More a budget option but more stressful. Official buses to Krabi province run from the South Station (Southern bus terminal). Travel time - 12 hours. There will be stops several times. Official routes- straight. On unofficial ones, you may have a transfer somewhere along the way. You do not need to do anything - they will look after you and tell you where to sit. Private traders sometimes drop off at their offices in Krabi.
How to get from Krabi to Ao Nang.
Minibus. Right at the bus station there is a separate stop for songthaews (minibuses). It's an open pickup truck with a roof. It fits up to 10 people. Although they can get more. The fare to Ao Nang, in theory, is 60 rubles. But sometimes drivers stir up and demand 80 (usually in the evening). To avoid "surprises" - check the cost in advance. Ride depending on the time of day, the number of passengers and the driver's quickness - from 30 minutes to half an hour. Minibuses run every 20-40 minutes. Until 21 o'clock. True, you should not rely heavily on late flights.
Taxi. Well, how could it be without him. Again, if you're with a bunch of stuff, it might be handy. Or if the minibuses no longer run. Or you need it fast. Not everyone goes to Ao Nang - someone needs to catch the ferry to the islands. The cost of a trip from the city to Ao Nang is 500 rubles. Almost the same as from the airport. But unlike the airport, not always a taxi is at the bus station. But they take you straight to the hotel.

Method three: by train.
More precisely train + bus. Because there are no railways in Krabi. The nearest stations are in neighboring provinces. These are the cities of Surat Thani and Trang. Trains depart from Hua Lamphong Railway Station. True, it is worth worrying about places in advance. In Trang, trains stop less often, twice. There are about 10-11 trains to Surat Thani during the day.
