Last season was the first for Artybash, now the second season is in full swing. What has changed during this time?

The most Top news that our neighbors have started a chair lift. The lower station is 1.5 km from us. Lift with a length of 1300 meters. Now we have two lifts on the mountain: a rope tow and a double chairlift.

From the top of the chairlift there are now two tracks: left and right. The left name is an arc, the right one is a mane.

That is, a person, having risen on a chair lift to the top point, can go down to the bottom station chair lift, or you can go to our track, which is called comfort, and go down to the start of the drag lift, where there is also a rental office, a cafe and other infrastructure: snow tubing, an ice rink, dog sledding, snowmobiles. In general, the whole party takes place in the area of ​​​​our cafe.

Does the installation of a chair lift imply that the ski resort will be successful and develop?

The main reason is that the armchair was conceived there, because it will work all year round. You can’t climb on the yoke in summer, and from the top of the mountain there is a very good panorama, including a view of Lake Teletskoye.

There are a lot of people in the summer, so we plan to work year-round. Accordingly, in the summer the cafe will also work, perhaps we will organize something like a campsite so that we can put up tents, barbecue grills, and so on. The kiosk for selling souvenirs is already open, probably, and will remain for the summer.

Has the ski complex become more popular compared to last season?

It definitely is! We keep attendance statistics. This season, with the launch of the chair lift, the number of visits has almost doubled.

For just one new year holidays 1200 people rode the chair.

New slopes and a new lift attract vacationers. There is a good elevation and slope. If we have about 10-15, 20 degrees maximum, on our track. Here the slope is up to 35 degrees. That is, for professionals, the tracks are already very interesting.

Is it possible now to talk about some prospects for ski slopes, what are the plans for the development of infrastructure?

We are considering options for installing a gondola lift. There is a section where you can put a gondola lift and stretch it to the very top of Mount Kokuya up to a mark of 1385 m. Now you can get there only by snowmobile.

Yes, the gondola lift is an expensive pleasure. We cannot pull it off on our own, we are working to attract investors.

As for the tracks, with the existing two lifts, new tracks are unlikely to appear. Of course, the guys are engaged in freeride, we cannot forbid it, but there are no serviced tracks yet.

But if we put the gondola road to the very top of the mountain, the prospects open up very interesting. There you can immediately make a very long track for six kilometers.

But to be objective, these are plans for the next three to five years.

Last season, when launching the Artybash GLK, you said that Kokuya could compete with Zelena, and in terms of ski holidays Teletskoye Lake can compete with Sheregesh. Do you still think so?

I think that full-fledged competition still does not work. Sheregesh is now very promoted, we can say that this resort is already international level. We are just getting close to calling ourselves a resort.

But we can become a very serious addition to Sheregesh. We are quite capable of taking on 10-15 percent of the Sheregesh tourist flow. Our prices are more democratic and there are fewer queues. And in terms of the beauty of the surrounding landscape, we are in no way inferior, and maybe even superior.

Our infrastructure is still weak, but this is due to lack of funding. We need to set up hotels, there is a place for this, there is a place for good restaurant. When all this is done, it will be possible to talk about the resort, but for now, we have rather just a mountain with ski lifts and slopes.

Yes, we have a rental, we have a skating rink, we have instructors, but this is not enough. We understand this and we will work.
