What the most creative and unusual rides in the world look like. The most expensive and unusual entertainment in the world

Autumn is a great time to try new things and rock to the fullest. If you are missing thrill and I want to add some bright colors to the weather and mood, then especially for you, the channel Music of the First has collected the most unusual, interesting and scary rides from all over the world. What comes first - the "devil's throat" or a walk along the ledge?

1) Devil's Throat (South America)

You can, of course, watch the terribly fast current with observation deck, but it's not that interesting. Especially for a Russian person! Therefore, we sit on a boat and start high-speed slides very close to the "Devil's Throat". Above (60 and 82 meters), below, on the sides - water is everywhere! One of the most extreme rides in the world.

2) Ferris wheel (Nepal)

Remember our good old ferris wheel at VDNKh? It spins slowly, spins ... And here it seems to be the same scheme, but the speed is many times stronger. Imagine: an elderly (and young - not the point) couple buys tickets, sits on a wheel in anticipation of philosophical conversations, and then it starts to unwind like crazy! Extreme? Not that word!

3) Corniche Walk (New Zealand)

192 meters above the ground. The cornice is not more than a meter wide. No railings, no fences. Only a rope holds you. Very strong and safe. For sure. The cost of this pleasure is $ 145, and those who want to walk along this very cornice, everything stays and stays. They say no one was hurt. Shall we try?

4) Free flight (Switzerland)

"Oh, why don't people fly like birds?.." How they fly! Please, here is an attraction in Switzerland called Sternensauser. This cable car 75 meters high above the ground. And no protection - a helmet and a rope. Flight speed: 70-90 km per hour. The cost of the trip is $78. And those who wish - a dime a dozen, fly the road. Extreme cooler than a paraglider.

5) Jump into the abyss (Africa)

This is not just ropejumping from a height of 15 to 50 meters. The height of this "bridge" is 216 meters. Drop down to health. Since 1990, people have been flying and flying - no one has been hurt. You fly for only seven seconds. By the last moment of the flight, by the way, you are moving at a speed of 220 meters per second. In general, these will be unforgettable moments in life ... Unforgettable!

6) "Giant Canyon"

It's just a swing. giant swing. At an altitude of 400 meters. Above the abyss Do you want to ride? Great! But please, sign a document about the absence of claims in case of injuries, falls and death. So... Just in case. And ride for health. These swings will definitely be remembered for a long time!

7) "Leap of Faith"

For those who at least once dreamed of feeling like the hero of the movie "Jaws". You fly from a huge building that is somewhat reminiscent of an ancient Greek Temple and find yourself in a narrow plastic pipe, side by side with giant sharks. Entertainment is not for the faint of heart, but many go to Bahamas for such a swim.

8) Carousel "Insanity" ("Madness")

The tallest carousel in the world. You are simply spinning three hundred meters above the abyss at a fairly high speed. Oh, by the way, the seats are open. And you are not protected by anything other than magnetic belts. It's definitely an indescribable feeling. Do you want to check?

9) WhiteCyclone, Japan

That's it! - and you find yourself in some crazy mountain whirlwind. The real cyclone. The height is a 14-storey building, and the length of the attraction is 1.7 km. Oh yes, and the speed is more than 100 km. at one o'clock. Here they are - crazy Japanese rollercoasters!

10) Zone free fall(Ohio, Paramount)

100 meters high (and this is approximately a 24-storey building). 10 seconds you weigh in the air, and then fall down with lightning speed at a speed of 100 km. at one o'clock. One of the largest free fall towers in the world. The moments on it, believe me, are remembered for a long time.

11) FormulaRossain Abu Dhabi.

Yes, it's still the same roller coaster, but in the form of a Ferrari. The acceleration of the attraction is perhaps the highest in the world - 240 km. per hour. You literally break through strong wind and rush past the beauties of the park in which the attraction is located. 1.5 minutes that will be remembered for a long time.

As is often the case, looking for one, I stumble upon something completely different. And as it sometimes happens, this most other thing often turns out to be much more interesting than what was sought. So it is this time. And I can't even remember what I was looking for... :))

original post from BabaKlava with some photos and informative additions from me (AG).
(note: the post is from 2008 and apparently some of the parks are either already or not open yet. AG)

As Mr. Slary, the owner of the traveling circus from Charles Dickens' novel Hard Times, used to say: “People need entertainment. They cannot work without a break, they cannot study the sciences without rest. It is this task - to entertain people so that they study and work better - that theme parks solve. Ten of the most unusual of them.

1. The Ocean Dome

In Shigaya (Japan's Kyushu Island, Miyazaki Prefecture) is the largest water park in the world, listed in the Guinness Book, called "Ocean Dome" (Ocean Dome), accommodating up to 10,000 people. Its length is 300 meters, width - 100 meters.

The number of visitors to this park, which is part of the Sheraton Seagaya Spa Resort, peaked in 1995 at 1.25 million. The air temperature here is always 30 degrees Celsius, water - 28.

A sliding mechanism allows the roof to open and close, so there is always blue sky above visitors. The interior of the water park is enlivened by an artificial volcano.

2. Grutas Park

Grutas Park is a museum of monuments, sculptures, busts, bas-reliefs of figures from the period of the revolution, the repressive regime and the period of occupation, as well as posters, awards and other paraphernalia of these years, collected from all over Lithuania. The sculptures of the park, in accordance with the "merits" and the activities of their prototypes, are divided into separate circles: the total regime, the terror regime, the Soviet regime, etc.

Grutas Park is located a hundred kilometers from Vilnius, next to the Druskininkai resort. In less than four years of operation, more than a million people from 80 countries of the world have visited it. You can get into the park through the only bridge across the river that surrounds the park from all sides. On the iron gate at the entrance to the park is written: "Welcome to the USSR!"

This park is a private property, its owner, Vilimas Malinauskas, decided for a long time which park to open in his own woodland with an area of 200 hectares, at first he thought of a park of two thousand years of Lithuanian history with museums of centuries, then he accidentally got into one art workshop and saw a mass of broken sculptures of the Soviet period near it. And I decided to save all this for history, since today nobody especially stands on ceremony with the monumental heritage of the Soviet period, and today 82 sculptures have been preserved in Grutas Park.

This pleasure turned out to be expensive - it cost Vilimas almost a million dollars. From a special entertainment: a restaurant-dining room where you can eat the same Soviet "bread cutlets" and other "canteen food", and the waiters are dressed in pioneer uniforms. Oddly enough, a walk in the park is quite a pleasant pastime, especially for those who are nostalgic for the past.

3. Nintendo Amusement Park

Three New York University alumni New York University) - Dan Albritton, Noah Shibley and Quanya Chen came up with this park to bring to life the video game we know as "Super Mario". Remember?

Italian plumber Mario Mario (he is wearing a red shirt) and his brother Luigi Mario (this guy is wearing a green shirt) must go through the Mushroom Kingdom, consisting of eight worlds, each of which has 4 levels, and, along the way, save the Princess and destroy the forces of evil dinosaur bowser. Mario Mario is the mascot of Nintendo.

Nintendo Park is a clear copyright infringement. But what to do with the inspiration that this game gave to former students? The only thing that could be done was to give birth to an idea. The idea of the park is to create a physically augmented reality in which there will be nothing digital, projected or virtual - in order for the player to have the feeling that he is in a video game, everything must be mechanical.

In 2007, at the E3 exhibition, a prototype park was demonstrated with an obstacle course of 100 meters. The estimate of the cost of building the park is quite symbolic - about 250 thousand dollars, despite the fact that, for example, in Disneyland, each new attraction costs 100 - 500 million dollars. But, while the friends did not find this money either, the model of the park did not make a big impression on anyone. It is not yet clear what this idea will lead to. An idea is an idea, but no one has canceled copyright yet.

4. Candy Park (BonBon-Land)

Despite such a pleasant name, the BonBon-Land park is really strange, perhaps the strangest in Denmark - a country rich in a variety of amusement parks. The characters that are embodied in the park are very similar to the figures of candies popular in Denmark.

But it seems that they were not captured at the best time for them. Chain carousels here are attached not to a mushroom, but to a turtle, with a facial expression "on the eve of how she will vomit." If visitors to the park pass by a dog, it will definitely make a big "kaku".

The pony train for kids here is called "Get off the horse." Throughout the park - here and there, figures of heifers with naked charms are placed. But this does not bother visitors - they came here just to have fun.

UPD: As it became known to me just yesterday from TV, it is in this park that the largest lollipop is located: - a kind of huge sweet disk on an impressive log - white and blue. :)) (AH)

5. EcoAlberto Park (Parque "EcoAlberto")

EcoAlberto Park looks quite ordinary. It is unusual how visitors are entertained here. They are offered to play desperate Mexicans trying to illegally cross the border with the United States.

To do this, you need to make your way through dense thickets, go down steep hills, swim across rivers and overcome barbed wire fences.

Not only that, you have to endure the crossfire of vigilant border guards during a 4-hour night test known as the "caminata nocturna" ("night walk"). This park is located in Hidalgo, and is actually located about a thousand kilometers from the American border.

Although the park also offers the usual entertainment complex for natural parks- rafting, horseback riding and it has comfortable enough rooms for living, most visitors come here for "caminata nocturna".

I think that few people during the “night walk” think about the suffering of migrants, attracting visitors here, of course, the thirst for adrenaline.

6. Action Park in New Jersey ("Action park" New Jersey)

For a long time it was also called the "Park of Death". To visit it and stay alive - that was a real adventure. A water slide with a dead loop at the end? Please. Drowning in a wave pool? No problem.

Problems appeared for the owners of the park only in 1996, when the park was closed to visitors. But by this time, 6 people had already died on the slides. And on crowded days in the pool, lifeguards had to help up to 30 people a day.

Boats with electric current blowers constantly got stuck or capsized, and people had to jump out into the water.

The water in the pools was not warm enough - to the point that one person dived into the water from a hill and died of cardiac arrest due to severe hypothermia. The number of broken noses and knees, dislocations and sprains could not be counted.

Now the reconstructed park has reopened its doors to visitors, but it still has a bad reputation, and it is not yet clear what its prospects are.

7. Diggerland ("Diggerland")

Diggerland is three parks located in different corners England. In this park, all attractions are designed in the form of large construction equipment - tractors, excavators.

Here you can not only visit the bulldozer attraction, but also try to drive a real tractor or excavator yourself.

8. Suoi Tien Park

Suoi Tien Park is located 19 km from Saigon. This park is built in Buddhist style.

Of the unusual attractions, there is a cold “Bat Cave” and a bicycle path that runs over a crocodile farm.

Live crocodiles look impressive and just from the shore.

Various holidays and processions are held in the park - for example, the "Flower Festival", various performances in oriental style.

There are plenty of exotics here. And not far from the park is the mineral "magic spring" Suoi Tien.

Sometimes you really want something unusual, you are tired of water parks and concerts, why not try something new. We have prepared a selection of the 15 most unusual entertainment in Moscow. You will definitely like it!

Hot air balloon flight

One of the first aircraft, invented by man, became an aerostat, or a hot air balloon. The operating principle of the device is simple and reliable. The balloon shell is filled with hot air, which has a lower density than cold air. Due to this, the balloon rises up. And with the regulation of the air temperature in the shell, the flight altitude also changes.

It was the balloons that allowed man to get off the ground for the first time, and then reach the stratosphere. Since the appearance of the first balloons, nothing has fundamentally changed, except that flights have become safer. The standard height that any balloon can reach is 1000–1500 m. The highest world record belongs to the Americans, who climbed 34,668 m in a balloon.

All balloons can be divided into charliers and hot air balloons, which differ from each other in that the former use butane and propane gases as fuel, and the latter use hydrogen gas. Initially, charliers were more popular, as many did not want to take numerous cylinders of fuel with them. But today, when fire-resistant materials and safe gas burners are invented, hot air balloons have also earned their popularity. With their participation are modern festivals and balloon fiestas.

Give yourself and loved ones unforgettable journey which will leave a lot of positive emotions and impressions!

Here, each visitor is given a unique opportunity to feel like a horror hero in the style of Hollywood directors. Crossing the threshold of the labyrinth, brave travelers find themselves in a gloomy and cramped room, which is filled with blood-chilling sounds: the clang of chains, the creak of doors and screams. The gloomy music, probably borrowed from a popular horror film, bright lighting effects and bloody footprints on the walls also give the appropriate atmosphere. Somewhere in pitch darkness, the main inhabitant of the labyrinth wanders - a monster who is not averse to scaring travelers properly.

Mirror of Carlos Santos

In the center of Moscow at 32, Bolshaya Dmitrovka Street, a new space is being opened called The Mirror of Carlos Santos. This is not a restaurant in the usual sense, but a theatrical performance combined with a gastronomic experience. A team of eighty people, led by director Talgat Batalov, playwright Maxim Kurochkin, artist Olga Nikitina and author of the idea Yevgeny Kadomsky, was engaged in the preparation of the guests, while St. Petersburg chef Ruslan Zakirov is responsible for the cuisine recipe. The Mirror of Carlos Santos restaurant is a place where awareness is served for the first, a new experience for the second, and catharsis for dessert. The action unfolds around the participant, or rather, within his own path to the fulfillment of desires or dreams.

The creators of the project define the "Mirror of Carlos Santos" as a restaurant in three steps. Each action is a theatrical performance at the intersection of music, promenade theater and audio performance. At the beginning - cleansing, a kind of preparatory stage, which removes the oppression of everyday fatigue and noise from guests, fills them with new impressions, covers with a sauce of unprecedented experience. The second action is an individual experience alone with your desires and in anticipation of the main thing. The third part is a restaurant where guests, stuffed with new meanings, are ready to meet with food.

Laureates and nominees of the Golden Mask took part in the creation of the project: in addition to director Talgat Batalov and playwright Maxim Kurochkin, production designer Olga Nikitina, choreographer Alexander Andriyashkin, lighting designer Narek Tumanyan, theater sound producer Vitaly Aminov. The co-author of the final composition was the singer Manizha, and one of the conductors of the action was Yang Ge, an actress of the Gogol Center and a finalist of the sixth season of the Voice project. The author of the project idea and the general producer is Evgeny Kadomsky.

Mobius strip maze

The Moebius tape maze is amazing. In it, the walls and floor are painted red, so that there is practically no border between them. Because of this, the visitor feels weightless. The dense wall of brightly colored ribbons resembles a kaleidoscope pattern that must have been one of childhood's favorite toys.

Getting out of the bands is not as easy as it might seem. However, while wandering between them, a person will experience only positive emotions. This is due to the fact that all color schemes were created with the help of professional psychologists who selected warm and eye-pleasing shades. It is worth remembering that the laws of logic do not apply in the Mobius ribbon maze, so you need to trust only your feelings.

giant's house

The “Giant's House” strikes the imagination with its scale! Everything in it more human several times, so that, taking the first step, everyone will feel like a very tiny creature.

A saucepan that can accommodate a dozen visitors, giant size a vacuum cleaner, a toothbrush and a human-sized tube of toothpaste… But first things first. The attraction is a spacious room, which is divided into themed rooms: living room, kitchen, nursery and bathroom. In each room there are huge household items of the giant and his family, which, judging by the scattered things, consists of a wife and a child.

Labyrinth "In the Dark"

Modern man is so accustomed to constant lighting that he is almost unable to feel confident in a dark room. What can we say about the network of intricate corridors. Once in the maze "In the Dark", each player will have to remember that he has such senses as smell and touch, which will help to find a way out.

The labyrinth may scare many, but those who want to get new sensations will definitely like it. The walls of the corridors are covered with a variety of materials - it can be either the usual plastic or rubber, or something that can puzzle and shock. Unexpected twists and turns and dead ends lie in wait for players in the dark, and only the most courageous will be able to reach the end.

Attraction bay utensils

Attraction "Beat the Dishes", unlike others, is not entertaining, its visit is aimed at mental health and stress management. The visitor is provided with an impressive amount of porcelain, earthenware and glass utensils that can and should be thrown at the wall.

There are targets on the wall, which, if desired, can be decorated with photographs of the evil boss who is guilty young man or worst competitor. On the provided utensils, you can write whatever you want to say - this will make the effect of therapy even more effective and efficient. Professional psychologists note that the “Bay the Dishes” attraction will really allow you to survive pressing problems and find peace.

Shark and moray feeding show

If you are an incurable dozen and are not afraid to be in the very center of a flock of sharks, then this show is what you need. What will happen after? A bold hand will penetrate the aquarium and throw pieces of meat to the sea monsters. Right before your eyes, the jaws with thousands of teeth will begin to tear apart pieces of meat.

Museum of Illusions at VDNKh

Who at least once did not dream of being on the same stage next to the cult musicians of The Beatles, getting a haircut from Edward Scissorhands, jumping from a parachute or seeing real zombies? All this is now possible in the Museum of Illusions.

The exhibits of the Museum of Optical Illusions are large three-dimensional canvases and models, which were worked on by a whole team of professionals, including artists, illustrators, and designers. Perhaps many of them at first glance seem chaotic or ridiculous, but through the prism of the camera lens, this impression will immediately disappear.

Immersive show "Returned"

Immersiveness is a new concept for the Russian public, it implies the complete immersion of the viewer in the action of the performance, the freedom of choice to independently determine their own path, build their own story and respond to what is happening. The format originated in New York.

"Returned" is the first in Russia and only the fourth in the world successful project of this genre, comparable in scale to the famous shows in New York and Shanghai.

All performances are sold out, 220 tickets are sold for each show. The performance is a living mechanism that constantly grows and develops. A new storyline was introduced, four new scenes, for the implementation of which a new casting of actors and dancers was announced.

In the new season, the creators of the project, in their usual manner, have prepared new surprises for the sophisticated Moscow public.

The acting team will be enriched by stars who will first undergo special trainings under the strict guidance of the creators and authors of the project. New faces in the acting team are called upon to reveal the plot twists and the meaning of the play by the Norwegian classic in a new way.

Throughout life, each person tries to find himself, his place in life and a hobby that would bring joy and pleasure. Most often, people find an outlet in drawing, singing, creating something with their own hands, but there are such unique people who come up with absolutely unthinkable and ridiculous entertainment, to which a common person hardly think of it. Some of these unexpected entertainments even managed to make the oddballs popular by making them famous people. In the continuation of the article you will find 7 of the strangest hobbies in the world!

Filing claims in court

Judgment is something that many, at least sane people try to avoid, but not Jonathan Lee Riches, who entered the Guinness Book of Records as the most litigious person in the world. IN this moment he is serving time for fraud in a federal penitentiary in Kentucky.

In pursuit of "legal masterpieces," Riches has filed 2,600 lawsuits in various federal district courts between 2006 and today. The targets of his litigation were former US President George W. Bush, Somali pirates, the missing American trade union leader Jimmy Hoffa, Holocaust survivors, the Roman Empire, and even Buddhist monks. Jonathan Lee Riches has also sued various scientific ideas and inanimate objects, including the Lincoln Memorial, the Dark Ages and the Eiffel Tower.

Collecting ecstasy

In 2009, the police in the city of Irbik (Netherlands) received a strange call: a 46-year-old man reported that an unknown person had stolen a collection of ecstasy from his house, which was stored in coin albums and consisted of more than 2,400 tablets.

According to the victim, he himself never used drugs and was well aware that his unusual hobby was illegal. The man decided to report to the police for the simple reason that several dozen pills in his stolen collection were poisonous.

The Irbik authorities did not press charges against him due to a lack of direct evidence. The man said he no longer hoped to see his amphetamine collection again.

Flying... without a plane

Have you ever jumped from an airplane with a parachute? And without a plane in a wingsuit, soaring like a bird above the ground?

Wingsuits appeared in the early 1930s and were made of canvas and whalebone, which, of course, had a negative effect on the duration, range and safety of the flight.

Modern wingsuits began to be developed in the mid-1990s. Thanks to an improved design, they allow the athlete to overcome tens of kilometers through the air (the current record is just over 27 km) when falling from a height of 5000 meters.

Buying a wingsuit in the United States, for example, is quite difficult, since the government of the country, as well as a number of manufacturers, require a person to have serious experience in this matter - at least 200 standard freefall jumps made no earlier than 18 months before the request was made to buy a suit.

extreme ironing

Ironing clothes is a rather boring and tedious task. And what if you combine it with rock climbing, snowboarding and others extreme views sports? Brad, you say. But no!

It all started in 1997, when an East Midlands resident named Phil Shaw was given a choice: stay at home and do what he loves - ironing - or go rock climbing with friends. Being a completely sane person, Shaw decided to combine both, because, in addition to climbing equipment He took an ironing board and an iron with him. Thus, a new hobby was born - extreme ironing, which in 15 years managed to conquer the whole world. Fans of this sport (if you can call it that) ironed their shirts while kayaking, mountain peaks and even in the middle of busy freeways.

Participation in artistic dog grooming competitions

People who take part in dog trimming competitions "mock" the poor animals as they please. What is there to say?! Judge for yourself:

News bombing

Some people make history, while others are constantly trying to "light up" in the news reports, just at the moment when this story is being conveyed to the audience. They call such background characters “news bombers.”

The man who is captured in all the frames below is a resident of London, Paul Yarrow. For several years, he managed to appear in many reports of such well-known television companies as the BBC, al Jazeera, Sky News and others.

Yarrow learns about the places from which the live broadcast will be conducted, comes there, and while the correspondent is talking on camera about the events that have taken place, he simply stands in the background, without disturbing anyone.

Trainsurfing (travel outside trains)

Trainsurfing originated in Germany in the 1980s and from there spread throughout the globe. Its essence is to find the train - the faster the better - jump on it and probably die after that. And what other consequences can be expected from such a dangerous undertaking?

In 2008, train jumping killed more than 40 people in Germany, mostly young people.

For some, rest is associated exclusively with complete relaxation and a quiet pastime under palm trees, while others, on the contrary, do not like to sit still and strive to raise the level of adrenaline to the maximum level during the rest, testing themselves and their nervous system for strength. We have collected the most interesting attractions in the world for those travelers who like to tickle their nerves.

In the United States, tourists traditionally go to Las Vegas for entertainment: countless casinos, nightclubs, restaurants, cabarets and other entertainment venues are located literally at every step. But for fans of extreme sports, the Americans have prepared something special: if you are not averse to tickling your nerves, then go to the Stratosphere tower. On the first floors of the building, as expected, there is a casino, followed by 2444 hotel rooms, but the most interesting thing awaits tourists at the top.

Firstly, the "Stratosphere" is equipped with the highest observation platform in the USA, and secondly, the spire of the tower is a place where you can experience several extreme rides at once. The Big Shot is the highest interesting attraction in the world - chairs fixed on the platform around the tower spire rise to a height of 329 meters, and then fall sharply. And then they rise again. The speed of this catapult reaches 7 km/h. Insanity the Ride is a merry-go-round that hovered over a 300-meter-high abyss and rotated at great speed. At the same time, the chairs tilt, so that those who wish to experience this interesting attraction in action literally hang face down on their seat belts. And the third attraction of the "Stratosphere" X Scream - a trailer moving along the rails at breakneck speed. But not everything is so simple - at the most crucial moment the car flies out of the roof, hovering over the city at an altitude of 285 meters.

It would seem that the water park is a great option for family leisure. But Fortaleza beach park in Brazil is not just a water park: the world's highest waterslide, Insano, is located here. It was built in 1989, but this record has not yet been beaten by anyone. Tourists here expect a descent from a height of 41 meters (this is the height of a 15-story building) at a speed of more than 100 km / h. At the same time, most of the “track” is located almost vertically. Everything happens very quickly - after about 5 seconds you find yourself in the water. There are no serious restrictions on participation in the attraction. If you don't have cardiovascular disease, you are not pregnant, have reached a certain age and your height is more than 140 cm - welcome! If you dare, of course.

The picturesque Wild Wadi Water Park is located in Dubai - somewhere, where, but in this city they know a lot about entertainment and know how to surprise! This paradise for lovers of water fun is located between the famous Burj Al Arab sail hotel and the no less famous and chic wave hotel. Jumeirah Beach Hotel, so it can be safely called a water park with the best view.
