Where is the grove in Kabardinka?
The tract with this name is located in the northwestern suburbs. Behind the territory of the children's health camp "Znamya" there are two guest houses - it is behind them that the paths of a unique, in size, "observation platform" already begin.

Description and history
The "zakaznik" owes its origin to botanists who proved that the Kabardian juniper, which grows on an area of approximately 250 by 200 meters, is not found anywhere else in the world. By the way, it also grows above the track. But the fact is that those places are no longer considered Kabardinka as such, and there are no shops there either.
So, the quarters on Proletarskaya, the Kirovets sanatorium and the Znamya camp (northwestern Kabardinka) were left behind. The juniper grove is already 100 meters away. Above the road there is a whole thicket, and below there is a slope (or rather, its upper beginning), leading to the sea. This fragment of it is equipped as a zone for viewing the surroundings (from here you will see scenic view to the northwestern village Castal font, Kid `s camp"October" and the same name with locality hotel).
The "lower end" of the panorama is a new beach, also called "Juniper Grove". The main flora of the described location is relic juniper and Pitsunda pine. On the sides, this "bridgehead" is limited by institutions of the same name: guest estates and car camping (common bathroom and area for tents).
Not far away, closer to the center of the town, the recreation center " juniper park» (parking lot, stall, bungalow, canteen). By the way, to all of them (through a thicket of shady coniferous forest) lead well-trodden paths. But the infrastructure looks rather dilapidated, including all the slopes to the shore - almost nothing has been reconstructed here since Soviet times.
Rest in the Juniper Park
In addition to the shops observation platform"Juniper Grove" has handrails, fences. Somewhere all this is under a canopy from the sun. There is even an information stand. In general, everything is like in the sights of the same name in the Crimea (village New World, urban district of Sudak).
The beach "Juniper Grove" ("Banner") is an equipped swimming area - with changing rooms, rental of sun loungers and umbrellas, garbage containers and water activities. It is 600 m long and can accommodate 3,000 people. It is a strip of pebbles (no more than 15-20 meters wide) and a footpath slightly rising above it. There are old playgrounds. This bathing area is limited to "Kabardinka" and "Azure". Revolutionary Street here comes as close to the water as possible, but the descent is steep.
It remains to be recalled that any variety of juniper fills the air with antiseptic essential substances that can heal the nasopharynx. In total, in the area of this suburb of Gelendzhik, there are about 1,000 hectares of such plantations, mainly to the north, that is, above the village itself. A walk on a steep slope will increase the general tone of your body, and will also show you rare Caucasian flowers. The local juniper creates coolness and freshness to the northwest of Kabardinka.
How to get (get there)?
It is easy to find yourself in this suburban park, because the descent here starts right from the M-4 federal highway (you should stop at the beginning of an impressive embankment that does not allow vehicles to move onto hiking trails). And then go on foot. The closest place to this location, if you start from the highway, is the Znamya DOL. You can also climb this part of the slope from below. In the vicinity of the village of Novyi Svet, there is a landscape-national botanical reserve, in which unique plants grow. Interestingly, the resinous trunks of the treelike are twisted, torn by sharp barren rocks on which these trees survive and grow. Every knot on the trunk, every twist, every scuff on the bark is like a heavy sigh stretched out over the centuries.
It should be noted that climatic conditions in the village of Novyi Svet are extremely favorable - almost all year round it is warm and sunny here, and these are exactly the conditions that are needed for a unique juniper. Juniper trees alternate with at least unique plant- rocky and fluffy oak.
In this place, the air is filled with phytoncides of pine and juniper, the smell of herbs mountain range and sea breeze. This healing air is considered an excellent means of preventing and treating diseases of the bronchi and lungs. Even on a hot summer day, it is surprisingly easy and free to breathe here.
Other types of unique vegetation
Stankevich's pine was once widespread along the entire coast Crimean peninsula. But at present it can only be found in the region of Sevastopol and in the new world in the Crimea. This unique rare plant has been growing on cliffs and rocky slopes for about 200 years. Pines have a spreading crown, and their bark has a light gray color. Cones in relation to the branches are located at an acute angle. The needles are thin, light green, up to 17 cm long.
Here you can find many rare protected plants. You can see the fluffy oak, sessile oak, meet pistachio pistachio, ash and maple. Among rare plants prickly juniper, dogwood, derzhiderevo, goat willow, skumpia grow. Visitors to the reserve can see plants listed in the Red Book of Ukraine. Among them - yellow asphodelina, two-flowered tulip, stone-loving feather grass. In total, the reserve has 18 endemic plant species and 20 plant species that are rare or endangered.
Forests and groves located in this unique place are a living monument of those distant centuries when mammoths, saber-toothed tigers, and cave bears lived here. And now here you can see the remains of the ancient vegetation of the Cenozoic era, which lasted 60 million years.
Visit to the reserve
"New World" is a state botanical reserve and has a high national and international conservation status. It is part of the natural reserve fund of Ukraine and is part of the world system natural areas. The reserve is under special protection of the state.
A visit to the New World occurs only along two ecological routes, which are called ecological trails. Routes start at the border of the reserve, where special checkpoints are located. Five types of juniper are common in the Crimea: tree-like, red, smelly, Cossack and hemispherical. The last two species grow mainly on yayla and are weaving shrubs. The smelly juniper is listed in the Red Book and can only be found in the Crimean nature reserve. Tree-like and red are quite common, it is these species that prevail in the juniper grove in Simeiz. It is quite easy to recognize this tree; its needles are very similar to cypress, the crown has the shape of a pyramid, the trunk is reddish with cracks, and the fruits are black-purple cones.
Juniper holds many mysteries. These trees are able to grow on bare rocky cliffs, what they feed on remains a mystery to scientists, although some specimens live for several thousand years. Despite many attempts, it has never been possible to grow juniper artificially, only in the wild, spread in the litter of animals and birds, can the berries germinate. The value of juniper is difficult to overestimate, 1 hectare of such a grove is capable of releasing up to 30 kg of phytoncides per day, which in turn could purify the air major metropolis. Such air is extremely useful and can cure many pulmonary diseases. In medicine, juniper and its oils are widely used to treat kidneys, joints, and skin diseases. The berries of this tree are widely used in cooking, they are especially good as a seasoning for meat.
