Unexplained places on the planet. The most terrible and mystical places on the planet

There are many places in our world that both attract and frighten with their mystery. People disappear there, ghosts appear, animals behave strangely. Scientists voice various theories, but none of them claims to be one hundred percent reliable.

1. Valley of the Headless, Canada

This place got its terrible name because of a series of tragic incidents. At the end of the 19th century, gold was discovered here, and fortune hunters rushed into the valley. In 1898, a group of 6 gold miners disappeared without a trace. 7 years later, two Macleod brothers and their friend Robert Veer disappeared in the same valley. After 3 years, 9 decapitated corpses were accidentally discovered.
Mysterious disappearances of people continue in the valley to this day.

The locals themselves are sure that all the deaths are the work of the squatters. Creatures that looked like hairy giants were often seen here, and even more often their traces were found.
In fact, most likely, this is the work of a gang of thugs operating in the valley, who hunt for gold miners and their prey. However, the police do not confirm this conjecture.

2. Valley of Falling Birds, India

IN last days summer in the Indian state of Assam in the Jatinga mountain valley, unusual phenomena occur. At night, closer to midnight, flocks of birds fly here in an almost unconscious state.
Birds circle low - locals even knock them down with sticks, and then cook them on a fire. Many birds fall to the ground and do not even try to escape from the hands of the person lifting them.

The inhabitants of the valley are sure that it is the gods who reward them for their righteous life by sending easy prey.
Scientists have also found that the hypnotic behavior of birds (lack of the instinct of self-preservation and the body's reactions to external stimuli) is formed only with the obligatory combination of such factors as the new moon, wind and darkness.
Based on this, it is possible to voice the hypothesis of the presence in the area of a short-term geomagnetic anomaly, which, if all of the above natural factors has such an unusual effect on birds living in the area.

3. Death Valley, USA

Contrary to popular legends, this place is not associated with the disappearance of people and the death of livestock - the valley got its name during the California gold rush. Here you can observe unusual creeping stones - many have seen them, but they were recorded on camera only 2 years ago.
Traces stretching behind multi-kilogram boulders reach several tens of meters.

Scientists led by paleobiologist Richard Norris say they have solved the mystery of moving rocks in Death Valley.
According to them, the movement of stones is influenced by daily temperature changes in winter, coastal wind, the nature of the soil at the bottom of a nearby lake, and even climate change. In their opinion, due to the general warming, such movements have become less frequent.

4. Drossolides, Greece

Near the castle of Franco-Castello on Greek island Crete, many locals and tourists have come across an amazing chrono-mirage (an event from the past) called "drossolides", which means "droplets of moisture".
According to them, in the early summer morning over the sea, shrouded in fog, strange outlines of warriors appear and sometimes the sound of a battle is clearly audible. After some time, the time mirage disappears near the walls of the castle. At this place in the middle of the XIX century a fierce battle took place between the Turks and the Greeks. Everyone who observed this mystical phenomenon claims that the phantoms of these warriors appear at the castle.

Researcher Andrei Perepelitsyn believes that elementary particles with sufficiently high energies, moving in air saturated with water vapor, leave a trail of water droplets. They may be able to ionize the air and "appear" as hazy images before the dew falls. The rest is a matter of human imagination.
Maybe chronomirages cause magnetic storms or geomagnetic disturbances in some small area of the area. To find out, further research is needed, taking into account the possible impact of these factors.

5. Dead Lake, Kazakhstan

This small lake in the Taldykurgan region of Kazakhstan seems quite ordinary from the outside, but even in the hottest summer it remains terribly cold. There is absolutely no life in the lake: no fish are found here, even aquatic insects do not live.
And people are always drowning in the lake. It is also frightening that the drowned people of the Dead Lake do not float to the surface, but, on the contrary, sink to the bottom and stand there straight as candles. Even professional divers with equipment cannot stay in the water of this lake for more than 5 minutes. For some inexplicable reason, they suddenly begin to choke, although their tanks are still full of air.

According to one version, mystical rumors are associated with the phenomenon of hypersolarization of water and the purple bacteria living there that emit hydrogen sulfide. Even in small doses, it actively affects the human psyche.
There is also an assumption that there is a crevice at the bottom of the lake, from which a toxic gas is released, which kills all life. However, there are no plans to conduct separate scientific studies of the Dead Lake in Kazakhstan.

6 Heizhu Black Bamboo Hollow, China

Hundreds of people enter this bamboo jungle every year and stay there forever. Moreover, everything disappears completely without a trace - no traces, no bodies, no personal belongings. Documented cases of missing people here originate from the middle of the last century.
In 1950, for an unknown reason, a plane crashed here. Interestingly, there were no technical malfunctions on board, the crew did not give distress signals and did not report any oddities. The plane, along with all the people, just disappeared.

Of course, the locals talk about portals to parallel worlds and temporal paradoxes that take people from the hollow to some other reality.
But scientists from the Chinese Academy of Sciences have identified a structure of geological rocks that is completely unique in its characteristics in this place, and also recorded the release of deadly poisonous fumes, which turned out to be the product of decay of some tree species, which are in abundance here. The researchers also noted the difficult local climate with unexpectedly and dramatically changing weather, and strong geomagnetic radiation.

7. Pluckley Village, England

Residents of the English village of Pluckley claim the existence of as many as 12 ghosts in their village. The Plakliians say that all the ghosts once lived in this village, but died or died long ago.

Skeptics are sure that the population of the village is simply flattered by the attention of tourists who constantly come to stare at ghosts.
However, when a group of researchers arrived in the village in 2011, something inexplicable happened. Pluchley was swarming with flies, and that was in near-zero temperatures early in the winter. The researchers had to return with nothing.

8. Palmyra Island, Pacific Ocean

The ship of the American captain Edmund Fanning in 1798 crashed off the coast of Palmyra, a small uninhabited atoll with an area of only 12 square meters. km. Many of those who tried to swim to the island drowned or were eaten by sharks. 10 people were saved, and in 2 months only three survived on the island. The survivors claimed that the rest had been killed by the island.
During World War II, Palmyra was used by US Air Force planes for landing. However, everyone who was on the island at different times said that he aroused fear, depression, anger and hatred in them. Some suddenly took their own lives for no apparent reason, others, on the contrary, suddenly went crazy and killed their friends and colleagues. Almost everyone says that it was scary all the time on the island.

Some speculate about the existence of a certain religious sect on the island. Scientist Mershan Marin believes that there is some unknown creature hostile to humans on the atoll. Many support this idea and try to prove that the island itself is alive. Having lured into a trap with his beauty, he kills his careless guests. And there are exotic versions, for example, that there are gates to another dimension on the atoll.
Be that as it may, there are few people who would like to visit Palmyra, especially after 1986, when the American disposal of radioactive waste appeared on the island.

9. Overton Bridge, Scotland

In 1951, a certain dog jumped off this 15-meter bridge for no apparent reason. It seemed like just an accident. But by 1955, there were already more than 50 such suicide dogs. Moreover, it is noteworthy that all dogs always chose the same place for jumping - between the last two spans on the right side of the bridge.
Until now, an average of 1 dog per month jumps from this bridge. Surprisingly, some animals that managed to survive after this suicide attempt recovered and again went to the bridge to jump.

Animal behavior expert David Sexton found that the ground just below where the dogs fell was simply filled with traces of mice and minks. The urine of males of these animals has a very strong effect on dogs and cats. Further experiment only confirmed the ethologist's theory. He diffused the smell of the animals living under the bridge and observed the behavior of ordinary dogs. As a result, only 2 out of 30 dogs - with short muzzles and small noses - remained calm. The rest thoughtlessly ran to the source of the smell, practically not looking around, as if bewitched.

10. Aokigahara Forest, Japan

Translated from Japanese, the name of this place sounds like "plain of blue trees." But most often it is called the "forest of suicides." They say that in the Middle Ages, the local poor, driven to despair by the lack of food, brought their elderly relatives here and left them to die in this forest. Since then, restless souls have been roaming the forest, lying in wait for lonely travelers, wanting to take revenge on them for all their suffering.
Until now, from 70 to 100 bodies of people who have decided to commit suicide are found in the forest every year. Many come to this forest on purpose to commit suicide, but there are rumors that the forest itself “persuades” some of them to do so. As if the one who turned off the paved hiking trails to the side immediately embraces the strongest melancholy and depression. So strong that the poor fellow immediately lays hands on himself.

So far, only the fact that at the foot of Mount Fuji in the "forest of suicides" the compass does not work is reliably known. There is a strong magnetic anomaly, which, apparently, has a tremendous impact on humans.
Just before the entrance to the territory of Aokigahara hangs a sign with the following content: “Your life is the most priceless gift that you received from your parents. Think about your family. Don't suffer alone, call us at 0555-22-0110."

A selection for lovers of natural and historical mysteries, as well as for those who simply appreciate beautiful unusual places. Welcome to 65 corners of the planet that make you think about the irrationality of the world, feel like an explorer and get a dose of adrenaline.

Easter Island, Chile

Easter Island, Chile

This small piece of land in the Pacific Ocean (area - 163.6 km², population - about 6,000 people) is known all over the world thanks to the mysterious stone idols - moai. Almost nine hundred statues stand around the perimeter of the island, like sentries. Who made them? How were multi-ton blocks moved? What was the function of the statues? Europeans have puzzled over these questions for decades. And although it is believed that Thor Heyerdahl solved the riddle, the locals still believe that the sacred power of the ancestors of the Hotu Matu'a clan is contained in the moai.

Aokigahara, Japan

Aokigahara, Japan

This is a dense forest at the foot of Mount Fuji on the island of Honshu. The place is ominous: stony soil, tree roots braid rocky debris, there is a “deafening” silence, compasses do not work. And although scientists (seemingly) found explanations for all these phenomena, the Japanese believe that ghosts live in the forest - the souls of infirm old people who were left there to die in times of famine. Therefore, during the day, Aokigahara is a popular vacation spot, and at night it is a "shelter" for suicides. Books and songs have been written about this place, films have been made, including documentaries.

Racetrack Playa, USA

Racetrack Playa, USA

In California's Death Valley National Park, there is a dry lake that would be ordinary if not for a phenomenon that scientists have been puzzling over for years. 30-kilogram stones move along its clay bottom. Slowly, but without the help of living beings. The clods leave long, shallow furrows behind them. In this case, the trajectory of their movement is absolutely arbitrary. What pushes rocks? Various versions were voiced: the specifics of the magnetic field, wind, seismic activity. None of the guesses received sufficient scientific justification.

Roraima Plateau, Brazil, Venezuela, Guyana

Roraima is a mountain on the border of three countries. But its peak is not a sharp peak, but a luxurious 34 km² plateau wrapped in a haze of clouds, with unique plants and picturesque waterfalls. This is how Arthur Conan Doyle envisioned The Lost World. According to the beliefs of the Indians, Roraima is a petrified tree trunk that gave birth to all vegetables and fruits on the planet. Even the Indians believed that the gods live there, so no one climbed to the top before the arrival of the Europeans. Modern travelers say that people on Roraima are simply filled with sacred delight.

Valley of pitchers, Laos

Valley of pitchers, Laos

At the foot of the Annam Range, giant pots are “scattered”: up to three meters in height and weighing up to six tons. Archaeologists believe that the jars are about two thousand years old, but they cannot understand how the ancestors of modern Laos used them. Lao legends say that these are the utensils of the giants who lived in the valley. It is also said that the jars were ordered to be made by King Khung Chung to make a lot of rice wine and celebrate the victory over the enemies. Historians have their own versions: they could collect rainwater in pots or store food in them. Or maybe they were burial urns?

Bermuda Triangle

Bermuda Triangle

In the Atlantic Ocean, in the "triangle" between Florida, Bermuda and Puerto Rico, there anomalous zone, where over a hundred ships and aircraft have “evaporated” over the past hundred years. Most famous case happened in 1945. Five Avenger bombers took off from a US Navy base and disappeared. The planes that went in search of them also disappeared without a trace. Skeptics say that shallows, cyclones and storms are to blame. But many tend to believe in more mystical versions: for example, in abduction by aliens or the inhabitants of Atlantis.

Shilin, China

Shilin, China

In the province of Yunnan, on an area of 350 km², the "Stone Forest" is spread. Ancient rocks, caves, waterfalls and lakes create the atmosphere of a fairy-tale world. According to legend, one young man decided to save the people from drought and build a dam. The wizard gave him a whip and a wand to cut and move blocks of stone. But the tools had magical power only until dawn. The young man did not finish the work, and the huge monoliths remained scattered across the valley. Scientists believe that 200 million years ago there was a sea on the site of the Stone Forest. It dried up, but the rocks, striking in their grandeur and beauty, remained.

King Arthur and his wife Guinevere were buried on this hill - in 1191, the monks of Glastonbury Abbey allegedly found sarcophagi with their remains. This is not the only legend about St. Michael's Hill and King Arthur. Perhaps these are just myths, but visitors to the attraction claim that the hill has the most powerful energy.

Kitovaya alley, Russia

Kitovaya alley, Russia

On the Chukchi island of Itygran there is an ancient Eskimo sanctuary. Huge bones and skulls of whales are dug into the frozen shore. The alley was opened in 1977, but its mysteries have not yet been solved. There is an assumption that in the XIV century this place was used by whalers for ritual meetings. Judging by the many "meat pits", the gatherings were accompanied by feasts, and the holes in the tops of the whale "pillars" indicate that, perhaps, the whalers also arranged games, hanging prizes on bones. But in folklore there is no information about the purpose of the alley. But there is a legend about the battle of "flying shamans" that took place there.

10

Fly Geyser, USA

Fly Geyser, USA

The "flying" geyser erupts jets of hot water to a height of 15 meters, forming around itself a "mini-volcano" of mineral deposits. Scientists say that this is what the surface of our planet looked like millions of years ago. The geyser is located on the territory of a private ranch, and in order to admire it, you need the permission of the owner. But this does not stop tourists. People believe that if you wash yourself with water from a geyser, life will become bright and happy.

11

Richat, Mauritania

Richat, Mauritania

In the west of the Sahara is the "Eye of the Earth". These huge circles drawn by an unknown force really resemble an eye. The Richat structure is the oldest geological formation, the age of one of the rings of which is about 600 million years. "Eye" is perfectly visible from space - in orbit they use it as a guide. There are different versions about the nature of this formation. For example, that this is a funnel from a meteorite fall or a landing site for aliens. But the most scientific are the hypotheses that suggest that this is the mouth of an extinct volcano or the result of erosion on the uplift of a section of the earth's crust.

Nazca Lines, Peru

Nazca Lines, Peru

Geoglyphs on the Nazca plateau were discovered almost a century ago, but scientists are still arguing who, how and when created them. Some believe that this is an ancient irrigation system, others - that these are the "holy paths of the Incas", others claim that this is the oldest astronomy textbook on Earth. There is also a completely mystical version, that the lines are a message from aliens. There are many theories, but none have been scientifically proven.

Mystery Spot, USA

Mystery Spot, USA

"Mystery Spot" is translated from English as "Mysterious Place". In the middle of the twentieth century, businessman George Prater decided to build a house. I chose a place on a hillside, bought land, but could not erect a building. The house came out crooked, although the drawings were correct, and the builders were sober. It turned out that the laws of physics were violated on the hill: balls roll up an inclined plane, a broom stands without support, water flows upwards, people stand in an inclined position. Scientists say that these are nothing more than optical illusions, but many tend to see a mystical trace in what is happening.

An amazing natural phenomenon is due to the fact that at sunset the sun's rays are reflected in a waterfall, creating a visual illusion that hot metal is flowing from a rock. According to legend, on the top of the mountain was the house of a blacksmith who made the best horseshoes for horses in the area. But because of heavy rain the forge was washed off the cliff. Since then, the waterfall once a year "reminds" of this tragic event.

The investigation of the incident did not give any result, and the case was closed.

And two years later, a whole convoy disappeared without a trace on the Kolomna highway. And again the police searched the forests along the road in vain. Meanwhile, the mysterious disappearances continued. In 1893, the postman disappeared. In 1896 he was a surveyor together with a cart and a driver. In 1897, two peasants disappeared on the highway. In total, until 1921, 19 disappearances without a trace were noted on the Kolomna highway. A few years ago, a group of enthusiastic researchers from Vladimir and Moscow discovered here a number of phenomenal phenomena caused by magnetic field fluctuations. Locals often note here amazing atmospheric phenomena, local heavy rains, black clouds hanging over one place, strong tornadoes, etc. In a local pond, fishermen once saw a large water funnel suddenly appear, measuring the water level and investigating this case showed that most likely there was a spontaneous discharge of water into underground voids. Around the same time, local boys saw bicycles in the sky flying along the railway track (perhaps raised by a tornado?). They say that while walking through the forest, located to the left of the road in the direction of travel from Moscow, mushroom pickers more than once felt sudden attacks of horror, the cause of which remained incomprehensible to them. In the same forest there are so-called “prodigal places”, where even old-timers can easily get lost, and “terrible places”, where dogs whine and cannot stay for a long time ...

In August 1993, an expedition was carried out in the southern part of this forest, the purpose of which was to search for the area of flight of a three-star UFO observed here by a local resident in February 1993. Indeed, a hovering place of an unknown object was found that broke the tops of trees in the forest at a height of about 5 meters above the ground. It was found that the tops were broken off not because of a side wind, but because of the force applied vertically from above. On the fallen parts of the trunks, traces of mechanical impact were clearly visible, however, traces of paint, rust or any material on the scuffed trees were not found.

There is an opinion that the very name of "voices" comes from the consonant name of one of the gods - Volos or Veles, the ruler of the other world. Although less creative individuals attribute everything to the voices that are supposedly heard in the ravine at night. Their origin is attributed to the lost souls of the "losers" who went into the ravine, but did not find a way out of it. However, during archaeological excavations near the ravine, scientists discovered very real traces of ancient settlements, indicating that Slavic pagans lived and actively acted in this region.

Today, the ravine is in absentia ranked among the unfavorable places in Moscow, although its “badness” dates back to the mists of time. Either people will disappear in its vicinity, or giants in skins will flash in the fog. It is not known for certain about the direct connection of this place with the other world, but there are always strange people hanging around in bizarre outfits singing incomprehensible mantras.

Actor's Ponds

A long time ago, on the lands of the Ostankino Sheremetev estate, there was a suicide cemetery. It is difficult to say whether this was the influence of a place or a difficult unfree fate, but many serf actresses drowned in ponds, which they even called "actorkins". Now there is a residential building nearby, and on the graveyard - the building of the television center. Local residents and employees of the television center say that sometimes in these parts you can meet an ancient old woman with a stick, who appears before misfortunes and tragedies.

Death Road - Lyubertsy-Lytkarino highway

On a small road section, stretching for only 6 km, a huge number of people died and were injured in accidents. This place has long been of interest to researchers of anomalous zones and mystical phenomena. According to local legend, the road is located on the site of an abandoned cemetery, where only suicides were buried. Drivers talk about terrible visions, ghosts that live in these places. Many believe that it is the souls of restless sinners that cause the living to go astray. However, skeptics believe that such phenomena can appear under the influence of electromagnetic fields that arise in the places where communication cables are laid. In their opinion, they are able to influence the mind of the driver, creating imaginary hallucinations.

Marina Grove

Maryina Roshcha is a district of Moscow, about which many legends and mystical tales are composed. Until the 18th century, this area was almost completely covered with forest, after cutting which Maryina Grove was formed. In 1743, the local village of Maryino went to Count Sheremetyev, who changed the face of the area beyond recognition. Soon Maryina Grove became one of the favorite places for Muscovites to relax. However, here they were afraid to appear alone because of the fear of evil spirits. It is understandable, because, according to popular beliefs, suicides became mermaids, so on Semik (the third week from Easter) they went to where they buried the dead without repentance - that is, to Maryina Grove. It was here that the barn stood, where the unidentified dead were taken. After the plague epidemic, Empress Catherine forbade burying the dead within the city, and there, on Miusy, the first plague cemetery in Moscow arose. And in Maryino, for a long time, terrible stories about the dead, who did not allow a lonely traveler to pass, circulated.

Secrets and legends of the Igumnov house

Mysterious legends are associated with the brightest house on Bolshaya Yakimanka. This is the home of the wealthy industrialist Nikolai Igumnov. For its construction, he invited the Yaroslavl architect Nikolai Pozdeev. The pseudo-Russian style, very fashionable in those days, was chosen for the construction. In 1893 the mansion was completed. Pozdeev managed to combine numerous decorative details into a single whole: picturesque tents, bell towers, vaulted arches, columns. The building turned out to be very harmonious, but the Moscow architectural environment did not accept a stranger. The barely erected mansion was subjected to devastating criticism. Igumnov, who succumbed to these sentiments, quickly became disillusioned with his Yaroslavl architect and refused to pay for the excess costs. Frustrated and ruined, the architect committed suicide. It is difficult to say whether this is connected with the tragic fate of the architect, but the Igumnov mansion has always been surrounded by a halo of gloomy legends. The most common of them says that the owner settled his mistress-dancer in this fabulous palace, and when he caught her in treason, he walled the unfortunate woman alive in the wall. Since then, her ghost allegedly wanders the halls of the mansion, disturbing the peace of its inhabitants.

Bear lakes

An anomalous place, according to the testimony of many eyewitnesses. It is located in the north-east of the Moscow region in the area of 3 lakes, next to the village of the same name. Local fishermen said that they saw a large animal with a huge mouth floating on the surface of the water. The animal allegedly came ashore, attacked cows and even people.

In 1999, an expedition took place on the lakes, the purpose of which was to try to confirm or refute rumors about the existence of a giant lizard-like animal in the lake. On November 18, a large animal was found in the southeastern part of the lake at a depth of about 5 m. An animal about 1 m thick hung in the water a meter from the bottom and did not move. In order to scare the beast, a small squib was blown up. The "target" slowly swam away. At about the same time, deafening blows began to be heard from under the ice - ice bursting from frost. The conclusion of the expedition after a complete study of the terrain and samples of water and soil was disappointing - the living of the lizard in these lakes is very unlikely.

Ryazans

Ryazantsy is an anomalous zone in the Sergiev Posad district of the Moscow region, where auditory mirages are observed. One of the eyewitnesses spoke of his impressions when visiting Ryazantsy: “In the 1960s, in the summer, after 10 p.m., a young man and I walked to the village of Kirimovo along the old road from the village of Ryazantsy. I have walked this road many times before. Having walked a little along the path through the forest, I suddenly heard the voices of people, the barking of dogs, laughter, the clatter of buckets and other sounds very close to us. You plunge into such noise, being in the middle of the village during the day, but there was no housing here. It became impossible to go further, as the sounds, as it were, prevented our progress. These sounds were heard by my companion. It became very scary. We stopped. We stood for 10-15 minutes, listening to what was going on around, and then very quietly and carefully returned back. My parents and other elderly people later told about another similar case at the same place. I also heard a story about how, passing by this “enchanted” place, people sometimes hear how someone or something is beating with a stick on a tree standing in their way. A person will pass this tree, and the blow is heard on the next tree. There were also cases when a man suddenly appeared in front of a walking person in this place, who also suddenly disappeared. Old-timers associate these mysterious phenomena with the fact that once, according to their ancestors, many Tatars died at this place, or a convoy with gypsies died ... "

Silica Cave

Silikaty Cave is a well-known natural cave located near the Silikatnaya railway platform (Moscow region), about which there are many legends and stories about mysterious cases with varying degrees of reliability. One of the most reliable stories relates to the initial period of the Great Patriotic War when the cave was equipped with a bomb shelter. During another bombardment, a soldier from the front arrived in a nearby village, who, on the advice of his fellow villagers, went to look for relatives to the cave. Old women and children crawled out of the dilapidated entrance one by one, and finally the wife of a soldier appeared, but at that moment a huge stone slab began to sag.

The soldier threw himself under the slab, delayed its fall, maybe only for a moment, thereby allowing the rest to get out. In front of dozens of people, the brave man crushed a stone of terrible size, however, when they dug up the entrance with their joint efforts and lifted the slab, under it they ... found nothing! Relatives subsequently tried for a long time to find what seemed to them still a living soldier inside the caves, during the next search somewhere underground, the heartbroken mother also disappeared. Such is the story, the legend says that the ghosts of a soldier (in the form of the “White Spirit of the Speleologist”) and the mother (in the form of the “Two-Faced”) are still found in the far corners of the caves (several dozen cases of observations are known).

Beria's house

In the mansion on Malaya Nikitskaya Street (formerly Kachalova), built at the end of the 19th century, Lavrenty Pavlovich Beria lived for more than 15 years. The building now houses the Tunisian embassy. In the basement of this house, the owner "arranged dates" with women. And the passion of the People's Commissar of State Security of the USSR for the opposite sex gave rise to a lot of rumors after his execution. It is said that the ghost of Lavrenty Pavlovich's car regularly appeared (and continues to appear) in the vicinity of the mansion. People hear an invisible car approaching them, the engine starts to idle, and the sound of a door opening is heard. A few seconds later the door slams shut and the car's shadow disappears into the night...

Kuzminki Park

The old and quiet city park is great for romantic dates and family walks. Most of it is occupied by the 300-year-old Kuzminki estate. And like all old parks, this one is also full of legends. In particular, one of them concerns an elm that grows on the banks of one of the park's three ponds. The eerie tree has long celebrated its 100th anniversary and has acquired the nickname "death bough". They say that on the knotted branches of this sinister elm several times they found hanged - as if the tree deliberately attracts suicides.

pike manhole

A long and narrow hole in the famous Syany cave near Moscow, where, according to local legends, involuntary restoration of prenatal and ancestral memory occurs in people trying to get through this hole. However, the opinion of skeptics about this phenomenon, experienced by dozens of people, is clear - these memories are nothing more than subjective psychological associations.

Fefelov Bor

Sand dunes, intricately curved trees and a mysterious atmosphere - Ryazan has its own anomalous zone - the so-called Fefelov Bor. This forest, located near the Kanishchevo microdistrict, attracts lovers of the other world.

The reason for exploring the area was the stories of those who have been here. According to people, they were haunted by a sense of anxiety. While there is no scientific explanation for this, but there are hypotheses. So, according to one of the versions, the forest invisible "something" is a bunch of energy, the source of which is sand - after all, it has been proven that the dunes have the ability to move. When moving, the grains of sand rub, causing energy that moves into environment. On themselves, people feel it in the form of a warm or cold wave and darkening in the eyes.

Sharp magnetic fluctuations were also recorded in the sandy forest. Presumably, it was the waves that bent the branches of the pines at the roots. Biologists are in no hurry to confirm the relationship, and it remains to speculate again. By assumption, due to the change in the magnetic background, the trees also change. The tree forks, branches grow sharply upwards. There are many such trees of the same size in the forest. Perhaps this is a surge of negative energy. How far the negative aura spreads, the researchers do not undertake to judge. Fefelov Bor is located a few kilometers from the residential microdistrict Kanishchevo, which is surrounded on all sides by fields and ponds. In 2004 there were archaeological excavations found an ancient burial ground.

Damn ravine

Not far from the village of Lyada, Pskov region, this anomalous place is located. It earned its nickname at least a hundred years ago. Even before the revolution, people began to disappear in this ravine. Those who were lucky enough to survive, for inexplicable reasons, do not remember anything. Very often, the unfortunate lose not only memory, but also reason. The most resonant case of disappearance of people happened here in 1974, when a group of mushroom pickers from St. Petersburg disappeared without a trace. Prior to that, in 1928, a team of lumberjacks disappeared here, and in 1931, several dozen kulaks exiled here disappeared along with their families.

Mound of Sineus, Vologda region

As we remember from the history books, Rus came to be ruled by the Vikings Rurik, Truvor and Sineus. Sineus ruled in the Volgograd region, and his mound is in Belozersk, Vologda region. Although the talk about the fact that the highest barrow, called the kremlin, keeps under itself the great Varangian (the great Varangians, in the literal and figurative sense, as they were remembered, were heroes), is only based on conjectures and conjectures, And there are surprisingly many of them around the barrow , and they definitely lead to only one mound that has never been properly explored, and one should not try to do this.

Several finds were taken from the barrow by Ivan III, who ordered to clarify who was lying in the barrow, and then to fill up and protect the burial place from those who are not averse to looting graves, but there is no documentary evidence of this. But there is no doubt that after the Bolsheviks came to power, almost crowds with shovels rushed to the mound. Black diggers were attracted by numerous legends that Sineus was buried in a golden coffin, that countless treasures in precious metals were buried with him, that, finally, Sineus himself was dressed in clothes adorned with gold and silver and amazing jewelry. Some studies, for example, attempts to dig approaches near the mound, which were then filled with groundwater, indirectly confirm this: a huge amount of silver ions was found in the water, which is not typical for these places. However, the one who is buried under the mound does not at all want to reveal his wealth to not very grateful descendants. Any unauthorized or scientifically organized attempt to open the mound ends in trouble.

Any digging done at the Sineus mound was flooded with groundwater, and so quickly that when trying to get inside, more than one person died. Those who dared to approach this place with shovels admitted that they felt as if someone was watching them, and someone was even “strangled”. Others even saw the spirit of some giant near the burial place. And once a cellar for storing potatoes, built here during the Soviet era, rotted away in an instant, leaving no potatoes, not even a trace of props. However, there is a legend according to which one day the mound of Sineus will be opened to descendants. But this will happen only in "the most terrible times for Rus'." And I don't want to rush into it.

Zhiguli mountains

The Zhiguli Mountains have long been known for their paranormal activity. Repeatedly over the centuries, cases of the appearance of UFOs and various light pillars of an unknown nature were recorded here. There are stories that before the construction of the hydroelectric power station and the rise in the water level, it was possible to penetrate into the huge caves inside the mountains, where there were prehistoric animals frozen into blocks of ice.

There are references to various kinds of mirages that arise over the Zhiguli mountains: in the form of a ghost town or a tower. A number of legends speak of certain white dwarfs living in the mountains, as well as ghostly old men appearing from nowhere. Local folklore connects inexplicable phenomena with the mysterious Mistress of the Zhiguli Mountains. There are also prodigal places in the Zhiguli, where even experienced tourists, as if spellbound, walk in a circle, returning to the starting point of the journey. Residents of the surrounding villages try to bypass them.

Mountain of the Dead, Sverdlovsk Region

About 30 dead. In the Mansi language, Kholat-Syakhyl is a 1079 m high mountain in the Northern Urals. Since the 1960s, this place has also been called the Dyatlov Pass. It was on the slope of the mountain of the dead that several groups of tourists died at different times. In 1959, a group of tourists led by Igor Dyatlov went on a hike. On February 1 (the date coincides with the famous magical holiday of Candlemas) in 1959, 9 people began to climb to the top. On the slope, without having time to climb to the top, the group sets up camp, becomes a witness to a terrible event, the cause of which is still not clear. In panic horror, cutting the tent with knives, the tourists rushed to run down the slope. Some barefoot, some in one felt boot, half-dressed ...

There were no signs of a struggle or the presence of other people. No signs of an avalanche, hurricane, tornado. All tourists died. Their skin had an unnatural purple or orange color. The damage was unnatural. Then the entire investigation, at the direction of the First Secretary of the Regional Committee of the CPSU, was classified. According to legend, before this incident, 9 Mansi died on the mountain. In February 1961, another group of tourists died. In the early 90s, the Gentry newspaper published extensive material about the "Mountain of the Dead" and the results of studies undertaken by Vladivostok ufologists at the same time in several issues. Today, the place is easily accessible to tourists, but due to its notoriety, it is practically not visited. Our expeditions have not revealed any anomalies in the area at the present time.

Forest "Myasnoy Bor"

Myasnoy Bor - so, as if by someone's evil irony, a small settlement in the Novgorod region was named, for which fate had a terrible role to play - to become a bloody meat grinder, grinding many tens of thousands of lives and destinies of Soviet soldiers in 1942 during the Luban operation 2- 1st Shock Army of the Volkhov Front. There are many places in Russia that are generously watered with the blood of soldiers, but Myasnoy Bor is a special place. Forests and swamps of the Novgorod region are dead places in themselves. And when a lot of human bones turn white in the swamps, on the edges of the forest, on the country roads, they become completely creepy.

It was because of the miscalculations of the military leadership that the soldiers fell into a trap - they were surrounded and destroyed. In the future, not considering the position as strategically important, they stopped the supply of medicines and provisions. The soldiers were doomed to starvation and painful death. They fought bravely and died, but were undeservedly forgotten and, moreover, slandered. There are no random people in Myasny Bor: only search engines looking for the remains of our soldiers and black diggers scouring in search of military valuables. From year to year, search parties raise our soldiers for reburial, but it seems that this does not make them less here.

This forest communicates with people in its own way. Some people are allowed, and some are not. So, for the past 10 years, Novgorod businessman Roman Novikov has been trying to open a base extreme recreation in this Death Valley. But something always breaks. Either at the last moment it turns out that not everything is in order with the documents, or the technique fails. But not once in the past years has Roman been able to even properly drive into the mystical forest.

Many people know that the Earth has its own energy. It plays the role of a kind of video cassette, which at certain moments records and reproduces the most significant historical events.

And today, local residents say, in the forests of Myasny Bor, from time to time, distinct male voices are heard, the smell of shag, the creak of boughs is clearly felt. At the same time, at first it seems that mushroom pickers are walking nearby or maybe someone is sawing the forest. But you shout - no one responds ... And it becomes really creepy. And around - then silence, then again - voices, automatic bursts. Some people who got to these places have heard loud cries of “Hurrah”, like in old movies, when a company or platoon rises into battle ... Novgorod scientists introduced a new concept into scientific use - a military anomaly. Experts believe that where soldiers died and remained unburied during the Great Patriotic War, a powerful energy field arises. As a result - otherworldly voices and strange phenomena.

The very atmosphere of a dead swamp overflowing with corpses creates a difficult situation in these places. Many search engines have repeatedly paid attention to the fact that birds do not settle and do not appear in the places of mass location of the dead, the situation is corrected only after the human remains are properly reburied. Probably, Myasnoy Bor is one of the few places in Russia where in reality you can find such a rare phenomenon as chronomirages, but we do not advise just disturbing the souls of the dead...

Lovozero

Lovozero is the fourth largest lake in the Murmansk region and one of the most famous anomalous zones in Russia. What is not attributed to this object: distortion of space and time, fluctuations in the gravitational background, therapeutic effect on the human body ... In addition, near Lovozero you can meet a yeti - Bigfoot.

The expedition of 1920 headed by A.V. Barchenko, head of the Murmansk Maritime Institute of Local Lore. The purpose of the expedition was to study the most frequent phenomenon in the Lovozero region - "measuring" - a mysterious mental illness that is spreading like an epidemic. “Measurement” acts like a mass psychosis, depriving people of their will and forcing them to pointlessly repeat various movements one after another or indiscriminately execute other people's commands. The effect lasts from several hours to days and can be repeated. The Yakuts explain "measuring" by the fact that an evil spirit is infused into the patient's body. The expedition constantly encountered inexplicable phenomena. Also, many ritual objects and buildings were found that remained from ancient culture Lapps.

Lovozero to this day remains an object special attention scientists. From 1997 to 1999, expeditions headed by V.N. Demin. Their goal was to search for the mysterious country of Hyperborea. And in 2000, V. Chernobrov and his group of researchers recorded many testimonies of local residents that Bigfoot lives in the Lovozero area.

Medveditskaya ridge

The Medveditskaya ridge is the strongest geoactive zone, a chain of old hilly mountains, 200-380 m high, located in the Volgograd and Saratov regions at a distance of 15-18 kilometers from the city of Zhirnovsk. Eyewitnesses claim that things unimaginable for an ordinary person are happening on the Medveditskaya ridge. Strange triangular objects appear, luminous round or spherical objects. Some locals claim to have even seen a UFO landing.

The Medveditskaya ridge is also famous for its fireballs. It is said that sometimes you can observe several fireballs calmly flying low above the ground at once, which easily burn their way through thick tree trunks. By the way, trees burned in such an interesting way are actually quite common on the Medveditskaya ridge! In addition, according to some researchers of the anomalies of the Medveditskaya ridge, these lightnings fly strictly over two tunnels located underground at a shallow depth. There are ancient legends about the existence of enchanted or cursed places in the area of the Medveditskaya ridge, about strange forest inhabitants who lived in these parts.

Devil's lair, Volgograd region

Several dead. A place on the Medvetskaya ridge in the Volgograd region. According to unconfirmed reports, spontaneous combustion of people occurs at this place. Cases of the discovery of the charred body of the shepherd Yuri Mamaev in 1990 and a similar case with combine operator Ivan Tsukanov are given. Although the second case has nothing to do with self-ignition, Tsukanov died saving a combine and a grain field from a flame, and in the first case there are too many facts that Mamaev died from burning hay, nevertheless this place is considered anomalous.

Death Valley in Kamchatka

Another well-known deadly place in Russia is the Death Valley in Kamchatka, which became known in the early 30s of the XX century. On western slope Kikhpinych volcano has hot springs. Their small thermal areas are cut by ravines, on the slopes and at the bottom of which weak streams of acidic hot water, steam and gases are knocked out. The lowest of the sites acquired an ominous reputation and received the name of the Valley of Death ... The Valley of Death was discovered by hunters who lost their dogs-likes.

Hunters found the corpses of dogs in the upper reaches of the Geysernaya River at the foot of the Kikhpinych volcano. Next to them on the bare - not a blade of grass - lay a lot of dead birds and animals - bears, wolves, hares. The hunters fled in horror from this "damn cemetery", and not in vain. Soon the dogs, who had been together with people in a "bad" place, died, and the people themselves began to wither before our eyes: they became lethargic, rapidly losing weight, they began to have inexplicable headache.

Samarskaya Luka

Samarskaya Luka is today considered one of the most active anomalous zones in the world. According to experts, over the past 10 years alone, more than a thousand paranormal activity. So, for example, eyewitnesses say that they have repeatedly encountered such phenomena as "cat's paws" - several glowing lights that can be observed over the Zhiguli mountains, and "cat ears" - low rays of light that appear as if from nowhere. Also, they say, meetings with Bigfoot are not uncommon here. Moreover, he was seen by quite educated and sane people. So, for example, one of the meetings took place in the autumn of 1950, a few kilometers from the road to ToAZ, at the edge of the forest. In July 1977 - new information about the meeting with this creature. A resident of Zhigulevsk, going into the forest, breaking away from the satellite, suddenly felt someone's presence. Turning around, she saw a creature two meters tall, covered with hair, he had deep-set eyes.

Another anomaly - in the village of Vali a few years ago, for the first time in the region, anomalous ovals were noticed in granular fields. This phenomenon is truly paranormal, say ufologists. In addition, as experts say, they love these places and UFOs very much, appearing here regularly. Many other paranormal phenomena are also found in Samarskaya Luka.

The main glory of the Samara region and Tolyatti was brought by such natural objects of the Samara Bend as a rock White stone, Leshy ravine, Gorodishche, Shamanskaya glade and, of course, Mount Svetelka. It is said that wishes made on it tend to come true. There is a belief that some people who have climbed the mountain improve their personal lives, someone is lucky in business or career, new knowledge appears, and someone even begins to read minds. It turns out that the boundary of the fault of two geological plates passes along the above objects. It is believed that this position gives a powerful geomagnetic radiation. According to the locals, "mountain Svetelka is energy." And for this reason, these places have become a Mecca for pilgrims and scholars from all over the world.

Rock White Stone has long been considered a place where "roads go from nowhere to nowhere, and time is powerless." It happened that people who got there noticed that time flows there in a slightly different way than in “our” space. It seemed to them that they had been in this place for only a few hours, but in fact days had passed. They say that once a young hunter went to the rock, wandered for three days in the Leshy ravine, which guards the White Stone from the south. He came out of there gray-haired, did not tell anyone where he was and what he saw, and only repeated: "I will not go there again." And then he completely left these places. They say that, going to that place, people sometimes find themselves, as it were, in another reality, in other places, another nature, where they have not been before. Well, here, as if on command, they suddenly turn off and just as suddenly start working again mobile phones and television cameras.

Village in Udmurtia

In Udmurtia, they found a mysterious village from which the inhabitants fled. People left their houses, but left all their belongings in them. 18 empty houses. From the nearest locality This village is five kilometers away. But this is directly, through the swamps. But don't go through them. Bypassing all the impassable places, a group of researchers wound around 15 kilometers through the forest.

A few years ago, I found an article about this village on the Internet. I saved it for myself ... and forgot it, - says the head of the Sphere-X group, Valery Kotov. “Recently people have contacted me. They found one of the geologists of that expedition. It was he who explained to us how to get to this village. According to geologists, the village was located on a clearing. All the trees around were burned. Smoke was coming from the chimneys, but there was not a single inhabitant in the village. Valery Kotov with a group of researchers did not find the scorched circle, nor did they find smoke from the chimneys. Only 18 empty houses overgrown with raspberries, grass and young trees. The expedition looked into each of these houses. They weren't locked. The oven doors in all the houses were open. There were wooden utensils on the tables, the beds were made, clothes hung on the chairs. All the utensils remained as if someone had gone out for a short time and should return soon.

Devil's cemetery or glade, Krasnoyarsk Territory

It is known about 75 missing or dead in the last 30 years. A clearing with a hole in the center, located on top of a small mountain, formed in 1908. One of the versions is that it was here that the Tunguska object fell, pierced the mouth of an extinct volcano, because of which the glade itself was formed, and the hole is an ungrown volcano mouth. All life perishes in the clearing, hundreds of dead cows and other domestic animals are known to wander into the clearing.

In this regard, after the war, all people were resettled from these places. In the pre-war period, several hundred people died, either on the clearing itself or near it.

Lake of never-melting ice

Elgygytgyn (Lake of non-melting ice) is a unique crater lake in Chukotka, located on the Anadyr Plateau, 390 kilometers northwest of Anadyr. It has an almost circular shape, the diameter of the lake is about 12 kilometers, max. depth - 174 m, area - 110 km, average annual temperature about 3 °C, height above sea level - 489 m.

A few indigenous people say that people often disappear here, strange northern mirages appear, unusual phenomena on the surface of the lake, as if some giant creature emerges from the water with noise and disappears just as quickly, so the lake is bypassed, they say, deserted this place is dead... What could it be? Scientists believe that, most likely, methane comes out of cracks in the earth's crust at the bottom, but it cannot immediately rise to the surface through the thickness of icy water, it accumulates, and then goes up in a huge bubble. But for now, this is just a hypothesis. Since the lake was not subjected to glaciation (as scientists believe), the possibility of unknown relic organisms living in it cannot be ruled out.

Near the city of Vyborg

In the Paltsevo area near the city of Vyborg Leningrad region in 1991, an anomalous zone was recorded, named after three names of Tagore researchers (Tatiana, Golts, Raitarovsky). To the northeast of the Paltsevo area, near Vyborg, UFO sightings were often observed, and a truck mysteriously disappeared on the highway right in front of eyewitnesses. In addition, locals claim that in this area, with a long stay, you begin to feel someone's observation and hypnotic gaze.

Valley of the Dead in the Caucasus

The Caucasian Valley of the Dead has a bad reputation among the local population, it is truly an anomalous zone. There are strange things going on here. Sheep do not graze near this place, birds do not fly. Why is this place so dark? In the 16th century, there was a village here. Which is completely dead. At that time, a terrible epidemic swept through these places, claiming the lives of all the villagers. It was rumored that it was a terrible family spell that mowed down everyone who lived in the village. How many years have passed since those times, but someone does not inhabit the old ruins, do not plow the local fields, do not take care of the garden. Because strange things still happen here. People who unknowingly wandered into these areas had strange visions.

The stories of local residents also speak of ghosts in these places. About the terrible headaches that suddenly come on those who are on this earth. Today these places are considered negative, no one visits them. Bypassing it just in case. In the eighties of the twentieth century, a Soviet photographer visited the Caucasian Valley of the Dead. Having made a big photo session, he returned to Moscow and died of an unknown disease. The film was developed by one famous researcher paranormal activity. What soon the whole world saw in these photographs shocked many. In the ancient gardens among the trees, the ghosts of women stood, surrounded by rings of very bright light. What it is, no one has explained to our time.

Cape Ryty on Baikal

The surroundings of Rytoe are a zone of anomalies. This is due to geological features. Isostatics varies between the Akademichesky Ridge and the Rita Pad. People are keenly aware of the impact, both positive and negative. Amnesia, hysteria, hallucinations and prophetic dreams are common in this area. The person here is aging at an accelerated pace and feels incredibly tired. None of the Soviet-era hunting villages organized on this land stood for more than 2 decades. Its inhabitants perished one by one, and women suffered infertility. Scientists suggested an increased radiation background near the river gorge, but studies and measurements of indicators could not confirm the hypothesis. Aborigines say they saw a UFO near Ryty. It is assumed that in the places of earth faults there is an interaction with the energy of the sun.

Mysterious Green Island

The most incredible rumors have long been circulating about this small island, located within the city of Rostov-on-Don. And no wonder. They say that before the start of the Great Patriotic War, a UFO fell here. An unusual aircraft was mistaken for a new reconnaissance aircraft of the enemy. However, there is an opinion that it really was one of the flying disc-shaped vehicles being developed in the 30s by the German Sonderburo No. 13 on Hitler's orders. In 1939, the first "flying disc" powered by inventor Viktor Schauberger took to the air. In photographs preserved in the archives of the German secret society Anenerbe, this device looks exactly like the "flying saucer" described by UFO eyewitnesses. However, some ufologists believe that it was still not German, but an alien ship. And further events indirectly confirm this version.

The well-known Moscow ufologist Alexei Priyma, who lived in Rostov until 1973, claims that he happened to read the memoirs of a former NKVD officer about a “flying device without wings” that crashed on Green Island. One way or another, the NKVD troops launched a vigorous activity on Zeleny. The place was cordoned off by guards. And the incident itself was classified.

However, they did not have time to finish the work, since by the beginning of the war the island was still guarded, and when the Nazis broke through to Rostov in the fall of 1941, they defended it fiercely. The Germans, on the other hand, were no less stubbornly striving to capture Zeleny, which they were especially interested in. Probably, a fallen unidentified flying object played a significant role in this interest. Now it is no secret to anyone that Hitler was fond of UFOs, esotericism, extrasensory perception, etc. However, in the case of our island, it is not clear whether Hitler wanted to take possession of the alien apparatus or return the development of his engineers so that the Russians would not unravel the secret of his new weapon.

However, in addition to UFOs, the island has other secrets. Strange things happen on the Green from time to time. Here is one typical story. A married couple with a six-year-old daughter were vacationing on the island. While the adults were making a fire for barbecue, my daughter disappeared. Parents, having checked the tent and making sure that the girl was not there, ran in a panic through the thickets, trying to find the baby. After a couple of hours of unsuccessful searches, they decided to contact the police. And then suddenly they saw a daughter ... sleeping in a tent, which they searched more than once. When the girl was awakened, she said that in the thickets near the shore she saw a large black stone and, barely touching it, fell asleep. What happened after she ended up in the tent, the girl did not remember. But she assured that she did not return there herself.

Interestingly, attempts to purposefully find the mysterious black stone lead to nothing. However, the island is covered with dense vegetation, and its West Side and completely impassable. But eyewitnesses most often talk about it as an anomalous zone. Several scientific expeditions landed on the island, including the All-Russian Research Association Kosmopoisk. Instrumental studies of the western tip of the island were carried out, which revealed weak anomalies, probably associated with underground structures on the northwestern coast - the remains of old trenches and dugouts, as well as small underground structures of unknown purpose. The expedition members witnessed on the island sound signals of unknown origin and manifestations of the properties of a typical "prodigal place" - an anomaly in which the most incredible incidents are possible, primarily a complete loss of spatial orientation.

Vidimskoye tract

In the Nizhneilimsk region Irkutsk region the Vidim tract, in which the Dead Lake is located, is notorious. On the side where the tract is located, a glow constantly appears in the night sky with a silvery tint, and even circles remain on the ground.

People often go missing in the area of the Dead Lake: both fishermen drown and hunters disappear. In 1992, a group of researchers from Naberezhnye Chelny got lost here. In the same area, 40 km from the village of Vidim, in 1992, a train of 23 wagons carrying components of weapons of mass destruction (WMD), as well as 42 security guards and two locomotive drivers mysteriously disappeared. Still looking for! In June 1997, the operative group of the Vidim settlement police department of three people mysteriously disappeared. Searches also yielded no results.

Lake Labynkyr (Yakutia)

The legendary reservoir in the Oymyakonsky district in the east of Yakutia. According to legend, a huge animal lives in the lake, possibly of relic origin. They say that it is this animal that swallows animals and people. According to legend, the number of "swallowed" exceeded ten people. There is no real evidence of the existence of this animal, like dozens of victims. The place is hard to reach, practically unexplored, the lake has not attracted researchers over the past fifty years.

Triangle of Molebs

The so-called Moleb Triangle, located on the border Sverdlovsk region and Perm region. Abnormal events constantly occur on its territory: people and animals disappear. In addition, local residents claim that they see creatures of alien origin. However, such a mystical illumination of the region is only good for him. Every year, tourists and ufologists come here from all over the world to see and feel the aura of this mysterious place.

For example, in 1995, scientist Valery Yakimov decided to explore the Moleb Triangle with a group of ufologists. A group of reputable researchers in the amount of 60 people really observed strange phenomena in the atmosphere, which can be called UFOs. And in 1996, in the publication “Ural Pathfinder”, ufologist Maxim Shishkin described in detail the cases of the disappearance of groups of tourists in the 90s and described the mysterious phenomena he observed.

Cherepovets swamp

Frightening legends go around the Vologda region about this swamp. Rumor has it that it allegedly "asks" its future victims to come closer to it. There are very frequent cases of suicide, and under unclear circumstances. The locals also claim that often ignorant of the peculiarities of this place, people approached it and literally disappeared without a trace in a few minutes ... In the 19th century, merchants regularly disappeared here. In 1972, due to a sinkhole, dozens of soldiers died here, who drove through the swamps on heavy equipment. And nowadays, every year, several locals or tourists disappear into the swamp.

Witchwood Mysteries

The anomalous zone in the vicinity of the city of Yuryev-Polsky, which is on the border of the Yaroslavl and Vladimir regions, is little known and is not very popular with researchers. UFOs in the zone are seen no more often than in other places, neither mysterious disappearances of people nor jumps in time occur in it. But the forests there still enjoy a bad reputation.

Perhaps the most striking case occurred in 1992 with members of an amateur research group who arrived here after they read an article in the newspaper about the local anomalies. The group consisted of several young people. In the village, they met local guys, who told that the ghost of a man in a noose sometimes appears in the forest. This story is old, happened shortly after the war. It was as if some demobilized soldier killed his wife and several other people on a drunken case, and after sobering up, he went into the forest and hanged himself. The body was found and taken away, but since then, in the evening twilight, most often on a full moon, a soldier is sometimes seen in the thickets hanging from a tree. Two urban "explorers" who did not believe in either God or hell decided to take a walk through the forest on the full moon, in order to dispel the legend later. The rest remained to wait for them at the edge of the fire. By the way, the townspeople already more or less knew local forest. It was sparse, walking along its outskirts in the evening did not seem such a difficult thing. Moreover, the moon was shining.

One of these two, Maxim, later said that they almost immediately felt fear, but they did not show it, they tried to stay cheerful and walked as fast as the bush allowed. Maxim's friend was the first to notice a rope with a noose hanging from a tree. Both were frightened, but assumed that it was probably the villagers who had played a trick on them, hanging the rope on purpose. However, the friends decided to complete their trip and went to the edge, which was supposed to be a few tens of meters away. But no matter how much they walked, for some reason the forest did not end.

Suddenly, a tree with a rope appeared in front of them again. That was it, the guys immediately recognized him. In some incomprehensible way, friends again went to the place of suicide! They were seized with real fear, they backed away and asked the goad. But after some time they again stumbled upon the same tree. Only this time there was a man hanging from the noose! The young people saw him quite distinctly! Now, in a real panic, the friends rushed to run in earnest. As if on purpose, the moon disappeared in the clouds, a strong wind rose, trees swayed around. This only increased the fear of the fugitives. Stopping to catch their breath, they clearly heard behind them the crunch of branches under someone's feet. Not remembering how, the guys jumped out of the forest. And when they ran along the edge, they looked back and saw the dark silhouette of a man who was moving after them. It was difficult to see him in the dark, but Maxim and his friend had no doubts - this was the same dead man.

They ran to the fire. Apparently, the fear was passed on to others. Without starting to find out what kind of stranger was pursuing the members of their group, the "researchers" ran in a crowd to the village. They broke into the house, alarming the owners. Together with the guys, a guard dog ran into the house, which had never happened before, and, trembling, hid under the bed. At this hour (it was half past midnight) the whole village woke up. Dogs howled in every yard. The horses neighed loudly and fought in the stable; in the end they broke free and fled into the meadows. Some villagers, looking out the windows, saw the dark figure of a man, but for some reason no one came out and asked who he was. On the contrary, people were afraid even to turn on the light. The next day, Maxim and his friend told that they had seen a gallows in the forest. They were convinced that this dead man followed them all the way to the village. Surprisingly, their story was believed. Someone remembered that this had already happened: suddenly, on the quietest night, a storm began, the animals were alarmed, and a “black man” was walking through the village, in which the old-timers recognized that same soldier. In addition to the soldier, another ghost "lives" in the forest. It can also be seen during the day.

Nicholas cemetery. The last shelter of officials

One of the mysterious places in Russia - the old Nikolskoye cemetery at the famous Alexander Nevsky Lavra in St. Petersburg was opened back in 1861. Today, the once-famous cemetery is quite neglected, although once the highest Lavra clergy were buried here. Marble mausoleums squinted, and family crypts for the most part were rudely broken into, because since the end of the 20th century, cases of grave digging have been repeatedly noted at the Nikolsky cemetery.

“Black archaeologists” hunting for the regalia of the bishops and ministers buried in the Nikolsky necropolis are not even embarrassed by the fact that the cemetery has long been famous for the fact that here, among centuries-old trees and abandoned graves, right in the center of St. unclean force.

In our time, the Nikolskoye cemetery is put in order by the city authorities and the monastery. Restore ruined graves, cut down thickets. An alley of holders of the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky has also been created. The cemetery is becoming popular again, especially its “front” part, but, unfortunately, not the one on which outstanding writers, scientists and the color of the clergy rest, but new pompous alleys with burial places of officials and businessmen.

Satan walks around the Nikolsky cemetery, usually in the form of a huge black cat. According to legend, at the end of the 19th century, a certain monk lived near the cemetery, who was famous as a skilled healer. But the sick did not know that the monk heals them ... with powder from the bones of the dead. The monk was not a monk at all - he studied black magic and worshiped Lucifer, and wore a cassock only to divert eyes. For his soul, he received the ability to heal.

The dream of the black monk was to receive the elixir of immortality, and the devil gave him the recipe: on the bright holiday of Easter, the monk tied a girl to the cross, gouged out her eyes, cut off her tongue and substituted a cup under the stream of blood. But he did not have time to drain the cup full of the victim's blood: performing all the rituals, he forgot that this must be done before dawn. With the first rays of the sun, he fell dead to the ground.

Those who came to visit the graves of their relatives on Easter morning were amazed at what they saw: a dead girl tied to a cross, and a monk whose mouth was full of worms, and one leg was covered with hair and looked like a cat's paw! It was after this terrible incident at the Nikolsky cemetery that they began to meet a huge black cat. Surely the unclean one is looking for a new victim and longs to possess new souls, and does he get them in exchange for showing the way to the richest burials?

bypass channel. The line between the worlds of the living and the dead

For what reason does a person feel good in some places, while in others, at first glance, much more pleasant and prosperous, he commits suicide? Esotericists and parapsychologists explain this by the curse of dead places, which remain so, even "dressed" in granite and marble.

The bypass canal in St. Petersburg has long been infamous. At first it was the outskirts of the city, but today the Obvodny Canal area is the most prestigious center. But… residents don't stay here for long, especially sensitive people. In any way, they are trying to get out of the "cursed place", to exchange or sell their housing on the banks of the "ditch", the waters of which, like a magnet, attract suicides.

Sometimes a person is not even able to explain why it was here that the thought of suicide occurred to him. Many people call the Obvodny Canal bridge "the line between two environments" - the world of the living and the world of the dead.

In the black waters of the canal, you can often see the faces of suicides, both recently deceased and centuries ago.

Some of the unfortunates who manage to be saved even claim that they did not want to jump into the water at all and that they were simply thrown over the railing of the bridge by someone's invisible hand!

Back in the time of Peter the Great, the founder of St. Petersburg, the location of the current canal was notorious among the local population - the Karelians. Here was the dwelling of a sorcerer, famous for his ability to bewitch enemies. When laying the canal, the sorcerer was executed, but his blood spilled on this place continues his dirty work to this day, attracting the souls of careless victims into the world of shadows - the descendants of the conquerors of the Karelian lands.

Bypass Canal - the largest canal in St. Petersburg. It connects the Neva and Yekateringofka rivers. For many years, for the many factories that sprouted like mushrooms on its navigable banks, the canal served as both a waste ditch and a water intake. Today, the canal has become shallow, and only dilapidated premises remind of plants and factories. Many buildings are being restored, but even office clerks are trying to find work outside the area, complaining about the constant headaches that haunt them in this place, and depression.

Some researchers of historical secrets claim that there was no sorcerer in these parts, but a sorcerer lived here, worshiping pagan gods. It was his temple that was devastated, and the sorcerer himself and six innocent Karelian clergymen were killed at the site of the future canal. What is true and what is fiction is not clear, but the fact remains: in the waters of the canal, suicides more often see the faces of girls in white, and local residents claim that, despite outward comfort, the psychological atmosphere in the Obvodny Canal area is depressing.

Building with a rotunda on Gorokhovaya. Dream for life

Every resident of St. Petersburg, who is interested in his city, can show the way to the house with a rotunda on Gorokhovaya Street near the Fontanka. Behind the old door leading to an inconspicuous mansion, a real miracle is hidden, invisible from the street - columns lined up in a circle and directed upwards, towards the dome, and an elegant cast-iron spiral staircase, on which at midnight, according to legend, none other than himself devil.

How could a round structure be inside a standard house, history is silent. The mansion was rebuilt many times, but the rotunda always remained inside - to break this mystical building no one dared.

The rotunda has unique acoustics: if you stand in the middle of the structure above and quietly whisper something, then the phrase seems to fly around the vault in a circle and return to the speaker ... from the back! It turns out that the rotunda can whisper anything in your ear - you just need to get here and find the necessary words!

In the history of St. Petersburg, one can find a mention that once the owner of the mansion with a rotunda was a prominent Freemason Count Andrei Zubov. It was here, under the dome, which was securely hidden from prying eyes by the attic ceilings of the house, that the initiation ceremonies of new members of the St. Petersburg Masonic Lodge were performed.

Often visited the house with a rotunda and Grigory Rasputin, who was often called none other than the Holy Devil. His mansion was right next door. They say that Satan himself appears on the stairs at midnight, who can fulfill any dream of a person, but ... petitioners usually turn out to be dead in the morning. They can only enjoy a dream come true for a few hours - until dawn.

The Rotunda is, without a doubt, a mysterious place. If you look at the columns from below, there is a feeling of dizziness and flight. The world around begins to revolve, like the wheel of samsara - fate, the pace of which cannot be changed by any forces except ... the rotunda! Before the residents of the house with a mysterious structure inside nevertheless put a lock on the doors of their entrance, protecting their possessions from uninvited visitors, all the walls around were covered with the cherished desires of people who seek to change their lives. Many of those who came here say that after visiting this place, their wildest dreams came true.

The building of Moscow State University. Stalin's mystical pyramid

Right in the middle of Moscow, almost in its very center, stepped high-rise buildings rise - the so-called "Stalin's skyscrapers". They were erected in the middle of the 20th century by order of I. Stalin. It is no secret that the leader was very interested in mysticism, and he wanted to strengthen the influence of his own personality throughout Russia, and especially in Moscow.

It is not in vain that paranormal properties are attributed to the pyramids. They were erected by most of the great civilizations: the ancient Egyptians, the Mayans and the Aztecs, pyramids were found in Mesopotamia and the Crimea, and even Lenin was buried not just anywhere, but in a stylized pyramid!

Everyone who studied the impact of pyramids on the human body noted that these structures have only positive aspects. But besides the fact that the high-rise pyramids, which are located along the ring line of Moscow, undoubtedly have an impact on the health of those who live in them, other factors should be noted: literally each of these buildings has its own riddles and secrets.

All 8 "Stalin skyscrapers" were laid on the same day and hour: exactly at noon, September 7, 1947, on the significant day of the 800th anniversary of Moscow. And although their laying was only symbolic, and real construction began only two years later, Stalin preferred to listen to the opinion of astrologers. It was they who chose the auspicious date. High-rise buildings are still firmly “standing on their feet” and, no doubt, are the decoration of Moscow.

Some claim that the rather deep cellars of Moscow State University are connected by a special metro line to an underground strategic town in Ramenki. But this is far from being as curious as the fact that in the middle of the 243-meter tower of Moscow State University there is an archive floor where documents, drawings and sketches of the building projects are stored, which, according to the plan, instead of a spire, should have been crowned with a huge figure of Stalin. The university was supposed to be named after him, but... the tyrant died, and the temple of science was named after Lomonosov, although even the letters to fix on the facade were already ready! The statue of the leader, who became famous for bloody repressions, was also not installed on the tower of Moscow State University. The dissatisfied spirit of Stalin often wanders around the room to this day, shifting old folders from place to place and raising archival dust.

Mikhailovsky Castle. Emperor's last refuge

Mikhailovsky Castle belongs to the mysterious places of Russia. The last residence of the unfortunate Emperor Paul 1 was his own brainchild - Mikhailovsky, otherwise the Engineering Castle, which was built by his decree in St. Petersburg on the site of the summer palace of his grandmother, the late Empress Elizabeth I.

Mikhailovsky Castle is named after St. Michael, who appeared to the guard soldier at the site where the castle was later built. It is possible that the emperor deliberately spread the legend of the vision in order to substantiate the rather dubious need for the urgent construction of a new residence. This is the only known case in the history of Russian architecture when a secular architectural structure was named not in honor of the owner, by the name of the territory or purpose, but in honor of the saint.

The majestic building was erected in just 4 years according to the project of the great Russian architect V. Bazhenov. The construction was supervised by another outstanding architect - V. Brenn, who was also involved in the development of the interiors of the palace.

Paul 1 was obsessed with the idea of creating his residence for many years. The Mikhailovsky Castle was built in such a hurry that for its construction, the missing materials were taken from the construction sites of St. Isaac's Cathedral and the Tauride Palace, and work did not stop even at night, they were carried out by the light of lanterns and torches!

In November 1800, on the day of the Archangel Michael, the castle was solemnly consecrated, but the palace was finally completed only a year later. February 1, 1801 - the emperor moved the family to a new palace, which looked more like a medieval fortress. But Pavel was in such a hurry that he did not pay attention either to the cold reigning in the unheated palace, or to the dampness, from which a fog hung in the halls to such an extent that even the fires of thousands of candles could not disperse it.

The Emperor lived in the Mikhailovsky Castle for only 40 days. On the night of March 11-12, Paul 1 was killed by conspirators in his own bedroom. The royal family left the Mikhailovsky Castle never to return there again. The palace-fortress, the only example of palace romantic classicism in Russia, began to gradually fall into disrepair.

The death of Paul 1 was predicted by Blessed Xenia of Petersburg herself. She said that Pavel would live as many years as there are letters in the inscription on the frieze of the Resurrection Gate of the new palace. “Holiness to the Lord is fitting for your house in the length of days,” the inscription read. It had exactly 47 letters - the emperor died at the forty-seventh year of his life.

Maybe a hasty getaway royal family from the castle was due to the fact that the spirit of the late emperor never left the place of violent death. The ghost of Paul 1 appeared almost every night! He was seen by soldiers and officers of the palace service, as well as bystanders who repeatedly noticed the luminous figure of the late emperor in the dark windows of the palace.

I love Cherkechekh. Land of the Crime Alien

Yakutia - in the upper reaches of the Vilyui River, there is an anomalous zone - the Elyuyu Cherkechekh valley, the name is translated from Yakut as "Death Valley". These places have long been known to hunters and enjoy a bad reputation among them. In the valley there are several huge metal objects of incomprehensible purpose, resembling huge boilers, and the Yakut legends brought to us events that probably took place so long ago that it is impossible to say exactly when, with whom and why a man-made disaster occurred that threw the edge of permafrost, all these incomprehensible objects.

In addition to being a hideous character, the Criminal Alien is said to "sow disease" and "release balls of fire". Translated into modern language, it is possible to say with confidence that for centuries the Yakuts have been passing from mouth to mouth stories about an alien ship that crashed in these parts.

Hunters claim that under the ground there is a metal corridor with a large number of metal rooms. At the very height of winter, they are warm as in summer, but one who stayed overnight in such a room, then fell ill for a long time, and spending the night there twice means dooming himself to a quick death.

Not far from Elyuyu Cherkechekh flows a river named Algyi Timirnit, which means "The big cauldron drowned." On its shore, in fact, there is a huge, seemingly copper cauldron, so deeply embedded in the soil that only its edge is visible above the surface. The dimensions of the boiler are such that trees grow inside it!

Gold miners who saw the cauldrons in the 1970s reported that the diameter of the unknown metal spheres ranged from 6 to 9 meters, and the substance from which they are made does not take either a hammer or a well-sharpened chisel. On top of the "boilers" is covered with a layer similar to emery, but even this layer could not be scratched with any tools. Abnormally lush grass and trees grow around the spheres. A group of gold miners who spent the night in the "cauldron" did not feel any effect, but one of the miners lost all the hair on his body after a month. In another, on the side of the head that touched the metal in a dream, three tiny non-healing sores appeared, which did not fully heal until the end of his life.

All this - and abnormal vegetation, and fallen hair, and ulcers - suggests that the "boilers" have a greatly increased radiation background. It is not for nothing that the Yakuts bypass them and, without good reason, do not dare to spend the night in them, although inside it is warm in the most severe frosts. In addition, the legends of the northern people tell about the evil giant Wat Usumu Tong Duuraye, whose name in Yakut means “Criminal Alien, who pierced the earth with a fiery tornado, destroying everything around”!

There are places in the world that have attracted people for many decades. Mysticism accompanies them, crimes remain unsolved, disappearances of people are not explained in any way, frightening natural phenomena and terrible stories of witnesses appear constantly. Stories are passed down from generation to generation. Sometimes it is very difficult to find out the truth about such a mysterious place. In the age of science, the inability to explain everything rationally can lead to madness. Especially when you can't get an answer at all. Even leading scientists are regularly confronted with mysteries so complex that they can’t figure it out. In a world that is well explored, it is always unusual to learn about places that hide surprises. If you love mysticism and think that you can solve the mysteries of these places, get to know them. You may come to the conclusion that some things are better not to know.
