The project started in December 2007. Until July 7, 2009, the nomination and preliminary selection of candidates took place. As a result, a list of 77 candidates was formed. On July 21, 2009, the expert council of the competition selected 28 finalists from among them, who were admitted to the general vote. Voting continued until November 11, 2011. During this time, more than 1 million votes were cast.

So, on November 11, 2011, on the day of "three eleven", the new seven wonders of nature were announced. They became:

About the competition

The organizer of this competition, the New Open World Corporation, has already held elections under the name "Seven New Wonders of the World", but then the famous architectural structures peace. Voting took place via SMS, telephone, Internet and ended on a beautiful date - 07.07.07.
