Since 2016, residents of Crimea began to receive pensions of all types, and additional payments that exist on the territory of the Russian Federation. The minimum pension in Crimea, as well as throughout the Russian Federation, is calculated taking into account the regional factor. The final amount of the minimum pension (consumer basket of a pensioner) is set by the authorities of the region.

From January 1, 2018, according to the draft law adopted in Crimea in the autumn of 2017 and signed by the head of Crimea S. Aksenov, and subsequently approved in the first reading by the State Council of the Republic of Crimea at the next meeting, the minimum regional pension is 8,530 rubles.

The amount of the increase will be calculated on a general basis, as for all citizens of the Russian Federation. He noted that as of October 1, 2017, 80,025 pensioners of the Republic receive the social federal supplement provided for by law, so that the size of the minimum pension is not less than the amount stipulated by the federal budget. In the Russian Federation, the minimum wage is determined in the amount of 4823.35 rubles.

Every year, according to Federal Law No. 134, representatives of local regional authorities are required to determine the cost of the consumer basket (the size of the minimum regional pension), and transfer this data to the Federal Government to determine the amount of total monthly supplements made by the authorities of the country.
