How to get to the old Gagra. Bus from Adler. Stations and stops along the route

Going to Abkhazia, tourists ask a completely logical question: how to get from Adler to Gagra? More precisely, everyone is interested in the road to the Abkhazian border, as well as its crossing and further way to the destination. Let's look at all the possible options, of course, they are few, but still they are.

Why to Gagra from Adler?

Most often, tourists are interested in the question: how to get from Adler to Gagra? Ask why exactly from Adler? Everything is very simple. The fact is that this resort border town, which is one of the Sochi districts, has become for travelers a kind of obligatory transit point on the way to Abkhazia.

However, not all vacationers are concerned about the question of how to get from Adler to Gagra by public transport. This applies to those tourists who travel by car. own car. In this case, on the way to your destination, you will encounter off-road in some places.

Well, everyone else will have to think about how to get from Adler to Gagra with less loss of time, effort, and also with the lowest financial costs.

Transfer

For those who do not intend to save on vacation, you can order and pay for a transfer to Abkhazia ahead of time. Then, having arrived in Sochi, you will not rush about and think about how to get from Adler to Gara. You can fully relax and taste the southern air. If you think about it, when choosing accommodation for a vacation, we try to find the most acceptable options in order to relax comfortably. Although it cannot be said that we are sitting in the room all the time, most people come home only in the evening. But nevertheless, I want some more or less comfortable conditions to enjoy long-awaited vacation. Therefore, if you can afford to pay for a transfer, then this will be the most acceptable option. Then you no longer need to think about how best to get from Adler to Gagra, you took care of it in advance. Resting in comfort is much more pleasant. The transfer costs about two thousand rubles.

local taxi

And if you do not think over the nuances of the trip, then enterprising local taxi drivers will immediately take care of you, as soon as you have time to enter the land of Adler. I would like to note that the Sochi "bombs" are apparently good psychologists, since in a matter of seconds they are able to identify among the crowd those tourists who should be directed all their eloquence. They are on duty day and night on the outskirts of the airport and train station. Taxi drivers will never tell you where you need to go to get on this or that type of transport, because it is not profitable for them. Even having passed from those who want to earn extra money, it is not always possible to find the right transport along your route.

Possible options

So, let's discuss all the possible options that a tourist can use to get to their destination. We hope that our information will be useful for you and will help you decide in advance which route to choose. Everyone has their own preferences regarding transport, so it's up to you to decide. And our task is only to suggest all known options.

electric train

How to get from Adler to Gagra? The train is perhaps the most acceptable option. The fact is that it is most convenient to cross the border by train, because you do not need to go out and get luggage to pass passport control, crowd in queues near the transport control. Therefore, you can take the Adler-Gagra train.

By this route you can leave from the Adler (railway) station, for example, on the Moscow train 306-M (Moscow-Sukhumi). It makes only a few stops along the way. One of them is the village of Veseloye (for border control), and the second - Tsandripsh station. Well, the last stop is Gagra. From here it is already quite easy to get, for example, to New Athos. The journey from Adler to Gagra takes almost three hours. A ticket in a reserved seat car will cost from 500 to 600 rubles.

How to get from to Gagra?

The railway station in Adler is the closest point in the city to the Abkhazian border. But those tourists who prefer to get to the city by plane still need to get to the airport. To do this, you can use bus number 51 or minibus 124. In principle, the journey is no more than half an hour, but if traffic jams occur, it can take an hour. Then you can get from the station to Gagra by train or train.

Bus from Adler

The 173rd bus runs regularly from Adler from the airport. It follows to the border with Abkhazia. And in summer time there is still a 40th minibus. The fare is 20-50 rubles. The journey takes about thirty minutes.

Buses go to the stop "Cossack market" or "Psou". And then you will have to walk a couple of hundred meters to the border point. Of course, with bags it is not very convenient. After your documents are checked at the border, you can take a minibus or bus that goes to Gagra.

However, it should be borne in mind that at night and early in the morning public transport from Adler does not go. In the summer, given the greater demand, the number of flights is increased. They go from eight to twenty-two hours.

How to get from Psou to Gagra

Of course, you can save a lot by using public transport. From Psou to Gagra can be reached for seventy rubles. But if you have luggage with you, it is easier to take a taxi. But you only need to know the real fare, which is four hundred rubles. Sometimes especially enterprising taxi drivers inflate the cost.

On the station square Psou traffic from early morning until late evening. Here stand intercity buses And fixed-route taxis, which follow in the resort including in Gagra. An interesting fact is that the data vehicles do not have serial numbers. Each bus has a sign with the name of that locality where he should go. So we cannot accurately indicate the route number to Gagra.

The buses indicate the following popular Alakhadzy, New Athos, Sukhum, Agudzera, Dranda, etc. Wherever you decide to go, remember that before you move along the Sukhumi highway, you can wait a long time for the moment when Finally, the interior of the minibus will be filled with tourists. If you're lucky, things will go quickly. However, as a rule, the process takes no more than half an hour. The exception is intercity buses, which depart from the bus station according to the schedule.

Advantages and disadvantages of buses

When thinking about how to get from the Adler station to Gagra, remember that the bus is the most cheap option. However, this method has many disadvantages in the form of a long travel time, transfers and queues. So think carefully before making your choice.

Thank you and have a nice holiday.

Last summer, my fiance and I decided to go on vacation to Abkhazia. I understand that this will seem strange to someone, because one could choose a different direction and drive somewhere to Egypt or Turkey. But we decided to go to that place and that sanatorium, where we still rested with children. Nostalgia for the past...
Gagra is certainly not what it once was, but it still has not lost its attractiveness. After a few days spent on the beach, we decided to go on an excursion to Sukhum.

Travelling by car

Gagra and Sukhum are not so far from each other. A distance of 80 km can be easily overcome in an hour by car, but this is provided that you do not stop along the way. Although, frankly, it is hard to resist the views that you will observe from the window, because the journey will run along the Black Sea)). In any case, you will want to stop to admire seascapes and take a couple of photos.
Regarding the condition of the roads along this route, they are not ideal. There are bumps, pits, but in general, I can put a four with a plus sign)).

But I want to note right away that this flight is not available every day, especially in the non-holiday season. As a rule, in winter, in autumn, this train runs once or twice a week, and already in summer - five or six.

Therefore, be sure to check the schedule of departures at the railway station in Gagra or view this information on the Russian Railways website. I will indicate the web page of the Russian railway below.

Namely, this is how the boarding of a passenger train takes place.

Outcome

My husband and I traveled by bus. It was unrealistically hot, the air conditioner worked poorly, perhaps it simply could not cope with the load, because it was more than 37 degrees outside! It would be possible to travel by rail, but on the day we traveled, this flight was not available ((. Therefore, I recommend that you plan your trip in advance and use the trains, of course it will also be hot there, but you may be lucky and get a normal air conditioner) ).

Somehow we decided to go to one of the most famous resorts former USSR- Gagra. Today the city belongs to Georgia, Abkhazian territory. By tradition, before the trip, we chose the most profitable option for arriving in Gagra. We will now tell you which of them turned out to be the best.

How to get there by car

There were two routes for driving a car, however, given possible problems on the Russian-Georgian border, we chose the path through the Russian-Abkhazian border, through tourist cities- , . We start the journey from Moscow, preferably in the morning, early, we leave in the direction of Voronezh. We drive along the Moscow Ring Road or through the Tsaritsyno area to the M4 international highway and drive to the town of Vidnoe. Well, here we are, the track is good, though in some places there are a lot of cameras, you should not rush to drive. On the way to Voronezh we pass through the towns of Fedyukovo, Kalinovka, then goes Redkino, a town near Moscow. We continue to move strictly south towards Voronezh, the route is still the same. We drive towards the town of Nemtsovo, then Myasnoye. After Myasnoye we drive for a long time in a straight line, the route is still the same, M1 or E115, to the town of Sokolov Pustyn. Here we move across the bridge, and again to the south, along the M1 highway. After we go to Barabanovo (the main thing here is not to confuse the road), after it the village. We continue our way - Petropavlovskoye, Krasnye Ozera, Kobylinka, then in a straight line to the south, past Volov and Efremov. It’s not far to Voronezh, we pass the city, and here we are almost in Voronezh. The route to Voronezh is good everywhere, the asphalt is neat, but the traffic is high during the day.

After Voronezh, it’s already a little easier to go, we still continue to move south, we go to the town, after it to Millerovo and Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, along the border of Ukraine. Here the road in places, to be honest, is not very good, there may be potholes, in some places there is no asphalt at all (!), But there is no high workload, we will get to Rostov normally. We follow after Kamensk-Shakhtinsky to the cities of Shakhty, Novocherkassk, and Rostov-on-Don itself. After Rostov we go south to Krasnodar. The road is generally not bad, along the way there are many gas stations and cafes where you can have a bite to eat. You don't have to remember the cities in the direction of Krasnodar - there are many signs and signs everywhere, reminding you of the direction of the path towards the city. After Krasnodar we go to Saratovskaya, then Dzhubga. Well, we almost arrived, then we follow to, Adler and Gagra themselves. Time at the border will not be taken away if you explain that you are a tourist. The whole road will take about 20-22 hours of travel, taking into account the border of Russia and Abkhazia.

How to get there by bus

The most profitable option for the road - Gagra is, of course, the train, however, if possible, you can get there by car, the plane is also inexpensive, but not every airline organizes a bus from Adler Airport to Gagra, you will have to try to find a similar one.

Gagra ... in the Soviet years - all-Union famous resort. Beaches, sanatoriums, rest houses and all the infrastructure for those years - was the dream of any Soviet employee. Vouchers were distributed, passed on through connections, just to spend the cherished vacation with maximum comfort.

Those who were less fortunate were content with offers from the private sector: rooms, plywood houses, amenities in the yard, but for that, the sea and the sun, fruits, which were expensive in Moscow, not to mention other cities where the supply was so-so.

Now, of course, the choice of resorts is greater, despite closed Turkey with Egypt. So lovers of nostalgia, especially those who lived in the private sector, can check and remember their youth by driving along a familiar route.

There are no direct trains from Moscow to Gagra; you can get there from the Kursk railway station of the capital.

On its way, the train passes such major stations as: Ryazan, Voronezh, Rostov, Krasnodar, Tuapse, Adler.

Distance between Gagra and Moscow railway about 1700 kilometers, which train 306M and 306C in reverse direction passes in 1 day 13 hours.

How and can you save on this route?

1. Air travel:
There is currently no direct flight to either Gagra or Sukhum. The nearest airport is Adler. You can fly there now on a relatively budgetary basis: from 2500 rubles low-cost airline Pobeda offers tickets, a little more expensive you can fly with Aeroflot, Utair and Ural Airlines. Travel time is just over 2 hours. A plus will be the cost of a taxi to the place or bus.

2. Vehicles:
With a consumption of 8 liters of gasoline per 100 km and the cost of gasoline on average 35 rubles per liter, we get 136 liters * 35 rubles = 4760 rubles + depreciation and other expenses for the maintenance of the car.
Of the benefits - your own car at hand upon arrival at the place and the absence of the need and cost of public transport or taxis. Of the minuses, given the distance, a long journey with meals + a hotel for several nights. If traffic jams are not afraid, you can go.

3. Judging by the sites of aggregators, buses to Gagra from Moscow run, but with very big amount transfers, because such a trip is meaningless.
