Quiet Bay (Koktebel)

Silent Bay is one of the most beautiful corners east coast Crimea.

A quiet bay is a 40-minute walk from Koktebel, which overlooks Cape Chameleon. The name of the cape was due to its ability to change color depending on the time of day. During the day, it can change its colors from dark purple to golden orange, which of course bewitches.

The bay is named Quiet because even in bad weather the sea is always calm here, thanks to the unique location of the bay, surrounded on all sides by hills.

One of the most quiet places for recreation in the Koktebel area.

The bay is almost always calm, so the water here is crystal clear. The bottom is shallow. This is a beach in the form of a long arc, where everyone can find cozy place for relax.

Jasper Beach (Cape Fiolent)

To the east of Cape Fiolent, at the foot of the cliff, there is Jasper Beach. The most beautiful beach in Sevastopol. It got its name thanks to the jasper, which was previously found here, and even now the sea sometimes brings stones with reddish patches ashore.

The beach is wild, really clean and not crowded even at the peak of the season, this allows you to fully enjoy the beauty of the sea coast. Previously, to get to the beach, one had to go down to the sea along a staircase of 800 steps. Now there is a convenient infrastructure like on city beaches, but there are more tourists.

Almost the entire territory of the beach, which is 450 meters long, is covered with large pebbles, and the bottom is covered with large stones.

Swimming in the sea is best when it is calm. The sea on Fiolent is emerald green, and the water is clean and clear.

Right in front of the beach, the rock of the Holy Apparition rises from the water, which is associated with Christian history. Here, according to legend, Saint George appeared to the shipwrecked sailors and saved them from the storm. Miraculously, the surviving sailors founded a monastery on this site.

Laspinskaya Bay (Cape Ai-ya)

Laspi bay is another great place Crimean coast for a quiet holiday.

Enchanting beauty of nature, emerald water in Laspinskaya bay, air filled with aroma juniper groves, a unique view of the Crimean mountains surrounding the bay, make this place fabulously attractive. Laspinskaya Bay, with a wide pebble beach, rests on the high Cape Aya, which abruptly breaks off to the sea.

Laspi Bay is located between Yalta and Sevastopol. Thanks to the climatic conditions, Laspi is one of the the best places in Crimea.

In winter, the temperature here does not fall below +5 degrees. Located between Cape Aya and Cape Sarych, the southernmost point of Crimea, the bay is protected from strong winds, and a light sea breeze gives the air a special freshness.

The Black Sea coast is considered to be one of the best in the world. In total, there are more than 500 beaches in Crimea for every taste, color and budget. Last years actively developing in Crimea tourism infrastructure, which allows it to compete with the beaches of Egypt, Bulgaria and Tunisia.

You can talk about the beaches of the Crimean peninsula for a very long time. They are really diverse, beautiful and have the dignity to greatly surprise vacationers.

How else, if only there are several dozen types of sand, and there are also pebble beaches. But regardless of the variety, all places of rest are ideal for lazy sunbathing in the sun, active pastime and walking with children.

What are the beaches on the west coast

If you look at the map of the peninsula, then your eyes will stop at the northernmost Crimean beach, located near the village of Portovoye. This is the old Sary-Bulat, which is a shallow bay, deeply cut into the land. The sand here is really golden in color. The sun is in abundance in these places, but there are not so many large and long beaches: for all 120 km of the coast there are only 30 km of places for a comfortable stay.

The coast of Tarkhankut is not distinguished by the habitation of the coast, it is mostly steppe, however, there are also lovely romantic coves here. But there won’t be enough of them for everyone, so let’s talk about more extended places of rest, for example, Bakalskaya Spit. This is a huge beach, shaped like a semicircle and covering a bay with a shallow bottom.

The water here warms up quickly and at the very beginning of May you can open the swimming season, when the water temperature is +17. It is only important not to take the kids right away, they will have to wait until the end of May. Another nuisance for kids is a high wave. The length of sandy beaches is up to 2 km, the width in some places is up to 45 meters - there is enough space for everyone! It often storms, but the air is saturated with sea salts, which are important for the treatment of the respiratory system.

Bakalskoye Lake will please, like other estuaries of the west and north-west. No high wave, however, the waters are saturated with salts, although they are warm. Low slopes of the bottom are often covered with silt, however, healing. But after swimming in a silt bath, you can run across to the other side of the estuary and plunge into the purest transparent waters. The sandy beach has a width of up to 25 meters, but the length is “as long as the eyes are enough”, so there is no hustle and bustle here.

Another good sandy beach near the village of Mezhvodnoe. The bay is called Yarylgachskaya, it is also shallow, located between two sandy bays up to 5-7 meters wide, which are the beaches. In the extreme west there is Karadzhinskaya Bay, on the beaches of which it is always a pleasure to relax. A bay, a sandy bay almost 150 meters long and 25 meters wide, then a lake - a place suitable for swimming with the whole family.

And, of course, this is the Lazurnoye resort, with its gentle and clean sandy mounds up to 15 meters wide and warm huge lake Donzulav. But there is also the Kalamitsky Bay and the beaches of Evpatoria. Certainly, western Crimea- this is the steppe, but how warm and rich in the sun!

So, . This real paradise for families with kids. bathing season it opens early, and there are a huge number of beaches - the whole South coast the city is suitable for recreation. Here, the golden necklace of sandy shores is interspersed with lakes of various sizes: Sasyk-Sivash, Saki Lake, Kizil-Yar and many other smaller lakes. The peculiarity of the beaches is their small size, up to 15 m wide and up to 150-200 m long, as well as in the composition: more and more often small pebbles are mixed with the sand. Bottom slopes are sharper, you can dive, there is less silt - such beaches are well suited for adults and older children, kids, playing in shallow water, can get lost.

Near the villages of Nikolaevka, Beregovoe, Sandy beaches are narrow, sand with pebbles. The advantage is in the constant care of recreation areas and the presence of lifeguards due to steep slopes. The beaches are often sprinkled with fresh clean sand, landscaped and looked after the coastline. To the south, a strip of “wild” beaches begins, chosen by nudists, informals and tourists who cannot stand crowds. Almost to Sevastopol, the coastal zone is empty, but here there are beautiful small bays, cozy sand and pebble strips, where there is always a place for a quiet and relaxing holiday.

But near the village of Lyubimovka there is a beautiful wide beach with sand and gravel, gentle slopes and warm water. Wide, spacious, suitable for children and adults, the beach is almost 200 meters long and up to 35 meters wide.

Of course, you can consider and, especially since they are almost all protected from winds and storms. But stagnant water is fraught with other problems for bathers, so it is better to only sunbathe here, but not to swim.

What are the beaches on the South Coast

The south of Crimea is full of beach strips for every taste. Already in Sevastopol the cleanest beaches, which are washed by the cleanest waters: Batiliman, Laspi Bay. There is a special atmosphere because of the ridge Crimean mountains protecting the shore from gusts of wind. Breathe in sea ozone, soak up salt spray and expose your body to the gentle sun - a vacation is as wonderful as it is healthy.

It should be noted that the beaches of the South Coast have little sand, there is often a pebble with fine and coarse gravel. Laspi Bay offers wide coastal areas up to 25 meters, the length of the beaches varies up to 100 meters. But Batiliman is a little “richer”, here there are beaches up to 250 meters long, but rather narrow, 15 meters. southwestern part from Cape Aya to Ai-Todor - a vacation for the whole family. Small bays with clear water are interspersed with wide coastal zones, clean due to coarse pebble inclusions. Not every storm will mix such a bottom, so there are practically no silt deposits here, which makes swimming even more enjoyable.

South coast beach areas are harmoniously woven into the sanatorium areas. These are Massandra, Foros, Alupka, Livadia sanatoriums resort areas. And, of course, Miskhor, with its artificial clean recreation areas made of small pebbles. Miskhor Park is considered the warmest place on the peninsula, so there are never enough tourists here. The width of the coastal strip reaches 28-30 meters, but the length of the beaches is from 60 to 150 meters - choose for yourself, and do not forget about the extremely cheerful mountain "Bublik", where the brightest minds of the past liked to walk and current "stars" do not disdain to be photographed.

A little further, beyond the borders of Ai-Todor, the coastline is no longer distinguished by evenness - here you can find both quiet bays and mighty capes. But, the Gurzuf beaches, as well as the coastal zone of Partenit, are wonderful for family and secluded recreation, semicircular bays are often found here, protected from all sides by mountains. The picturesque nature of the South Coast everywhere has the imprint of a constant struggle between land and sea: landslides, storms, storms, waves, and surf are not uncommon. But this only adds to the charm of the beaches, once again cleans the pebbles and gravel and changes the size of the coastal strip.

To maintain balance and ecology, limestone rocks are preserved on the South Coast. Among other things, the mountain peaks Koshka, Sultanka, Adalary, and others are incredibly beautiful and are especially revered by straight people, that is, people who do not want to hide their bodies under swimsuits. Therefore, when going to these mountains with children, be careful - nudist beaches are quite common here. Interesting feature: the smaller the settlement, the better the beach. This can be said about many coastal villages, especially loved by "wild" tourists who come with tents and sleeping bags. To the credit of the vacationers, they do not harm all other travelers in any way and the beaches remain clean and pleasant for relaxing and swimming.

And if you want to visit the beaches visited by the Crimeans, then go to Massandra, Foros, Kastropol. and Yalta attract only tourists, although they are distinguished by cleanliness, the breadth of the coastal zone and sufficient length. But it is the Massandra beaches, rather small (up to 20-25 m wide and 100 m long), scattered along the entire coast, that beckon with their beautiful views, silence and few people.

What are the beaches on the east coast

The east coast is famous for its sand and gravel beaches, but pebbles are also common. From Alushta to Sudak, the coastal zone is rich in small secluded "islands" of recreation, literally squeezed into the mouths of mountain streams. The width of such beaches is rarely more than 15-20 meters, but as soon as the territory is supposed to be turned into a resort, artificial beaches are poured, ennobled and they look quite good. However, to make a choice in favor of a natural or artificial beach, it is enough to walk along the coastline, it is large and extremely comfortable for walking.

The big Alushta valley is especially good for festivities. But when traveling with children, be careful, the famous nudist camps "Junk", "Limonia" literally "jump out" in front of your eyes. The Koktebel beach lost a lot after it was backfilled, but nudists feel very at ease here. For pure nature, it is better to go to Dead Bay, behind Cape Chameleon. A slightly scary name should not scare you: clean white sand and wonderful swimming will give you a great mood!
