Modern model theme parks also first appeared in Europe, although Walt Disney is usually considered its creator. They really flourish in the USA and then spread all over the world.

1. Theme parks in France

"Disneyland" is without a doubt the most beautiful theme park in France, located in the metropolitan suburbs. Huge Dreamland Disney where Magic world children's fantasies turns into reality, and from this transformation the "living" fairy tale becomes even more attractive. Exciting rides, fairy-tale characters, colorful performances - there is just nothing here: here is the Castle of the Sleeping Beauty, here is the island of Robinson Crusoe, and there is Aladdin's Palace. paddle steamer and the prairies of the Wild West will also make a vivid impression on children.

"Futuroscope" - a virtual amusement park in the town of Poitiers. Fantastic pavilions made of glass and steel create an atmosphere of a distant mysterious future. Buildings look beautiful and intriguing: for example, in the form of a huge drop of water. For connoisseurs of multimedia technologies and residents of the virtual world, "Futuroscope" will cause genuine delight. However, even small children will not feel like strangers here. Children's attractions with bright visual effects "Musical House", "Bird's Labyrinth" and "Sympho" are not only simple and interesting, but also memorable.

In the most general sense, this island of the XXI century. is a complex of cinema halls, which with the help of a variety of synchronous effects - stereo image and sound, seat movements, a little irrigation with water - create a complete sense of the reality of what is happening. Each cinema hall has its own set of special effects.

Especially for children there are attractions: "Musical House", "Bird's Labyrinth", "Sympho". Here they can learn by watching various educational films and play, remaining the authors of their creativity, and not just spectators. In addition to the cinema, the park has unusual cable cars, an observation tower, ponds, fountains, and computer games.

In the evenings, the Futuroscope water stadium hosts a musical performance called Laser Visions over the Lake, which can make an unforgettable impression on even the most sophisticated viewer: laser beams are projected onto a huge screen formed from millions of tiny water droplets sprayed by fountains; the three-dimensional image has a depth of several meters, thanks to which the images literally come to life, and the giant, multi-meter figures of mulatto dancers, beautiful girls in brilliant clothes replace each other to the rhythm of incendiary music.

The varied grounds of the giant amusement park "Puy du Fou" near Nantes recreate historical eras. Business card french park entertainment "Puy du Fou" - medieval scenery and endless dramatizations of historical scenes from gladiator battles to Roman parades and chariot races. Here you can see with your own eyes the Viking invasion of French villages, knightly duels and peaceful pastoral pictures from the life of Provencal peasants. Medieval breeds of domestic animals were specially bred for the fields and pastures of the park.

Birds of prey fly through the park, and Renaissance rose gardens and fragrant gardens have been recreated in its separate corners.

The PUI DU FOU "historical show" park is entirely dedicated to the history of France from antiquity to the beginning of the 20th century. This is the largest open-air stage in Europe.

As soon as you step into its territory, you are transported back along the time spiral. Whole centuries replace each other before your eyes.

One of the main attractions of the park is the huge (115 meters long) Colosseum. Here you will enjoy the whole gamut of sensations that you can get from watching the Ancient Games: war chariot races, battles of brave gladiators, parades of Roman soldiers full of splendor and splendor - after 2000 years, the park will make you feel like a part of the great Roman Empire.

An amazing ensemble of air, water and earth gives the amusement park PUI DU FU. The air is a whole kingdom of eagles and other birds of prey. You will be able to see the Falcon performance, famous throughout Europe. The water theater will delight your eyes with a real ballet of thousands of computer-controlled water jets. On earth, a real paradise awaits you: Renaissance rose gardens, a flowering Plain, unique gardens.

Located north of Paris, the Asterix amusement park is based on the popularity of famous French cartoons and comics about the Romans and French ancestors - the Gauls. Passing from attraction to attraction, visitors travel through Gallic history - from the heyday of the Roman Empire, passing Caesar's carousel and Zeus' thunderbolt, you can raft on Greek boats on the Alys River. And ahead is the Lerna Hydra, the Poseidon Dolphinarium, musketeer fights and much more. In addition, vacationers are waiting for spectacular spectacles, incredible cinemas and endless French humor.

Asterix quickly gained wide popularity not only due to the image of his favorite heroes, but also largely due to the successful transmission of the spirit of comics: incredible love of life, sparkling humor, passion for drinking and the optimism of the Gauls, whom Caesar's legions could not conquer, give a cheerful and festive mood for a long time .

2. Theme parks in Germany

Europa Park is the most international park in the world. It's kind of like a little Europe. Once here, you can “visit” several European countries at once: Great Britain, Germany, France, Austria, Russia, Holland, Switzerland, the Scandinavian states, visit the “Chocolate Land”, “Viking Country”, the unique “Palace Park” ...

“All Europe” is located on an area of 65 hectares and is divided into 11 thematic parts. Each country in the park, like its original progenitor, has its own characteristics.

For Beautiful Italy, these are Baroque palaces and the Venetian Carnival; for Spain - flamenco shows and knightly tournaments, in the Seventh Heaven in France in the center there is a huge silver sphere, Eurosat starts from here, taking passengers on a rapid flight ...

Unforgettable experiences can be obtained in the Swiss quarter, driving through downhill"Matterhorn Lightning" and "Swiss Bobsleigh".

Rafting in Scandinavia's "Norwegian Fjords" sees tourists rush through seething waterfalls and treacherous streams.

Sunflowers are blooming in the Russian village, bells are ringing, guys in undershirts are walking around, craftsmen are burning pots, painting icons, blowing fabulous flowers out of glass, here you can go flying on a Kamchatka Airline flight simulator or buy Baba Yaga in the Babushka store.

"Legoland" - an amusement park of the famous children's construction company Lego opened in Germany recently and is located in a wooded area between Munich and Stuttgart. Entertainment is aimed at children from 2 to 12 years old. In addition to attractions, special interactive educational games have been developed for kids, as well as various shows and performances. There are 50 million cubes prepared in the park, from which children, following their imagination, can build giant fantastic figures.

Here you can see small copies of the sights of such cities as Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Venice, the Bavarian Neuschwanstein castle and much more. With 50 million LEGO bricks, kids can build animals, fantasy characters, castles, whatever their heart desires.

Park "Fantasy Land" - one of the oldest in Europe, is located in western Germany near Cologne. Park visitors will trip around the world according to the most mysterious corners planets. The most unforgettable entertainment is the space show "Galaxy". In a dynamic flight simulation, visitors take a journey through the Milky Way. Popular rides include the Thrilling Hollywood River Cruise, the Dizzying Phantom Show, the Dead Loop, the Viking Ship, the Kodak Tower, the Berlin Carousel, and more.

The amusement park "Hansa" - a recognized center for thrill-seekers, is located in the town of Lübeck on the Baltic Sea. Attractions "Flying Shark", "Petrel" and "Superfall" will be mastered only by the most fearless. Only in this park, two super-impressive attractions are "woven" into each other, which adds adrenaline to the blood of brave visitors. However, everything is not so scary, in the park there is where to take a walk with the kids. On the territory of "Hans" rail cars drive.

This is one of the most beautiful amusement parks in the world.

The park consists of 11 different themed areas. More than 30 attractions from April to September are waiting for their brave guests.

Movie Park is one of the best movie parks in the world.

The park is divided into 5 thematic zones related to films. In each zone you will find never-before-seen attractions that will take your breath away. The park offers entertainment for children of all ages as well as adults.

Every year the park presents new shows and performances. Crazy racing with Batman and flying with Superman, as well as the popular hardships of the Police Academy, Roger Rabbit and Mickey Mouse and many others are waiting for you.

Along with breathtaking, fast-paced rides, the park offers water activities. Hollywood Boulevard is home to all sorts of restaurants and

Shops that offer you a variety of Hollywood-style goods.

The motto of the park: All day at the cinema, but not as a spectator, but as an actor!

"Autostadt" - real city on the territory of the Volkswagen concern, in which all pavilions, entertainment and attractions are dedicated to cars. The brightness of the design, green parks and futuristic architecture stagger the imagination. Tours are organized here to workshop 54, where Golf cars are assembled. Young children love to explore the glass four-level engine from the inside. For lovers of racing, a go-kart track and a hall with computer games have been built.

The "Tower of Time" exhibits all the models of the concern that have any historical significance. Here you can see the pre-war Beetle convertible from 1938 in memory of official opening plant, NSU with a rotary engine and other vehicles of the concern. Along with them, cars from other companies are presented: Rover Mini, Ford T, Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz 1959. In addition to the multi-storey museum, pavilions of various brands are located throughout the Autostadt. Each building is made in its own unique style, emphasizing the character of the brand.

The first pavilion, perhaps the most modest, belongs to the Skoda brand. Entering it, you do not immediately realize what relation the fairy-tale characters have to the car. But gradually you get imbued with the friendly world of the Czech fairy tale, and by the time you approach the car, and this is the new Skoda Superb, it’s a holiday in your soul. Apparently, it is implied that this brand should be perceived as a miracle, no more, no less.

After the fabulous pavilion, Lamborghini's black cube is like a contrast shower. It is believed that the cube is a symbol of strength and pure emotions. The pavilion looks like it fell from the sky right into this park, on the shore of the lake - it is such an alien element. However, apparently the authors achieved this. An orange Diablo VT gleams inside the cube, barred from visitors. The music is as original as the building itself: the heartbeat turns into the roar of the engine, gradually reaching maximum speed. The effect is added by natural elements - fire, thunderstorm, volcanic eruption, lightning. This is the inner world of Diablo VT, which the buyer receives with the car. Try this world!

The aristocratic Bentley pavilion evokes thoughts of a druid dungeon. This is not a pavilion at all, but rather a bunker in a hill covered with English lawn. There is also a traditional British oak. The visible part of the bunker is made of green granite, which, according to the creators, is a symbol of value and timeless elegance. The entrance to the bunker is also unusual - a spiral path that goes deep into the earth. As you descend it, you move around the crankshaft of a modern 16-valve engine spinning in a halo of laser illumination. At the very bottom, the world of Bentley opens up to the visitor. You can see, touch, feel the materials that a real English limousine is made of: leather, natural wood and no plastic. Here, on the podium, fixed at an angle of almost 90 degrees, is the latest model of this company, a kind of sports monster, which, nevertheless, has retained the elegance and comfort of a luxury limousine.

Pavilion Seat. It's like jumping in time and space. Seat is Spain, castanets, siesta and bullfighting. In the center of the exposition is the ultra-modern Salsa concept, right there is a clock going backwards and a 360-degree screen.

Next is the Audi pavilion. The route of visitors goes from the first floor to the second and then back to the first. First, you enter the workshop of a sculptor who is working on a scale model. Below are the latest developments of the company. From an idea to its implementation - that's what could be the motto of this pavilion. The VW pavilion is not teeming with cars and technology. In essence, this is a cinema, but not a simple one, but the world's first spherical amphitheater. The visual effect is fantastic.

Particularly curious people have the opportunity to see the plant itself and its heart - workshop 54, where Golf cars are assembled. This is an almost completely robotic complex. Welding, assembly of the black bodywork, painting and some of the final assembly are carried out by robots. Those who wish can take the opportunity to ride around the plant on a road train with huge panoramic windows and sliding doors on both sides for a better view.

Separately, the creators of the city-museum thought about children. The mass of attractions is intended primarily for them. The most fun of them all is the glass engine, inside of which children can walk through four levels. There is also a pedal kart track and many interactive computer games. Here, on the territory of the Autostadt, you can buy a souvenir in the style of your car: a stylish Audi baseball cap, a Lamborghini jacket, a mini-fan made of bright plastic in the Bentley style and other interesting things.

5. The role of theme parks in the development of international tourism

The popularity of theme parks as recreational destinations will increase every year. The European entertainment market is quite developed. The history of amusement parks dates back to the time of medieval Europe, where the Pleasure Gardens opened in the spring on the outskirts of the main cities. The European market is divided into two types of parks, those that have developed over the years and those that have been specifically conceived and built as theme parks. Entertainment has now become a global industry with huge, rapidly growing revenues. Theme parks occupy a special place in this industry. The idea of theme parks originated in Europe at the end of the 19th century. At the World Exhibition in Brussels, for the first time, an amusement corner appeared (from the French. Attraction - “attraction”) - carousels, a Ferris wheel. A little later, the world's first attraction on a literary basis appeared in Paris - "From a Cannon to the Moon." Visitors climbed one by one into the cramped "spacecraft", they were enveloped in smoke, and then a lunar landscape appeared behind the porthole. Together with the carousels located in the neighborhood, it became known as the Luna Park. The modern embodiment of the theme park idea is a park created in the Netherlands in 1952 based on European fairy tales. Entertainment centers organized in the form of a theme park are developing in the USA, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, China, and Australia. The popularity of theme parks is growing. More than 90 million people visit US parks annually, and revenues reach nearly $3 billion. European theme parks receive about 60 million guests a year (revenues - 1.8 billion dollars). During the year, European Disneyland receives visitors 2 times more than the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. If earlier, tourism products were mainly non-specialized, with the same characteristics, intended for mass tourism, now and in the future, the tourism product should not only be diversified, but also correspond to the development trend of tourism demand, which is aimed at short multiple stays of travelers during of the year. To this end, many countries are creating new concepts to attract tourists. Here, a significant role is played by the use of theme parks as a tourist product of domestic and international tourism. For example, each of the existing Disneyland parks in the world (in the states of California and Florida in the USA, in Japan and France) receives 1 million people in a short period of time. guests per year. This number of guests represents 10% of the total US international tourist flow. The nature of the theme park business is directly related to the income and leisure time of the average person. Consequently, we see that most theme parks grow very rapidly during the booming economy as incomes and needs increase. Among the main secrets of the success of theme parks, one should highlight the use of high technology: computer systems for controlling light and sound and cartoon effects, thanks to which visitors experience thrills and get especially vivid impressions.

Through the systematic renewal of attractions and entertainment programs, theme parks form a permanent clientele and support large tourist flows.

Conclusion

Entertainment has now become a global industry with huge, rapidly growing revenues. Theme parks occupy a special place in this industry. If earlier tourism products were mostly non-specialized, now and in the future the tourism product should correspond to the development trend of tourism demand. To this end, many countries are creating new concepts to attract tourists. Here, a significant role is played by the use of theme parks as a tourist product of domestic and international tourism.

The data that European Disneyland receives twice as many visitors per year than the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower speak for themselves, which means that the role of theme parks in the development of international tourism is obvious.

    Introduction

As a rule, entertainment is inherent in any tourist trip. People go on a journey for new unforgettable impressions, thrills and positive emotions.

Leisure combined with entertainment prevails among other travel purposes and forms the most massive tourist flows in the world. They originate in the countries of Europe, North America, the Asia-Pacific region and at the same time gravitate towards the same regions.

Theme parks occupy a special place in the global entertainment industry. Recently, they have seriously competed with traditional destinations with a large number of historical and cultural attractions.

The idea of theme parks originated in Europe and was implemented in the form of pleasure parks that existed in many European capitals in the late 19th century. The modern model of theme parks also first appeared in Europe, although Walt Disney is usually credited with its originator. They really flourish in the USA and then spread all over the world.

    1. Theme parks in France

"Disneyland" is without a doubt the most beautiful theme park in France, located in the metropolitan suburbs. A huge fairy-tale land of Disney, where the magical world of children's fantasies turns into reality, and from this transformation the "live" fairy tale becomes even more attractive. Exciting rides, fairy-tale characters, colorful performances - there is just nothing here: here is the Castle of the Sleeping Beauty, here is the island of Robinson Crusoe, and there is Aladdin's Palace. The paddle steamer and the prairies of the Wild West will also impress children.

Futuroscope is a virtual amusement park in the town of Poitiers.

In the most general sense, this island of the XXI century. is a complex of cinema halls, which, with the help of a variety of synchronous effects - stereo image and sound, chair movements, a little irrigation with water - create a complete sense of the reality of what is happening.

The hallmark of the French amusement park Puy du Fou is medieval scenery and endless dramatizations of historical scenes from gladiator battles to Roman parades and chariot races.

Unforgettable experiences can be obtained in the Swiss quarter, riding on the downhill slopes "Lightning Matterhorn" and "Swiss Bobsleigh".

Park "Fantasy Land" - one of the oldest in Europe, located in western Germany near Cologne. Visitors to the park will make a round-the-world trip to the most mysterious corners of the planet.

The amusement park "Hansa" is a recognized center for thrill-seekers, located in the town of Lübeck on the Baltic Sea.

Autostadt is a real city on the territory of the Volkswagen concern, in which all pavilions, entertainment and attractions are dedicated to cars.

Here you can see the pre-war Beetle convertible produced in 1938 in memory of the official opening of the plant, NSU with a rotary engine and other cars of the concern.

    3. Theme parks in Spain

Port Aventura Park can become the most vivid childhood memory of Spain for many years to come. The park is located on the Mediterranean coast, near the city of Salou in the Costa Dorada resort. Children and their parents will be happy to spend the whole day on numerous attractions and slides with different thrills. For the little ones, a puppet theater is open in the park. The territory of "Aventura" is divided into continents and countries. Having fun, visitors move from Australia to India, from South America to North. Moreover, in accordance with the country, everything changes: from vegetation and architecture to the costumes of employees and menus in cafes.

Lush vegetation, noisy waterfalls and calm waves of lakes - this is Polynesia.

The Great Chinese Empire brought to PortAventura the Imperial Theatre, the Ying Zchou Temple with performances, acrobatic performances and magic tricks, as well as the famous Chinese Wall, which hides the most impressive attraction of the park - Dragon Khan (roller coaster).

Next is Mexico. After traditional Chinese cuisine in a Mexican cantina, you can taste spicy dishes while listening to the wonderful "mariachis" singing. Finally, the Wild West. Old Penitense is like a breath of water from the deserts and canyons of Arizona. Here is Tom Sawyer's school, next to the gold-diggers' cemetery, the city jail and the gallows, a saloon with strolling cowboys and cheerful girls. In this zone, the most famous attraction is "Stampida".

You can move around the park on a real steam locomotive, on a Chinese junk or on foot. Both the locomotive and the junk stop at every part of the park.

Night Port Aventura - during this excursion, in addition to all the above-mentioned attractions, you will see one more thing: in the Mediterranean zone at night they show a magnificent performance in which music, light, fire and water play the main roles.

The theme park "Terra Mitica" ("Land of Myths") is located in Valencia, in the resort of Benidorm. The park is divided into five Mediterranean zones: Egypt, Greece, Rome, Iberia and the Islands. Walking through the park, you can become a participant in crossbow shooting, feel like a sea traveler and watch eagles hunt. "Terra Mitica" is not only interesting, but also very informative for young visitors. Moreover, performances are staged in the park that saturate the atmosphere with the specific spirit of the Mediterranean countries.

In the middle of the park there is a large lake, which symbolizes the Mediterranean Sea. It can be crossed by Berber xebecs, passenger schooners and merchant ships. These ships, which demonstrate how maritime craft have evolved in the Mediterranean, simultaneously take visitors to any of the park's five zones.

Zone 1. Egypt. Land of the pharaohs. In this zone, visitors can see with their own eyes the thousand-year history of ancient Egypt. They will visit inside the pyramid, visit the magnificent palace of Queen Cleopatra, walk in the port of Alexandria, shop in a store that looks exactly like an Egyptian palace, dine in a temple, walk through the bazaars and read ancient hieroglyphs.

Zone 2. Greece. Abode of the Gods. Where else, if not in "Terra Mitica", you can get to the Agora in Athens, take part in the ancient Olympics or get lost in the Labyrinth ... Ancient Greek buildings, sculptures, oleanders, pines and laurels create the illusion of being on the land of ancient Hellas.

Zone 3. Rome. Border. This zone is for the most courageous, because the atmosphere of a military way of life is recreated here. On the border of the Romans with the barbarians, battles are in full swing and the most impressive attractions are located.

Zone 4. Iberia. Sultry shores. The life of a small Christian town (XVII-XVIII centuries), located near Valencia, is recreated here. The seaport is full of sailors and fishermen. But there are also many dangers in this zone, because there are many Arab settlements nearby. Between Christians and Muslims, desperate battles constantly flare up ...

Zone 5. Islands. Big Adventure. In the middle of the lake in the center of the park is an island, the events on which unfold based on the legendary voyage of Odysseus.

The Magic Island Park in Seville also gives visitors the opportunity not only to have fun on the rides, but also to get acquainted with the history, culture and art of various peoples. The park has a lot of music of different styles. Particular attention of visitors is attracted by a modern planetarium, laser shows and a monorail along the territory of the "Island".

Warner Bros. Film Company Park in Madrid lives up to its name and immerses visitors in the world of cinema. The vast territory is divided into cinematic and cartoon parks: Hollywood Boulevard, Cartoon Village, Old West Territory, DC Super Heroes World. Extreme attractions, where you can feel both free flight from a height of 25 meters, and driving at breakneck speed, are successfully combined with film sets, picturesque artificial landscapes and the atmosphere of Hollywood.

The Aquarium in Barcelona is a breathtaking sight for visitors of all ages. In addition to numerous aquariums with various marine life, "Aquarium" includes a huge oceanarium with four thousand species of fish. Two underwater tunnels with moving walkways provide an opportunity to experience the power and diversity of life in the ocean.

    4. Theme parks in Italy

Aquafan Park is located in Riccione and is replete with water rides and discos for adults and children. This is the largest water park in Europe. It includes five heated pools with artificial ocean waves, water slides, a solarium, pools with hydromassage, picnic areas. The park is not only entertaining, but also sports, on its territory there are grounds for beach volleyball, football, basketball and roller skating.

Beach Village Park is in the same area, slightly inferior to Aquafan in size, but located on the beach. In addition to splashing on the usual slides and in the pools, there is an opportunity to practice health aerobics, water gymnastics and other beach sports. In the park you can ride jet skis, surfers and catamarans. For small children games are organized in children's pools and a mini-club with nannies.

Mirabilandia Park is located near Rimini and Riccione and is a huge area covered with flowering greenery. Dozens of attractions hide in pleasant shade, including a roller coaster, a circus and a 3D cinema. There you can also see performances of stuntmen in cars and ballet on ice.

The theme park "Italy in Miniature" near Rimini presents many Italian art pieces reproduced in 1:25 scale. Miniature buildings are surrounded by real flowers and trees. You can walk endlessly in little Italy. On the miniature canals of Venice, real gondoliers ride visitors on gondolas. And for tired visitors, a monorail road has been laid through the territory. Children do not get bored, there are many attractions and entertainment programs for them.

The Fiabilandia park is full of wonders. It is located in Rimini, covered with greenery and combines a variety of vibrant areas: from the Wild West to the town in which Pinocchio lives, aka Pinocchio. Fairy tales do not end there, at any moment Superman can fly past you, and Merlin the wizard will conjure miracles nearby. For children there is a dance floor with a disco "Kakkadisko", where adults are not allowed to enter.

The amusement park is located in northern Italy, on the shores of Lake Garda - the largest and one of the most beautiful in the country. This is one of the best parks of this type, with a huge number of attractions for both children and adults. All entertainment here is divided into 4 zones according to themes and age categories of visitors and is appropriately marked on the free map issued with the entrance ticket.

For the little ones (the "red" zone), the tree in which the dragon Prezemolo lives, 16 fantasy attractions, the colorful area of fairy-tale characters "Kingdom", the Transgardian Express sightseeing cruises and the Panoramic Tour cable car, the "Peter Pan" pavilions, " Superbaby", "Alice in Wonderland", "Aladdin's Cave", "Mary Poppins", "Games Airea", "Video Games", as well as all kinds of trolleys, boats, airplanes, etc.

For older children ("green" and "blue" zones), various thematic performances of Aventura are intended - the jungle zone "Tunga", the educational historical tour "Valley of the Kings", the attractions "Corsairs", "Country Shows" and "Volcanoes", as well as many different water entertainment complexes.

The most extreme adventures begin in the "orange" zone "Adrenaline" - there are all kinds of "roller coasters" and carousels, "Magic House" with a complex mechanism for moving the interior, the Blue Tornado simulator, various "bungee" and racing tracks for the most exotic vehicles - in general, everything that an adult can like. In the park you can find a huge number of restaurants and eateries, shops and slot machine halls, there is a private dolphinarium and a theater platform, discos and music shows. And all this is connected together by a miniature railway and an overhead cable car with original "standing" cabins.
