visa application.

Greece is one of the countries that have signed the Schengen Agreement, which is why a Schengen visa is required to cross its territorial border. By the way, with its use you can visit any state that is part of the Schengen, unless its legislation provides otherwise.

Required documents

To obtain a visa, you will need to fill out an application form and collect the necessary documents. Their list includes:

  1. Copies of the first page of the foreign passport and copies of the pages on which Schengen visas are located (if any).
  2. Original passport with two blank pages (required for stamping new visa). It is important that additionally after the trip, the validity of the document is more than three months.
  3. Copies of old foreign passports, if any.
  4. What documents are still required to obtain a permit? These include a copy of the internal passport.
  5. Documentation confirming the hotel reservation. The following information must be indicated in the reservation - the client's initials, time of stay, payment receipts, contact numbers, etc.
  6. If the trip is carried out by invitation, then it is necessary to present the original of its text, certified by the Greek police. It contains the following information: data about the citizen who invites to him, his salary, place of work, etc.
  7. The documents that are needed to visit Greece include an insurance policy. His minimum amount is 30.000 euros. When choosing a company in which insurance will be carried out, it is recommended to give preference to Greek companies so that payments are made immediately on the territory of the state.
  8. For employed applicants, a certificate of employment is required. To do this, you need to contact the accounting department at the place of work - the document is drawn up on letterhead, confirmation is the seal of the organization and its details. The certificate must indicate the contact number, by calling which the consular employee will be able to confirm the information.
  9. Non-working applicants must present a letter of sponsorship - for visiting Greece in 2017, it can only be issued by relatives. To do this, it is required to present documentation confirming family ties - birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc.
  10. For citizens engaged in private entrepreneurial activities, you will need to provide papers indicating state registration, a copy of the declaration drawn up in accordance with the requirements of the law, and other documents on earnings.
  11. Students are required to provide a photocopy of their student card and a certificate issued by the dean's office of the educational institution on the provision of academic leave for the duration of the trip. If the student travels without parents, then you need to attach a certificate from the place of work of one of them, as well as a document confirming family ties.
  12. If a spouse who does not have a job goes on a trip, then he must attach a photocopy of the marriage certificate, a certificate of income from the husband's (wife's) place of work.
  13. Pensioners receiving a Greek Schengen visa in 2017 are required to present the following documents: a photocopy of a pension certificate, a sponsorship letter from a relative, a copy of a savings book. Money in a savings account can be presented in domestic and foreign currencies - this criterion does not matter.

Documents for obtaining permission for children

When making Greek visa In 2017, for children, the following documents must be presented:

  • If a child goes on a trip with one parent, then it is necessary to provide a photocopy of the birth certificate, two photographs (the age of the applicant does not matter), a power of attorney from the second parent (copy and original). The power of attorney must indicate that the parent gives permission to the child to leave Russia with the other parent. In fact, this document gives one parent the rights of two.

Submitted to the power of attorney specific requirements, without which it will not be valid:

  1. Completion in accordance with applicable law.
  2. No annotations or corrections.
  3. Formally certain form filling out the document.
  4. Notarization.
  5. Mandatory signature of the other parent.
  • If a child goes on a trip without parents, then it is required to provide a copy of the birth certificate, powers of attorney from two parents, photocopies of their internal passports along with a certificate of employment. The last certificate can be issued only by one of the spouses.

In the power of attorney drawn up by two parents, it is required to indicate the accompanying person and information about him - place of residence, data from the passport, travel time. The document requires the passport details of the child's parents, the purpose of travel - most often tourism or education, and the place of destination - Greece.

If, for specific reasons, a power of attorney from the second parent cannot be provided, then this must be confirmed by the relevant documents. These include a death certificate, a certificate from a single mother, etc.

Attention! If a child under the age of majority has different surnames with his parents, then he must present photocopies of documentation confirming family relations - a certificate of birth, marriage, death, etc.

From the moment children reach the age of six, their picture is pasted into international passport parents. As soon as they turn fourteen years old, they have the right to apply for a separate foreign passport.

What should be taken into account when submitting documentation?

The documents required for 2017 must be collected in full, otherwise the document will be refused. In what cases will the permit also not be issued?:

The information provided in the documents is incorrect. If the applicant submits deliberately false data, then the issuance of a permit for him is prohibited forever, and this applies not only to Greece, but also to other countries that have signed the Schengen Agreement;

If the information provided in the documents is incomplete, then the issuance of a permit is also denied. To correct this problem, you will need to present the missing papers, then the application will be considered again. A year is allotted to convey the rest of the documents, after which the application and all previously submitted documentation is invalid and is not issued back. When re-submitting, it becomes necessary to re-pay the consular fee.

Submission of documents

To obtain a visa to Greece in 2017, it is important not only to collect the documents in full, but also to submit them correctly. They are submitted at the Greece Visa Application Center in weekdays, while a live queue operates.

To submit documentation, the applicant can personally visit the visa center, use the help of close relatives (in such situations, you will need to present the relevant documents - birth certificate, marriage certificate). Another way is the services of a third party, but only if there is an appropriate power of attorney, which will be pre-certified by a notary.

If you plan to apply to the consulate, then its employees must be contacted in advance. This is necessary in order to determine the time of submission of documentation. Greece visa centers are located in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Samara, Perm and other Russian cities. The specific addresses of the centers to which papers can be submitted are located on the official website of the Greek Consulate.

List required documents to visit Greece in 2017 includes the main and supplementary list. With the correct collection of each of them, a visa will not be denied.
