Its classic scenic appearance is admirable. 25 meters wide and 60 meters free fall - Skogafoss is always surrounded by a halo of spray and mist, so on a sunny day a beautiful rainbow forms near it.

A visit to the waterfall is a must-see for anyone traveling along the south coast of Iceland. Pamukkale

The dazzling white terraces (travertine formations) appeared on the mountainside as a result of the deposition of salts from calcium-rich springs. These places have been used as a resort area since ancient times.

Keukenhof

Keukenhof (Dutch Keukenhof - kitchen park) is a world famous royal flower park in the Netherlands. Also known as the Garden of Europe. Located almost on the very coast between Amsterdam and The Hague in the small town of Lisse (Dutch Lisse), upon approaching which you can see signs for the route to Keukenhof everywhere. Keukenhof Garden, located on 32 hectares of land, is famous throughout Holland for its flowers and large tulip meadows. There are 4.5 million tulips of 100 different varieties planted in the park. Powell Reservoir

Reservoir Powell (eng. Lake Powell - Lake Powell) is an artificial pool on the Colorado River, located on the territory of American states Utah and Arizona. The second largest reservoir in the United States after Mead Reservoir, it contains 30 km³ of water at high water.

Powell Reservoir was created in 1956 by resolution of the US Congress. In the valley of the Colorado River, in the Glen Canyon, they began to build the Glen Canyon dam with a height of 178 m. The resulting pool was named after the explorer John Wesley Powell, a one-armed American veteran Civil War, who explored the river in three wooden boats in 1869.

In 1972, the lake and surrounding areas became part of national zone recreation "Glen Canyon".

Monastery of Escorial

El Escorial Monastery is a monastery, palace and residence of King Philip II of Spain. Located an hour's drive from Madrid at the foot of the Sierra de Guadarrama mountains. The Habsburgs are therefore considered the greatest patrons of the arts of their time. The artists of the Flemish school and Titian, the court artist of Charles V, are especially fully represented.

Isle of Skye

The Isle of Skye is the largest of the western islands of Scotland and probably the most famous. Skye has 9,232 inhabitants (2001) and is the 4th most populous island in Scotland. Largest locality- Portree town. Skye is one of the few areas where Scots Gaelic is the mother tongue of a large proportion of the population, although its importance is declining. If in the 1900-1910s Gaelic was native to more than 75% of the population, in 1971 - to about half of the population, then in 2001 to 31%.

Area - 1660 km², mountainous terrain, highest point- 993 m above sea level. The climate is humid, maritime, with frequent precipitation at any time of the year. The island is separated from British Scotland by a narrow strait and connected by the Sky Bridge.
