The symbol on the state flag - a palm tree - also speaks of a warm climate, and it flaunts on it to its full height! And the symbol of the city itself is a ripe peach. This place will be very comfortable for people who hate the cold. But those who are accustomed to the noise of a big city, the constant bustle and movement, may not quite like it here, since all this is not there. Fashionistas also have nothing to do in South Carolina, residents do not really bother about clothes, so there will be no one to shine in front of.

The name of the state comes from the name of the province of Carolina. It was originally a British colony North America, which in 1712 they decided to divide into South Carolina and North Carolina. I decided to gradually try all kinds of recreation and, it is worth saying that I succeeded. For the first few days I chose Myrtle Beach- this city is located near the Atlantic Ocean, and therefore it is distinguished by its freshness and beauty. Since people come here to relax, in the city you can find a lot of entertainment facilities - restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, large shopping centers and golf courses. On the Atlantic coast, this is one of the main resorts, so it is not at all surprising that in such big city local population is only 30 thousand people. The rest of Myrtle Beach is tourists.

The beaches of the city are sandy, very clean, comfortable. Be sure to have lifeguards on the beach, changing cabins, small showers, trash cans. The city is large, but in general, there is only one central long street. There are high-rise buildings - hotels, restaurants, entertainment establishments. This is the noisiest street, where life is always in full swing. It is especially attractive in the evening - all in lights, beautiful signs, full of people who came here to have fun and relax. If you turn off the street and come closer to the line of the beach, the skyscrapers end and small cute rural-type houses begin. Coppices and lakes are often found near the houses. I chose just such a place for living - a small house, where it is quiet, pleasant and cozy. Therefore, I can not say anything about the hotels of the city. Although I know for sure that tourists will be able to find good accommodation for themselves - from the most expensive numbers to small and inexpensive rooms.

There is only one school in the city, as well as a hospital, as well as a police station. With such a small population, this is quite enough. But there are about 200 churches, as the inhabitants are very devout. Myrtle Beach also has its own baseball team, whose players are proud of all residents. The sensations are amazing - and interesting, and even a little scary, when this huge predator swims close to you!

I also liked the design of the aquariums - the wreckage of the ships gives them an unusual, slightly fabulous look. An escalator moves along the aquariums - great news for those who do not like to walk a lot. You can also look at the tunnel from above, but this is after you pass it. In general, we can say that Myrtle Beach is a city where tourists can find everything for an amazing vacation. Life in the city is seething day and night, bars, restaurants, shops, small, but very interesting parks attractions for adults and children, water parks. I will share our impressions about the rest in Myrtle Beach. It was our first time in South Carolina, having only heard reviews from friends who were vacationing at Hilton Head, a true golfer's paradise. But we decided to choose Myrtle Beach and compare it with where we have been.

We arrived for two days, and immediately noted how lucky we were with the weather. We decided in advance to check in at the campsite, because this time we traveled with a tent along national parks East Coast (for example), and it turned out that in Myrtle Beach there is a campsite of our favorite company KOA. We lived with them right below in Wyoming and next to, and we have only positive reviews. These are very comfortable campsites - with a warm shower, kitchen, internet! In general, a house in nature.

We immediately settled in with them and went to free shuttle to the beach. Although it’s not long to go there, it’s nice that we were also given a lift.

Of course, after we soaked up, the beach in Myrtle Beach did not seem so beautiful. But this is only at first glance. Then I realized that we came at the height of the day, when everyone should be by the ocean and sunbathing, and there are not so many people, unlike Miami, where, despite the approaching hurricane, there was nowhere for an apple to fall!

The waves were not very strong, the water was warm. We didn't see any jellyfish. The sand is light and very soft. Everywhere there are bins where to throw garbage, so the beach is clean. Sun beds only from hotels. You must bring your own towel and umbrella.

There are practically no sports grounds on the beach, as on. Here sports equipment is on the sidelines and at hotels. But there are a lot of golf courses, literally at every step!

We had a great evening at Myrtle Beach, and then went for a walk to Pier 16. The entrance to the pier is paid, as it is a private restaurant. It is for this reason that gentlemen after 4 p.m. are only allowed in shirts. And we walked in a Hawaiian shirt, and not with a tie. I had to skip the walk along the pier, although we love to walk along the piers. One of my favorite piers is in Los Angeles. But that's okay, there are a lot of piers in Myrtle Beach!

Even more I liked the walk along the promenade. In Myrtle Beach, the promenade is more than a kilometer long (although it cannot be compared with the molecon promenade), it is well paved and you can walk in the shade. Just like on my favorite beach in Miami - Lammas Park. But there is also a wild promenade for jogging on the sand.

The sun was already setting, and we forgot that we had not seen the main celebrities of the city - the Ferris wheel and waterslides. The town is small and we quickly returned to Skywheel. On the road in the evening appeared expensive cars. And by the way, we met Russian guys here. So Myrtle Beach is slowly gaining popularity among Russian tourists, but it is still very far from Sunny Isles in Miami. And while there is almost no one there - have time to become pioneers!

Despite the fact that Myrtle Beach, like Miami, is not a sunset, but a dawn resort, as it is located on east coast USA and looks towards the sunrise in the Atlantic. But we found a way to enjoy sunsets with palm trees, almost like on.

It turned out that if you just turn your back on the ocean, there is just a charming twilight, very beautiful due to the fact that Myrtle Beach is a city with low buildings. And then the ones above become the perfect backdrop for the sunset.

In the morning we returned to the beach again. And on time! By the way, we still managed to have breakfast at our KOA Myrtle Beach campsite - we were treated to pancakes. And one of the uncles who runs a working model railroad at the campsite told us his story of how he moved to Myrtle Beach after working as a forensic cop. Said the cops had a hard job. But now he is resting: he shows everyone railway, blowing smoke from the firebox of steam locomotives, the children are very happy.

Here the fishermen went out to sea. And one of them caught a tiny shark, showed it to us, and then released it back into the ocean. I have never seen a shark in my life! And now I met.

There are no people on the beach in the morning, but the ocean is still warm. What can Myrtle Beach be compared to? He is certainly far from it. I would draw an analogy with Thai beaches, and specifically with the beaches on the coast Gulf of Thailand in the towns of Hua Hin and Cha-Am.

I recommend Myrtle Beach to everyone as an alternative to the loud Miami and the famous ones in one bottle. Family tourists with children, young couples who do not like loud parties, or people of age - they all should like Myrtle Beach.
