You can carry it with you. What not to take on a plane: a detailed list. – satisfaction with acceptable sizes

The plane is the most convenient, fast and comfortable means of transport. In a matter of hours, you can cover huge distances by air. But, due to its specificity, at all airports in the world and in all airlines, very serious requirements are imposed on the safety of passengers.

So here's to getting boarding pass, passengers are required to comply with strict rules of travel, including the rules for carrying baggage in an aircraft.

This is for the sake of general safety on board and in flight.

The rules are the same for everyone, and do not depend on whether you are going on a business trip or on vacation to warm countries, flying in business class or having a seat in economy class.

Summing up, I’ll say that for absolutely all passengers, a flight involves a set of certain organizational issues that can be considered a kind of unspoken payment for the comfort and speed of the flight.

And one of the most important organizational issues is the transportation of luggage. It should be approached responsibly and carefully in order to avoid unnecessary problems in the future.

The main nuances of carrying luggage on an airplane

First of all, it should be noted that the baggage rules are not a single world standard. They may well vary depending on several factors.

Firstly, it makes a huge difference which country you fly to, as different countries have their own standards and regulations.

Secondly, the baggage rules are affected by the choice of the airline whose services you decide to use. In addition, the class of ticket you are purchasing (for example, business class or economy class) and the type of aircraft provided to you in the matter of the allowed weight of your baggage.

Advice

To avoid unnecessary difficulties when checking in baggage, you should clarify all of the above points even when buying a ticket. Also, find out the rules for carrying non-standard baggage, if any.

First of all, you should find out which of the things you want to take on the road can be transported by plane and what is prohibited.

But even regardless of the differences, all airlines have general baggage rules that are used all over the world.

General rules for carrying baggage on an airplane

First- you need to make sure that the suitcase or bag that you check in in separate places during check-in must be solid (without any cuts or slots) and in good order so that your belongings, as well as the belongings of your neighboring luggage, are not damaged during transportation.

To be sure, you can wrap your luggage with cling film yourself or carry out this procedure right at the airport for a nominal amount. We recommend doing this! This will not only increase the chances that you will deliver your luggage in one piece, but it will definitely not get dirty or torn. new suitcase or a bag.

Second- each airline has rules governing the weight and size of unchecked (hand luggage) and checked baggage. If you exceed one or the other parameter, you will have to pay extra.

Third- it should be remembered that there is a certain list of things that are strictly prohibited for transportation on an airplane. Not in luggage, not in hand luggage!

What you can not take on a plane in luggage:

  • Corrosive and caustic substances. These include: alkalis, acids, mercury, as well as devices containing it, batteries with liquid cells.
  • Any type of gases. These include: flammable, non-flammable, liquefied, compressed and poisonous.
  • Solids and liquids that may ignite. These include: lighters and matches, paint, solvent, as well as other paint and varnish products. Lighter refill fluid, spontaneously combustible substances, substances that, in contact with water, emit flammable gases and other flammable substances and objects.
  • Oxidizing substances such as peroxides or bleaching powder
  • Any explosive items. These include: pistols and other firearms, flares, fireworks, ammunition, including empty shells and detonators;
  • radioactive substances;
  • Toxic, infectious and poisonous substances. These include: herbicides, insect repellents, laboratory materials with live viruses, etiology items;
  • magnetized substances;
  • Briefcases and suitcases with built-in alarm devices;
  • Small tools for personal movement operating on lithium batteries;

And other dangerous substances, objects and cargoes that can be used as a weapon to attack passengers, the crew of an aircraft, as well as posing a threat to the flight of an aircraft.

In addition, according to transportation rules It is not recommended to put in common (checked) baggage:

  • jewelry
  • precious metals
  • securities
  • keys
  • money
  • fragile items
  • perishable products

Leave these items at home or take them with you. hand luggage!

Hand luggage and total baggage weight

There is also such a thing as hand luggage on the plane.

These are, as a rule, small bags that are allowed to be carried in the cabin.

Of course, the rules for carrying things in hand luggage are even stricter. These restrictions and measures are intended to ensure the safety of the aircraft.

Yes, most airlines not allowed to carry hand luggage:

  • Long scissors and knives (even nail scissors can be taken from you)
  • Knitting needles
  • Corkscrews
  • Hypodermic needles (except for certain prescribed cases)
  • Razors and other piercing and cutting objects

In addition, there are certain restrictions on the carriage of liquids in hand luggage, which include:

  • Shampoos
  • Sprays
  • Mascaras
  • cream
  • Water and other drinks

According to the rules, these liquids can only be taken on a plane in small quantities (up to 100 ml) and only in sealed packages (the exact requirements are imposed directly by the airline). The exception is liquid medicines and baby food required in flight.

Also, liquids and items purchased in duty-free shops do not fall under these rules. (Duty Free - Duty Free)

If we talk about the weight of hand luggage and luggage, there are also restrictions here. For hand luggage, as a rule, limits are set from 7 to 15 kg per 1 piece. Whereas the weight of luggage on the plane is calculated on average from 20 to 30 kg.

No charge additional fee and in excess of the free baggage allowance (20 kg), a passenger can take into the cabin of the aircraft:

  • Briefcase or handbag
  • Folder for papers
  • Cane
  • Crutches and a wheelchair when transporting a passenger with reduced mobility
  • Bouquet of flowers
  • Outerwear and a suit in a suitcase
  • In-Flight Reading Prints
  • Mobile phone
  • Camcorder and camera
  • Laptop, tablet and other electronic devices
  • Baby cradle when transporting a child

These things are not subject to registration, are not presented for weighing and are not marked with tags.

If you need to transport a non-standard, large and fragile item, such as a musical cello, please contact the representatives of the air carrier with questions. The same swings sports equipment, medical equipment and other things not included in our lists.

Any movement is associated with risks, therefore, it requires compliance with specific safety standards and rules. Even hand luggage on an airplane can become a threat to the life of passengers if it contains items prohibited for transportation. Before embarking on a journey, you should assess the degree of need for each piece of hand luggage on board.

Traveling with and without luggage

Going on vacation or on a long trip, a person will take with him a lot of different things necessary for the trip: change and warm clothes, personal hygiene items and cosmetics, medicines, gadgets (phone, tablet, laptop), jewelry, sometimes musical instruments.

If a whole family flies on a tour by an airliner, then the volume of things increases. For children, you will have to grab toys, and for the smallest - strollers (cradles). Most things are placed in suitcases and travel bags. When sorting things by containers, you need to take into account the amount of luggage. If you don’t need it in the cabin, it’s better to immediately check it in the luggage compartment, leaving only the essentials with you.

Note! The carriage of any hand luggage on an aircraft has restrictions stipulated by the rules of airlines. They may differ slightly from each other, but the list of prohibitions for carry-on baggage is more impressive than for the main baggage.

In advance, you should familiarize yourself with the recommendations of air carriers and take into account the requirements for hand luggage, so as not to throw away “extra” things later. This will make it possible to immediately check them in as baggage, leaving with you only the necessary items that correspond to the list.

But what if they go on a flight light - only with hand luggage (on a short business trip), taking a laptop or tablet for entertainment? Here you will have to make a more careful selection of things that you will carry with you. There are restrictions on what you can take, not only in terms of items, but also in the size of hand luggage, as well as in the number of kg.

Deciding what to take with you on the plane, everyone proceeds from their own needs. Not all hygiene products may be needed on board. Those traveling with suitcases will leave them in checked baggage. A traveler with carry-on luggage can purchase these items at the point of final arrival.

At any airport there is a duty-free zone, which is located between the checkpoint and runway. Something can be bribed there (an extra amount of liquid or food for the journey). These purchases should be taken to the salon in unopened packaging.

Important! When determining what can be carried in hand luggage, the customs rules of the country to which the traveler is sent are also taken into account. Many states have their own idea of what is allowed. Upon arrival, the passenger will also have to go through security, and it is not a fact that they will be able to carry everything that is included in the luggage (even if it was bought at Duty Free).

In order to save money, it is better to clarify all the nuances of the upcoming flight in advance so as not to take prohibited items with you. When deciding what is allowed to be carried in the cabin, the volume is also taken into account. If 2 people are traveling with 1 hand luggage, then the amount is calculated per bag and not per number of travelers. Therefore, it is better for a couple to take 2 small luggage, completing everything that is permitted.

What not to take on an airplane

Going on the road, just go to the website of the airline whose services you plan to use, and decide on the list of what you cannot carry on the plane. This will make it easier to select items that are considered hand luggage.

  • It is forbidden not only to carry weapons with you in the cabin of the aircraft - you cannot take them in luggage unless there is an appropriate permit. This category includes both firearms and piercing and cutting objects;
  • If the toy (as well as the lighter) is an imitation weapon, it is best to leave it in the luggage of the plane. They will not let you on board with these things, but in further journey it is undesirable to leave the baby without favorite toys;
  • What should not be in hand luggage is piercing and cutting objects- penknives and kitchen knives, nail scissors, metal nail files, sets of sewing needles and knitting needles, corkscrew, medical needles, razors. Even toys with sharp edges can pose a health hazard to passengers, so they are not allowed on the plane;
  • You can not carry in hand luggage (and even in the luggage compartment) flammable liquids and solids, explosives and radioactive, oxidizing and poisonous, as well as magnetized things. This is a priori prohibited on an airplane, since such luggage can cause a plane crash;
  • There is also a restriction on the carriage of medicines, both in checked baggage and in hand luggage. You can not transport psychotropic and narcotic substances, as well as poisons;
  • It is better to carry working power tools and carpentry equipment, sports equipment (bats, clubs, rackets, skateboards, skis and sticks for them, skates, etc.), fishing rods in your luggage on the plane. Even umbrellas and canes with sharp points can be dangerous;
  • Do not take perishable products in your hand luggage on the plane. You should familiarize yourself in advance with the list of items that are allowed to be taken on board for a snack.

In some cases, it is allowed to carry some items from the above list. So, a metal nail file can be replaced with a soft version with rounded edges. If a sharp razor cannot be taken on a plane in hand luggage, then a razor with removable heads and an electric razor are allowed. It is better to take folding umbrellas - they are more convenient, more compact and safer.

If a cane is an essential item, and it is difficult for a passenger to move without it, then, if there is an appropriate medical certificate, they will be allowed to carry it into the cabin. The same applies to medicines, without which a person cannot do without in flight (tablets, liquid medicines, injections). Their need must be documented, then the medicines will be allowed to be carried in hand luggage.

Important! By figuring out what not to take on a plane, passengers will make their journey easier. In case of detection of items that are prohibited to be transported, they will be seized and sent to a container at the checkpoint. Either you hand over everything superfluous in your luggage (or give it to those who are seeing you off), or you are not allowed on board the aircraft.

Things and items of hand luggage

When deciding what to take with you on a plane, you should not act on the principle of “I carry everything with me”. At hand should be things that are difficult to do without in flight.

  • If you have to constantly carry medicines with you, which are taken regularly at certain hours, then their presence in your purse is allowed for medical reasons. Quick aid preparations for people suffering from a number of diseases (heart disease, hypertensive patients, asthmatics, etc.) are also considered permitted items;
  • Healthy people can also bring an “emergency” first aid kit, including publicly available antispasmodics, analgesics, antipyretics, cold and cough remedies, absorbents, and motion sickness medications. It is allowed to bring on board brilliant green and iodine in special tubes-pencils;
  • If you are traveling with children, be sure to take wet wipes. Try to keep them without a strong smell - there may be allergy sufferers next to you in the cabin;
  • It is allowed to carry liquids packaged in 100 ml containers in hand luggage on the plane. If there is no suitable volume, you should not take a 200 ml container half filled. The restriction does not apply to the water itself or drinks, but to the volume of containers. In this case, it should be taken into account that the category of liquids also includes creams, gels, lotions, mascaras. Personal hygiene items include toothpaste, mouth freshener, and shampoo;

  • Is it possible to carry food on the plane if they are fed during the flight? Most airlines allow you to bring food with you. They should not be loose, greasy, strong-smelling and perishable. They should be packed in transparent, lidded containers, which will facilitate the inspection procedure;
  • You can carry an inflatable neck pillow with you. It will provide comfort during a long journey;
  • Jewelry should not be carried in luggage, which can be accidentally lost. So it is better to put them in hand luggage;
  • It is also better to keep a mobile phone, tablet, camera with you in order to exclude their accidental breakage;
  • No one sends money and documents to the luggage compartment - they are personal items and are always kept with you (in a men's purse or a handbag).

Before deciding what you can take with you on the plane and what you can’t carry, you should clarify this point again immediately before departure - suddenly there are new rules. Situations may arise that tighten restrictions on the carriage of a number of items in the cabin. As happened during the Sochi Olympics - then the taboo in Russia was imposed on all types of liquids.

What does not apply to hand luggage

In addition to things that fill hand luggage, it is allowed to take other items on board the aircraft. They are listed as personal items and do not require a carriage charge. They are not included in the list of what is forbidden to take into the salon.

  • These are gadgets (tablet, camera, etc.) that are carried separately and are not checked in as luggage. So, a laptop packed in a briefcase is not considered hand luggage. This creates additional convenience - you can shift some of the items into such a bag;
  • Personal belongings also include warm clothes, which should be taken to the salon for those who do not like the coolness of air conditioners;
  • There will always be books and magazines that will help you spend time on a long flight;
  • Folding umbrellas, handbags - these are exclusively personal items that can be taken on a plane without any problems;
  • Traveling disabled people are concerned about the question of whether it is possible to take canes, crutches, strollers on the plane. Yes, these items are personal items and are allowed to be brought into the cabin;
  • For the convenience of parents flying with a child, you can take a cradle with you (it is considered a personal item). So it will be more convenient for the mother, and the baby is provided with a restful sleep. The stroller is checked in as luggage at the gangway;

  • On a long flight, blankets and pillows, which are also categorized as personal items and not hand luggage, may come in handy. Therefore, they can be carried into the cabin without any problems;
  • Valuable and fragile items that cannot be transported in luggage compartment(expensive musical instruments of the allowed weight and dimensions), you are allowed to take them on board the aircraft.

Note! The above list of things that can be considered personal is conditional. And although a camera, tablet, warm clothes and other items are not subject to labeling, not all airlines allow them to free transportation if the items are not packed in a bag. Sometimes paying for additional "baggage" can cost half the cost of the plane ticket itself.

Parameters defining the load

It is not enough to know what you can take in your hand luggage - some parameters should be taken into account. The baggage allowance is allowed per 1 purchased ticket. Each cargo is subject not only to inspection, but also to weighing and measurements. For the luggage compartment, their own standards are defined, for the carriage of hand luggage - their own.

Note! For each passenger in the cabin there is 1 free place for hand luggage (in business class - 2 places). It has a certain volume, so when buying a travel bag, you need to take this into account. During the inspection, parameters are measured on a special frame. If hand luggage (including wheels and handles) does not fit into the test volumes, it will not be possible to take it into the cabin and will have to be checked in.

This should be taken into account when buying a travel bag or backpack. The maximum allowable amount of baggage is determined by the airline whose services you will use. IN different aircraft Dimensions of compartments for hand luggage may vary. This point must be clarified with the airline when choosing a bag for hand luggage.

The weight of the luggage is also important, which determines how much you can take with you. The nominal value of kg is determined by the airlines. Overloading involves a surcharge. The maximum possible weight for things not related to carry-on baggage and allowed to be carried in the cabin should not exceed 32 kg.

Important! Before heading to the airport, weigh everything that you plan to take with you on your trip so that there are no misunderstandings at the terminal. The weight and dimensions of the luggage should allow you to put the bag on the shelf on your own, without stress, without resorting to outside help.

It was mentioned above that vials for liquids should not exceed 100 ml. The exception is bottles with baby food, which the baby will need in flight. For liquids, you should purchase a special travel kit, where bottles of the required sizes are already packed in a plastic bag. The total recommended volume for transportation is 1 liter.

The stationery sells handy zippered files that can easily hold small vials of liquids. Having packed all the bottles in such a transparent bag, it will be easier to pass through the inspection. And for the passenger himself, such compactness is very convenient - everything you need will be at hand.

Some airlines set their own restrictions and regulations, which may differ slightly from the standard ones. But one unspoken rule applies everywhere: what more expensive ticket(respectively, the higher the class), the more cargo can be carried in hand luggage for free. But even in business class, the weight of luggage in one hand should not exceed 32 kg, and the sum of 3 dimensions should be within 158 cm. The maximum allowable number of kilograms depends on the chosen airline. Personal belongings of children are allowed in quantities not exceeding 10 kg.

Not everything can fit in your carry-on, but traveling light has its perks. The absence of the main luggage will allow you to save on the budget - you will not have to pay for a place in the luggage compartment. You also don’t have to wait for luggage to be issued upon arrival at your destination, and worry about the condition in which it flew (and whether it arrived at all). Things taken to the salon are always at hand and are guaranteed not to be lost. The main thing is to take into account all the requirements of airlines and know what is forbidden to be carried on an airplane in hand luggage and what is not. Those things that had to be left at home are not a problem to bribe on the spot.

Before flying, many people wonder if it is possible to take food on the plane with them. This topic is especially of concern to allergy sufferers, parents with small children and holders of budget tickets. Airlines do not prohibit eating their own products on board if they meet their requirements. Before the flight, you need to familiarize yourself in detail with what you can take with you from food.

Why you should take food

In some cases, food must be taken on the plane because there is none in the cabin. Low-cost companies such as Pegasus Airlines, WizzAir, and air carriers that provide tickets at a reduced cost (promotional fares) save on the service, so they do not feed their passengers. In this case, taking food with you is a must, especially on a long flight.

In many airlines, the food is not very tasty, there is no choice, and the number of dishes is limited. The products lack salt and other spices, so passengers sometimes refuse them. And some people do not fill up on the proposed set of products, and they need additional food.

Parents with small children need to take special food with them on the plane. Babies eat much more often than adults and need water, cereals, mashed potatoes and other foods throughout the flight.

Another category of passengers who require their own products are allergy sufferers. People with health problems carefully monitor their diet. Foods on the airliner's menu can be life-threatening, so it's important for allergy sufferers to know what to take with them.

Customs restrictions of different countries

Passengers who do not know whether a certain product can be transported to another country may have problems with customs control. The list of products that can be checked in as baggage is much larger than the list of products that are allowed in hand luggage. We must not forget that there are restrictions at customs. Those products that can be freely transported within the country may be banned in the territory of another state. Their weight should not exceed the weight of hand luggage (from 5 to 10 kg).

Country restrictions:

  1. European Union. It is forbidden to transport meat and dairy products to EU countries. They are perishable and have a favorable environment for the reproduction of microorganisms. Such processes in products can cause outbreaks of infections. An exception is infant formula. Customs allows passengers with lobsters, oysters, clams, snails, fish and fish products;
  2. USA. At the airports of this country, passengers will not be allowed to pass who will take with them sweets with liquor, home-made preparations (cucumbers, tomatoes, mushrooms, lecho), fish, black caviar over 125 g, certain fruits and vegetables. Many farm products are also banned: fresh, smoked, canned meat, dairy products. It is allowed to carry canned food, seasonings, olive oil, biscuits, sweets, hard cheese, dried fruits, powdered drinks, tea in factory packaging, coffee, nuts, rice, pasta;
  3. Thailand. Durian fruit is not allowed to be exported because of the specific smell. Other exotic fruits can only be carried in the luggage compartment. Only those passengers who bought fruits in Duty Free will be allowed on the plane. Meat and meat products cannot be brought into the country;
  4. Great Britain. It is forbidden to import products that are made from animals and plants listed in the Red Book. Entry is possible only for those passengers who have the appropriate permission;
  5. Israel. Some types of fruits, fresh and frozen meat and meat products cannot be imported. Skip alcohol and food for children;
  6. China. Violation of certain laws is punishable death penalty, so you need to seriously approach the study of the orders of this country. You can not import: fruits, eggplant, tomatoes, paprika, chili, bell pepper, products from animals and plants. It is strictly forbidden to import food from epidemically dangerous countries.

Important! Periodically, different countries impose quarantine on certain types of vegetables, fruits, nuts and tea. Passengers need to know what can and cannot be taken. They need to follow the innovations in the list of permitted products of the state to which they are sent.

What products can be taken from DutyFree

Every traveler looks into a duty free shop, but not everyone knows what products can be purchased there. It is allowed to take on board the aircraft any product purchased and sealed in Duty Free. For a fee, sellers pack them in accordance with the rules of airlines. The check must be kept if there is a transplant in another country (it says exactly where the item was purchased). You cannot open the package with liquid products until the end of the flight, so you will not be able to eat such food on the plane.

All EU countries, except the Netherlands, allow liquids purchased in the duty-free zone outside the European Union to be carried in hand luggage when transferring on their territory. When transplanted in one of the countries of the political association, such products begin to be subject to the rules at the place of stay.

When buying products in duty-free shops, you need to be aware of the restrictions in the country where you are staying. For example, alcohol over 3 liters cannot be imported into Russia.

How to carry liquids

Passengers often do not know whether it is possible to take liquid products, in what quantity and how to carry them. List of liquids that are prohibited to be taken on board the aircraft if the volume of the container containing them is more than 100 ml:

  • jelly;
  • jam;
  • pate;
  • sour cream;
  • sauce;
  • oil;
  • cheese (camembert, mozzarella, ricotta, feta, brie);
  • cottage cheese;
  • canned food;
  • aspic;
  • confiture;
  • pate;
  • cottage cheese;
  • yogurt;
  • chocolate paste.

In order to avoid controversial situations, it is desirable that the volume be indicated on the container. There should be no more than 10 such jars. They must be packed in a transparent bag with a capacity of up to 1 liter. One person can have only one such package. It must be shown to security personnel separately. If the products are in solid packages, then the security may be interested in the contents, so it is better to leave such things in the luggage of the aircraft. Pre-flight control will confiscate any products with a capacity of more than 100 ml, so transporting 20 ml of water in a 200 ml jar will not work. These rules also apply to frozen liquids. Almost all airlines offer their passengers various drinks during the flight. However, there are also those in which you have to pay for every glass of water. In this case, instead of liquid products, people take an empty bottle with them. You can fill it with water at some airports and quench your thirst if necessary.

What food to take

Each airline has its own list of prohibited products. Somewhere it is more, somewhere less. Before the flight, you need to familiarize yourself with the rules and find out what food is allowed to take. This is especially true for products of animal origin. When crossing the border, you need to find out if meat can be transported, since in many countries it is prohibited.

List of products that are allowed to be taken on board:

  • dried fruits;
  • chocolate;
  • cookie;
  • peanut butter;
  • nuts;
  • fruits;
  • sandwiches;
  • bars;
  • chips;
  • drying;
  • gingerbread;
  • waffles;
  • sausages and sausages.

It is forbidden to take a knife into the cabin of the aircraft, so the products must be washed well and cut at home before going to the airport. It is undesirable to take strong-smelling products with you. If they were taken, then good packaging is required. Products should not be perishable and crumble heavily. On the liner you can take a vegetable salad with you. Sunflower oil for dressing must be packaged in accordance with the rules for liquid products.

In order not to take water with you on board the airliner, you can take a few fruits. These products quench thirst well and are allowed in almost all airlines. Along with fruits and vegetables, you can carry sauces in an appropriate container. Passengers who bring items such as jelly pie may not be allowed through by security due to improperly packaged liquid.

When choosing hand luggage, you need to consider its size and weight. Some airlines allow you to take small handbags with you, which fit very little food. These conditions affect the choice of food, so before buying tickets, you need to familiarize yourself with the rules of the company in detail and find out if you can bring certain types of food.

How to eat on the plane for babies

Parents with young children who eat between 6 and 12 meals a day are worried about taking food on a plane. Air carriers meet such passengers and do not apply strict restrictions when transporting children's products. In general, food and drink for babies under 2 years of age is not included in the established general rules for carrying food and liquids in hand luggage on an airplane. They are included in a separate list, in which it is allowed to take the amount of food necessary for the entire flight, including transfers. The attendants warm up adapted milk mixtures, vegetable purees and cereals.

It is allowed to take baby food, fruits, juices and other products for children on the plane. When transplanting, excess food is recommended to be packed in luggage. Airlines adjust to passengers. For example, during a flight that lasts more than 3 hours in economy class and more than 1 hour in business class, Aeroflot offers its customers with babies to eat at the time they want. For this you need to call service center companies 36 hours before the flight or immediately when buying tickets to announce the list of necessary products. Order code special food for children under 2 years old - CHML, for babies - BBML.

Note! For infant formula, medicines (with a doctor's note), and diet foods, take a transparent bag. In case of suspicion, customs officials may ask passengers to open the products and taste the contents.

  1. The amount of alcoholic products allowed for transportation is determined by the airline. In addition to her requirements, you need to study the laws of the country you are going to when taking a few bottles of wine. Each state has its own rules for bringing alcohol. Its degree should not exceed 70% because in this case alcohol falls into the category of combustible substances, and it will be confiscated;
  2. During the purchase of a ticket in almost any airline, you can order a menu of the desired products. The aviation cuisine of many carriers has an average of 15-20 types of food sets. All passengers can use the service completely free of charge and choose the appropriate in-flight meals;
  3. During a long flight, perishable products must be transported in thermal bags. If there are none, then it is better to freeze such food before traveling;
  4. You can take items such as sucking candy and chewing gum with you on the plane. When pressure changes during takeoff and landing, they will help to avoid stuffy ears.

Additional Information! For gourmets, there are special ratings that highlight the airlines with the most delicious products on board. Turkish Delight is one of the airlines that has chefs on some of its flights. One of the best organizations is Emirates. The employees of this air carrier take into account the cuisine of the host countries and feed their passengers with traditional food and products.

Aeroflot is Russian airline with delicious meals on board. The menu is updated monthly. The desired products can be ordered not only by parents for their children, but also by vegetarians, passengers on a diet, diabetics or people who restrict their diet due to religious beliefs.

Before flying, every traveler should ask himself the question: “Am I violating the rules of the country or the airport when I bring this or that product?”. Compliance with the established procedures will make the flight comfortable.

The plane is strictly regulated. Everything that does not meet the accepted standards of transportation and safety requirements is thrown away when passing control. To avoid problems, you need to know all the rules of transportation very well. There are not so many basic requirements that a passenger should be familiar with.

What is hand luggage?

These are things that are not checked in as baggage, but are taken with you on board the aircraft. Maybe the passenger will take one large bag or two or three smaller ones. It doesn't even have to be bags. Hand luggage can be bags, backpacks, baskets, etc. The main requirement is that they do not exceed the established norms of weight and dimensions. Attention! Clothing on a passenger, including a jacket or a fur coat when flying in winter time does not apply to hand luggage.

Options

Each airline sets the size of hand luggage on the plane independently, so you should pay attention to this section on the ticket. For example, Lufthansa has defined the following standards: 55 x 40 x 23 cm, while Wizz Air has these parameters much less: 42 x 32 x 25 cm. It is most often assumed that the dimensions of the bag in the sum of three dimensions do not exceed 115 cm.

The allowable weight of carry-on luggage on the plane also fluctuates. On average, a passenger has the right to take on board a cargo weighing 8-13 kg. For example, according to the rules of the Aeroflot airline, hand luggage on an airplane cannot exceed 10 kg.

Another important point: 2 or 3 bags, overall dimensions which do not exceed the established dimensions and weight, will be considered one piece of hand luggage.

To make sure that everything is correct, it is advisable to weigh the cargo and measure its dimensions. Usually, airports have special scales and forms so that passengers can independently check the compliance of bags with the requirements.

The number of pieces of hand luggage may vary depending on the class. In budget salons, of course, minimal opportunities. So, for economy passengers, 1 place for hand luggage is offered, for first and business class - 2.

How cheaper ticket or the airline, the more meticulously the employees inspect the passenger's belongings. There are also carriers that separate hand luggage into large and small. There is a small fee for the first one.

What to do if the norm is exceeded?

With too much weight, you can shift some of the things from the bag into the pockets of the jacket. As already mentioned, the weight and dimensions of clothing are not taken into account anywhere. Therefore, some little things can be safely moved closer to the body. Now they even produce special jackets for travelers with many large pockets. They can hold up to 10 kg of cargo.

If the size of hand luggage on the plane is exceeded, then it will be much more difficult to solve the problem. Well, if the bag is able to decrease due to special "lightning". Then you can try to "squeeze" its dimensions. Another option is to try to sort things into packages.

What can you take on a plane

So, large heavy bags are checked in as luggage on the plane, hand luggage is taken with you.

You can put everything in the bag, except for prohibited items. However, some recommendations do exist. First, you should always remember that luggage is sometimes lost. Of course, he is later found, but until the court and the case, a lot of time passes. Even if this hasn't happened for many flights, there is no guarantee that it won't happen now. Therefore, it is safest to take all important documents (passport, insurance certificate, etc.) with you.

You also need to put in hand luggage everything that should always be at hand, for example, medicines. This also includes essentials and personal hygiene products.

It is also better to take various valuables, jewelry and digital equipment into the cabin for safety reasons. In this case, expensive things will not be lost or broken.

Fragile goods also have a place in hand luggage. Luggage handling is far from reverent, so various figurines and souvenirs can easily be broken if carelessly thrown during loading.

Thus, hand luggage on an airplane is a place for important documents, essentials and material values.

What not to take with you

The common sense of the passenger is quite capable of suggesting which items are undesirable in the bag. But still, attention should be paid to this issue. So, hand luggage on the plane: what you can not take on board:

Transportation of liquid

This point deserves a separate discussion. The rules for carrying liquids have been tightened significantly since 2006. Increased precautions are due to the fact that terrorists often try to carry explosive substances on board the aircraft in this way. Hand luggage on an airplane may contain liquids if all packing rules are followed. However, there are many nuances to pay attention to.

What is the liquid for airport employees:

  1. Cosmetic preparations: lipstick, perfume, creams, etc.
  2. Toiletries: shaving foam, toothpaste, deodorant, oil, etc.
  3. Foods and drinks: caviar, cheese, canned food, homemade preparations, jams, soups, etc.

Everything that belongs to this category must be packed in a transparent plastic bag measuring 20 x 20 cm. It is imperative that it is closed. The total volume of all liquids (including packages) must not exceed 1 liter. Each "liquid" separately - no more than 100 ml. A passenger can have only one such package. It is better to buy it in advance, because prices at airports are much higher than in ordinary stores. And it is also desirable to lay the contents not at the last moment, because it will not be possible to shift the excess, everything will have to be thrown away.

The exception to the rule is medications and baby food (if the passenger is with a small child) - they do not need to be packed. However, airport security personnel have the right to open the jar and taste its contents.

Transportation of products

It is allowed to take food on board the aircraft. You don't even need special packaging. However, if the flight is international, then you need to know that some countries prohibit the import of certain categories of products, most often meat and dairy products. This rule applies throughout the European Union. Therefore, a sausage stick would not be the best solution. It is better to use fruits, vegetables and sweets as a snack. It is undesirable to take with you products with a strong or pungent odor, as well as strongly crumbling.

You should also remember that yogurt, milk, cheese, etc. are considered liquids, so they must be specially packaged.

Goods from Duty Free

There are practically no restrictions on them, the sale is free. However, it is necessary to take into account the peculiarities of the legislation of the country where you plan to enter. Therefore, you should not stuff your bag with various little things, because at the entrance to the country you will also have to go through control, after which the excess can go to the trash can. For example, goods from Duty Free are subject to import regulations for alcohol and tobacco products. In Russia, this is 2 packs of cigarettes and 2 liters of products containing alcohol.

It will be more difficult for those who fly with a transfer. There will be twice as many control procedures. It also means that what was bought at the Duty Free of the previous airport becomes the personal belongings of the passenger. Therefore, they will be subject to the general rules for hand luggage on the plane.

Also, all drinks purchased in Duty Free continue to be liquids, therefore they are packed in a transparent plastic bag. However, it will not stack with the one that already exists.

You must keep the receipt, because only he can confirm that the purchases were made in Duty Free, and not elsewhere. Control officers have the right to demand it in order to verify the contents of the package with purchases.

Addition to hand luggage

Some airlines have gone to meet the passengers and somewhat softened the rules. For some time now, an addition to the existing hand luggage has been allowed. The following items were included in the category of items not taken into account:

  • 1 umbrella or cane.
  • 1 binoculars or an oversized camera (a tripod must be checked in as luggage).
  • 1 laptop (together with a special bag).
  • 1 bag with goods from Duty Free.
  • A handbag, or a folder for papers, or a diplomat. You can take one thing. The size should not exceed 30 x 40 x 10 cm.
  • A small amount of press to read during the flight. It can be 2-3 newspapers, magazines or a book.

This is a selection of the most common items, full list permitted additions must be checked directly with the carrier. It should also be remembered that a number of companies have abandoned this innovation, so absolutely all the things that a passenger takes with him will be considered hand luggage.

Hand luggage on the plane. Where to put?

Light bags and clothing are best placed on a shelf above passenger seat. Heavy hand luggage on the plane is placed on the floor, under the seat in front of the seat in front of you. It is forbidden to leave your belongings in the aisle or at the exit. Also, do not leave bags in the tail section or in the toilet. All belongings of the person making the flight must be next to him. Press and snacks can be placed on the passenger table.

It should be remembered that all electronic equipment (phone, tablet, laptop, etc.) must be turned off. Therefore, it is better to remove all temptations as far as possible. Devices, especially those with Internet enabled or an active SIM card, emit and receive digital signals that can interfere with pilots' communication lines and interfere with the normal operation of equipment in the cockpit.

Hand luggage on an airplane is a real headache for most tourists returning from vacation. For many passengers, the very concept of "hand luggage" raises many questions. Unfortunately, not all passengers know what is the difference between hand luggage and luggage, and even more so from an accessory to hand luggage (accessory to hand luggage is a very new concept for modern civil aviation).

This post will be a continuation of useful articles about tricks independent travel. Earlier, I wrote in detail about how to look for cheap flights, what is travel insurance and how travel insurance differs from insurance for traveling abroad, in this post we will talk in detail about hand luggage and how to fly on planes without overpaying for overweight.

What is hand luggage

Here's what Wikipedia says about the concept of hand luggage:

Hand luggage is the cargo that a passenger takes with him on board a passenger vehicle (in our case, this is an airplane, but vehicle can be anything), without handing over to the luggage compartment.

As you can see, hand luggage is all that the passenger takes with him on board the aircraft. Many people think so, but if you look more closely at the rules for transporting goods on passenger aircraft, it turns out that everything that is on you, including outerwear and the contents of pockets, is no longer hand luggage, but is called personal use and is actually not taken into account. And there are a lot of such interesting moments in the rules of transportation, read about it below.

Rules for carrying hand luggage on an airplane

As I mentioned earlier, most airlines allow overall size carry-on luggage is the same, because most airlines have the same aircraft models and the same luggage racks.

The allowable size of hand luggage, in most cases, is: 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm or 115 cm (in the sum of 3 dimensions). It should be noted here that skis 115 centimeters long will most likely not be allowed to be carried on board, but they will be forced to be checked in, since there is simply nowhere to attach them in the cabin, well, not in the aisle to carry them.

With the determination of the dimensions of hand luggage, passengers always have difficulties, for which many airlines install special templates at airports that imitate the allowed sizes, and everyone can check their things using these templates.

Novice travelers always have the question of what is the best way to pack things that fly in the cabin. I have tried many options from a reliable suitcase to a comfortable backpack and can give some advice.

  • a carry-on suitcase is very convenient if you are transporting really valuable and fragile things (a priceless Chinese vase from the Qing Dynasty, fragile Murano glass figurines, etc.). In this case, the "armor" of the walls of the suitcase is justified, in all other cases, the suitcase is too inconvenient for hand luggage;
  • carry-on bag is perfect solution, it can be tamped down and thus it will pass any “dimensional” control, but it can be very inconvenient to carry such a bag at the airport. If the bag has wheels, then this option is quite suitable;
  • a hand luggage backpack is the most convenient thing to carry things on an airplane, it perfectly passes all the “size-to-size” controls (tested on a 45 liter backpack), it is easy to carry and your hands are always free. I recommend this option to everyone.

Duty Free items in hand luggage

When buying goods in duty-free shops (Duty Free) on the territory of the airport (in the so-called "sterile zone"), you should take into account the weight of purchases. The stores themselves do not impose any restrictions on the sale of goods (buy at least half of the store).

Theoretically, Duty Free items are personal items and do not count as hand luggage, but when boarding an aircraft, it can be difficult (if you have too many Duty Free purchases), so you should be rational in everything. It should also be remembered that it is required to transport goods from Duty Free in special containers (in which the goods are packed in the store) and not to break the packaging throughout the flight. It is advisable to keep a cash receipt for your purchase throughout the flight, it may come in handy.

If there were no problems with boarding the plane and your purchases from Duty Free are flying with you, then you may be subject to customs restrictions at the arrival camp. Each country has clear rules on the possibility of duty-free import of goods, and some (mostly Muslim countries) even prohibit the import of the most popular Duty Free goods (liquor). As a rule, customs "give approval" for the import of 1 liter of strong alcohol and 1 block of cigarettes, for a larger volume you need to pay a fee. Each country has its own rules, so you should clarify this before your trip.

If you are flying with a transfer, then you should remember that you will have to go through the security control procedure again and here your Duty Free package can be regarded as hand luggage, and not as personal items. In these cases, you must present a receipt from the Duty Free store of the first airport (where you made the purchase) and, of course, the goods from Duty Free must be appropriately packaged.

Accessory for hand luggage

Now the most interesting. Not so long ago, some airlines introduced a new concept for passenger aviation - “Accessory for hand luggage”, for most passengers this is a real salvation from overweight and that's why. Some things go beyond the concept of hand luggage and fall into accessories for hand luggage, then I will give an approximate list (it may differ for each airline, and for low-cost airlines it may be completely absent). Now the passenger has hand luggage with a regulated weight and size and the opportunity to carry on the plane some of the things that were previously considered hand luggage and occupied there most places.

Here is what you can take on a plane as an accessory for hand luggage from Aeroflot:

  • handbag / men's briefcase;
  • folder for papers;
  • umbrella;
  • cane;
  • bouquet of flowers;
  • outerwear;
  • laptop computer, camera, video camera;
  • printed publications for in-flight reading;
  • baby food for the child during the flight;
  • baby cradle when transporting a child;
  • suit in a suitcase;
  • cell phone;
  • crutches;
  • bag with purchases from the Duty Free store.

And again there are several incomprehensible situations, there are indications about a laptop, but there is no indication about Charger, there are instructions about the camera, but you will be forced to hand over the tripod in luggage, etc.

Hand luggage for children

For passengers with small children, carrying things for all children's needs becomes a big problem. Fortunately, most airlines allow you to use an extra piece of hand luggage in a standard size. This rule applies to passengers with children under 2 years of age, if the child has a full ticket and a seat in the cabin, then he has full place for hand luggage.

How and where to place hand luggage on board the aircraft

To place hand luggage on board the aircraft, there are luggage racks above the passenger seats, it is their volume that dictates strict requirements (in terms of weight and size) for passenger hand luggage. If necessary, hand luggage can be placed under the seat in front of the seated passenger (not all seats on the plane have this option).

Many airlines clearly state in their policies that during air travel, the accessory must be placed under the seat of the seat (located in front of you), and all hand luggage must be placed on the shelf (above your seat). Place any things in the aisles of the aircraft or in the space nearby emergency exit- forbidden.

How much hand luggage can I take on a plane

How much hand luggage you can take on a plane depends to a greater extent on the carrier company and on the class of service.

For most airlines, there is the same standard for the number of pieces of hand luggage:

  • economy class - one piece of hand luggage;
  • business class - two pieces of hand luggage;
  • first class - two pieces of hand luggage.

Low-cost airlines stand apart, they may require an additional fee for things in the cabin. Some US and Canadian carriers provide as many as 2 pieces of carry-on baggage when flying in regular economy class.

Liquids in hand luggage

Restrictions on carrying liquids in hand luggage seem to me the most crazy restrictions for passengers on airplanes. Judge for yourself, because all these restrictions on 1 liter of 100 ml. for real "bad guys" it's very simple, just a few people with bad intentions and that's it.

But for law-abiding passengers, these perversions of liquids in hand luggage are a huge inconvenience and additional hassle. It's all because of the September 11, 2001 attacks that completely changed the attitude towards aviation security and now every passenger (including infants with their baby food jars) is considered as a potential terrorist.

The rules for carrying liquids in hand luggage are as follows: a passenger has the right to carry one liter of liquids (in total) in hand luggage, liquids must be placed in a container with a volume not exceeding 100 milliliters. All liquids carried on the plane must be packed in a sealed transparent bag (with a reusable zipper), the size of the bag for liquids should not exceed 20x20 centimeters.

And as always, there are many ambiguities that confuse passengers and cause problems. For example, you will not be allowed to take on board a half-empty tube of toothpaste if its volume is more than 100 ml, for all your objections “There is only half”, there is only one reaction “Not allowed”. Toothpaste is not so pitiful, but what if it's an expensive cream in a 125 ml tube? Anything over 100 ml. will be removed and disposed of.

There are a number of products that do not look like liquids (for example, no reasonable person would call cheese a liquid), but are considered liquids when transported on an airplane:

  • perfumery;
  • shampoos;
  • gels;
  • lotions;
  • sprays;
  • oils;
  • paints;
  • creams;
  • deodorants;
  • shaving foam;
  • ink;
  • lipstick;
  • toothpaste;
  • beverages;
  • syrups;
  • soups;
  • cheeses;
  • canned food;
  • caviar;
  • jam;
  • home preparations.

Thus, it turns out that you can carry caviar and cheese in hand luggage, but not more than 1 lirt (in total), which is divided into 100 ml. containers. A normal person is not able to imagine hard cheese poured into small bottles, and this often causes situations of misunderstanding between passengers and employees at airports.

About cheese in bottles is a joke, but it is desirable that all liquids be in labeled containers, this way you will save yourself unnecessary questions. It should be remembered that airport employees have the right to open any jar or tube and verify the contents, it does not matter what is inside an expensive cream or baby food.

What can be carried in hand luggage

What can you take in hand luggage on a plane? Here it is worth answering the following question for yourself, about the need for things that you drag into the cabin of the aircraft. It’s understandable when you take documents and really valuable things with you, but when people carry things into the cabin that could easily survive the flight in the luggage compartment, the question arises “Why?”. I think that you should take the most necessary and valuable things in your hand luggage, and either put everything else in your luggage, or not take it on a trip at all.

Beverages

Any drinks in glass, plastic or cardboard packages up to 100 ml. can be carried in hand luggage, the requirements for packaging drinks from Duty Free stores are more lenient and are not limited to 100 ml.

You can carry any drinks and alcohol in your hand luggage, however, the strength of alcoholic beverages must be no more than 70%, everything above is considered a combustible substance and is not allowed for transportation in the cabin.

Food and food

There are no special requirements and restrictions for food (should be checked with your airline), if you are taking food within reasonable limits (a sandwich for the road or a few apples). It should be remembered that on the territory of some states there are strict regulations that prohibit the import of meat, dairy and other products. It should also be noted that some products (for example, cheese, yogurt or caviar) are considered liquids, and the volume of the package should not exceed 100 ml.

Here is a list of these products - liquids:

  • caviar;
  • yogurts (regular or drinking);
  • soups;
  • honey, jam;
  • canned food (meat, fish, homemade preparations);
  • products with big amount sauce or gravy.

Some airlines allow the following solid and dry foods to be taken into the cabin:

  • sandwiches;
  • sausages, meatballs, sausages;
  • cookies, chips, bread, waffles;
  • vegetables and fruits;
  • sweets, cakes and pastries.

Electronics and modern gadgets

When going through customs at the airport, you will be asked to take your laptop out of your hand luggage and place it in the basket for later scanning. Laptop, phone, smart phone, etc. may not be taken into account in the weight of hand luggage and be considered personal items, but here you should study the rules of the airline more carefully.

On some flights to the United States, any electronic device larger than a smartphone is not allowed in carry-on baggage.

The following electronic devices can be transported in the aircraft cabin:

  • mobile phone (excluding exploding smartphones samsung galaxy note 7);
  • laptop, tablet, e-book;
  • camera, video camera;
  • MP3, DVD player.

Medications

Medicines and medicines needed on the road can be taken in hand luggage, but please note that you may be asked to prove the need for certain drugs (you should have a doctor's indication that you need to take medicines).

Care accessories

The following personal devices may be carried in hand baggage.

  • a safety razor and replaceable blades for it, as well as an electric razor;
  • hair dryer and other hair styling devices;
  • toothbrush (including electric).

Cosmetics and hygiene products

You can take cosmetic and hygiene products in any (glass, plastic, paper, wood, etc.) packages up to 100 ml in hand luggage.

  • cream, gel;
  • tanning lotion or oil;
  • toothpaste;
  • deodorant (solid, spray, roll-on);
  • hairspray and foam for styling hair;
  • liquid for contact lenses;
  • shampoo, mask, hair balm, etc.

Other things in hand luggage

  • literature and magazines;
  • a picture (its size should not exceed the allowable for hand luggage);
  • crockery, glasses, sets, etc.;
  • musical instrument;
  • a wedding dress and other clothes (it is necessary to carry in a special case - a suitcase, it counts as one
  • piece of hand luggage).

It is important to know some features that may surprise you right at the airport (read the passenger's story in the comments to this post). So, for example, an ordinary skateboard can be regarded as a weapon and will be asked to be checked in. I became interested and I asked the representatives of the airport whether this was true or not, that's what they answered me. You can see the full answer to my letter in the photo.

In accordance with the requirements of aviation security, according to clause 72 of the Order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation dated July 25, 2007 No. 104: “items and substances that can be used as a weapon of attack, but not prohibited for transportation on board the aircraft, are packed and transported in as checked baggage.

All restrictions on the carriage of things in hand luggage can be divided into several groups.

  • prohibited for security reasons - weapons and toys imitating them (firearms, piercing and cutting, etc.), exploding smartphones samsung galaxy note 7, I think everything is clear here;
  • prohibited for the convenience of passengers - everyone wants to bring their own oversized cargo, but no one wants to sit next to a friend who dragged an oversized cargo into the cabin;
  • prohibited for commercial purposes - it is possible to use the aircraft cabin as a "gazelle for transportation", but it is expensive. There is a desire to bring 50 kilograms of mango from Thailand - pay for the excess and take it.

Now let's talk about this in more detail, the recent events with exploding Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones surprised and frightened many. And as a result - a complete ban on the use of this smartphone model on board the aircraft.

Punching and cutting objects, explosive goods and weapons

  • it is forbidden to take firearms and any piercing and cutting objects (knife, corkscrew, razor blades, sharp manicure accessories, etc.) in hand luggage;
  • working tools (screwdrivers, nails, files, drills, etc.);
  • sports equipment (skateboard, roller skates, scooters, baseball bats, etc.).

Electronics and modern gadgets prohibited in hand luggage

After the scandal with the exploding Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphone, many countries banned the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones from being carried on board the aircraft, and the Federal Air Transport Agency went even further and banned this smartphone even from being carried to the airport.

Many airlines have banned carry-on baggage and cargo hold small-sized means for personal transportation on lithium batteries (monowheels, mini-segways, hoverboards, gyro scooters, etc.).

On March 21, 2017, US authorities banned electronic devices from being carried in hand luggage, the ban was imposed on flights from the Middle East and North Africa. Passengers from these countries (Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and UAE) traveling to the United States of America without transfers, it is forbidden to carry laptops, tablets, cameras and other electronics in hand luggage. The United Kingdom has joined this ban.

Food and food

If you managed to carry food and other food products on board the aircraft (some airlines don’t particularly find fault with this), then it’s advisable to destroy it there (eat it), since many countries prohibit the importation of any agricultural products, meat, milk and etc. without proper certifications.

Transportation of hand luggage on the plane, tricks and life hacks

The main life hack “How not to overpay for excess baggage” is to leave everything superfluous at home, but not everyone can give themselves such pleasure - traveling with a half-empty backpack, so I will tell you how I deal with being overweight in my hand luggage.

Usually, I travel with two backpacks, one large (about 45 liters) and the other small (30 liters). At the beginning of your journey, all things (including a 30 liter backpack) fit into a 45 liter one and fly like hand luggage in the cabin. During a long journey, backpacks are filled with all sorts of necessary (and not so) gizmos and on the way back they don’t fit into each other anymore, and this is where you have to think about how to optimize the weight and size of luggage.

Here is a rough list of things to do to reduce the weight of your luggage after a long trip:

Make the most of your body- it sounds strange, but if you understand that an advantage is inevitable, then you can bring some of the things into the cabin on yourself in the literal sense of the word. For example, you can put on warm things from your luggage (it will probably be hot and you will look like a fool), you can put small but heavy souvenirs in your pockets, etc.

If you go even further, you can buy fashionable and very practical clothes from the famous brand SCOTTeVEST. Their signature jackets are specially designed for travelers, top models have more than 40 pockets of all shapes and sizes for different gadgets and devices. With such functionality, all SCOTTeVEST brand clothes look fashionable and modern. Any of their little things, whether it be a cap or shorts, will be in without fail Equipped with storage pockets.

Get rid of everything superfluous- there are things that it makes no sense to bring back and you can get rid of them in a variety of ways, you can simply throw them in the trash, donate them to the natives or sell them off. In my Indian travel, a gift in the form of an ordinary ballpoint pen evoked extremely positive emotions from local children.

Find a travel companion- if you find a fellow traveler who does not have as much luggage as you, then you can always ask for a service. But here you should be very careful and trust the person (and he should also trust you), because where is the guarantee that it may turn out to be in the things you transferred and where is the guarantee that a new acquaintance will return your luggage to you.

Send a piece of luggage by mail- in any country there is a post office and this fact should not be ignored. The cost of sending to Russia will cost some money, but it is much cheaper than the rates for overweight baggage.
