Once at the Mama mia tavern, they cheated me for 3 euros, and at first they brought a bill for 3 euros less, I said that it was not ours. The check does not write by the names of the dishes, they just brought the total amount. They pretend they don't understand English. The food is so-so. We also had dinner at the Anatoli tavern, where it is really tasty and not very expensive. Pleasant owner, a compliment from the institution - ice cream. Very picturesque, but not recommended for small children. The beach is palm-lined, beautiful, but the entrance to the water is inconvenient. All other beaches with small pebbles, in the water big stones. Wave almost all the time. Don't buy with kids either. Nice sandy beach near Kalimera Crete hotel. But it's already far away. WITH bus service difficult. Exactly in the morning at 9-00 there is a bus to Heraklion and Agios Nikolaos (from the Castello Village hotel). Only taxi during the day. Rent a car, refuel at a gas station - you get a Greek friend who will mark on the map interesting place along the way, and then gladly listen to where you were, what you saw. If you want to hang out - in a seven-minute drive - noisy, fiercely furious Malia. And there are beaches between the rocks! My acquaintance with this place happened by chance. Resting in the city of Malia, we decided to travel around the island of Crete.
