Nearest metro station: Little India.

Chinatown perfect place not only for walking, but also for dinner and buying souvenirs. Prices for souvenirs in Chinatown are much lower than in tourist center Singapore. For example, 5 magnets can be bought for 10 SGD, while one magnet near Marina Bay costs the same 10 SGD. In the evening it is nice to sit in colorful Chinese restaurants.

Singapore attractions on the map

Singapore attractions map in Russian

If you look at the map of Singapore in Russian, it immediately catches your eye that the city is extremely heterogeneous, it is dotted with numerous bays and bays. Singapore has a long coastline, however, only three beaches are suitable for recreation (sandy Palawan, Tanien and Siloso), the rest of the coast is occupied by industrial needs.

Another "trick" on the map of the city of Singapore is compliance with the laws of feng shui. Yes, yes, Singapore is considered the only city in the world, planned in accordance with the ancient doctrine of space. By the way, many are sure that it is the Feng Shui city that owes its rapid economic growth - money, you know, is flowing in the right direction!

Where to stay in Singapore?

All the main attractions of Singapore are located in 3 areas - this is Sentosa entertainment island, an area in the very center of Singapore and Jurong (here you will find two of the most famous park cities - a bird park and a reptile park). Among the areas of Singapore where it is better for a tourist to live:

Singapore riverfront- city center with the best examples of colonial architecture. More precisely, we are talking about two embankments - Boat Quay (a walking place with dozens of restaurants) and Clarke Quay (the center of Singapore's nightlife, and on weekends - also the largest swap meet in the city).

Sentosa Island - accessible on foot, on the moving sidewalks of the Sentosa Boardwalk, or by cable car. It is on Sentosa that Asia's largest aquarium is located. Underwater World, Siloso Fort and Tiger Sky Tower.

Chinatown- one of the most colorful areas Singapore, the real "cultural heart" of the city. Here, next to the giant skyscrapers, traditional Chinese mini-houses side by side, there are markets with antiques, astrologers' offices and all the main shrines of the city: the Hindu Sri Mariamman Temple, the Jamae Chulia Mosque and the Taoist temple Thian Hock Keng.

tanien- with yellow sand, wide beaches (up to 15 meters) and clear water. There is almost no entertainment here, few cafes - mostly fans of secluded romantic getaways come here.

Palawan- here, on a special bridge, you can reach the southernmost part of Asia and take an excellent panoramic picture of the ocean. Lots of rides, an amusement park and plenty of restaurants - perfect place for holidays with children.

Siloso- most party beach, there are many clubs (with separate sunbeds and pools) and extreme entertainment. Entrance to Siloso, like all other beaches in Singapore, is free.
