What can I say about the Baiyoke Sky Hotel in Bangkok?

Our room on the 55th floor of the Sky Zone cost 3100 baht (78 euros) per night.

Despite modern look skyscraper, the rooms are quite worn out by time for their value. Repair would be nice...

…but the rooms are quite spacious in size…

Huge floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows are also pleasing:

Well, the view of Bangkok outside the windows of the Baiyoke Sky Hotel is without comment at all. The neighboring skyscraper looked so low from the window of our room on the 55th floor:

To the left of the skyscraper is visible railroad station Ratchaparok branch of the Airport Link leading to international Airport Suvarnabhumi.

View of Bangkok at breakfast from the windows of the restaurant on the 76th floor:

View from the observation deck on the 77th floor of Bangkok during the day:

View from the open rotating observation deck of Baiyoke Sky night bangkok:

The night view of Bangkok flooded with lights from the height of the 84th floor is impressive. It feels like you have been transported to a city of the future or to another planet... By the way, the observation deck on the 84th floor is designed as something cosmic, with statues of aliens, multi-colored lights, etc.

Baiyoke Sky is one of the top attractions in Bangkok. Located in the heart of Patumwan. The building gained its popularity due to its height, which is 309 meters. To date, Baiyoke Sky is considered the tallest building in everything. It was from him that the world record for base jumping was set.

This masterpiece of architecture was built in 1997. About a hundred people worked on his plan. the best specialists. In a skyscraper 85 floors. Almost all of its walls are expensive advertising surfaces. Baiyoke Sky Hotel is considered the tallest hotel in the South - East Asia. It is located a five minute walk from Ratchaprapore station, or a two minute bus ride. By the way, travel on the latter is absolutely free. The location is very convenient. Nearby are the most interesting architectural monuments that arrived in Bangkok.

So, what to see in Baiyoke Sky?

Starting from the fifth and ending with the 17th floor, this is a parking lot. It is free for guests. We rise above. Six hundred and seventy-three rooms of the world-famous hotel, occupy as many as fifty-two floors (from 22 to 74). Absolutely all rooms are comfortable, with all the necessary amenities, such as: bathroom, kettle, TV, refrigerator, mini-bar and more. Free wireless internet is available throughout the hotel. The windows are amazing beautiful view to the urban landscape. The prices for the rooms vary, but are not completely exorbitant. There are a lot of guests, both tourists and ordinary residents of Bangkok. Rooms must be booked in advance, as there is always a large influx of people in the hotel.

Baiyoke Sky Hotel Standard Room

Even if you are not a hotel guest, you still simply must visit Baiyoke Sky. Entry fee for simple tourist is 300 baht. A visit to the skyscraper is included in the price of some. For this money, the visitor is given a pass through which you can get to the famous observation deck, and also drink any cocktail or drink for free.

Baiyoke Sky has several must-try restaurants. Get ready that the prices in them are an order of magnitude higher than in other similar establishments in the city, but it's worth it. One of these restaurants is Bangkok Sky. It is located on the 76th and 78th floors. The specialty of this restaurant is the cuisine. It is customary to set a buffet here, where you can find the most delicious dishes of Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisines. Also, visitors can admire the beauties of the city, the view of which opens directly from the windows of the restaurant.

Another restaurant that deserves special attention, is called Stella Palace It is located on the 79th floor. Dinner in it will not leave indifferent any visitor. The cost of pleasure is 690 baht per person, provided that the this moment lives in a hotel. For a simple tourist, visiting this place will cost twice as much.

At the Stella Palace restaurant

Most Popular Restaurant Bangkok Balcony located on the 81st floor. In addition to delicious dishes and good service, it has a highlight that attracts visitors so much - the opportunity to enjoy a meal under open sky! Most best view- night Bangkok. The sight is indescribable! International dishes are especially popular on the menu. There are always a lot of people here.

Art lovers can go up to the 77th floor. There they will find an excellent observatory and a museum.

Observatory and museum on the 77th floor

There is an observation deck on the 83rd floor. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that it rotates around its axis. Impressions are indescribable! You can go down on a glass elevator. Thanks to the design of the elevator, it appears additional opportunity admire the beauty of the city from above for an extra couple of minutes.

Baiyoke Sky also has a swimming pool, spa, gym, beauty salon, children's pool, sauna, fitness center, massage, meeting room, golf course and, of course, shops. There are a lot of the latter here. And the prices in many of them are quite attractive.
Perfect service, comfortable rooms and plenty of entertainment await tourists from all over the world. A person who has visited this place at least once will dream of coming back here again!

I have long wanted to go to the observation deck of Baiyoke Sky (Baiyoke Sky Hotel) - the most high hotel in Bangkok, but everything was not on the way. On this visit, I decided to make special time to visit this place. Let for some a banal attraction, but I love views and heights. Almost always in major cities I go to high places, for example, in Malaysia, or in Hong Kong.

Please note that there are 3 zones there: Standard (22-45 floors), Sky-Heavenly (46-63 floors) and Space-Space (64-74 floors), and prices differ depending on the zone. To see as much as possible from your window, you need to settle in the very top (Space). And the standard is better not to book at all, everything is not very good there.

The best way to get discounts on hotels in Thailand is through RoomGuru. Here is a direct link to you, be sure to check before booking if there is a discount for it anywhere else or not.

Observation deck on the 77th floor

So let's go up together? If you buy a ticket below, then immediately after entering the building there will be a special elevator leading only to the observation deck (the rest of the elevators to the 18th floor and to the rooms).

So, this elevator has a glass wall. And after some time after the ascent, you will see how you gain altitude. If you want to stand close to the glass, then immediately push through to the back wall of the elevator, it is she who is transparent.

The Observation Desk on the 77th floor is the first of observation platforms. It is closed and you can look at Bangkok only through glass stained with foreheads and fingers. However, this is not reflected in the photographs.

You can come here right before sunset and have time to take daytime and sunset photos. As soon as it gets dark, we climb higher.

Observation deck on the 84th floor

The second platform (Revolving Desk) is located on the 84th floor, turning around its axis. We climb it after the first one either by elevator or stairs. It is open and here you will hear the city noise and feel the warm wind, the immersion in height is more complete.

The first thought is, well, finally here you can shoot not through the window ... But it wasn’t there, because instead of them there is a grid partially covered with plexiglass. Night photos are just as hard to take from here, because the site is moving and there will still be blur, even with a tripod. And somewhere at 6 pm, a flashing backlight is lit.

Under the very roof there are several restaurants (Bangkok Balcony, Bangkok Sky, Stella Palace, Crystal Grill), which are loved by Russian tourists. However, in the hotel itself, it feels like some compatriots. Since I have not been to restaurants, I can not say anything about them.

If anything, then downstairs in the nearest shopping center (Fashion Mall) there is an ordinary Thai food court, where the prices are regular, not tourist ones. I indicated the food court on the map, it is located next to the famous Pantip Plaza, 10 minutes from Baiyoke to go.

Opening hours and ticket price

Opening hours: from 10:00 am to 02:00 am.

Ticket price: 400 baht. The price includes a drink at the Roof Top Bar on the 83rd floor.

But there is a hack. You can pay a little more and get a lot more. You need to buy a ticket not to the observation deck, but to the fruit buffet (buffet)! Tickets must be purchased online through Klook. A voucher will be sent to your email and then you need to show it at the entrance.

Entrance fee: 490 baht per adult and 250 baht per child up to 120 cm. Included in the price: unlimited drinks, thai fruit and visiting viewing platforms. This is more profitable, especially if you are hungry. The buffet is open from 10.30 to 20.30.

Klook has another option for the more hungry: Dinning Buffet. Also a buffet, but no longer fruity: Thai food, pizza, pasta, desserts. The cost is 575 baht per adult and 330 baht per child. Lookouts are included with the price. Quite. The only thing is that there is not a very large choice of time (there is lunch and dinner).

And there is also a restaurant on the 81st floor. For those who want to dine in a restaurant with a view, not just a snack and a lookout. Naturally, from the restaurant you can go to the viewing points.

How to get to Baiyoke Sky

The Baiyoke Sky Hotel is located next to the Ratchaprarop metro station, this is the City Line branch that comes from. That is, go in a straight line, 20-30 minutes, and then from the metro another 5-10 minutes on foot. It is not difficult to navigate, the hotel can be seen from almost all sides, it is also the highest.

You can also come from the side, on foot or from other metro lines. Alternatively, take a river bus along the klong, this is convenient if you get from the Khaosan Road area.

We love to climb higher. If mountains, then the Himalayas, if a skyscraper, then the highest in Thailand. And even if we are not yet so extreme to climb straight to Everest or the fire escape at Burj Dubai, but at the first opportunity we are looking for the most high point to take a look around. In Bangkok, the 85-storey Baiyoke Sky Hotel, 328 meters high, turned out to be such a place. On some almost top floor there is a rotating open area, for which you can buy a ticket and rotate there at least the whole day. We wanted to catch there both daylight hours, sunset, and darkness. But now it's almost five o'clock, and we're just driving, in a hurry, late ...

The hotel is not so sophisticated and expensive, Russian package travelers often settle there. But high, yeah! The highest in Asia. You can settle, it seems, on some seventy floors.

From the street, you can already see the ticket office, which sells tickets to visit a restaurant or site. The restaurant is cheaper. Someone said that it is enough to take a ticket there and then climb to the site on your own, but we decided not to tempt fate. Uncles stood at the elevators, checking tickets and seeing them off where they needed to go. The 250 baht site ticket includes a cocktail of your choice at the Roof Top bar, and the 300 baht ticket includes a dinner.

The site is called an observer at the checkout. This, apparently, misled someone, and Ajay read on Wikipedia that there is also an observatory upstairs. I really wanted to go there. But there was no observatory, although all the design on the way to the site was a kind of planetary-space.
2

Our compatriots are full there.
3

A little late, the sun has already set, but the sky is still slightly illuminated.
4

It fades very quickly. With each circle, the frames become an order of magnitude darker.
5

The movement of cars is amazing. The city seems like an anthill, the roads look like ant processions.
6

We wonder if the skyscrapers will turn on the lights. But these are all office buildings, and clerks are now driving home along these very roads.
7

Distant skyscrapers are drowning in haze.
8

The dark line above the road is the skytrain line.
9

Lights were lit on the site. Birdsong blares from the loudspeakers to the grinding of the pad itself, which spins non-stop, but not too fast.
10

We got out of it, and for a few more minutes it seemed to us that the floor was moving))
They stared at the coin in the telescope.
11

And we went to the bar for a cocktail. Outside the bar, they saw those who chose their dinner. It was packed in a huge scary box and looked like an airplane ration, but with some kind of cakes. In such a romantic setting, I would not really like such a "canteen", so I was glad of our choice.
12

The bar was intimate and the city was perfectly visible through the panoramic windows.
13

Last but not least, the toilet. Queens Amidala - to the left)

Baiyoke Sky in Bangkok is an observation deck, a hotel and the most high structure in Thailand. Its height is 309 m and it consists of 84 floors. From the last floors of the Baiyoke Sky tower, you can enjoy a stunning view of the city. Here you can not only visit the observation deck, but also dine in one of the restaurants with beautiful view to evening Bangkok. I really liked the Baiyoke Sky tower and I have visited it several times already. In this article, I will tell you about it in detail.

Baiyoke Sky tower has 2 observation decks. The first one is on the 77th floor. This observation deck is closed, you will look at the city through panoramic windows. In addition to beautiful views, there is also a small museum with various items of Thai life and exposition. It was interesting for me to walk around the museum and I did a large number of photos.

The second observation deck is located on the last 84 floor. It is open and slowly rotates around its axis. The observation deck is surrounded by a fairly high net. However, due to the grid and the constant rotation of the observation deck, it is inconvenient to take pictures of the city, they often turn out to be blurry.

At night, this observation deck is illuminated in different colors. Here you can hear the sounds of the city, the wind blows your hair and you immerse yourself in this atmosphere as much as possible and feel the height.

Baiyoke Sky has 7 lifts that take you to the observation deck. But, as a rule, tourists prefer a high-speed panoramic elevator that immediately goes to the 77th floor. His speed is quite high, I even got stuffy ears. The panoramic elevator has a glass wall and you can see how you go up.

Working hours

Observation decks are open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. weekdays and from 9:30 am to 11 pm on weekends. But you can climb to the observation deck no later than 9:30 pm.

Prices

The cost of visiting the observation decks depends on the time of day. Before 6 pm, the entrance ticket costs 300 baht, after 6 pm - 400 baht. The ticket price also includes one cocktail at the Roof Top Bar on the 83rd floor. Tickets are sold at the entrance at the box office.

If you are staying at the Baiyoke Sky Hotel, then the entrance to the observation decks is free for you.

Baiyoke Sky Tower has several excellent restaurants that operate on a system buffet. You pay a certain amount and you can eat as much as you like. Some restaurants besides tasty food have a panoramic view of the city.

fruit buffet be on the 18th floor. Here is a wide selection of exotic. True, their variety depends on the season. In addition to fresh fruits, here you can taste fruit ice cream, freshly squeezed juices, jellies, dried fruits and other fruit dishes.

sky coffee shop also located on the 18th floor. It serves European, Thai and American cuisine, a wide selection of desserts, wines and signature cocktails.

Bangkok sky restaurant located on the 76th and 78th floors. The restaurant operates on a buffet system and is very popular among package tourists. It offers a wide selection of European, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and Thai cuisine. It was this restaurant that I visited when I first visited the Bayok Sky observation deck. I remember him for a great variety of seafood. The cost of the buffet is 960 baht.

Stella Palace be on the 79th floor. Chinese and international cuisines are presented here. Large selection of seafood dishes. The cost of the buffet is 1250 baht.

bangkok balcony be on the 81st floor. International cuisine is presented here. The restaurant offers a beautiful view of the city. This restaurant has tables on the balcony and indoors. If you want to dine on the balcony, you should book a table in advance.

The roof top bar located on the 83rd floor. The bar offers a wide selection of cocktails, wines and light snacks. Panoramic windows offer a beautiful view of Bangkok. There is always music playing in the bar.

You can find out the current prices and book a table in the restaurant on the official website of Baiyoke Sky.

Baiyoke Sky Hotel

From the 22nd to the 74th floor are hotel rooms. The cost of living depends not only on the category, but also on the floor on which the room is located: the higher, the more expensive. The cheapest rooms are from the 22nd to the 45th floor, then the prices gradually increase.

Not really expensive at all. A standard double room can be rented here for 2400 baht per day. Prices are quite affordable and if you wish, you can stay in this hotel. Just don't expect luxury from it, the rooms are quite old and basic. But on the other hand, you can visit observation platforms for free, and restaurants provide discounts for guests.

Each room has a bath and shower, air conditioning, TV, safe, bar and hairdryer. However, there is no internet in the room, it is only available in the lobby. The hotel itself has excellent parking, a gym, a swimming pool with beautiful views, a spa, a laundry, observation decks and a large number of restaurants for every taste.

If you decide to settle in, then it is better to book a room in advance, as the price on the spot is 2 times higher. Also, the hotel is popular among tourists and you may not have a free room. I recommend booking a hotel on the Hotellook website, he will select a room for you at the best price.
