The M4 road goes straight to Moscow, the surface is in good condition. The road passes through big cities so finding accommodation for the night is not difficult.

But the track has paid sections, on the official website of the Avtodor company, paid sections are indicated, as well as detour schemes.

In the south-east of Crimea, there is an old small cozy village - Paradise, but in 1912, after Nicholas II visited the estate of Prince Golitsyn, the village was renamed Novyi Svet. Since ancient times, the village has been famous for the production of unique sparkling wines, and the champagne factory still continues to exist, adhering to traditional technologies. A unique and memorable journey will be the route from Sudak to the New World.

How to get to Novy Svet from Sudak?

The best option is to walk, because the distance is only about six kilometers, but looking around the surroundings and sights along this route, you may not notice the distance traveled, and what you see will not leave anyone indifferent.

The journey begins with the settlement Uyutnoe, which used to be a colony and lived there:

  • Germans invited by Catherine II;
  • Grow gardens;
  • Vineyards;
  • They made wine.

But in the forty-first year they were evicted. The Lutheran church was built right next to this colony, and to this day it stands as a reminder of the antiquity of times.

  • "Crimean Spring";
  • Sanatorium "Falcon".

Behind the bridge connecting the boarding house and the sanatorium, having passed from the central alley to the sea, the traveler will find himself in the most ancient part of the village of Sudak. In the same place, the foundations and fragments of the walls of an ancient historical temple were found.

Past the bay and the juniper grove

Then the road flattens out a bit. To the right, the smooth wall of the Falcon rises almost vertically. On the left, a forest grows that descends to the sea. And the air is filled with the aroma of the unique juniper tree and of course the blue bewitching sea!

Further bypassing the stop there is a memorial tree, which from time to time is cleared of tied ropes, and just this place will be half of the route traveled from Sudak to Novyi Svet. Then the descent to the military unit, and finally, before the turn, you can see two wild beach. If you wish, you can visit the beach and swim in the cool sea, especially if the pagoda favors this.

From the descent, on a cliff above the sea, a view of the Bay of Seleniya opens. You can, of course, go to the New World along the usual road. It's easy, safe and very boring, mundane. Stunning nature, curves of the road, steep descents and ascents, an incredible panorama of the sea.

All this splendor cannot be seen when traveling by car, and IF you turn onto a path that is clearly visible from the road and go down to the New World, you can find yourself in a broken barbed wire at the very beginning of the Novy Svet beach, and the route ends here - a walk from Sudak to the New World.

Golitsyn's path

This route is also called the Golitsyn trail. The passage passes through the rock, steps are cut into the rock itself. Previously, this trail was paid, but now you can walk along it completely free of charge, make many wonderful and unique shots, for a long memory completely free.

And of course, such a journey will leave an indelible feeling of delight in the soul. It is impossible to describe, to convey in words all the feelings that are experienced at this moment, you can only truly feel it after going all this way, from beginning to end, on foot.
