What to take on vacation. Healthy snacks on the road, traveling by car, train or bus: a list of food on the road, tips. Vacation with a baby

Quite often, the most unpleasant point of travel is long and burdensome fees. Or fast and stupid. I know those who are going on a trip with taste for a week, thinking through each pin, and those who are going on the day of departure, forgetting half of it. Did you recognize yourself?

I have been preparing for the trip for years. Every time after returning from a trip, starting from a trip to the Crimea in 1998, I wrote "Lists of things for the road based on the results of the last trip." And going next time on the road, I always used the previous list. She opened a notepad and with a pen put a tick in front of the item packed in luggage.
A lot has accumulated over the past 15 years. In any case, the brown notebook is over. The lists differ from each other because the trips themselves differ: the number and set of things for a three-week trip differs from the list of things for two- and three-day trips. Also, a trip by train, bus and car involves slightly different sets and distributions of things. What is distribution? This is packing things in different bags: luggage (which will be removed and left untouched during the move to the destination), bag (s) with you (what you will use on the trip).

Advertising - club support

Due to the nature of my work, I traveled quite a lot. Over time, numerous lists turned into one standard list of things that you can get together in 1 hour, provided that you are traveling with a small family (here, of course, you can’t do it in an hour) and provided that the clothes are washed and ironed in the closet, only get a stack. Because "work" with clothes is the most time-consuming. We always keep clothes (and shoes!) in combat (clean!) readiness if you are an avid traveler.
So, I present to you a simple and "quick" list of things to collect on a trip (trip, road). Prepare a bag (suitcase), print out the list, fold things and put a mark in front of each item.
P.S. Care and hygiene products can be packed together in one bag. The same goes for drugs. Try to arrange items in such a way that close ones for their intended purpose are located together, so it will be convenient to find them and unpack them on the spot.

Food

I do not write a list of food, because it is very individual. You can take fruits, nuts, dryers, cookies, sweets, a couple of packages of cold cuts, bread, as well as plenty of water and various drinks like Lipton green tea.
We prefer to eat in a cafe so that we can feed the child with soup, and we ourselves do not sit on dry food. Travel food should be tasty and safe.

This list is quite general - both for those traveling by car and those traveling by train. For those who travel by bus, you need to take additional things, but I will make a separate post about this.
For those who travel with children, read the posts:

good to you suitcase mood and fast fees!

Before any trip, the question arises of what to take with you on a trip, so that on the one hand there are no extra things and excess baggage, and on the other hand, everything is at hand.
We share our experience, life hacks for packing suitcases, lists of necessary things for ourselves and children.

Even going somewhere for a short time, for two to three days, it is easy to get carried away and gain too much. The girls will understand me. The list of things to rest is an endless struggle with yourself and torment, what to take with you on a trip, and what to leave, everything you need and you want to take everything at once. I hope our lists from today's article will help you, at least every time I have to check with them and lay out what you can safely do without on vacation.

Preparing for the trip - a list of things to rest

If you're one of those last-day packers, try to break with tradition and start preparing for your trip ahead of time.
Preparing for independent travel takes a lot of time and effort, because you need to choose and buy airplane tickets , , find a hotel , study information about the place where you are going.

The list of things to rest is also worth writing in advance. For this purpose, I simply open a notebook and write down everything that comes to mind for several days in a row. Then I sort and throw out of it what
which is not useful.

What to take with you on a trip?

The first thing you should check is documents, bank cards, money, visas, tickets.
It is best to have a small purse or wallet on a string, where you can fold documents and hang around your neck.
Thus, the likelihood that you will forget it, you will be robbed or lost is minimal. hang a handbag under the clothes-jacket-jacket.

What to take with you on vacation? - going to the airport

Passports and their copies. If you are a family of travelers with children, then let the original passports, tickets, etc. important documents, which will be needed on the way, will be with one person. Moms or dads.
Do not forget to make electronic versions of documents as well.

It is better to print hotel reservations in advance, even if they are not required.

printouts electronic tickets usually not needed, but if you make copies and other printouts with you, then make them at the same time.

The data of all tickets, passports, armor, insurance and other things - take a picture and send it to your mail, save it in the cloud storage, take a screenshot, whatever, just in case you lose everything - you have at least something left.

You must have cash. Let it be dollars or euros + National currency. Rubles will be needed at the airport to pay for a taxi or other trifles. Dollars or Euros upon arrival.
Abroad, large bills are exchanged at a higher rate, but if you are traveling to a country where you can pay with dollars, then take small bills as well.

Multiple bank cards. Debit and credit. Some bank cards are needed because our banks like to suddenly block the card while you are abroad, cards tend to get lost, demagnetized and eaten by an ATM. 3-4 cards is optimal.

Phrasebook (mini version), notepad with pen. The phrase book can be downloaded to a tablet or phone, as well as a map of the area. Now there are many cards that work even without the Internet.

If there driver's license, take it too. In which case, you can rent a car abroad or just use the V/Y as a document instead of a passport.

Do not know where to buy air tickets at the most low prices? Look at Aviasales And skyscanner .
To find flights at the lowest price, you should check in both search engines and compare prices for different dates of arrival and departure.

List of things to rest - first aid kit

What to take with you on a trip from medicines? And does it need to be done?

In my opinion, a first aid kit is a must when traveling. It does not matter how many days you are leaving - for one or for a month, you must take the most necessary medicines with you on a trip without fail.
Not because we are greedy or stupid, but in many countries medicines cannot be bought without a prescription.
Usually health care needed at the most inopportune moment, most often at night, and if you have children with you, all the more so - at least the minimum set of medicines should be in travel first aid kit. Sometimes there is simply no time and opportunity to look for a pharmacy, a night, a day off, a retreat from civilization - anything can happen.

Travel first aid kit - list

I advise you to divide the first-aid kit into "essential" and what can be stored in luggage.
First, we take what we carry in hand luggage and take everywhere on the road.

On a trip it is better to take with you:

Antipyretic and analgesic drugs
Remedies for diarrhea
From poisoning
Broad Spectrum Antibiotics
Allergy Remedies
From motion sickness
For injuries
Eye and ear drops
Individual preparations for chronic diseases
Personal hygiene items

Travel equipment - a list of things to rest

What else to take with you on a trip? Of course technology. Laptops, iPads, phones and cameras.

I take a laptop and a large camera only if I am going to work. If this is a recreational trip, I make do with the phone.

If you are going somewhere for at least 3 weeks or a month, then you should take with you on a trip:

laptop + charger

Mobile phone+ charging + headphones + powerbank or extra battery

Camera - if you are a photographer, you need a photo for work or in general, do not think without it. Otherwise, think a hundred times. Cameras, chargers, wires to it weigh a lot, they are too lazy to hang around with them, they are often lost.

You can also take a flash drive and a removable hard drive. Many hotels have TVs with USB input, so instead of sad news, you can watch movies while traveling.

Put all wires, chargers and other trifles in a separate bag.
This does not apply to headphones, charging from the phone and the phone itself.

What to take on a trip from clothes and shoes

If all of the above were flowers, then “berries” will go now.
clothes and shoes are a sore spot for every woman. But let's gather our will into a fist and take only the most necessary.

Girls! If you are going to a country that is famous for its inexpensive textiles, interesting and exciting shopping (like Thailand or Vietnam), take the minimum.
In the same Thailand, India, there is nowhere to go in cocktail dresses with 20 cm heels. Just mix local roosters and hens, hobbling along the impassability.

Clothing taken with you on a trip should be comfortable, light and utilitarian.
If you still can not do without a smart dress, well, take one, the easiest.

The list of clothes and shoes is as follows:

Several t-shirts + shorts-skirt
Light pants
Dress-one
Jacket with a sleeve.
Several pairs of underwear + socks
Swimsuit / swimming trunks - if you are going to the sea
Try to choose everything so that it fits together.
If you are traveling to hot country in winter, this set is quite enough. Especially if you buy something else.
For a winter country, a completely different list.

From shoes to rest it is worth taking: at sea - slates, closed tennis shoes or converse, or sneakers.
All. Grab some light shoes if you can't resist and carry a hundred thousand cocktail dresses.

What to take with you on a trip - hygiene

Men should take a shaving kit and, perhaps, everything :)

Girls, pull yourself together and do not throw everything that is at hand into your cosmetic bag.
The easiest way to determine if you need a thing or not is by how often you use it. Every day?
Then we take. Once a year? Just standing for 3 years and waiting for his trip? - You shouldn't carry it.

In all cosmetic stores, large supermarkets, ikea and others, cosmetic bags are sold with empty vials under travel kits.
I have Ikea jars where I usually pour my favorite shampoo and conditioner. Exactly 100mg, as it is allowed to carry in hand luggage.
The rest are mini kits. Also remember all your tubes-jars that you dragged from past hotel trips, you can also use them.

So, the list of things to rest - hygiene:

Wet wipes + pads
Toothpaste + brush
Shaving accessories
Shampoo, body cream, hand cream, sample lotion
Dry wipes
Liquid antiseptic - especially if you are traveling with children
Several empty small bags - under the trash
Mini deodorant hard stick or crystal
Comb
Eyebrow tongs+nail clippers+nail file
Mirror
Sunglasses

No matter how well your first aid kit is assembled, you definitely need to buy insurance on a trip. Everywhere abroad, seeking medical help is very expensive, and insurance issued online, on the contrary, is cheap.
So we recommend the service, where among the 16 best insurance companies you can choose and compare,
choose an insurance policy based on your requirements and parameters at the best price.

Little things to take on a trip

Depending on where you are going, you can take some small things with you:

a lighter, matches, a fumigator against mosquitoes and insects, a flashlight, a steelyard, a boiler, threads with a needle, adhesive tape, an extension cord, an adapter for sockets. You can also bring folding mugs and spoons with you.

Packing life hacks: it’s better to roll things into rollers, and put something small or breaking into the rollers themselves.
Anything that can leak is securely packaged in foil and cling film above.

List of things on the plane

You should take small dry snacks like nuts, dried fruits and even sandwiches with you on the plane.
While you stand in queues, go through all the controls, hurry up and wait for you to be fed, it will take a lot of time, more than 4 hours, during which time you will definitely get hungry.

If children are flying with you, then the list of things to rest can and should be greatly expanded. About what to take with you on a trip with children a little lower.

Do not forget about the rules for carrying things in hand luggage. Do not feed gifts to border guards. Do not take any liquids with a volume exceeding 100 mg.
If you have a 200 gram perfume bottle filled with 10%, then it will also be taken away.
Maximum capacity bottles, containers, jars - should be 100 mg.
Can be in hand luggage Take with you 10 bottles of 100 mg, that is, a liter.

About what can and cannot be carried in hand luggage in the article - What can and cannot be taken with you on a plane?

Traveling with a child

Documents, powers of attorney (if necessary), all this in the first place.

Pick up clothes so that in which case you have a couple more sets on hand to change. Including you. Children are very fond of burping, spitting, sneezing porridge on their mother in the midst of a journey.
Pampers, a few - if the child is small.

It is allowed for a child to take on the plane the food and drink to which he is accustomed. So if the baby bottle is 200mg, it will be skipped.

A must have entertainment for the child on the plane. Let it be a lot of things of different ages.
Laces, rustlers, books, drawings, puzzles, and of course a tablet with cartoons.
Of course, I think that watching cartoons for hours is harmful for children, but sometimes you can’t do without it.
Prepare all sorts of rhymes, riddles, finger games and puzzles. On the plane, you will be your favorite entertainer.

For children, it is also worth taking snacks - cookies, snacks, sandwiches, yogurt, fruits, drinks.

What should not be taken with you on a trip?

I understand that parting with a lot of things is hard.

But on a trip, you should not drag dimensional things like a hair dryer or iron with you.
Even if your hotel is simple and does not provide a hair dryer and iron in every room, you can always ask for it at the reception.

Don't take paper books. Download audiobooks or e-books to your phone and tablet.

Do not take expensive jewelry and in general, everything is expensive. On a trip, everything is often lost, stolen and lost.
If your trip is a tourist plan, then diamonds will only become an excuse for profit, and will do more harm than good.

How to save money on a hotel or apartment on vacation?

I'm looking on the Rumguru website. It contains absolutely all discounts on hotels and apartments from 30 booking systems, including booking. Often I find very profitable options, it turns out to save from 30 to 80%

How to save on insurance?

You need insurance abroad. Any admission is very expensive and the only way not to pay out of pocket is to choose an insurance policy in advance. For many years we have been making out on the site that give the best prices It takes only a couple of minutes for insurance and selection along with registration.

About, what to wear in hiking can be read in the article

About, what to take on a hike can be read in the article

Life hacks from the site:

  1. Nuts, crackers, marmalades, sucking sweets, chips are great to save you from a boring road and help you “starve a worm” before a snack. On the road, we always try to keep a spare pack of such sweets in the car.
  2. A thermos of coffee should always be on hand to cheer up the driver. Our Zojirushi thermos fits perfectly in car cup holders and easily keeps the right temperature until the next overnight stay, even if it does not happen today.
  3. Emergency food supply: under the seat, we always keep an extra supply of instant mashed potatoes and noodles just in case. With our passion to get somewhere far away, it is not always possible to count on a shop or cafe in the steppe. And in general, you never know where you get up and where you decide to take a walk. It’s good if there are also a couple of chocolates under the seat, rye bread and maybe some canned food ... The main thing to remember is that this is NZ!
  4. A compact frying pan is never superfluous. Among the products in the car, we usually always have chicken eggs. I confess that for me it is a special buzz to cook scrambled eggs for Rob in the morning. And sometimes in stores you can even find a ready-made mixture for making pancakes - and this is a separate holiday!
  5. There are never too many paper napkins. I always take a lot of them. First of all, they do an excellent job of cleaning dishes from grease and are generally convenient when there is nowhere to wash them or just too lazy to go. Honestly, I do the same with our plates on a hike.
  6. Jet Boil - we often write about this wonderful device and talk a lot, and we will say it again, because we really use it everywhere: even in traffic jams, heating water right in the car.
  7. Water! 5 l clean drinking water should always be in the car - this is our binding rule after poisoning in Abkhazia. For drinking on the road, we buy cool mineral sparkling water - it invigorates well, and in parking lots we often use the stored five-liter bottle. This again contributes to our autonomy, since our snack is not tied to a stream or a store.
  8. The Leatherman Multitool is the one that helps and saves space in your car without making a mess. Robert does not carry an extra screwdriver, wire cutters, bottle opener or corkscrew - he always has everything at hand in this compact super multitool.

Traveling by any mode of transport involves fees, and for many this becomes a problem. Is it possible to predict what will be needed on the road?

Experienced tourists traveling in different directions have made a number of recommendations. They will help you take with you on the road really what you absolutely need, and not “a sofa, a suitcase, a bag, a picture, a basket, a cardboard box and a little dog.”

What to take with you on the road

First of all, you need to collect documents - passports, insurance, driver license. For them, you will need a small handbag that you can always carry with you and not check in your luggage. Plastic cards with finances should be added to the documents. It is highly desirable to make photocopies of all documents and put them away. But the above is not the only thing you need to take with you on a trip.

So that the bag with documents does not fall in the car

From food

The conditions for travelers are now just excellent - you don’t even have to worry about lunch, because along the way you can use the services of cafes located on national highways and at train stations.

But still, you need to think about food - you always want to have something to eat on the road, and given the prices for lunches and dinners in roadside canteens, you can save a lot.

Rules for collecting food on the road:

  • Choose foods or prepared meals that can long time stored without refrigeration. Food should remain resistant to sunlight, be easy to prepare, and ideally do not require any processing at all - it is better to prepare everything in advance.
  • Exclude from the list products that have a strong odor and crumble heavily. Even the most pleasant aromas of food will begin to annoy everyone around, and the crumbs will interfere with a comfortable rest - they will literally “chase” the traveler.
  • Vegetables and fruits can become not only the main dish, but also a healthy snack option on the road. You should not take fruits with a thick skin, it is better to cut them at once / divide them into slices, put them in a container and use them first. You can also cut vegetable salads into plastic trays - any, but without adding oil or mayonnaise (sauces are packed in separate containers).
  • From vegetables it is worth preparing pancakes or cutlets - from potatoes, carrots, zucchini, cabbage, or you can fry cauliflower inflorescences in batter: it's all delicious when cold and retains its freshness for a long time.
  • Sandwiches are considered the most common type of food on the road, but it will be much more convenient to cook them in the form of rolls. To do this, any products are wrapped in thin pita bread - and it is convenient and tasty. As a "filler" of such rolls, you can use fried meat, lettuce leaves, and ham with cheese.
  • The meat on the road is cooked in the oven like boiled pork baked in foil. It is advisable to add a lot of seasonings and spices at the time of cooking - they will become a kind of preservative that will help preserve the quality of the product for a long time. By the way, you don’t need to pack such meat; it’s wrapped in foil and placed in a bag. You can replace the boiled pork with fried chicken or boneless fish. It is important that these products are subjected to aggressive heat treatment.
  • Snacks - nuts, dried fruits, marshmallows, marshmallows and marmalade. It will be both a snack and a sweet for a glass of tea on the road. You can take muesli in the form of bars, which can even become a full breakfast. Snacks will successfully replace chips, sunflower seeds, flavored crackers, which do more harm than good.

The list helps you not to forget anything on the road.

If you have a long trip, then you can stock up on semi-finished products - instant cereals, mashed potatoes, vermicelli, for the preparation of which you only need boiling water. You can take a stick of raw smoked sausage, but it is better to refuse sausages and boiled sausage - they are perishable products.

And one more thing: when collecting food, you need to take an additional mug, spoon, knife and bowl with you - experienced travelers call this set KLNM. In addition, put napkins, toothpicks, disposable tableware and packing bags under the trash in the bag.

  • Food - this is described in detail above. The only thing you need to add to the car is 5 - 10 liters of drinking water, pure water. You can also put a bedspread, oilcloth, a few trays. So it will be possible to organize an impromptu picnic by turning off the road into the woods.

Experienced travelers are advised to bring flip-flops / slippers (they are convenient to be in the car), several pairs of socks and underwear for a change.

If the tour is in a train

Traveling by train can be very comfortable if you take everything you need with you:

  • personal hygiene items - a standard set of wet wipes, toilet paper, cotton pads, toothpicks, toothpaste and brushes and so on;
  • food and drink - it all depends on preferences and wishes, you can take boiled potatoes with eggs, and already boiled or fried sausages on the train;
  • clothes and shoes - they should be comfortable, free and not restricting movement: capris / shorts / leggings / leggings + t-shirt / tunic / tank top / thin sweater, flip flops / slippers / sandals and be sure to have several pairs of socks and underwear.

It often becomes boring on the train, movies / e-books, crosswords, downloaded to a laptop or tablet, will help to unwind, printed editions, coloring-antistress, knitting.

Watch the video on what you should take with you on the train:

Bus ride

To all of the above, it is worth adding the following points:

  • you will need a small piece of oilcloth - it will allow you to carefully eat;
  • as a drink, water with lemon slices is optimal;
  • a small inflatable pillow will come in handy - it will be comfortable to relax;
  • if the trip is to be in the cold season, then you need to take a light blanket, a thin shawl with you;
  • must have a change of clothes and shoes "at hand".

For information on what to take with you on a bus trip, see this video:

What not to forget in winter

Various things can happen on a trip, so you need to prepare as much as possible for force majeure. Winter travel is "weighted down" low temperatures air, snow drifts, so you need to take care of warming up in advance during periods of forced long stops. Plaids, jackets, blankets - this must be present in the car.

How to save space in your suitcase

Additionally, you need to put camping matches, some newspapers (this will help to light a fire if necessary) and a gas burner to prepare tea or hot food without an open flame.

The winter road does not forgive mistakes, so you need to go on a trip with charged gadgets, full tank gasoline or other fuel.

And one more important nuance: V winter trip Bring more food and drink with you. They will be needed to maintain energy during a forced stop.

Medicines for travel

So that the joy of the trip is not overshadowed by poor health, you do not have to spend time recovering and looking for pharmacies, you need to correctly collect a first aid kit. It should contain all the drugs that a person takes regularly in a constant mode if there is chronic diseases. In addition, they put in the first-aid kit:

  • ointments with analgesic effect - for example, Diclofenac, which will help with bruises and stretch marks;
  • antipyretic - Paracetamol, Aspirin;
  • antispasmodics - No-shpa, Spazmalgon;
  • sorbents (help with poisoning, diarrhea) - Enterosgel;
  • antihistamines (for allergies) - Claritin, L-Cet or regular Diazolin;
  • dressing material - bandage, gauze wipes, sterile rubber gloves;
  • disinfectants and antiseptics - Chlorhexidine, Zelenka, iodine.

If you go on a journey with a child

Traveling with a child imposes additional responsibility on parents - you need to change the fee algorithm and add a few more items to the already indicated necessary items / things.

What food to take

Very young children need to take only instant cereals - boiling water can be found on the train, at train stations, and in roadside cafes. But older children can collect:

  • fresh fruits, homemade crackers without chemical additives and non-dry cookies - suitable as snacks;
  • natural yoghurts with long term storage;
  • steam cutlets, boiled chicken - they will need to be consumed first;
  • fried white chicken meat in batter.

If there is a small thermos, then you can put hot borscht or soup there - it will not cool down for 6 hours, which means it will not turn sour, so the child will have a full lunch.

About what kind of food a child should take on a train so as not to get poisoned, see this video:

What are emergency medicines

Often children get sick both in a car and on a train with a bus. In this case, special candies with a sour taste will come in handy. Doctors advise stocking up:

  • Nurofen for children - a powerful antipyretic;
  • activated charcoal or Enterosgel - quickly stop diarrhea, vomiting;
  • Diazolin, Eden in a children's dosage - they will save you from an allergic reaction to any irritant, including insect bites;
  • anti-burn sprays - Panthenol;
  • saline solutions to replenish fluid in the body - Regidron.

It is advisable to put scissors, cotton swabs and discs in the first aid kit - this is useful for dressings, treating open wounds.

Toys and entertainment

Children constantly require attention, several hours or days in a monotonous environment will become a burden to both them and those accompanying them. Consider entertainment options:

  • toys - favorite, but not small in size and not traumatic;
  • coloring books, an album, pencils - this is not useful in a car and a bus, but it is convenient to do this on a train;
  • children's books with stickers;
  • board games - suitable for the train.

Of course, cartoons uploaded to a tablet or laptop, children's educational programs will also come in handy. But you don’t need to rely too much on them, because the child quickly gets bored, the gadgets run out of charge, and during the restoration of their work, the baby will still need to be occupied with something.

And more about where you can relax well and inexpensively in the city and abroad.

Competent fees for the trip is a big half of the success of the "event". Taking into account your own preferences, recommendations experienced travelers and the time of the upcoming trip, it will be possible to foresee all situations and protect yourself from them.

Today I’ll tell you what to take with you on the train from food, clothes, hygiene products, entertainment, documents, if you are going to long trip. After all, you can endure a few hours, and on a long journey you want to feel as comfortable as possible.

I have a solid experience of riding trains since my early childhood (often planes from my city are expensive), so I decided to make a list of things to take with you on the train for those who travel less often or even for the first time. And it does not matter for one day, two days or more.

Documentation

The first thing you should definitely check before leaving home is documents and money:

  • train tickets,
  • passports,
  • child's birth certificate,
  • school certificates and a power of attorney for the child (if necessary),
  • a small amount of cash.

I recommend putting all your valuables in either a small fanny pack or a dedicated canvas bag to keep them with you at all times. In principle, you can store them under the pillow, here it’s more convenient and familiar to you. It is better not to take a large amount of cash with you, and even more so not to shine it (although it has become much safer on trains now), a small supply is enough for small expenses, and the rest is on a bank card.

Cloth

Take a change of clothes with you on the train. The main thing is that it is convenient for you personally.

  • flip flops - easy to take off and put on,
  • t-shirt/shirt,
  • sweatpants/shorts,
  • jacket / turtleneck,
  • interchangeable regular socks/woolen socks.
  • earplugs and an eye mask - great for helping you fall asleep anywhere.

It all depends on the time of the year and the specific carriage: in summer it will be hot even without air conditioning, in winter some trains are poorly heated, so you have to pull on warm clothes.

Hygiene and cosmetics

It is imperative to take hygiene products with you on the train, because even despite the apparent cleanliness, the cars are not sterile.

  • toothpaste and brush (there are special travel cases for brushes),
  • soap and soap dish,
  • antibacterial wipes - they are convenient to wipe your hands and the table before eating, and in general they will come in handy in many places,
  • toilet paper,
  • paper napkins,
  • comb,
  • tonic for washing, cream, cotton pads and sticks for women.

You will be given a towel along with bed linen but you can bring your own if you like. Washers are conveniently folded into a special plastic package with a lock, even if something leaks, the rest of the things will remain clean. I often have disposable bars of soap and toothpaste from hotels, often I take them.

first aid kit

We always have a small first aid kit with us, even if we go to nearby town not to mention long journeys. You should not take a lot, but you should take the main medicines with you on the train:

  • painkillers,
  • allergy remedies,
  • remedies for indigestion and pain in the stomach,
  • antipyretic,
  • plaster, iodine,
  • specific medicines for your particular ailments.

What to take on the train from food and drink?

The romance of the train, food and conversations with fellow travelers are inseparable. For our people, the process of eating on railway carries some kind of sacred meaning :-) After all, as soon as the train leaves the platform, many immediately take out a chicken, Rolltons and Doshiraki, boiled eggs, bread and tea - this is a classic! And how it smells ... these are memories from childhood.

Dine in the dining car is not very tasty and, moreover, very expensive, so it is better to pack food with you. So, what kind of food to take on the train?

Remember that you should not take perishable food and food with strong smell, so you can not only get poisoned, but also cause inconvenience to neighbors.

List of what to take on the train from food:

  • vegetables: tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, boiled corn,
  • fruits: apples, pears, tangerines, bananas, oranges. Wash fruits and vegetables at home in advance, take not the most ripe ones so that they live long.
  • grilled chicken,
  • boiled eggs,
  • smoked sausage,
  • cheeses: hard or melted, wrap in foil,
  • boiled potatoes in their skins, for the first time,
  • bread, preferably already sliced,
  • disposable instant cereals,
  • dried fruits and nuts,
  • sweets: caramel sweets, gingerbread, waffles, cookies,
  • tea bags,
  • sugar and salt
  • drinking water.

Sometimes, when food is not from home, you have to take noodles or instant potatoes, but I will not advise it, only as a last resort.

There is also an opinion that the water in titanium is not very good and is rarely brought to a boil, but during my trips everything was ok.
