Bus timetable from bangkok airport to pattaya. To Pattaya from Don Muang Airport. Buses from Pattaya to Suvarnabhumi Airport

If you want to get from Pattaya to one of Bangkok airports, you will have to use either a taxi or a special bus. Of course, it is easier to get from Pattaya to Suvarnabhumi airport, which is located just 120 km from the resort, i.e. even closer than Bangkok. In general, it is correct to say “Suvanapum”, but among Russian-speaking travelers the name Suvarnabhumi has firmly entrenched, so it will be exactly that in the text below. A slightly more difficult path will have to be made from Pattaya to Don Muang Airport, however, in the second case, the path can be easy and inexpensive if you know the methods described below that allow get from Pattaya to Bangkok airports.

THE CONTENT OF THE ARTICLE (click on the link for a quick jump)

From Pattaya to Suvarnabhumi Airport by Bus

Definitely, the easiest and most affordable option to get from Pattaya to Suvarnabhumi is to use the regular bus, which departs according to the approved schedule from the Pattaya bus station, located in the southern part of the city. The article describes in detail how to get to this bus station (more precisely, a small bus station). The fare is 134 baht. The bus follows the toll road. There is no pre-sale commission, and by clicking on the link you can see (see the second column, marked as "From Pattaya".

A ticket can be purchased a few days before the bus leaves for the airport (at least I do), but I think that even on the day of departure this will not be a problem, since the bus runs often and there are usually empty seats on it. Please note that this ticket is non-refundable (No Refund), so carefully consider the time of departure to the airport in advance and do not miss your flight (which is easy to do if you do not calculate the time it will take to travel by songthaew (tuk-tuk) in rush hour when traffic on some tuk tuk routes in Pattaya almost comes to a standstill due to traffic jams.

The duration of the trip is about 1.5-2 hours (the last option is when you get stuck in a traffic jam in Pattaya), while the bus brings passengers to exit No. 7 in the departure area (4th floor of Suvarnabhumi Airport). Baggage on the bus is free (although it would be more correct to say it is included in the ticket price), while baggage receipts are issued indicating the number of pieces of luggage. Later, upon arrival at the airport, upon presentation of these receipts, employees bus company(driver and representative) issue luggage. Near the bus, you can immediately take airport carts, which are convenient and easy to drag suitcases to the check-in counters for your flight.

A slightly more expensive option with a bus to Suvarnabhumi from Pattaya is to order a transfer from Bell Travel Service, which I already wrote about in an article. On the popular one, you can book a transfer directly from the door of your hotel (the link leads directly to the desired route to the Russian version of the service). The cost will be 249 baht per person when ordering and paying online (when buying at the checkout, the price is 1 baht higher). At the same time, from the door of the hotel to the bus station in Pattaya, you will be delivered by minibus, and already directly to the airport will be taken on a large and soft intercity bus. Previously, it was also possible to order a ticket to Don Muang for 245 baht, but now this service, unfortunately, has been suspended.

The advantage of this method will be appreciated by those who find it difficult to get to southern bus station Pattaya with suitcases, while making several transfers when driving on tuk-tuks. Company buses leave from Pattaya to Suvarnabhumi at 06:00, 09:00, 11:00, 13:00, 15:00, 17:00 and 19:00. Of course, check-out from the hotel will be at least half an hour earlier. Other options get to Suvarnabhumi from Pattaya(for example, via Bangkok) by bus are also available, but in my opinion they do not make sense, because. more complex and expensive.

Taxi from Pattaya to Suvarnabhumi Airport

The option with a taxi is justified in cases where you have large suitcases, when you do not like to use buses and, moreover, scheduled tuk-tuks in Pattaya, with which you need to get to the bus stations. Another option in which a taxi justifies itself is a night or very early morning departure from Suvarnabhumi, when regular buses cannot be used, because. they don't go at night. A taxi from Pattaya to Suvarnabhumi will cost you between 900 and 1200 baht (depending on the place of order, your bargaining skills and the mood of the taxi driver). It does not make sense to go for a lot of money, because. There are a lot of taxis in Pattaya and there are always more people who want to deliver for the specified amounts than potential passengers.

Street taxi order desk from Pattaya to Bangkok airport

You can always order a taxi at the hotel reception, at, at the numerous street stands "Taxi to airport" (see photo) and simply at the taxi ranks, having agreed with the driver. By the way, do not forget to clarify that the final price, i.е. fare for toll road the taxi driver pays himself (if I'm not mistaken, this is twice 60 baht). Thus, one of the advantages of the method is its speed (although not much faster than on a conventional regular bus), a slightly higher level of comfort and the ability to leave Pattaya for Bangkok at any time of the day. Do not forget that because of the gas bottle in the trunk, taxis usually do not take more than three passengers into the cabin, if they are with luggage.

From Pattaya to Don Muang Airport - all ways

Since there are no direct bus routes from Pattaya to Don Muang, you will have to use combined schemes. The simplest of them is bus + taxi. In the article, I described in detail how to get to the bus stations of the capital of Thailand by bus for 124-133 baht. If you want to get to the airport in Don Muang, it is best to purchase a bus ticket from Pattaya to Bangkok North Bus Station (Nothern bus terminal), because it is located closest to the desired airport.

There are always a lot of taxis near the indicated bus station that will take you on the meter to the departure zone in Don Muang for about 120 baht (or 150-200 without a meter, but the latter option is a lot for Bangkok, given that you only need to go by taxi for about 10-15 minutes). You can also take one of the city buses near the building of the northern bus station in Bangkok, but without knowledge of the Thai language, finding the right bus will be problematic, because. Latin inscriptions are not provided. Buses cost about 20 baht.

The second option: take a bus to Suvarnabhumi Airport, as described in the first section of the article, and then transfer to a free shuttle bus to Don Muang Airport, which can be found near exit No. 7 from the airport in the arrivals area (second floor). Boarding is carried out upon presentation of a printout of an air ticket with a departure from Don Muang. Free buses run between airports from 05:00 am to 00:00 am, while in the morning and evening hours the intervals between buses are longer, and during daylight hours - about 20 minutes.

On the second floor international airport from exit number 7 there is a free bus (shuttle bus) to Don Muang. Travel time from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. Depending on traffic jams. The bus runs from 5 am to midnight. From 05-00 in the morning to 10-00, and also from 22-00 to 00-00, the departure interval of buses from Suvarnabhumi is 1 hour. The rest of the time, the interval is reduced to 20-40 minutes. The free Shuttle Bus schedule in Don Muang can be found near the pick-up point.

Buses run almost half-empty, so there is no need to worry about the availability of empty seats. Travel time between airports is from 40 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic conditions. There are also city buses that run between airports, but they come with many stops. Therefore, spend 30-35 baht for long trip doesn't make sense. Moreover, the free shuttle buses are equipped with air conditioning, unlike some city ones.

Bangkok city taxi - the only way to travel between airports at night

A taxi to Don Muang Airport from Pattaya will cost more than Suvarnabhumi, because it is located further from the resort. Those. you should count on the amount of 1500-2000 baht and above. Therefore, sometimes it is much cheaper to get to Suvarnabhumi Airport by taxi from Pattaya, and then arrange a trip to Don Muang with a taxi driver. It is better to do this in the departure zone, where taxi drivers usually leave empty and are more compliant in bargaining. Well, if the taxi driver agrees to take you according to the meter, the option will generally turn out to be optimal in price, because at night there is no other option to get from Pattaya to Don Muang. If the prospect of communicating with Thai taxi drivers does not appeal to you, use a reliable Russian-speaking service and get to Don Muang directly from Pattaya.

Finally, there is information about minibass for 180 baht, which from morning to evening go to Don Muang from Pattaya with an interval of about half an hour. I immediately warn you that this information has not yet been verified by me, so you will need to check it on the spot if possible. Minibuses depart from a small station on Central Pattaya Street. A large grocery supermarket Foodland, located on this street (Pattaya Klang or Central Pattaya Rd), can serve as a reference point.

You should walk about 100 meters from the indicated store towards the Sukhumvit highway (i.e. away from the sea) and purchase a minibus ticket from the transport company. The inscriptions above the canopy at the company's office are in Thai, while the advertising sign itself and the billboard on the sidewalk are on a yellow background. Nearby is a small gas station. If you walk from the Foodland store, it will be on the left side. It can also be reached from the Sukhkumvit highway, while the office of the company will be approximately 280 meters from the indicated road on the right side. - the best site for finding air tickets. Map with the location of the bus and railway stations of Bangkok:

Minivan

Previously, Pattaya could be reached by minivan from the Victory Monument metro station, but recently the Thai authorities have kicked out all minivans from there. Now they depart from the official bus stations of Bangkok, and free shuttles have been launched from Victory Monument to these stations.

For example, Pattaya Van minivans run from Mo Chit bus station every 15-20 minutes, the ticket costs only 92 baht per trip.

At independent trip, you will definitely face the question of transport and ways to get to Pattaya from Suvarnabhumi Airport. In the article we will talk about what options we used in our practice, how much it costs to get to Pattaya from Suvarnabhumi Airport, and also give some useful tips.

After a long-awaited landing at the main airport in Thailand, passing passport control, after receiving the luggage and passing through the customs area, we go to the arrivals hall (2nd floor), which has several exits to the street. Now we need to get to Pattaya.

Option 1. AOT Limousine

After exiting through exit 5 on the second floor, you can find the minibus parking and cars with the inscriptions AOT Limousine is a 24-hour transport service run by state organization AOT (Airports of Thailand).

AOT Limousine in Suvarnabhumi

This service is, to put it mildly, expensive and there is not much point in driving such cars, there are many other and cheaper ways. Comfortable, prestigious, but expensive. See the AOT Limousine price list from the official website:

Prices AOT Limousine Suvarnabhumi - Pattaya

Most cheap option worth to Pattaya 2700 baht,it is expensive.

The map of the airport clearly states - public transport, buses and taxis on the ground floor

We are on the second, buses on the first

It is easy to get to the first floor - there are escalators and elevators. There are two types of escalators at the airport - ordinary ones with steps and flat ones, that is, without steps. It is convenient to move on them with bulky luggage and airport carts, on which luggage is folded.

We go down to the first floor

Option 2. Bus

Bus transportation from Suvarnabhumi to Pattaya is handled by Roong Reuang Coach. With this company, you can also go to Hua Hin from the airport. By the way, you can also book tickets online. link

Going down to the first floor, the first thing to do is to find the bus ticket office. It is located in the western part of the building - if you stand facing the exit from the airport to the street, then on the left. You can use the sign and go towards the food court (towards exit No. 8). I bring a photo and apologize for its quality, the inscriptions lit up and the correction does not help.

Food court straight ahead, exit 7 on the right

On the way, before reaching the food court, right at exit No. 8 on the right side we see the coveted bus ticket office where you can buy a ticket to Pattaya and beyond. The box looks like this:

Bus ticket office in Suvarnabhumi

The sign at the checkout says that the fare to Pattaya costs 120 Thai baht per person. Included in the price hand luggage and 1 luggage space(standard size and weight), for extra baggage and oversized baggage you need to pay extra, the price is posted at the counter. By the way, earlier travel on these buses cost a little more - 134 baht. Transportation is carried out daily from 7.00 to 22.00 with an interval of one hour.

Where do the buses from Suvarnabhumi to Pattaya stop?

The buses make two stops along the way:

  • near the intersection of Sukhumvit with North Street (North Road or Pattaya Nua), opposite Bangkok Hospital Pattaya
  • At the intersection of Sukhumvit and Central street(Central Road or Pattaya Klang). Strange, but this stop is not listed on the carrier's website, but on the map that lies at the checkout in Suvarnabhumi, this stop is (see the photo of the map below).
  • near the intersection of Sukhumvit with South Street (South Road or PattayaTai), near BigC Supercenter

Then Ending station on Thappraya Road

Important! Flights at 21.00 and 22.00 follow to the northern Pattaya bus station

Stops on the map

Bus stops on the map

There is a sign at the counter with the departure time for which this moment tickets are sold. As soon as tickets for the current flight are sold out, the time of the next flight appears on the plate. During the purchase of tickets, you will be told what time you need to come here - to the box office. And at the appointed time, everyone will be collected and escorted to the landing. Keep in mind that sometimes tickets sell out very quickly and if you think or walk around for a long time, you can lose two hours of time.

The road to Pattaya takes about two hours, and the cost for three was 360 baht

Option 3. Taxi Meter

Here, on the ground floor, the parking lot on the street is occupied by taxis, not those that are AOT limousines, but the usual yellow, yellow-green and pink ones. Each car is in a certain place. Some leave with passengers, others park in their place.

Taxi parking on the ground floor of Suvarnabhumi

Not knowing how the system works, you can get into a stupid situation. For the first time, out of ignorance, I just went outside through exit 8, went up to the first taxi driver I came across and asked how long it would be to Pattaya. The taxi driver answered - 1700 baht. I started bidding, almost agreed on 1300, and suddenly I heard a whistle, the taxi driver hastily walked away and climbed into the car. The source of the whistling turned out to be a man on a bicycle, who called me, while obviously swearing)

In general, this man angrily explained to me that it was impossible to negotiate with the drivers directly, to which I pretended that I didn’t know anything and didn’t understand him well) and asked him to help me with a taxi.

So, to order a taxi at the airport, near exits 4 and 7 on the ground floor, there are special coupon terminals (like in a savings bank). After standing in line, you need to go to this terminal and select a class desired machine- sedan (Toyota Corolla) or compact van (Toyota Innova), after which the machine issues a ticket indicating the pick-up point Lane number, driver's name, license number and phone number.

Here on such devices it is necessary to take a ticket for a taxi. AOT Photo We teach such a ticket. Landing path indicated, driver information

After that, you need to proceed to the landing. We just go out to the parking lot and look for our number. Lane numbers are marked on the illuminated panels above the parking lot. We pass to the desired point and wait for the driver. Then we sit down and tell him the final address. We got to Pattaya itself quickly, the travel time took a little more than an hour, as the road is excellent and allows you to drive smartly.

A trip on such a taxi to Pattaya cost us 1500 Baht.

Option 4. Transfer order online

Modern technologies and services allow you to order a taxi online from any device and at any time. One of these convenient services is Kiwi Taxi. By specifying the points of departure and arrival, you see available options transfer, such as classes and brands of cars, the number of passengers for each class. Transfer prices are also immediately visible.

Convenient choice of car class with an indication of the cost

As you can see in the screenshot, the minimum cost for three passengers is 55$ . This is comparable to the cost of Taxi Meter, but this method has big advantages:

  • this taxi can be booked in advance and save time
  • payment takes place on the site, so everything is transparent and no price changes
  • when ordering, you indicate the flight number and when you arrive, the taxi will already be waiting for you
  • when ordering, you indicate the destination in Pattaya and the driver already knows where you need to go (we had language problems, for example, when you go to a little-known hotel)

Order form

Find and book a transfer from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Pattaya on your own

Option 5. Grab Taxi app

There is another option to use the Grab Taxi application. This application is indispensable when traveling, for example around Pattaya itself. It is very convenient to make an order, there is no language barrier - everything is visible on the map, from where and where you need to go. We use Grab very actively in Pattaya.

In 2018, the cost of a trip from the airport to North Pattaya streets varies from 1100 to 1400 baht

  • In order to leave by bus and not hang around at the airport for a very long time, we advise you to immediately, first of all, stomp for tickets or send someone alone
  • Do not negotiate with taxi drivers in the parking lot of the 1st floor on your own - this disrupts well-functioning work and causes the anger of management
  • To take a cheaper taxi, try to negotiate at the parking lot on the 4th floor (departure zone). Taxi drivers from Pattaya bring departing passengers here and don't particularly want to queue downstairs or drive back empty.
  • The easiest way is to order online, for example on

Tourists who arrived in Bangkok on a tour package may not think about transfer to Pattaya, they will be met near Suvarnabhumi Airport and taken to desired hotel. But for those who travel on their own, it is worth exploring the options for moving around the country in advance. Transport connection between major cities Thailand is well developed, and the distance from Bangkok to Pattaya is only 160 km. So get to popular resort won't be difficult. You can take a bus, minivan, train or taxi. Each of these modes of transportation differs in terms of driving time, prices and comfort.

Buses run daily strictly with a schedule from two bus stations in Bangkok - Mo Chit and Ekkamai. The bus schedule is customized for tourists. They run from Ekkamai Bus Station during the day from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm. From Mo Chit Bus Station there are flights to Pattaya from 5:00 to 19:00. Buses run every half hour to an hour. The cost of such a trip is approximately 100 baht. The journey will take 2 hours. In Pattaya, buses arrive at North Pattaya Street.

Tickets can be purchased at the box office located in the station building on the ground floor, or on the website. On the ticket bought in advance, you will see the number of the parking point from which your bus will depart.

On a note! All cashiers at bus stations report the number of seats sold to each bus driver. Therefore, if you are late for a while, the bus will be waiting for you. But do not abuse the situation, the maximum delay is 15 minutes, then the bus will leave without you and the ticket cannot be returned.

Traveling by bus has many advantages, including:

  • one of the cheapest tickets
  • all buses are equipped with air conditioning;
  • large luggage compartments;
  • all drivers are officially employed and are responsible for passengers. Therefore, this option is the safest.

But there are also disadvantages in their schedule - long breaks for rest and snacks (often delayed for 1 hour or more) and buses leave no more than once every half an hour.

Minivan

Minivans depart from Bangkok once every half an hour, the movement time is from 6 am to 9 pm. Travel time to the resort will be about 2-3 hours, depending on traffic jams in the capital and on the highway. Tourists are attracted to this transport option by the fact that there is no strict schedule, many departure stations in Bangkok and inexpensive price trips.

Significant disadvantages of this method of transportation to the resort are:
