Austria is an expensive country. Currency - euro (get ready to spend); language - German (but in tourist places- spoken English - communication problems usually do not arise).
Just want to warn all lovers of ski resorts combined with slopes!!! Innsbruck is not like that!!! This sweetest medieval town founded in the thirteenth century, with richest history, stunning architecture and impressive cultural heritage.
It is located in picturesque place in the west of the country, not far from the border with Germany on the banks of the Inn River and surrounded on all sides by the majestic Alps.
By local, Austrian standards, Innsbruck is a large city - the capital of the Tyrrol region. But the population ... drum roll ... about 130 thousand people 😊, (due to tourists, of course, it decently increases during the season). By the standards of Mother Russia... maximum "district center" 😂 . Nevertheless, it is a major sports, industrial and Cultural Center countries. No wonder he hosted the Winter Olympics - twice!!! It was true in the 60s and 70s.
In its vicinity, by the way, there is also a factory for the production of world-famous Swarovski crystals, and of course there is a museum.... but if you are a skier to the fullest, skip this information ✌️😉
Let's talk about trails!!!
Fortunately, there are a large number of them in the vicinity of Innsbruck. And most importantly, they are of varying complexity. Picking up a descent in accordance with your level of training will not be difficult. From paddling pools with instructors to black slopes.
Just keep in mind, despite the generally accepted classification “by color”, from green to black .... these are completely different routes than, for example, in Bulgaria, and even more so in Russia.

But choosing this resort, you should understand that you will have to get to any of the routes by regular transport!!! From half an hour to 2-3 hours!!! Tiring I can tell you!!!
This is especially annoying when lovers winter views sports travel in this bus with their equipment. No, you won’t surprise anyone here with bulky luggage (in most intercity buses there are even special luggage racks for equipment). But hemorrhoids are certainly excellent! In connection with such movements, budget for additional expenses for transfers to the slopes. And Austria is not a cheap country at all. I'm not even going to try to figure out prices. My Alpine trip was quite a long time ago, everything flows, everything changes.
At the time of my visit to this wonderful resort, I had not yet acquired my own equipment. So the burden associated with its transportation bypassed me. But rental is not. By the way, the rental in the Alps is excellent!!! Excellent, not killed equipment. The Intersport rental and sales network is widespread there. Having registered at the first rental (taking all your measurements... height, weight, level, etc.), you can migrate along the routes of the region and not waste time on the daily selection of equipment - they immediately take out “your option”. Just make sure that the correct weight is set on the binding system - if you are a skier. I had an unpleasant case when the ski did not come unfastened in a certain situation ... well, the main thing was that everything worked out, and this is not a small part of my fault, of course - ALWAYS double-check !!!
Due to the remoteness of the tracks, it is not possible to roll back the vacation to the fullest. For example, I love it like this - I arrived, we squeeze the hours of rolling to the maximum! From the opening of the lifts to their closing with one lunch break. And then .... I got up while I had breakfast at the hotel and got ready - this is not very long, then until I got to the place, until I took the equipment, until I bought a ski pass (each route has its own, and the price tag too), .. .. ROCKING BACK.... then I handed over the equipment until I got to the hotel.... and for some routes you also need to change several buses. And the city is beautiful - I want to see it and take a walk .... as a result, the whole vacation is like a driven dog with its tongue over its shoulder.
In general, if you are a winter sports maniac, Innsbruck is too difficult an option!!! This is not a classic ski resort!!!
But if you want to take a walk to breathe the cleanest mountain air, enjoy the culture and architecture of the Austrian "metropolis" 😝, taste authentic dishes, and plan to go to local excursions(of which there are many), and of course, dedicate a day / two ... several hours for a couple of slopes .... then welcome!!! This is a great option for all of the above concentrated in one great place!!!
