The best holiday in vietnam. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. The national dishes are

Many tourists are interested in holidays in Vietnam. This country has become popular for many reasons, including visa-free entry, and gorgeous sandy beaches, and a pleasant climate, low prices for local hotels.

So tourists from all countries were drawn there, including Russo tourists.

I was lucky enough to visit this country, two of the most popular Vietnamese resorts, so I had the opportunity to compare them. And in this article I will talk about the features of these resorts, and why Vietnam can be your most vivid tourist experience!

Socialism in Paradise: who will enjoy a holiday in Vietnam

Do you remember how we treated foreign tourists during the Soviet Union? That's right: they ran on their hind legs in front of them, they, foreigners, were offered only the best. built for them good hotels, expensive restaurants worked for them.

This is exactly what it looks like in Vietnam. If the same Chinese built loved ones for themselves, then the Vietnamese still do not have so many rich people to build luxury hotels for them. And they were built specifically for tourists. Moreover, they were built quite recently - about 10 years ago. Since, unlike the same, before that, Vietnam was somehow in no hurry with the development of resorts.

But after the tourism development program was adopted in the country at the beginning of the 2000s, the Vietnamese began to build in such a way that everyone gasped.

So, if you want to feel like a celestial - you are in Vietnam!

By the way, please note that there have been changes in the rules for entering Vietnam. You can read more about this in this article:

When is the best time to go: seasonality

To begin with, let's first define best season for the trip. Vietnam has a dry season and a rainy season. Due to the fact that Vietnam is, as it were, "stretched" from north to south, the climate in different parts of Vietnam is also different.

But both north and south are affected by the monsoons. From November to April, it is cooler in the north, but there is less rainfall. And from May to October it is hot and humid. The south has high humidity all year round, and the rainy season lasts from May to November. Because majority popular resorts located closer to the south of Vietnam probably worth choosing for a trip to Vietnam time from November to April.

Most of the time, this is exactly what tourists do. Accordingly, the prices of the dry season are more expensive, and in the rainy season, tours to Vietnam are a little cheaper.

You can see the current prices for holidays in Vietnam here: Tours to Vietnam

Resorts in Vietnam - which one to choose?

The choice of a resort in Vietnam should also be approached quite responsibly, because the two most popular resorts Vietnam - Nya Trang And Phan Thiet- very different in their structure and location.

Having visited both there and there, I can say that by choosing any of them, you will get a great vacation and a lot of opportunities for sightseeing pastime.

But still, it is better to know about the features of these resorts in order to get exactly those impressions from the trip that will make you remember Vietnam with love and delight.

Phan Thiet resort

So, Phan Thiet located quite far from the airport - 200 km, transfer there takes 3-4 hours. Actually, the town of Phan Thiet itself is not a tourist destination. This is the usual small town where the local population is engaged in fishing.

Near it - about 15 km - there is Mui Ne resort area . That's where all the hotels are.

Even 10-15 years ago, mainly surfers and kitesurfers rode in Mui Ne. During the day, the guys cut through the waves and in the evening they drank beer on the beach and picked up girls in several local bars. A kind of specific paradise on earth, a party for their own.

But everything is changing. Mui Ne was discovered by major travel companies. The monsters of the tourism industry saw the potential of the local beaches and began to beautify the place and sell organized tours to the godforsaken village in southern Vietnam.

Now there are more than 70 hotels. They different levels- from three to five stars. But the nice thing is that all the hotels on Mui Ne - with their large or not very, but, as a rule, beautiful and green territory, and are located on the 1st line from the sea, and their beaches with pleasant golden sand have a gentle entrance to the sea .

Hotels 3*:Vinh Suong Resort 3*, we lived in it: awesome green and cozy hotel, very well located - everything is nearby. Hotels MUINE OCEAN RESORT & SPA 3*, CANARY BEACH RESORT 3* also worthy, with beautiful grounds and good rooms.

4* hotels: BAMBOO VILLAGE BEACH RESORT & SPA 4* — very stylish, with good territory; PALMIRA MUINE 4* a little away from other hotels, but for a relaxing holiday with children - ideal. NOVELA RESORT 4*- small area good rooms(and the view from most of the rooms), good location. SUNNY BEACH PHAN THIET 4* great area, flowers everywhere, nice rooms .

Two 4 * hotels stand apart - Novotel Coralia 4* And PARK DIAMOND HOTEL 4*. They are no longer located in Mui Ne, but on the outskirts of Phan Thiet itself. But if Novotel Coralia 4 * is a large territory, its own beach, infrastructure, excellent rooms with balconies, i.e. good hotel for good rest PARK DIAMOND HOTEL 4* this is essentially a city hotel without territory, with a beach across the road. And I would not want to spend all 10-12 days of vacation there ...

Hotels 5*: ANANTARA MUINE 5* pretentious, high-tech style, excellent territory, endless pool, huge rooms with stylish interiors… in short, the coolest hotel in Mui Ne. MUINE DE CENTURY BEACH RESORT & SPA 5* a large beautiful area, colonial-style houses, in general, a paradise on earth.

Across the road from the hotels, on 2 lines from the sea, there is the entire tourist infrastructure of Mui Ne in the form of restaurants, shops, massage parlors, travel agencies and rental offices.

And in the vicinity there are several natural and cultural attractions:

  • white sand dunes
  • red dunes
  • hot springs and geysers
  • Fay Brook (Red Brook)
  • Cham towers

All of them are located at different distances from the resort. You can try to get there on your own by renting a scooter, or you can take an excursion and go to admire the nature and landscapes of southern Vietnam with a guide.

Choosing the second option, you will see several amazing places in one day: you will visit the White Sand Dunes and you can admire the lotus blossoms on the lake next to the dunes. Near Fairy Creek, where, according to local legend, magical fairies live, you will take a barefoot walk right along a shallow stream. It goes along the jungle and sandy mountains and leads to a small waterfall.

In addition, a cable car ride up Mount Taku, 694 meters high, awaits you. It offers stunning views of the South China Sea and the landscapes of South Vietnam. On the mountain you will also see the famous 49-meter statue of Buddha, you will see a functioning temple where monks live, and pagodas to which Buddhists make pilgrimages.

A pretty girl Alexandra can take you on such an excursion. You can see the itinerary for this tour here: Amazing Binh Thuan

As I already mentioned, the Mui Ne resort area is a mecca for wind, kite and other surfers. There are excellent conditions for practicing these sports - stable wind and moderate, but also stable waves.

The only disadvantage of rest in Mui Ne may be the abundance of compatriots. Even in Turkey they are probably in last years became smaller. Cafes and restaurants have signs entirely in Russian, and in the evenings Baskov’s drawling voice and Pugacheva’s old songs are heard from the speakers. But if in 10 days of rest you get bored with seafood, and you want borscht, you will find it.

Kega area

I want to say a few more words about the resort area kega (KEGA).

It is also located a 20-minute drive from Phan Thiet, but only in the opposite direction from Mui Ne. About 10 hotels have now been built and are operating there. They are all very decent, even three-ruble notes, for example ROCK WATER BAY 3*, or Eco Spa Village 3*(in the spirit of a Vietnamese village with cozy eco-style houses immersed in the jungle).

But there is really nowhere to leave the hotel in the evening - there is no infrastructure around. So if you book a hotel in the Kega region for breakfast, then you will have a problem with dinner - you will either need to go to Phan Thiet, or pay extra and get by with the hotel restaurant. Usually tourists choose the first option, because. At a hotel dinner, everyone quickly gets bored.

In Phan Thiet itself, even if you have a hotel on Mui Ne, in general, you can go a couple of times by renting a scooter to get acquainted with the life of the local population. Well, and perhaps, young people will like the nightclub: it can be easily found by the luminous beam of the club spotlight, which is visible against the background of the night sky even at the entrance to the town.

In general, fans of parties, extras and nightlife, as well as everyone who does not like long transfers from the airport to the hotel, it is better to go to another popular resort in Vietnam - to Nha Trang.

Hang out in Vietnam: Nha Trang

Nya Trang- a fairly large and modern city (about a million people), the road to it from the airport will take a maximum of 40 minutes.

All hotels except one ANA MANDARA RESORT 5*, - are located across the road from the sea, but right in the city itself (with the exception of island ones). This is both a plus and a minus.

Plus, all the temptations of a big city are available to you right outside your doorstep. Minus - the population of this big city is numerously present on this very city beach. But this is rather a minus for those tourists who are ready to communicate with the local population only in the form of refined hotel staff.

As for good hotels in Nha Trang, I can recommend the following:

More expensive: Sheraton Nha Trang, Balcony Seaview Nha Trang Center, InterContinental Nha Trang, The Light Hotel & Spa

Cheaper: Dendro Hotel, Golden Tulip Hotel, Green Hotel , New Sun Hotel, Euro Star Hotel,Seaway Hotel

Those tourists who need an ideal beach with sunbeds / umbrellas and without the local population on it, and indeed all tourists vacationing in Nha Trang, will really like it on Vin Pearl Island , which is connected to Nha Trang by cable car.

In addition to a chic beach in a quiet harbor without waves, there are chic hotels on this island - VINPEARL RESORT NHA TRANG 5 * And VINPEARL LUXURY NHA TRANG 5*, and the huge Winpearl Land Park with a water park, an oceanarium, an amusement park and a 3D cinema. Tourists with children, I think, will appreciate all the possibilities of Vin Pearl Island.

All this is available for about 600 rubles with our money. Having paid this amount for a ticket, you get there by cable car and spend the whole day there on the beach, water slides and other attractions (you only have to buy food and drinks). And it all ends evening show fountains. It is also included in these 600 rubles.

Why choose Vietnam

Well, how do you already like this country? Let me give you a couple more reasons in favor of a holiday in Vietnam.

Good excursion programs

In Vietnam you can and should go on excursions . At any resort in Vietnam you will be offered an excellent excursion program: from a trip to hot mineral springs or in the sand dunes before Dalat.

IN Dalat it is advisable to go just for a couple of days, because. The road takes quite a long time, and there is a lot to see.

Who is more active, of course, will go to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) And halong bay.

If you do not like to walk the beaten paths, and you want to see the real Vietnam, the views from which your heart will beat faster, then you should visit these excursions:

Dak Lak Province and Lien Son Township– two-day trip: wildlife, rice fields, coffee fields, huge waterfalls, elephant riding and boating, local tribes and their national cuisine.

Fishing village and Vinh Hy bay: see how ordinary Vietnamese fishermen live, learn about their lifestyle and the structure of the village, see how the fish is dried, which is then sent to shops around the world; look at salt fields where the locals mine salt, and look at vietnamese vineyards, try young Vietnamese wine.

Good cheap shopping

Vietnam is good shopping . The country is famous for its cosmetics, tea and coffee, as well as silk and pearl products. What can be brought from Vietnam? Yes, almost everything: jewelry, leather goods, clothes and shoes. And it's all very inexpensive. After all, many well-known brands have been making their collections in China and Vietnam for a long time. It sells both traditional silk clothes and clothes according to patterns of world brands; you can also find shops of local designers.

When you go shopping, be prepared to play by the rules. And they are as follows: if you want to buy a thing, do not immediately give the amount uttered by the seller. You need to bargain, even you are not used to doing this. But get a thing of excellent quality for inexpensive. These are the shopping rules.

When buying street goods, you can also apply such a “psychological maneuver”: move away from the tray with an offended look. The merchant will call back and will definitely give in. Well, they don’t trade in supermarkets either: prices are fixed in them.

Seafood and other delicacies

What else you can fall in love with Vietnam for is its cuisine. Vietnam is not only a variety of fruits and seafood at ridiculous prices:

Vietnamese kitchen is a collection of all known world traditions: Indian, Japanese, Chinese and so on. Let's remember the history of Vietnam - there was just no one here: the Mongols were noted, and the French, and even the Americans!

Thus, the Vietnamese share the Chinese concept of "five tastes": food should be balanced with salty, sweet, sour, bitter and spicy. As in Chinese cuisine vegetables and herbs play a big role in the dishes. However, the Vietnamese use less oil than the Chinese when frying food.

Following China in the 10th century, Mongolian shepherds came to Vietnam and taught the Vietnamese how to eat beef. Neighboring Cambodia also influenced the development vietnamese cuisine: thanks to her, Indian spices and seasonings have become quite common in Vietnam.

The French, having come to Vietnam in the 19th century, brought their philosophy to food preparation: respect for the high quality of ingredients and the correct use of them. Asparagus, avocado, corn, tomatoes and wine appeared in Vietnam thanks to the French. They also taught the Vietnamese to eat bread (baguettes), drink beer, coffee with milk and make ice cream.

The friendliness of the Vietnamese

In Vietnam, no one, I repeat - NO ONE, will pull you by the hand to your shop, shop, restaurant. No one will pester you on the street with their goods. The Vietnamese generally deserve the sympathy of tourists precisely for their friendliness and unobtrusiveness.

So, to sum up: Vietnam is a great option for your vacation if you need warm sea, good hotels, cheap seafood and a lot of impressions.

For those who have not been able to decide on a resort, there are combined tours that give the opportunity to live in both Nha Trang and Phan Thiet.

See you on the blog!

Vietnamwonderful country with ancient history and culture, which contains a huge number of valuable historical monuments, many of which are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The classic combination of bright sun, warm sand, blue sea surface, excellent resorts makes this place ideal for travelers who decide to forget about their problems and immerse themselves in a fabulous vacation.

Diving enthusiasts have an amazing opportunity to enjoy an activity dear to their hearts. Many hotels in the best Vietnamese resorts are equipped with their own massage rooms and spa complexes with healing mud and natural springs. Vietnam is the best vacation for body and soul!

The capital of the Republic of Vietnam is the city of Hanoi, but this is not a place for a beach holiday, but a great opportunity to get acquainted with the interesting sights of the country. In general, you can relax in Vietnam all year round, because when it is humid or cold in one region, it is dry, sunny and hot in another. Let's figure out which resorts in Vietnam are best for relaxing by months.

- Halong bay or Halong Bay, located in northern Vietnam, in the Gulf of Tonkin South China Sea. This place is located one hundred and seventy kilometers from the city of Hanoi. The bay is famous for its numerous islands, of which there are three thousand. These islands are picturesque rocks, proud cliffs and mysterious caves. Ha Long is also the capital of Quang Ninh Province and there are no tourist attractions in the city itself. But Halong Bay itself, which in translation means “the bay where dragons dive”, has been taken under the protection of UNESCO since 1994, in 2011, was named “one of the seven new wonders of the world” and declared a miracle of nature, because here is the most famous landscape of Vietnam. Almost all the islands of this bay are rocky, there are thousands of caves with amazing stalactites and stalagmites, small, but beautiful waterfalls. Cave visits are the most popular tourist attraction, for vacationers in Vietnamese resorts. Many caves are decorated with lighting, and this makes them look a bit like underground palaces. Most often, tourists settle in hotels on Cat Ba Island to relax on the local coast. The tourist season in Halong Bay lasts all year round, but the ideal time to visit is September, October, April, May. The rainy season in this area falls in June, July, August, September.

- Danang- located on the coast Central Vietnam, is the provincial capital of Quang Nam Da Nang and the fastest growing and economically developing city in the country. Da Nang was founded in 192, it belonged to the Champa kingdom, but no ancient sights have survived from the old days. Everything was destroyed during the war with America. Today in Da Nang, a European tourist is a rarity, but in vain, since the resort's beaches are magnificent, albeit rather deserted. But the locals love to relax in this resort. And yet, if you get to rest in Da Nang, you can get acquainted with the following attractions: the Cham Sculpture Museum, a large statue of Buddha, Bana Mountain and Haiwan Pass, Maison ruins, Batma National Park, marble mountains. From Da Nang, tourists like to visit the city of Hoi An with excursions and ancient capital Hue. And yet, tours to Laos are popular from here. If during the day it is boring at this resort, then in the evening it flashes with lights, nightclubs open, though non-Europeans still prevail there. But the fact that urban infrastructure can offer everything necessary for quality rest, the fact that the city has some of the best and widest roads on which there are no traffic jams, and also, thanks to huge selection hotels of different categories - this resort is still ahead, a couple more years, and it will become very popular. And this is facilitated by the presence of an international airport, railway station, seaport, bus station. As for the weather, it is hot here in August, September, average temperature- thirty-three degrees. In the coldest season, in December, January, February, there are twenty degrees. The dry season, which falls on the months from January to August, is especially loved by tourists. The most successful months for the swimming season are from May to August, when there are almost no waves. The rainy season begins in September and ends in December, there are heavy rains, but for a short time after them the earth dries out instantly, although the humidity is increased. In September-October, typhoons and floods often hit this coast, but at this time the prices for holidays in Vietnam are the lowest.

Hoi an- small resort town located in the central part of the country. It is located twenty kilometers from Da Nang, on the banks of the Thu Bon River, just a few kilometers from sea coast. Formerly a city called Fifo, back in the sixteenth century, it was considered an important trading port. It must be said that Hoi An is one of those places where the atmosphere of past centuries has been perfectly preserved, as well as a favorite place for tourists. Since 1999, it has been under the protection of UNESCO, as an excellent example of a 15th-19th century southeast Asian trading city. It is often referred to as the "museum under open sky". There are almost eight hundred and fifty buildings here. historical significance: old houses in Chinese style, Cham temples, public buildings, grave complexes. Hoi An - also called the most romantic resort Vietnam, with its narrow old streets. There are many souvenir shops, sewing workshops. While relaxing in the city, you will not be left without a beach holiday, the beaches of Hoi An are just a few kilometers from the city center, you can get there by bike, taxi or free shuttle buses. Or, at all, you can stay in one of the Hoi An beach hotels, located right on the beach. The beaches here are amazing: all sandy, not crowded, clean. And the beaches are very picturesque and make great photos: along the beaches, numerous palm trees and casuarina trees lean towards the water. Diving is popular here, the prices for which are the lowest in the world. You can walk through the numerous cafes, restaurants and bars of the city, where you can taste inexpensive, but a wide variety of dishes. national cuisine.

Shopping in Hoi An is awesome: there are many sewing workshops, shops that make shoes and hats on their own, souvenir shops, and the catalog of goods is so huge that you definitely won’t leave without a purchase, you can order something, and the next day they will bring you your order directly to the hotel room. Hoi An is one of the most popular and beloved by our compatriots resort in Vietnam, and every fourth vacationer here is a Russian. The city has something to love, it has a well-developed tourist infrastructure, many different hotels, restaurants, a lot of supermarkets where you can buy food for next to nothing in order to save even more on food. But there are no nightclubs, discos in Hoi An, except for restaurants with a dance floor, working until late. This resort is considered year-round, but high tourist season here from January to August, the ideal time for the swimming season is from May to August. From September to January it is hot here, but it often rains for a short time, this is the time when you can save a lot on a trip, sometimes up to 30% of the cost of the tour at other times. The hottest months are August, September, the coldest, in the understanding of the word by the Vietnamese, namely - twenty degrees of heat - December, January, February. September-October on this coast is the time of typhoons, heavy rains, floods.

Nha Trang- the recognized capital of Vietnamese resorts and the capital of the province of Khanh Hoa, located in the Central part of the country. The famous beaches of Nha Trang are washed by the South China Sea. "Nha Trang", translated as "Mangrove River" or "Reed River". Back in the days when Vietnam was a French colony, Nha Trang was a modest fishing village, now it is a trendy resort where various interesting events and beauty contests, for example, Miss Asia, Miss Vietnam, in 2008, Miss Universe was held here. Nha Trang is the most popular resort in Vietnam, which is loved by both locals and Russian tourists. Especially for our compatriots, a new option was organized at the local airport "Cam Ranh" - "obtaining a visa on arrival." It is worth clarifying that a vacation of up to fifteen days for Russians in Vietnam is visa-free, and if you want to stay longer, then please get a visa. The city has a lot of Russian-speaking travel agencies, various cafes, shops, hotels with Russian-speaking staff, signs on the streets are duplicated in Russian, and every second tourist is Russian. Tourists are attracted here by rest on beautiful beaches, with healing springs and mud. Here you can get complex treatment, especially attracted by the local air, saturated with eucalyptus aromas, which has a beneficial effect on people with weakened immunity and those who suffer from respiratory diseases.

The length of local beaches is six kilometers. And they are also considered the most beautiful in Vietnam, with coconut palms covering vacationers from the scorching sun. Due to the fact that Nha Trang Bay is half closed from the sea by islands on one side and mountains on the other, the resort is not threatened by hurricanes and storms. The water here is amazingly clear and clean, reaching twenty-six degrees. If you come to rest at this resort with children, then be careful: the depth here is growing rapidly, a couple of meters from the shore - it's already deep! You don't get bored in the resort city, there are a great many restaurants, bars, cafes, nightclubs, discos, massage parlors, beauty salons, several diving centers. there are healing springs and mud. Nearby small islands allow tourists to engage in snorkeling, surfing, diving, and other water sports. Nearby is the island of Hon Che, connected to the resort by a long cable car, it has its own hotels, beaches, the Vinpearl amusement park, where children and adults will not be bored, and there is also an interesting night disco located inside an artificial mountain. There are natural, cultural and historical attractions in the city and its surroundings. Let's start from the funny island of Nha Trang Bay, completely inhabited by monkeys. And here is the Oceanographic Institute - one of the first research centers in the country, where more than eight thousand representatives of marine and freshwater fauna live. The Chinguyen Aquarium is also interesting - a large artificial lake with fresh water. One of the most interesting historical monuments of the seventeenth century is the Dien Khanh Citadel, rebuilt several times by different dynasties of rulers, from which several parts of the wall and gate have survived to this day. Long Son Pagoda, also known as Tinh Khoi Khanh Hoa Pagoda and Nam Phat Hoc Khoi Pagoda, is the most impressive local attraction. Behind the pagoda, on the top of the hill is the White Buddha - Kim Than Fat To. You can climb to the statue by a staircase consisting of one hundred and fifty-two steps. The composition was set in 1963, it depicts the Buddha sitting on a Lotus flower. The height of the Buddha is fourteen meters. The observation deck offers stunning views of Nha Trang. The Buddha can be seen from anywhere in the city. Interesting is the Cathedral of Nha Trang, built in 1928 from concrete blocks in the French Gothic style with multi-colored stained-glass windows. Here is the residence of the Bishop of Nha Trang. The towers of Po Nagar or Thap Ba - the Lady of the City - have stood on the site of Hindu religious ceremonies since the second century AD. The towers themselves were built in the seventh century. Nha Trang is a paradise for sex tourists, finding a priestess of love here is a trifling matter, she will find you herself if you take a walk around the evening city. But be careful, there is often theft, so keep your wallet and valuables in sight. The weather here is excellent all year round, the temperature does not drop below twenty-two degrees even at night. The rainy season here is from mid-October to mid-December. But the rains, although torrential, are short-lived and everything dries up quickly, it becomes clean again, sunny, you can swim and sunbathe. Indeed, strong winds low season can cause quite a big wave, it becomes difficult and dangerous to go into the sea, but this is a favorite time for surfers. Rarely in the rainy season there are hurricanes, typhoons, but prices drop sharply. The ideal time for a beach holiday is from January to August. The “season of storms” happens from November to mid-February, big waves form, but this does not affect the beach holiday - sunbathing on the shore, and you can swim in the hotel pool.

Phan Thiet or Mui Ne or Phan Thiet - the second popular Vietnamese resort among Russians. Gordes is located in the southern part of the country. Mui Ne is a resort of Phan Thiet, located twenty kilometers from the city center. The main part of the hotels and the most best beaches of this area are located along the coast between Phan Thiet and Mui Ne, called "Mui Ne Beach". The resort is so popular among our compatriots that local restaurants have menus in Russian, signs in Russian on the streets, all excursions are conducted in Russian, Russian films are shown in a local cafe, almost all resort shops are oriented to Russian, natives work there from the CIS. The beaches here are good, sandy, of course, not very picturesque, since there are no palm trees leaning towards the water, the color of the sand is not snow-white, and the wind and waves often bring garbage from the sea and make the water cloudy. But the beaches are well equipped: there are sunbed rentals, water activities, cafes, restaurants, board rentals, its own kiting school and surfing school. Mui Ne does not abound with nightlife, although they are available, there are many restaurants, massage parlors, the surroundings are famous for their natural, historical and cultural attractions. Mui Ne is a "mecca" for windsurfers and kiters. Phan Thiet is calmer than Nha Trang and more affordable in terms of prices. This is a year-round resort with an average annual temperature of twenty-nine degrees.

The lowest temperature during the year is a night temperature of twenty-five degrees. The rainy season lasts from May to October, the high season - from November to April. Throughout the year, it is windy in Phan Thiet, which makes it easier to feel the heat, but there are always waves on the sea, in the rainy season they are calmer, in the dry season they are quite strong, often interfere with swimming. The ideal time for surfing, windsurfing and kiting is January, February, March.

Phu Quoc Island- is located in Gulf of Thailand and is the largest island in Vietnam. Its size: forty-eight by twenty-five kilometers. Around it are numerous small islands that you can easily visit while relaxing in Phu Quoc. Due to the mountainous island relief, Phu Quoc is called the "island of ninety-nine mountains." It is often compared to the Thai island of Phuket, although Phu Quoc is less developed and equipped, it is quieter, there is not a great abundance of entertainment: discos, bars, shopping and sex tourism. This island is a quiet paradise - calm and secluded. At least once visited by tourists, they forever consider it their paradise island. The beaches here are the cleanest and most beautiful in the world, and the nature of the island is luxurious: majestic rainforests, beautiful mountains, rivers, waterfalls, rich flora and fauna. That is why eco-tourism lovers love to come here. While relaxing on the island, it is worth visiting the pearl farm and museum. It is worth noting that another name for the island is “Pearl”.

A popular entertainment for tourists is fishing not only for fish, but also for squid, crabs and other marine life. Another traditional tourist activity is diving. This is facilitated by the richest underwater world with beautiful coral reefs, the rarest species of underwater flora and fauna, and at the same time, completely transparent water. These conditions are also favorable for snorkeling. There is a diving center, equipment rental, excursions to distant beaches and nearby islands. In the evening, you can relax in restaurants specializing in the preparation of dishes from the freshest and most inexpensive seafood. Phu Quoc Island is part of the tropical hot climate zone, it is warm all year round. The high season runs from November to March. From April to June, the hot season lasts here, hotel prices are slightly reduced. The rainy season starts in July and lasts until September. At this time, it is warm, but rainy, and prices are minimal.

Con Dao Island- located in the southern part of the country, it is an archipelago of sixteen small islands. Tourists are offered an excellent secluded, exotic and quiet beach holiday, in addition, there are excellent opportunities for diving and snorkeling. The lion's part of the archipelago - territory national park, exotic animals, plants, a rich underwater world live here. A visit to the park is possible, both independently and in a group tour, and with an individual guide. I must say that the historical sights here are specific: the prison of political prisoners, where twenty thousand prisoners died, is now a museum. The next memorable place is the cemetery where those who died in prison are buried. There is also a temple on the island. The tourist infrastructure is not yet very developed, except for hotels and restaurants there is almost nothing else. The center of the island is the new city "Con Son Village", where there are excellent roads, here you can buy everything you need on the market, since there are no shopping centers here. But there are diving centers and travel agencies where you can buy a tour to nearby islands or an excursion to national park. The climate of Con Dao is tropical and warm. The dry season starts in December and lasts until April, the rainy season - from May to November. Diving and snorkeling is best done from February to July.

Vung Tau- a large resort city on the southern coast of Vietnam, located on Cape Saint Jacques. The city is a major commercial center, where oil fields are developed nearby, as well as oil production. There are many Russian-Vietnamese enterprises and many Russians living here, the largest Russian diaspora of Vietnam is located here, with its own microdistrict. Vung Tau is popular with both locals and foreigners. There is a good beach holiday, shopping and a lot of entertainment, a lot of different hotels. It is worth considering that the beaches in the city are not very clean, and the waves here are strong, which attracts kite surfers to these places. Of course, Vung Tau itself is a beach resort, with a huge stretch. But south of the city, the beaches are cleaner. Vung Tau does not have many attractions, there are temples, pagodas, a lighthouse and a giant statue of Jesus Christ, thirty meters high. On small island there is a temple that you can easily reach on foot at low tide, there is a local "Golgotha", where there is a huge statue of the Virgin Mary. During the day, you can take a walk in the city park, go to the Amusement Park on the mountain, visit the local market, shopping centers, lie down on the beach. Spend the evening in a cafe, restaurant, late-night bar or nightclub. Vung Tau is a year-round resort. The dry season starts in November and lasts until April, the rainy season goes from May to October, but the level of precipitation at this time is quite low.

Not a single tourist who once visited Vietnam will not remain indifferent to the magnificent rest at its resorts. Here you will be greeted by a special atmosphere of complete serenity, tranquility and joy, filled with an elusive echo of French charm.

The climate of Vietnam is diverse, this is due to the considerable length of the country. Comfortable weather can be found here all year round if you choose the right resort.

The rainy season falls on the summer months and early autumn. At this time, the rains stand like a wall, and it becomes stuffy from high humidity. But in the central region of the country there are several secluded bays, where it becomes uncomfortable only at the end of the year.

If the vacation falls on summer days, then it is preferable to go on vacation to the central region of Vietnam, in winter it is advisable to choose resorts that are located in the south or north of the country. An experienced tourist who has traveled half the world sooner or later leaves the beaten path of travel. In search of new experiences, he discovers Asia, far from being as comfortable as patriarchal Europe, and rich in dashing entertainment, as usual with, but no less attractive.

Vietnam, being on a par with Thailand the pearl of the Indochinese Peninsula, promises even a sophisticated traveler a lot of previously unknown experiences.

Vietnam or Thailand: which is cheaper?

When decision to visit asian resort accepted, it is worth asking yourself a question - why vietnam, and not , or, for example, their neighbors in Indochina Laos and Cambodia? As for the last two, one can definitely answer - the level of development of such a sector of the economy as tourism in these states cannot be compared with the Vietnamese one.

What about Thailand? After all, the Thais opened their doors to travelers from all over the world much earlier. Yes, Thailand's economy is focused on foreign visitors, but the tense political situation does not allow tourists to feel safe. In 2014, a military coup took place here, the echoes of which are still destabilizing the situation in the country. In addition, prices in Thai hotels and supermarkets is much higher than in Vietnamese.

By the way, about prices. In Vietnam, the most expensive vacation will cost on the northern coast. Central and southern regions countries profess a softer pricing policy in relation to their guests. Another plus for vacation in Vietnam is that prices here do not change depending on the season and remain low all year round.

This is interesting! According to legend, the Vietnamese are the fruit of the union of a dragon and a fairy bird. That is why the dragon is the most revered mythical animal in Vietnam.

With children at sea: when to pack on the road?

Due to the length of Vietnam from north to south, The country's climate is very diverse. and not always soft. The north will please with moderate heat from May to October. The rest of the time, although the weather is less favorable to the guests of the country, it still does not stand out as anomalies. These are subtropics - there is a lot of sun, a lot of rainfall and high humidity.

Another thing - capricious southern climate. The weather here is warm all year round, but in May the rainy season begins in this part of the country. Tropical showers turn into typhoons, and those into extensive floods. But since October, a lull sets in in the south - there is no particular heat, but winds with rains do not spoil the impressions of the rest.

And even such wayward weather plays into the hands of the tourist - You can visit Vietnam all year round: from May to October sunbathe and swim in the north, in the autumn-spring season - in the south. Average annual temperature here it varies from 22 to 25º C.

Contrary to popular belief, the main religion in Vietnam is not Buddhism, but traditional beliefs: the locals worship spirits, mythical animals, and the mother goddess.

During the day, everyday Vietnam resembles a large anthill, in which every resident is immersed in his worries with his head. And at night he does not stop, but on the contrary, with new force reborn into something new and mysterious. Night Vietnamese cities are famous for grandiose parties and sexual adventures. Seeing off the sun at sunset, people begin to celebrate. And it doesn't need a reason to do so. Such a tradition arose here during the Vietnam-American War, when, after hard days, the soldiers of the army of the United States of America took their souls away with noisy parties. Young Vietnamese were also often invited to them. The idea was so liked by the indigenous people that it was firmly rooted in their lives.

Don't lose your head from Vietnam at night. Be vigilant even under a degree of strong drinks. Do not make dubious acquaintances and do not invite to hotel room strangers. Indeed, often, when the morning comes and the veil of holiday euphoria leaves the eyes, travelers do not find a mysterious "night butterfly" near them, nor money, nor documents.

If you want to taste all the delights of the Vietnamese night emancipation, then feel free to go to the capital of the Republic of Hanoi and the northern metropolis of Ho Chi Minh, called Saigon in local circles. It is in these two centers that the nightlife of the country is concentrated. Even despite the prohibitions local authorities, bars, restaurants, gay clubs and other similar establishments, imitating their closing at midnight, continue to let customers in from the back door until the morning. Of course, not all nightclubs act this way, which should be taken into account when making plans for the night. Be prepared that you can not only be invited to a dance, but also be offered delicate services.

The famous Saigon club "Apocalypse Now" is considered a leader in the Vietnamese sex industry. It has existed for several decades and does not lose the status of the main sex attractions of the republic. There are so many pretty priestesses of love in this institution that it will be oh so difficult to choose. You can recognize the institution even from a distance by bright signs and barkers that hang around the doors with a simple slogan “lady, boom”. Along with brothels, street prostitution is also flourishing in the country. Often on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi you can meet pimps riding motorcycles with a frightening menacing look.

Guests of the capital and resort Nha Trang will also be provided with erotic massage. In such salons, local bars are full of people any day and at any time of the year. Most of them are foreign tourists. But the Vietnamese themselves also do not refuse fun.

Other Vietnamese cities, especially resorts, also live their own nightlife, but, as a rule, it lasts only until midnight.

In search of hot entertainment in Vietnam, do not forget about contraception. At first glance, this seems like a silly reminder for schoolchildren. But practice shows that in the heat of passion and drunk alcohol, tourists forget about elementary condoms, as a result of which they return from vacation with a bunch of venereal diseases.

There are many places where you can relax from the heart in Vietnam at night. For example, several metropolitan clubs:

  • "Funky Monkey" (address: 31 Hang Thung) - known for a variety of cocktails, pool games, exotic dances and musical preferences in the style of house, trance or techno;
  • R & R Tavern (address: 10 Tho Nhuom St) - famous for excellent beer, rock music and unforgettable landscapes that open directly from the terrace;

  • "The Spotted Cow" (address: 23C Hai Ba Trung) - lovers of football, billiards, darts and beauties pave the way here.

Accommodation Features

Vietnam is unique country not only with respect to tropical exotic fauna and flora. Also here are not quite usual conditions for us to move along the streets, live and have a very specific cuisine. Let's consider everything in order.
