The great journey of the four Belyaevs. With an organized tour. Ticket prices

We could not be in Nha Trang again and again not go to the beloved city of Dalat. We bought bus tickets from Nha Trang to Dalat at the carrier's office in the city center. The next day we had a difficult 4-hour road from Nha Trang to Dalat through a mountain pass.

If I knew in advance the upcoming road to Dalat, then ... And how much does a plane ticket cost there? :)

Nha Trang - Dalat. How to get there and where to buy a ticket

In Nha Trang, tickets can be bought at such a pretty Sinhtourist office. And you don’t have to go to the bus station on the outskirts of Nha Trang, as other bloggers advise. The price of a bus ticket from Nha Trang to Dalat is 109 thousand VND ($5). You can also buy tickets online on the 12GO Asia website.

Tip: ask for a seat in the middle of the cabin, otherwise the rear ones may get there, it shakes more strongly.

The bus departs at 7:30 am from the Singh Tourist office, which is located on the second street, not far from the Liberty Hotel.

Coordinates: 12.236033, 109.195494

We reached the office in 5 minutes at 7.15, gave a printout of tickets, received boarding passes and some water, then waited another 15 minutes and loaded onto the bus. We were the only Russians. The rest are French and Chinese. Pre-drank pills for motion sickness.

The bus is designed for 29 seats. It's not cold in the cabin. We rode in shorts and did not freeze. But take a warm blouse and socks anyway, just in case, take with you. Travel time is exactly 4 hours. There is no toilet on the bus, but we made one stop for 20 minutes about an hour and a half after departure.

Bus Nha Trang - Dalat The SinhTourist for 29 seats

We made a stop at a restaurant where you could have a bite to eat, warm up and go to the toilet. The restaurant is decent with beautiful bridges and cozy pavilions. We saw trees with breadfruit.

Road through the mountains to Dalat. Extreme begins

After the stop, the most interesting began. And for me, the worst. The road to Dalat promotes the release of adrenaline into the blood

Even if you are not a naive tourist who is firmly convinced that nothing will happen to him on vacation, because everything is paid for, then you, too, will flinch at least a few times along the way.

The road through the mountains takes about an hour and a half and consists of some sharp turns. It is narrow and two-lane. Every time the driver starts to overtake someone in the opposite direction, it seems that a little more and you will fly into the abyss.

One of the many blurred sections of the serpentine

On the way, we saw workers and excavators several times clearing the next landslides. Apparently, there were landslides during the Doge season and a lot of stones fell (see). And sometimes the stones were such that they would demolish an entire train, not like a car or a bus.

We were lucky, the driver was attentive and unhurried. He carefully circled dangerous areas and slowed down on turns, did not drive and signaled to other drivers if we were leaving a sharp turn.

And after an hour of shaking, serpentine and nerves, we got into the cloud. Google map shows an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level. The fog is such that visibility is 30 meters.

Clouds covered us. And behind the fence the abyss

The driver's assistant kept wiping the windshield so that he could see at least something ahead. The saloon doors were opened. For what? I think, in case of evacuation in case of an accident. I have never experienced such horror in my life.

Scary, but how beautiful!

The views of crazy beauty helped to distract from bad thoughts. Untouched nature, wild forests, tall trees, hills, waterfalls, mountain peaks in the clouds. The abyss is so frightening and just as fascinating to your eyes.

Many times passed waterfalls right next to the road. You go and look out the window at the seething streams of water. It's amazing how people were able to carve a road through the mountains in such wild places.

One waterfall in the mountains was especially luxurious. 200 meters high, no less. We saw him from afar, but we didn’t manage to shoot properly. The camera is discharged.

In such a strange and nervous state, we drove 1.5 hours after the cafe. Then Mountain landscape suddenly gave way to another landscape in the form of hills and greenhouses. There are thousands of them here. It's like building a city out of greenhouses.

Greenhouses on the way to Dalat

It is worth noting that the road to Dalat is not a fig not ideal, as they say in blogs. So many bumps, holes and bumps. Shakes all the way, and not only in the mountains. Often the pits go around on the opposite side. Far from the most comfortable road for such difficult route. This is me to the fact that some blogs eloquently paint what a smooth and even road to Dalat from Nha Trang, which is a pleasure to drive.

4 hours passed quickly, scary and entertaining. The route Nha Trang - Dalat is not very tiring, but nervous tension must be relieved with a cup of coffee or beer. On the way, I slept a little, and Slava did not tear himself away from the panorama outside the bus window, trying to remember in as much detail as possible all the images of the inviolable land in this region of Vietnam. That's how we got to Dalat!

Where does the bus arrive in Dalat

Sinhutrist buses bring to their office near the hotel Trung Cang Hotel. It is in the center, 5 minutes walk to the lake. The hotel, by the way, is not bad and relatively inexpensive, prices from $ 20 with breakfast. You can stop right in it or go for lunch after the road. To the right of the hotel is the Sinhov office, where you can buy return tickets to Nha Trang or other destinations. Taxi drivers know this place as Singh Cafe.

Coordinates: 11.944165, 108.440178

I continue the series of stories about Vietnam that I love with a post about the wonderful town of Dalat. To look at "little Paris", we took day trip to Dalat from Nha Trang. In this post I will tell you what I have seen during this time, what impressions I have left, and I will give a couple of useful tips.

What will be discussed:

The road from Nha Trang to Dalat and back

Dalat is located 140 km from Nha Trang. It seems that it is not far, but the road took 4 hours with three stops:

  • 1.5 hours after departure, they stopped for breakfast;

The road is mostly mountainous, winding, so it can get sick. But you definitely won’t be bored: the landscapes outside the window are somehow unreal, the guide tells a lot of interesting things about Vietnam, its inhabitants, Dalat and Nha Trang.

In general, the time on the road to Dalat passed unnoticed, but back it was already a little tiring: fatigue from a busy day affected, besides, there was only one stop (oh, how everyone was waiting for it! :-)). So if you're used to more comfortable trips, take a 2-day excursion with an overnight stay in Dalat to take a break from the road.

On a note! Departure from the hotel - 7 am, return - 8 pm.

What is included in the tour program

Stop 1 Crazy House Hotel

A place that strikes unusual architecture. Wandering through the intricate maze of stairs and corridors, looking into the fabulous hotel rooms (there are only 8 of them), it seems that you can endlessly! And yet every time you will find something new. Interesting and charming place!

Stop 2. Tea, coffee and candy tasting

After Crazy House, we were taken to a tea and coffee shop for a tasting. Nothing fancy, everything is quite expensive. A little sorry for the time spent (it would be better to stay in Crazy House longer).

Stop 3. XQ Silk Art Gallery

A magical place where local craftswomen work wonders! They told a lot of interesting things, they saw what patience and work are capable of. Friends, this is something! Be sure to see these works of art with your own eyes! In Nha Trang too, but not so big.

Stop 4 Prenn National Park

A cozy park with a well-groomed territory and lots of flowers. There is a small waterfall, a lake where people go boating, a mini-zoo, from entertainment - riding ostriches and elephants. Various souvenir products. Nice place to relax!

Stop 5 Datanla Waterfall and sleigh ride

In this place, I remember more the ride on the electric sleigh than the waterfall itself 🙂 Yes, it’s beautiful, picturesque, but the waterfall didn’t produce a “wow” effect on me.

Stop 6 Truc Lam Monastery and Cable Car

The monastery is quite typical for Asia, so if this is not your first time, then it is unlikely to surprise you. The area is beautiful, lots of greenery and flowers. It was nice to walk around. But the cable car leading to the monastery really impressed me! More precisely, not the cable car itself, but the views that open to the eye! Travel time is 15 minutes.

Let's summarize.

  1. An excursion to Dalat is recommended for those who want to see another Vietnam and are not afraid of long trips.
  2. If you still think that a trip with such a program will be tiring for you, take a two-day excursion.
  3. Take a long-sleeved sweater or cape with you, even in summer it can be cool here! On our trip, it even rained at times. So an umbrella would be handy.
  4. I personally didn’t have enough time for the tour: I wanted to stay a little longer in Crazy House and wander more around the territory of the monastery. And the city of Dalat itself would be interesting to see. I think this is compensated for on a two-day excursion, and the most ideal option is an independent trip.
  5. At the entrance to Dalat you will see many greenhouses. They grow strawberries! Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy delicious fresh berries. Be sure to get a strawberry tray when you're in town.
  6. The next must have is coffee! I already sang. If you also love this drink, buy a few packs of Dalat coffee.
  7. The next tip for those who like to drive 🙂 When you ride an electric sleigh on a waterfall, get into the first car - you can enjoy the maximum speed.

In general, from the trip left good impression, but I would still be happy to return to Dalat, just to walk around the picturesque city.

Sincerely, Kazakova Ekaterina

Guys, your comments help us a lot! Already in three days we visited Winperl, the island of monkeys and the waterfall (I forgot the name of 2 short words :)) - also on your recommendation. Today we arrived in Dalat. Wonderfully beautiful city!
We wanted to leave the Nha Trang bus station at 09:00, but we were told at the box office that now there is no such bus. Available at 7:00, 8:00, 11:00, 13:00, 15:00. Therefore, at first we were upset that we would have to wait 2 hours, but then we were even glad that we had a whole 2 hours to walk around the city. We went into the temple, went up to a non-tourist small temple-house. Great! Thank you! Tomorrow we travel to Dalat, then I will definitely write)

I want to tell you about my trip to Vietnam. In terms of tourism, Vietnam is very young tourist country and recently began to gain momentum in tourism. For a very long time I could not decide on a trip to Vietnam, as I heard a lot of reviews, both good and bad. It was also embarrassing that he always considered Vietnam to be underdeveloped in terms of tourism, but nevertheless he nevertheless decided and did not lose.

I planned my trip in early October before the rainy season, at this time prices for travel vouchers were very democratic. The choice fell on the city of Nha Trang.

Why did Vietnam strike me and what did I manage to see there?

Nya Trang Big city, But tourist area are the first three parallel streets from the sea, they stretch along the entire coast, on which there are a large number of different cafes, restaurants, shops, tourist centers offering excursions. national currency are Vietnamese dong, currency exchange can be done at travel agencies and jewelry stores. We took dollars, although rubles are also changed, but it is more profitable with a dollar.

What immediately catches the eye is the beautifully equipped embankment with trees trimmed in different shapes.

On the streets of Nha Trang there are many travel agencies, including Russian-speaking ones, they offer various tours. As for prices, they are cheaper than those of tour operators, but not by much. Tours in Russian will cost a few dollars more than in English.

I bought only one tour in Dalat, I visited all the other places on my own on city buses, there were no difficulties. By the way, city buses are very civilized with air conditioning.

Cham kingdom towers one of the most popular tourist destinations. You can get there by bus number 4 or on foot from tourist area 30-40 minutes. On the territory you can find a couple of souvenir shops, a small pavilion with a history of tower reconstructions. You can go inside the temples and pray, but the entrance is strictly in closed clothes, if your clothes do not cover your shoulders and knees, then free scarves are provided.

monkey island m The place is very exotic, with a huge number of monkeys that have settled in the interior of the island. I got here on my own by bus number 3 (the ticket price is about 60 rubles). You need to go north from Nha Chang, approximately 30 minutes to the northern pier, then by ferry (approximately 300-350 rubles for an adult, 150-180 rubles for a child) . Here, in addition to walking with monkeys, you can sit in a cafe, lie on the beach, and watch shows with monkeys and dogs. Of course, I didn’t like the sea there, there was a lot of foliage and it looked somehow dirty, even in Nha Chang itself the sea was cleaner. By the way, it was this that struck me that the sea and the city beach in the center of Nha Chang are very clean, unlike the same sea in the center of Pattaya, Thailand.

In addition, from the northern pier you can visit Orchid Island and Nya Phu Island, but I have not been there.

Well, if you want more transparent azure water, I recommend the beach Doclet (Zoklet) which is also located north of Nha Trang about an hour's drive from Nha Trang bus number 3, the fare is approximately 70 rubles one way. There is snow-white sand, a beautiful sea, this beach is very good for families with children, there is a very shallow, not deep entrance to the sea. There are hotels on the shore so you can stay overnight.

Vinpearl Land cable car and amusement park this is where the find for tourists, especially with children. Vinpearl Land Amusement Park is located on an island near Nha Trang, large enough entertainment center You have to go there in the morning to have time to see everything. On the territory of the complex there is a water park, an aquarium " Undersea world» (about 300 species of marine animals), 4D cinema, golf park, musical fountains, a zoo, several greenhouses with various plants, various carousels, attractions, roller coaster and much more. You can add a cable car to the list of entertainment, it is considered the longest in the world in terms of length over water - 3300 meters.

At 19.00 the fountain show starts, very beautiful I recommend to stay and see.

get to cable car you can take bus number 4 on your own (fare is approximately 20-21 rubles). Bus number 4 stops near the ticket office and waits until all tourists buy entrance tickets for the cable car; ticket price adult ticket - 800.000 VND (2400 rubles), child ticket- 700.000 vnd (2100 rubles). The ticket price includes access to all attractions located on the island an unlimited number of times throughout the day. I returned back by taxi, as it was late and the buses did not run (the cost is 250-300 rubles per car for up to 4 people, choose small taxi cars, they are cheaper). When going to the entertainment island of Vinpearl Land, do not take anything with you except money, a camera, and accessories for sun protection; you will need money for the road to the cable car, entrance tickets, buy a drink or a snack, the prices for food and drink are quite democratic and another 100 dong we paid a deposit at the entrance to the water park when we took the towel, the money is returned after the towel is returned, by the way, you can return it there things in the luggage room for free.

Schedule: from 08:00 to 22:00 it is better to go by 10.00 -11.00 in the morning there will be fewer people on the cable car.

Therefore, do not listen to anyone who will say that it’s expensive to travel on your own or you won’t be able to figure it out, get lost and so on, upon arrival on the bus we were given maps in Russian free of charge, with the location and schedule of all entertainment, everything is clearly accessible. And in total, all the expenses for a ticket, food, taxi came out much cheaper than traveling with travel agencies.

Dalatresort town in the south-central part of the Vietnamese highlands. The city is spread out on a picturesque mountain plateau, the height of which is 1,475 m above sea level. Part of the path passes along a mountain serpentine, on one side you are surrounded by an abyss on the other side mountain range, in places from which small streams flow straight onto the road, sort of mini waterfalls. The journey takes about 3 hours.

The resort was founded by the French colonialists at the beginning of the 20th century. They were the first to pay attention to the unique climate for Vietnam. Picturesque nature and healing Mountain air made the city popular place recreation of Vietnamese and Europeans.

The cost of an excursion in travel agencies on the street starts from $ 20 for 1 day, (the price includes the road, lunch, entrance tickets). You can take a two day tour. I am for my tour in Russian news agency paid $30 - 1 day.

What did I manage to see in 1 day of the tour.

The calling card of Dalat Crazy House or lunatic asylum is at the same time a hotel, art Gallery and a restaurant. A house in the form of a tree without a single right angle. Inside the building, tourists can visit a variety of rooms stylized as animals, birds and insects. Work on the house is still ongoing. You can stay at the hotel for the night or just go on a tour.

The cable car in Dalat connects Dalat and the current Chuk Lak Thien Vien monastery. An exciting ride in the cable car above pine forest and vegetable gardens last 10-15 minutes one way.

Prenn Park and Waterfall is very popular among Russian-speaking tourists. amusement park. Here you can not only see a pretty, but very small waterfall, but also ride elephants, ostriches, visit an orchid garden and a mini zoo, and even try Luwak coffee.

The waterfall of the Elephant originates from an inconspicuous river, but when it meets a cliff, it spews water with incredible power, a deafening roar of water, a cloud of spray against the background of a thousand, a real beauty is out! When our group arrived at the waterfall it started to rain, the descent to the waterfall along the stairs carved out of stones was very slippery and water ran along it. It was very difficult to go down, so I had to take off my shoes. I advise everyone who decides to go and gets caught in the rain to be more careful not to fall and get hurt.

In addition to all this, we visited a very beautiful carved temple, to be honest I can’t remember the name. For lunch we were brought to a local restaurant, where we were treated to delicious food, wine and rum. We were lucky with the guide, we had a girl from Kazakhstan, she told us very interestingly, not boringly about sights and about local life and life in Vietnam.

In general, I was very pleased with the trip to Nha Trang, the sea is clean (if not in the rainy season and there are no waves), the prices for food and other things are not high, I liked the cuisine, the locals are kind, smiling. There is enough entertainment and excursions, unfortunately I didn’t manage to see everything.
