Crimea is just one continuous resort or one continuous attraction! There really is something to do in Crimea! Here you have pure beach and water entertainment, here and beautiful mountains, as well as a lot of cultural and historical attractions.

Now, after Crimea became part of Russia, it has become perhaps the most popular tourist destination among Russians. And to visit here is equally great both in summer and in winter. From June to September, Crimea is primarily Black Sea resort. In other months, in the absence of summer heat, it is very cool to visit local historical, cultural and natural attractions, which are very numerous in Crimea!

3. Golden ring Russia.

This is the name of a tour of several ancient cities of Russia, where monuments of culture and history have been well preserved to this day. From 8 to 25 cities belong to the Golden Ring, but some cities on this list are controversial. Traditionally, the cities of the Golden Ring of Russia are: Sergiev Posad, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rostov the Great, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Ivanovo, Suzdal and Vladimir. During such a tour, they usually visit many cultural and historical buildings of religious purpose: temples, churches, cathedrals, monasteries. So, of course, this is not for everybody, but certainly a deeper acquaintance with the history of one's country cannot but arouse interest. Moreover, all these architectural monuments very beautiful and majestic!

As a rule, they go on such a tour by buying an excursion, but it is quite possible to get by with your own car. It will even be more interesting due to freedom of movement.

4. Moscow.

The capital of Russia has always been a very popular city among tourists from all over the world, and in particular among our compatriots from all over the country. And this is not surprising. In a metropolis with over 800 years of history, there really is a lot to see and do! And not only in terms of some cultural or historical sights. Now Moscow is very popular for shopping, as well as all kinds of entertainment.

Rest in a huge city is, of course, an amateur. For example, I like to be closer to nature. However, many travelers like to conquer the “stone jungle” and in this regard, Moscow is a very interesting place! It won't be boring here!

5 St. Petersburg.

No wonder St. Petersburg is called the cultural capital of Russia. Nowhere else in Russia are there so many museums, art galleries, architectural monuments, sculptures and other historical and cultural attractions. And it's all in the same city.

It will probably be superfluous to try to describe in a few sentences everything that St. Petersburg is known for all over the world. It is better to come here and see everything on your own.

6. Baikal.

Baikal is the deepest lake in the world! It is believed that this is a nascent ocean. This lake has its own unique nature and purity of water. Baikal is surrounded on all sides mountain ranges and hills. There are 27 islands on Baikal. 20% of the world's fresh lake water is Baikal, and in terms of volume of water it surpasses all the Great American Lakes combined! In terms of area, Baikal is approximately equal to Belgium or the Netherlands.

Lake Baikal is a very popular tourist destination for travelers from all over the world. Once you see the photos of Baikal at least once, you will forever burn with the desire to visit this lake. 7. Karelia.

Every year traveling around Karelia becomes more and more popular. Karelia is famous for its amazing natural beauties. Great amount the most beautiful lakes, rivers, waterfalls and extensive forests, among which you can find many places untouched by man. It is the beauty of nature that attracts travelers from all over Russia, and from all over the world, to Karelia. The local places are popular with backpackers, but in Karelia there is also a very developed more organized vacation in modern hotels and local tour firms offer excursions on the most popular routes.

8. Kamchatka.

All sights of Kamchatka are connected with nature. And above all, these are numerous volcanoes, geysers and hot springs. rich Kamchatka Krai on numerous lakes, rivers with the purest water and mountains.

Fans of mountaineering, skiing and rafting will like Kamchatka, i.e., first of all, those who prefer leisure Outdoors. The only problem is the transport accessibility of this region of Russia. Since Kamchatka is a peninsula and, moreover, located very far from the European part of the country, it is not easy for many tourists to get here. 9. Gorny Altai.

Altai is very actively developing as one of the centers of tourism in Russia. Every year there are about 1 million tourists from all over the world. Very popular in Altai mountain tourism, rafting, river rafting, cave visits, hunting, fishing, as well as various horseback riding and hiking, quad biking, biking, snowmobiling or jeeping.

Especially popular with travelers are beautiful lakes and waterfalls in Altai, as well as Mount Belukha - the most high point throughout Siberia!

There are quite a lot in Altai tourist bases, sanatoriums and hotels of various levels, so not only active travelers who prefer extreme tourism will like it here, but also those who like a more relaxed measured rest Outdoors.

10. The Volga River.

Here are the main tourist destinations in Russia in my opinion. It turned out a sort of TOP-10 most the best places for travel in Russia. But this is certainly not the whole list.
