Train tours to the Black Sea: cities, resorts, routes and attractions. What you need to know about train tours to the Black Sea. Tour operators.

  • Tours for May in Russia
  • Hot tours Worldwide

Back in the days Russian Empire was known healing power resorts Black Sea coast, "on the waters" the inhabitants of the most distant Russian provinces gathered, they were replaced by vacationers with trade union vouchers, then the rest on the Black Sea became truly massive. Every year, before the buds swell on the trees, vacationers stuff their suitcases with swimsuits, shorts and flip flops and go to improve their health and mood. However, not everything is so simple: you still need to get to the sea coast, and this is often not the closest way.

By rail, you can reach almost any Black Sea resort, only in some cases you will have to do a transplant.

Despite the development of air travel, now, like decades ago, many vacationers prefer rail tours. The demand for trains can hardly be overestimated: when planning a trip to the Black Sea coast, vacationers face the problem of acquiring railway tickets. On popular destinations they sell like hot cakes within hours of being on sale. By rail, you can get to almost any Black Sea resort, only in some cases you will have to make a transfer.

Resorts of the Krasnodar Territory

The railway network of the Krasnodar Territory covers all major resort towns and large towns. The railway tracks stretched along the entire coast of the Black Sea from Tuapse to Adler (the length of the main tracks is 2770 km); directly by train you can get to Anapa, Novorossiysk, Sochi and many other resorts. IN summer time passenger traffic increases by 3 times at once. If you plan to stay in Anapa or Sochi, expect that it will take you about a day and a half to get from Moscow one way, you can get to Gelendzhik somewhere in a little over a day.

Resorts of Abkhazia

Passing along the Black Sea coast Railway does not end in Adler, but goes further into Abkhazia, so getting to Abkhazian resorts is no more difficult than getting to Krasnodar ones.

After the recent restoration of tracks in the village of Veseloe between Russia and Abkhazia, a stable railway connection has been established, now several direct trains go there: train No. 305C Moscow - Sukhum, trains No. 579B Voronezh - Sukhum and No. 479A St. Petersburg - Sukhum. Customs and passport control passengers pass directly on the train (in Abkhazia - at the Tsandripsh station), it takes about 30 minutes for everything about everything, then the train enters the territory of Abkhazia. It should be noted that this is a rather slow train, it moves especially slowly across the Abkhazian land, so you will have a great opportunity to see surrounding nature from the windows of the train. Speaking in numbers, it will take you about 43 hours to travel from Moscow to Sukhum.

Stops on the territory of Abkhazia: Tsandripsh, Gagra, Gudauta, New Athos.

Throughout holiday season trains from Moscow to Abkhazia leave every day, since October their number has been reduced to one flight every few days.

If you failed to get tickets for the Sukhumi train, do not despair: take train tickets to Adler, from there, upon arrival by taxi, minibus or bus, you will reach the border. There, after crossing two posts, you will find yourself on the territory of Abkhazia, or rather on large area where is the bus stop fixed-route taxis and private traders. It opens the way to any resort Abkhazian city.

Let the car is not the fastest and not the safest way to travel, but it is the most free. Neither the train nor the plane will give such freedom of movement on a trip. , if only the roads allowed, and in the Krasnodar Territory everything is in order with them, so nothing prevented me from getting behind the wheel and moving out by car from Moscow towards Anapa to the Black Sea.

Why did we make such a strange choice, trip on in Krasnodar region, despite the fact that we do not praise him much? What is the purpose of the trip? Well, there are several reasons. First of all, I decided to study the market of tourist services provided on the Russian mainland. It just so happened that I am more familiar with Crimea and Abkhazia than with cities from my distant childhood: Anapa, Gelendzhik or Novorossiysk. Such a gap in personal experience needs to be corrected as soon as possible, and this is what I decided to do on the trip. In addition, I often argue that holidays abroad are cheaper than expensive domestic ones, analysis of prices and quality of recreation on the Black Sea I intend to study during the trip. To be honest, with every day of traveling by car along the seashore, I became more and more convinced of this.

Often seen on the road interesting people, with a bunch of interesting stories, some can be a source of inspiration, help find answers to questions or just unwind along the way. Water does not flow under a lying stone, but when making a trip in your car or, even more so, hitchhiking, you can see a lot.

During the journey by car Krasnodar Territory I wanted to see how more places to possibly find the right one for you. Many people dream of living by the sea, someone wants to move to the warmth, someone wants to be able to swim every day, someone is attracted by fruits and vegetables that grow without any problems. However, not everyone imagines this life, and before moving forever, it is better to study it a little from the inside.

The reasons for the trip are many, but the main ones are easy to see: the love of traveling on own car and curiosity are the main driving forces of this trip.

Description of the road from Moscow to Anapa by car

To be honest, the trip went a little wrong from the very beginning, which almost caused it to be canceled, fortunately, we realized it in time and decided to trust the case, but I'm getting ahead of myself.

The first troubles on a trip to Anapa by car

First we have been postponing our trip to the Black Sea for a long time, because the start was scheduled for June 2016, but a lot of time and nerves had to be spent on vacation for parents in Abkhazia.

Read about the trip of parents to Abkhazia in the summer of 2016, as well as about unpleasant events, in the following articles, if you are interested:

As a result, it was possible to relax only after the successful landing of the parents and again return to planning a trip by car to Anapa and further along the Black Sea coast. The plan, by the way, was terribly simple: take fellow travelers from Moscow and come to the resort, then move towards Abkhazia, studying along the way interesting resorts, landscapes, mountains and forests, sometimes making stops in the most pleasant places. It would seem that the ideal plan, and fellow travelers were found a couple of hours after I. But it was not there.

In less than a day, fellow travelers canceled the trip due to force majeure, and Nastya and I were the only passengers in the car to Anapa, which automatically made the trip unprofitable, and most importantly, boring.

About changeable fortune on a trip behind the wheel to Anapa

Fortunately, luck still smiled, and both empty seats in the car were filled just a few hours before the start of the trip to the Black Sea. Even the need to pick up a passenger in Khimki, consider the other end of Moscow, did not upset me much. So, right on schedule, we set out on our adventure.

Having picked up the passengers, we got on the highway on July 24 at 17:00, and no matter how the evil navigator, who had an obvious collusion with the Federal Road Agency, tried to take me to the paid M4, I stubbornly crossed Simferopolka, as far as the aisles of Tula to glorious city Efremova. Behind Last year M2 has been quite well restored, so the first 200 km of the way can be safely moved along it, bypassing a couple of paid sections of the Don. Yes, and the views are not bad on the way, so the loss of an hour on the connector road between M2 and M4 is not terrible. Although, who has what in priorities.

But in the future, saving is stupid, and not entirely true. It is easier to travel along the M4 along paid sections, as I was convinced during a spring trip to the Crimea by car. The most economical way is not to stand for hours on detours, but by paying a little money, slip through the first 1000 km to Rostov in ten hours.

By the way, the first time I got into the midnight shift change at the point of payment. Driving up to the last paid section on the road, I was a little upset, because literally a few minutes were missing before the start of the grace night period, and, lo and behold, it turns out just 5 minutes before midnight, the checkpoints stop working, before the onset of a new day. In general, I saved a whole ten, but I learned a new secret.

The road from Rostov to Anapa by car

Unfortunately, after Rostov, the situation changes dramatically for the worse. The roads are of course in fair condition, but traffic jams are upsetting. By the way, as a free advice, I can offer to guess the route, so that the section from Rostov to Krasnodar is overcome at night, then the probability of getting stuck in a traffic jam is minimal.

By the way, a new profession has appeared not far from the ill-fated crossing, which is always being repaired. By day, they live there locals offering on paid basis the route of a free traffic jam detour, although I did not become interested in the cost of services. Please note that this site may be of interest not only on the way to Anapa, but also on the ferry to the Crimea.

In the Krasnodar Territory, the police are much more careful about compliance with traffic rules, so for the safety of your wallet, it is better to avoid violations of them. Therefore, the speed of movement after Krasnodar drops even more, to low-speed trucks, and the ubiquitous traffic police patrols make sure that overtaking is carried out only in strictly designated areas.

The approach to Anapa itself was also difficult due to the dismantled bridge and the forced detour of an additional 30 km. A trifle, but after long night not very pleasant anymore. As a result, with all the stops for smoke breaks and snacks, gas stations and toilets the road from Moscow to Anapa by car took about 19 hours, thanks to traffic jams in Anapa itself, but that's another story.

About fellow travelers and BlaBlaCar service

I want to finish literally in a couple of words, rejoicing at the presence of the blah blah car service, mind you - this is not advertising, I just don’t know what could be taken from it. It's just that I have not the first experience of meeting him and again positive.

Of the obvious advantages of blah blah car, I can note the following:

So in our case, having lost some good guys, we acquired a company of others. The road was not noticeable and very exciting, as it should be with a lot of discoveries and destinies.

Of course, you can buy a plane ticket right now by simply using the search form at the bottom of the page, but in this case, half of the adventures are gone, but then who loves what.

What could be better than a holiday by the sea! Buying train tickets during the holiday season is incredible difficult task. In addition, the cost of travel costs a fairly significant amount. That is why many vacationers prefer to go to the coast on their own. How to get to the Black Sea by car? Which routes are the most comfortable for traveling? You will learn about this from our article.

By car to the Black Sea - a budget option travel for the whole family.

By car to the Black Sea: several convenient routes

It is most convenient to get to the territory of the Crimean peninsula through the Krasnodar Territory. But you need to remember that the roads passing directly through the city of Krasnodar are very often overloaded. And if you choose this route, then you need to be prepared for traffic jams and long traffic jams.

Comfortable enough in terms of traveling to black sea coast route - Rostov - Sochi. If you do not take into account the delays when traveling through Krasnodar, then you can get to the sea relatively quickly and comfortably. The road surface throughout this section of the path is good.

The second option of the route is through the city of Kropotkin. You can get to Sochi through the city of Kropotkin, following from Rostov. The road is quite comfortable, with the exception of the segment between the cities of Tikhoretsk and Kropotkin. This is a standard two-lane track with a length of 80 kilometers.

Given that there are quite a lot of cars moving in both directions, it will not be possible to develop a high speed of movement. The rest of the track meets modern standards: a smooth surface and several lanes in each direction

It is worth noting that the journey to the Black Sea through Rostov to Sochi, passing through Krasnodar, is somewhat shorter than through Kropotkin. But choosing the second option of the route, you can avoid long traffic jams and forced "rest" in the heat. It is also convenient to get to the sea coast through Kropotkin by car from Pyatigorsk and Armavir.

A trip by car to the coast along the route through Armavir - Maykop - Tuapse - Sochi will be convenient if travelers approach the Black Sea from Pyatigorsk, Armavir or Stavropol. The path will turn out to be a little shorter - by about 120 kilometers - but this may not affect the time spent on the road.

A big plus of this route is the ability to bypass many traffic jams that cannot be avoided when traveling through Krasnodar. A feature of the road is beautiful landscape behind the windows.

Where to go to the Black Sea by car

There are many places on the Black Sea coast where you can have a great rest. But the most popular traditionally are the following:

Sochi. The place is great for families with children. Since the city is located in the subtropical zone, it is warm here all year round.

· Anapa. The sun shines in the sky here almost 280 days a year. A unique mix of steppe, mountain and sea air, healing mud And mineral water– everything you need for a successful holiday is available in Anapa.

· Gelendzhik. The city blooms already in March, and the hottest months are July and August.

· Tuapse. The local sea is ideal for diving enthusiasts.

· Yalta. The sea here stays warm until the very end beach season. You can come to Yalta in September - October: the sea is still warm, but the sun is not so hot anymore.

Evpatoria. You can go on vacation here in the spring. Evpatoria is simply created for children: the sea here is shallow and clean.

Theodosius. Beautiful resort town with its leisurely life, it is perfect for a relaxing family vacation. There are many beautiful places around the city.

These were big cities, but vacations can also be spent in young resorts. For example, on such as Beregovoe, Peschanoe or Nikolaevka, located near Simferopol.
