1. British Virgin Islands. Perhaps there are more luxurious summer destinations, but places such as this one that combine the possibilities of creating an offshore business and a comfortable pastime are truly unique. And if the chosen summer holiday destination has both of the above features that characterize the resort as a geographical and economic point, then getting into the list of not the cheapest vacation spots for such countries is guaranteed.

TOP 10 most popular summer resorts

In this TOP, the countries will be arranged in a different order, and the most popular in terms of visits by foreign guests will be the one that is first on the list. By the way, despite the weather and political upheavals, the most favorite places for tourists from the CIS countries have not changed. Therefore, we describe summer holiday destinations precisely in terms of popularity among travelers, without pursuing commercial gain and sending readers to the site no one knows where.

4. Ukraine, Black Sea coast. Everyone knows the peninsula of Crimea, in other words, remembering its name in the previous era of statehood - the all-Union health resort. Therefore, the summer resorts of Ukraine are not inferior in demand to popular foreign resorts.

5. Abkhazia. This small but very proud country is disinterested, simple and friendly to all guests, as is customary among people with Caucasian roots. It makes no sense to describe Gagra, Sukhum or Gudauta - our story about the Abkhazian summer resorts in this short list of the most popular ones will be too superficial resort countries. Therefore, for full description of this place of rest, it is necessary to turn to the primary source - the section devoted to Abkhazia. We guarantee that the summer holiday destinations of this country are worth more careful study by those who are looking for picturesque summer resorts on the Black Sea coast.

Fortunately, there are plenty of places for summer holidays in a country that, in principle, does not know winter.

7. Tunisia. This is another pearl of those summer holiday destinations that delight their visitors with comfort, care and just a beautiful pastime. 8. Republic of the Dominican Republic. It is located on the island of Haiti, in the Caribbean. Its nature is typical for the summer resorts of the Atlantic. However, there is something special in the Dominican Republic: affordability compared to summer vacation spots in that region. By the way, if the Europeans, Ukrainians and Russians traditionally spend their holidays in Turkey, then the residents of the two continents-Americas - in the Dominican Republic.

9. Summer resorts in Europe. In this category, it is also difficult to single out any particular state, so all the famous summer holiday destinations in Europe go together and take the ninth place in popularity in the ranking of those vacation spots that are traditional for our readers.

In addition, in both cases, it closes the rating list. Well, for a reason, the demand for exotic Cuban beach holidays is growing, if many of us are aimed specifically at these paradise islands of the Caribbean.

In general, there are so many interesting and unusual things in Brazil that it’s impossible to list everything. But environmentalists believe that due to global warming, the water temperature is slowly rising, which, together with its pollution, leads to the death of corals. The most pessimistic forecasts give the reef a few more decades of life, and after that it may happen that there will be nothing to look at. So hurry up to Australia!

Great question! We thought for a long time, conducted opinion polls, monitored airports and train stations, and compiled a list of countries that, according to most tourists, are trends.

So, the topic of the day and tips for tourists:

Top 10 holiday destinations to visit this season

Thailand

Thailand, although it does not live only due to tourism, but has conquered all over the world, like a sec .. like tourist paradise. Last year, about 27 million tourism enthusiasts from all over the world visited Thailand. Moreover, 15 million of them were noted in the capital of Thailand, Bangkok. And this is an absolute record among all cities in the world! The rich cultural heritage of the country, modern Thai hotels that amaze the imagination, snow-white beaches, a combination of delicious traditional cuisine - all this makes Thailand a favorite holiday destination for tourists who have already been there and the goal of potential independent travelers.

Brazil

To quote the classic, let's say “The sun shines here all year round, the residents are cheerful, always ready to discuss the latest football news and take you to an incendiary samba”. Brazil provides tourists with such a variety of recreational opportunities that at one end of the country you can hunt a jaguar in the jungle, and at the other stupidly sip a classic Caipirinha cocktail to the sounds of a bassanova. More than 2 thousand beaches and thousands of islands scattered across the map are the pearls of the Atlantic Ocean. From secluded lagoons to the busiest surf bays…

You get tired of listing everything that you can and should visit in Brazil, but you definitely have to go on an expedition to the real jungle of the Amazon, catch a 2-meter pyraruk fish from the river, visit Ostap Bender’s dream of Rio de Janeiro - one of most beautiful cities around the world, sunbathe on the beaches of Pacocabana and Ipanema, listen to samba and bassanova, practice the local extreme sport by sliding down a 20-meter dune straight into the blue sea on a piece of plastic. There is no snow in Brazil. By the way, this year Brazil is the venue for the next Summer Olympics.

Great Barrier Reef - Australia

The Great Barrier Reef is the largest coral formation in the world! It is considered one of the most .. wonders of the world. Diving enthusiasts can observe about one and a half thousand fish, dolphins, whales, and other marine fauna here. Environmentalists predict soon the disappearance of reefs due to global warming, as well as pollution environment. Germany

Germany, and to be exact, Berlin. Berlin is the only European city on our list. And Berlin is rightfully considered one of the "coolest" European cities. We understand that Europe for travel is not “cool” or fashionable, but we must admit that Berlin is the most accessible city for us, given the relatively inexpensive airfare and inexpensive hotels. Berlin is a city where trendy clubs and bars, designer shops side by side with traditional historical sights. In a word, we recommend!

By the way, Russian citizens do not need a visa to travel to Cuba.

Saint-Petersburg, Russia

Peter is one of the most, I'm not afraid of this word, cities in the world, home Russian Empire, the most European city in Russia. Here you will definitely know what to do: more than 200 museums, more than 100 theaters and even more private galleries. And the architecture! The architects of Italy, France, and Germany worked hard on the construction of St. Petersburg. This is real cultural capital Russia. Pushkin, Akhmatova, Repin, Dostoevsky, Chaliapin worked in St. Petersburg. A city on 33 islands, 342 bridges of which 22 are bred in the summer. You simply must visit St. Petersburg this year, and indeed, every year. Well, unless you live in it yourself.

Our beloved Croatia, as soon as it became a member of the European Union and Schengen, regularly began to cancel visas for Russians. And our compatriots really appreciate it and are happy to go to enjoy the mild climate of the country. Yes, the weather in Croatia is cool, very pleasant. Croatia offers stunning landscapes and beaches of the Adriatic. A ancient architecture, and famous Mediterranean cuisine, and wines… This is Croatia!

===================================================================

We studied guidebooks, forums, blogger reports, booking systems, food pricing sites and selected the most available countries for vacation. For each, we calculated the budget for two people a day and converted it into dollars. This is the average amount for a couple of travelers who live in the same room, do not like to spend too much and stick to the golden mean in everything. After all, everyone understands different things by comfort: one will have enough beds in a hostel, others will still choose among five-star hotels. Therefore, we did not take into account luxury hotels and restaurants, but found out how much it costs to eat in ordinary local cafes and live in guesthouses, mini-hotels or apartments on Airbnb.

In some countries, costs are easily cut one and a half to two times if you use public transport, there are non-tourist places and look for hotels on the principle of "we only spend the night." For India and Indonesia, for example, we recommend a daily budget of $40-50, but these countries can be traveled as a couple for $20 per day.

Faktrum publishes a very useful article from the Skyscanner blog that will help you plan your vacation profitably.

Cheap countries without a visa

Armenia

Approximate prices:

You can have a hearty and cheap meal in Armenia at every turn: khachapuri in Yerevan costs up to 500 drams ($ 1), lamajo (a flatbread with spicy meat filling) - up to $ 1.7, and a crayfish kebab near Lake Sevan - about $ 3. The average bill in a simple cafe is $3-4, and for a dinner for two in a tourist restaurant, pay $7-30.

In the capital of Armenia there are inexpensive hotels with double rooms for $25-30. If you like home comfort on vacation, rent a nice studio in a quiet area for $20 or an apartment in the city center on Airbnb for $30-40 per night. Outside the capital, prices are slightly lower. In Armenia, as in Georgia, a stranger may invite you for coffee, dinner, or even an overnight stay. Agree: this is not fraud, but hospitality.

Standard route:

Yerevan and environs; lake Sevan; Vanadzor and Lori Gorge; Khor Virap Monastery with views of Ararat; Vorotan Valley and Tatev Monastery.

Visa:

Without a visa, you can enter Armenia for up to 180 days during the year. If you want more, find out how to apply for an Armenian visa.

Georgia

Approximate prices:

There is no street food as such in Georgia. You can catch on the go only fresh khachapuri or lobiani, which are sold on every corner for 2–3 lari ($1). Lunch in a cafe will cost $6, and for a generous dinner with wine, pay from $8. An intermediate option is khinkali: you won’t have to look for them for a long time, one piece costs 60–70 tetri (0.25–0.30 $). A dozen khinkali with a salad and a glass of beer (for everything - $ 4) is enough to eat for the whole day.

A modest double room in Tbilisi and Batumi costs from $40 per night. It will cost $10 less to rent an apartment in a pleasant area near the center of the capital. In seaside Batumi, you can rent small apartments in the private sector in 2016 for $20–25. Prices here are strongly tied to the season: an apartment by the sea with a fresh renovation and all amenities in the middle of summer costs about $40 per day. In less touristy places, you can easily find guest houses with rooms for $15-30.

Standard route:

Tbilisi; Mtskheta and the Georgian Military Highway; cave city in Vardzia; Signagi and Kakheti; Svaneti; Batumi and Black Sea coast. If time permits, you can take a one-way ticket to Georgia, travel further across the land to Armenia or Turkey and fly home from there.

Visa:

Citizens of Russia can spend a whole year in Georgia without a visa.

Abkhazia

Daily budget for two: $65–$75

Approximate prices:

A fragrant chicken skewers skewer in Abkhazia costs about 200 rubles ($ 2.7), a cheburek with cheese and meat - 70 rubles ($ 1). Lunch in a cafe by the sea will cost $5-12 for two, and a hearty dinner in apatskha (restaurant national cuisine) - at $ 9.5–13.5. For a one and a half liter bottle of homemade Abkhaz wine, give about $ 2.7.

On Airbnb, you can rent a room in a house by the sea in Sukhumi for $10 per day, and an apartment in the city center for $37 per day. If you dare to look for housing on the spot, it can come out even cheaper: a room in a private house in Gagra can be rented for $ 9, and near Pitsunda there are options for $ 8 for two.
