It can almost always be found on those shores where ancient volcanic rocks and hardened lava are present. On the beach there are many sun loungers and umbrellas (for a fee, from 5 to 7 euros). Moreover, as with any Greek beach, here you can sit in any free part of the coast on your towel.

Both the sea and the beach area are very clean - the beach annually receives the Blue Flag as environmentally friendly and safe. In the southern part of the beach is high rock from where the brave men jump into the water.

When there are no waves sea ​​water it is absolutely transparent, and through it you can see the practically completely devoid of life seabed. There is no lush marine vegetation, no fish or jellyfish here - only black sand, pebbles and slabs. It happens that in very calm weather early in the morning you can see small flocks of fish here, but otherwise it is only crystal pure water and dark volcanic rock.

How to get to Kamari Beach

The village of Kamari and the beach of the same name are located in the southeast of Santorini. The distance from Fira to Kamari is about 8 kilometers - by car or motorcycle it can be overcome in just 10 minutes, while lovers hiking take at least one and a half hours. From Santorini Airport to the village of Kamari about 3 kilometers, so the planes land almost over the very beach.

Santorini - absolutely small island, and many distances here can be overcome even on foot. Kamari is so famous that, for example, you can ask one of the locals where the black sand beach is located and they will definitely tell you several ways to get there.
