Hello to all travelers!

The sunniest resort in Crimea is the small village of Miskhor. It is located on the southern coast of Crimea between the same small villages of Koreiz and Gaspra (hence the name "Miskhor" - "middle village"), 20 kilometers from Yalta. Moreover, in administrative terms, it is not even a separate village and is part of the Koreiz village. In general, on the southern coast of Crimea, many settlements are very close to each other and it is often not at all clear where one ends and another village or even a city begins. Often these villages and small towns called simply "Big Yalta".

During our car travel in the Crimea, we traveled the entire southern coast. At first we planned to stay in Alupka, but for some reason we didn’t really like this town. But Miskhor, on the contrary, really liked it. Although in fact it was very difficult to make the right impression, since in all the settlements of the South Coast there is one feature - everything is behind a fence there and it is very difficult to see anything from the road. To see the embankment, the beach, and everything else too, you need to look for a passage through the fence, which is not so easy to find! Often everything is tightly fenced by the territories of hotels and resorts.

In Miskhor, as well as throughout the South Coast, there is just a huge number of attractions like natural origin and made by human hands. And the first sight we saw was Mount Koshka, which we passed on the way to Miskhor.

Near the path leading to the top of the mountain, there is a very convenient observation deck:

It offers an excellent view of the southern coast of Crimea:

As you can see in the photo, Miskhor and its environs are really the most sunny places in the Crimea Ironically, all the two days that we were in Miskhor, it was constantly raining. It became sunny only on the third day, when we were about to leave.

Not far from the top of the trail. A fairly comfortable path leads to it:

Top of Mount Koshka:

By the way, this mountain is called “Kosh-Kaya”. From Turkic it is translated as "steam rock". And in its name it has nothing to do with cats. Yes and appearance doesn't look like it either.

Once this mountain was part of a large mountain range, dividing the southern coast into two parts, but now, due to tectonic processes, Mount Kosh-Kaya has separated and gradually began to go into the sea. This process is still going on.

View from the top of the mountain to the village of Simeiz:

winding roads south coast Crimea:

After admiring the beauty of the southern coast of Crimea from a height and having time to get wet in the rain, we set off further.

In Miskhor itself, despite its small size, there is also something to see!

Only when we drove into the village and decided to stay there, we first of all decided to find a place to live. Our search lasted a full 10 seconds! Housing found us itself Or rather, a realtor found us, who offers apartments, rooms and houses for every taste and budget. We chose separate apartments as a mini-hotel 150 meters from the sea for 1000 rubles per day. There were cheaper and more expensive options. It was possible to save money and walk along the coast on our own in search of housing without intermediaries, as we did in. But since we only needed a rental for a couple of days, we decided not to bother and not waste time. By the way, without a realtor, the price would be 800 rubles per day.

View from the window of our apartments:

It is worth mentioning that many owners of apartments and houses on the southern coast of Crimea do not rent accommodation to tourists with small children, as well as for a short period of less than 3 days. And if you can still find any options before June and September, then in the midst of tourist season homeowners are becoming less and less accommodating, and prices are higher! Keep this in mind!

On the embankment of the village of Miskhor in the Crimea:

Deserted beach in Miskhor at the end of May. The rain is to blame and the temperature is only +18.

In fact, such bad weather is very rare for these places at this time. locals we were told that nothing like this had ever happened here even in the middle of spring, not to mention last days May!

The main attractions of Miskhor are famous sculpture"Mermaid", the fountain "Girl Arza and the robber Ali Baba" and of course Miskhor Park.

"Mermaid" in general can be called the hallmark of Miskhor and even the entire southern coast! Together with the fountain, the sculpture reminds us of a very sad legend. I'll try to summarize it briefly...

The beautiful Arza was kidnapped by the old Turkish robber Ali Baba and sold her to the harem. In Turkish captivity, Arza gave birth to a boy, and exactly one year after her abduction, she threw herself with her son from the tower of the Sultan's palace into the waters of the Bosphorus. Since then, once a year, on the day of her abduction, the fountain begins to flow more strongly, and a mermaid appears from the water with a baby in her arms. She comes to the fountain, drinks water from it, sits on the shore, and then disappears into the sea again until the next year. Such is the story.

The fountain, which captures the moment of the abduction of Arza Ali Baba:

And here is the famous Mermaid herself:

Another remarkable place in Miskhor - this is Miskhor Park:

Miskhor Park is recognized as a monument of gardening art. The park has over 200 years of history! IN different times it belonged to noble Russian nobles.

It is very pleasant to walk in the park in the evenings, admiring more than 100 varieties of exotic trees and shrubs!

The most beautiful part of the park is the palm alley, founded by Prince Naryshkin:

If we make a general conclusion, then despite the fact that we were not very lucky with the weather, we really liked Miskhor. The places here are really amazingly beautiful, and it is also convenient to visit many places from Miskhor. attractions South Coast.

But in fairness, it is worth noting some negative points. For tourists with children, it is worth remembering some restrictions on rental housing, which I have already mentioned above, as well as the fact that the beach in Miskhor is pebbly, and there are a lot of stones in the water. In some places there are half-abandoned construction sites. Apparently these are future hotels. I hope that they will be completed soon. In my purely personal opinion, if you are not traveling by car, then in 3-4 days you will see all the nearest sights and explore the whole Miskhor up and down. The rest of the time will only lie on the beach and drink beer in local bars. Therefore, it is better not to stay in Miskhor for a long time and go further to explore the beauties of the Crimea!

See you on the pages of Sergey Dyakov's travel blog. Bye!

Rest in the village of Miskhor (Crimea) is affordable private sector, boarding houses with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Prices in 2019 are humane, for sure those who want to find an alternative to more expensive and promoted resorts will come here. There are no noisy discos or festivals here, but there is everything to have a good time with family or friends.

The buildings stretched along the coast for 10 km, so wherever you stay, the sea will be, as they say, within easy reach. On the other hand, even if your room or room does not face the sea, you are guaranteed a great view from the window on the foothills of Ai-Petri. The choice of accommodations is quite large. Basically, vacationers are offered specially built guest houses and mini-hotels, in which the level of service is higher than in the private sector, and at a cost they are not much more expensive.

How to get there

Miskhor is located on the southern part of the Crimean coast in the foothills of Ai-Petri. Coastline in the central part of the village there is a shallow cape Ai-Todor, forming two small bays, protected from open water. The nearest neighbors are the villages of Koreiz, Gaspra, Simeiz and the city of Alupka. There is no clear boundary between them at all, and it is difficult for a visitor to determine in which of the settlements he is located.

To get to Miskhor, you should choose through which of major cities Crimea, it is more convenient for you to get directions. Three options:

  • through Simferopol. The most common option. Many trains run to the capital of Crimea long distance, and air flights are operated, including from Russia. From there you can go by direct bus to Simeiz or by trolleybus through Yalta;
  • through Sevastopol. From here to Miskhor is much closer than from Simferopol, but there are fewer trains to Sevastopol, and there is no air service at all;
  • through Yalta. This option is suitable for those who travel to the Crimea by a direct intercity bus.

general information

Miskhor is not legally independent at all locality, and is part of the urban-type settlement of Koreiz as one of the microdistricts. Its main purpose is health resort activity. On the territory there are many sanatoriums, rest houses and boarding houses built back in the times of the Union. Glory to Miskhor, as the Crimean health resort has deep history, as, indeed, and in general, the history of the entire village. The Genoese were the first to appear here, having created one of their trading colonies in the middle of the 14th century. Then there were the Ottoman Turks, and the settlement was included in the Russian Empire in 1784.

The name "Miskhor" is translated from ancient Greek as "middle settlement". This is objective for the village today. In fact, he is, as it were, in the middle of one large conglomerate formed by Gaspra, Koreiz, Simeiz and Alupka. No wonder this place was chosen by Count Yusupov - one of those close to the reigning Romanov dynasty - as his summer residence. Holidays in Miskhor were considered quite prestigious three hundred years ago, and today the situation has not changed at all.

Things to do on vacation

On vacation in Miskhor, you can visit and see many attractions. These include both historical architectural structures and objects that have appeared today. This list will be quite long, but even if you take the time for two or three objects, then you will not regret it.

  • Miskhorsky Park is considered a monument of gardening art, founded in the late 1700s. In its beauty it is not inferior to the Nikitsky Botanical Garden;
  • suspension road Miskhor - Ai-Petri. A unique engineering structure, included in the Guinness Book of Records as one of the longest non-span ropeways in the world. The trip itself to the top of Ai-Petri is already an exciting journey;
  • Dulber Palace - architectural monument XIX century, made in the Moorish style. This palace was called Bluebeard's Castle by Grand Duke Alexander Romanov. And today this palace in its beauty and picturesqueness can compete with the pearl of Crimea - the Livadia Palace.

Beach

The beaches of Miskhor start from Cape Ai-Todor and stretch along the entire territory of residential areas. They are covered with medium pebbles and are fully equipped with all the necessary infrastructure. With the exception of the municipal, all beaches are assigned to one or another sanatorium or boarding house. Being departmental, entrance to them is either paid or prohibited altogether. Municipal beach called "Mermaid" because of the monument, similar to the Copenhagen Mermaid, set right in the sea. The most popular are also the beaches "Dulber", "Sail", " Yasnaya Polyana and Marat.

Latest reviews about holidays in Miskhor

I liked everything very much. The hotel is well above average. Friendly, caring owner. Beautiful view, air, cedars, squirrels! The sea is close, very warm; ate at the dining room, a large selection of dishes, all delicious.

I liked everything very much, the hotel is much higher than the average level, wonderful location, air, cedars, squirrels, view! Awesome! Nice atmosphere, friendly and accommodating owner. We ate in the dining room on the way to the sea. Good selection of food, all very tasty. The weather was gorgeous, the sea is VERY warm. I advise.

Finally, hands reached the recall)) We ourselves live on the Black Sea coast, but we decided to take a family ride around the Crimea. From early morning until evening we were on the road, and we were looking for accommodation in fact (although the day before the trip I paid attention to this particular hotel). Because We were passing through and just needed to spend the night, I was worried that it would be problematic. But, the hospitable Vasily received us, settled us in a two-room quadruple room, gave us blankets (October). Only in the morning we saw what a stunning view from the room - the sea, the mountains. As the owner of the hotel, I put 10 with a big plus for cleanliness, comfort, attitude towards guests. For myself, of course, I noted that everything was chosen with taste, the furniture is good, the decoration in the rooms, the tiles in the rooms and the bathroom. nodes at the highest level. And I know how hard it is. Thank you, Vasily. In autumn only to you, and now for a week)

by the most significant place there is a rest in Miskhor, and there remains a sanatorium with the same name "Miskhor".

The village of Miskhor is a small residential sector (mostly boarding houses, both private and public), territorially part of the village of Koriez, and as an independent administrative unit lost its status back in 1958.

I, at one time, rested in Miskhor a couple of times, the first time in the private sector¸ in the so-called "House of Health", the second time I was more fortunate. We rested in the boarding house "Miskhor". The difference in rest is not significant, if you do not take into account food, and some material costs for visiting paid beaches.

If we compare our visits to this village, then the second race was more successful than the previous one. This is not a "stone in the garden" of private hotels. Judge for yourself. When you arrive privately at the resort, you must take care of yourself. Look for inexpensive food places (especially with children). Experiment in different canteens, keeping activated charcoal at hand at best, and visit a public beach, in this case Mermaid Beach.

Prices for holidays in Miskhor. April 2017.

tour cost

On May holidays decided to visit the Crimea, stopped in Gaspra, mini - hotel Knyazhiy Grad. We went on vacation on our own, by car, through Kerch crossing, the ferry ticket was bought online, so there were no long queues. Although the movement from the port of the Caucasus to the port of Kerch was noticeably felt these days. The hotel room was booked in advance, the price suited us perfectly, after the reservation they called us back and specified the date of arrival. For a junior suite, a room of about 20 square meters, furnished (two beds, sofa, chairs, table, TV) and bathroom. node with shower, for 6 nights 16,000 rubles. The hotel is completely made of wood, very beautiful and cozy. A beautiful view of the sea, it is blue and boundless, and of the Yalta forest reserve, pine and cypress trees fill the air with a heady aroma.

We ordered an excursion from Yalta to Bakhchisaray, in khan's palace with an inspection of the Khan's chambers and a fountain of tears, with a visit to the cave, mountain town Chufut-Kale. The cost per person is 1300 rubles. Very interesting excursion with a visit to the Livadia Palace, Vorontsovsky in Alupka, and the castle "Swallow's Nest" - a comprehensive, sightseeing and very interesting tour, paid 3,000 rubles for two. But we rejected the offer to the Nikitsky Botanical Garden, they offered us for 1000 rubles per person, but we reached Nikita with the most ordinary by regular bus, and the entrance to the Garden costs only 200 rubles, transport goes there very well.

Food and products

I really liked the restaurant "U Teschi" - fast, satisfying and tasty - seafood pilaf, fried horse mackerel, savory meat frying pan, and for the first I really liked the Ukrainian borscht with donuts. The average check for two, with beer, salads, meat with a side dish costs about 1,500 rubles. IN general prices in restaurants and decent cafes they fluctuate the same way, pasties 60-80 rubles, a glass of beer 60-70 rubles. At the market they bought fresh horse mackerel, straight from the sea (they fried us at the hotel) 100 rubles. per kilogram. Vegetables are expensive - tomatoes 250 rubles. cucumbers 130 rubles. Strawberries local, Crimean 600 rubles per kilogram. A good dry-cured sausage in a store from 900 rubles and more, hard cheeses from 600 rubles. Fast food - for a snack, fast and not expensive 160 - 300 rubles. Mineral water 50 rubles, champagne 400-600 rubles, juices on average 50-100 rubles. Barbecue ranges from 200 to 350 rubles per 100 grams.

Souvenirs and other goods

We were not interested in clothes, with the exception of buying vests for souvenirs - children's sets 400 rubles, an ordinary adult vest (with embroidery) 300 rubles. Fridge magnets with beautiful Crimean landscapes from 15 to 50 rubles, jewelry from 200 rubles to 1000, mugs 150 rubles, personalized spoons 80 rubles. Shampoo was taken exclusively by Belarusian cosmetics for 500 ml. 150 - 200 rubles, balm 230 rubles, hairspray 190 rubles, soap 50 rubles. Pricing policy for everything is one to one with Moscow.

Cost of services and entertainment

Taxi services in Gaspra have a large run-up, if you take an ordinary bombilla, then the price may scare you - they will rip you off like sticky. We ordered through the company "Fortuna" the delivery of the car from them for 100 rubles, this amount includes landing and 3 km, the subsequent mileage is calculated by an electronic meter from the cost of 20 rubles per kilometer. So do not be lazy, but order a taxi, the savings are tangible. We visited the sauna for 300 rubles per person for 3 hours, it was very cozy, we were allowed to bring beer, shrimp and water with us. "Little Farm" the cost of visiting is 150 rubles per entrance, they learned pottery making a pot out of clay, dined in an excellent farm kitchen restaurant, lay in the hayloft, a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere. The club went to Yalta. The holiday was a success.

Holiday experience in July

Wonderful. The peak of the season. The weather is sunny, warm, sometimes hot, but for lovers of sunbathing, this is only a plus. Each beach has sun loungers and umbrellas to hide from the sun during the day. Near the park and many cafes. During this period, everything works in full force. The sea is warm and clean. A pebble beach, seagulls hover around, regular boats sail. Nearby is a park, which in July is all green and blooming. And what a juniper flavor! In August, the grass already burns out and is not so beautiful.

Family holiday

The resort village not big, but there are many sights of the southern coast of Crimea around. For our family of two, lovers of excursions, Miskhor has become the most favorite place to relax. It is located near Mount Ai-Petri, where all tourists should definitely climb. This is a place of indescribable beauty. Near Vorontsov Palace(go a couple of bus stops) with a beautiful park. You can wander there all day long. In Miskhor itself, there is also a park that will help you arrange your leisure time in the heat. He will cover the crown of his trees from the sun. There are many benches in the park (though some are broken), there are benches overlooking the sea and boats sailing along it. This is a very beautiful sight.

What to take with you on vacation?

We always take a minimum of clothes with us - this is a couple of sets for different exits. In July, you can not take warm clothes with you - they will not come in handy. You should also always take a supply of medicines in the traveler's first aid kit. This is from the head, motion sickness (the South Coast is famous for its "serpentine" roads), poisoning, temperature and its chronic ailments. You should not take an umbrella, because it rarely rains in July, and if it does, it is warm and short-lived.

Where is the best place to stay?

We stayed in the private sector. Prices depend on amenities and location. The best choice- It's 10 minutes walk from the sea. Amenities in the room, and the kitchen is one for a couple of families. There are many people who want to rent an apartment, a room or a house on a turnkey basis at the stop.

What to do at the resort?

In Miskhor, the first stage of acquaintance with the place of rest is a visit to Miskhor Park. There is a palm alley, various sculptures, once there was a fountain. Lots of different paths along the coast. Nature is very beautiful. Smells like juniper. In the evening, the entrance to the coastal zone of various recreation centers opens. There is live music, there are many cafes, there are steps up to the gazebo, which is located high on the mountain and offers stunning views.

Lots of suggestions for tours. We went to see grand canyon Crimea. It's quite far from Miskhor, but it's worth it. The canyon impresses with its water cascades, nature, narrow paths along the mountain river, various legends told by the guide. You need to prepare for the excursion in advance so that you have comfortable shoes, suitable clothes and at least minimal sports training. This tour is quite extreme and you need to be prepared for it.

For a small village, the number of urban free beaches sufficient. The beach has sun loungers and umbrellas. The beach is pebbly, but there are also large stones. There are many cafes nearby where you can eat ice cream or drink beer.

From the shops I can note various souvenir shops that offer tourists huge selection pleasant surprises for relatives from the rest. You can also choose something for yourself that will remind you of a great time spent in Miskhor.

Where can you eat?

Not far from the park and the beach there is an excellent cafe where you can eat delicious food for normal money. Choice of first and second, desserts and appetizers. Lots of tables and a fish fountain.

About the quality of food and service

We did not cook ourselves, but ate in a cafe. Food is delicious, service is quite good. If you do not take into account the fact that my husband liked the waitress and she made him so rosy eyes.

Pros of rest in Miskhor

There are a huge number of pluses. The very first is to live near beautiful mountain Ai-Petri, to see how the sun rises and sets near the mountain. Walks in Miskhor Park, entrance to which is free.

Nearby there are many attractions that you can see for a minimum amount of money. These are the Vorontsov Palace and Park, the Swallow's Nest, Livadia, Yusupov, Massandra and other palaces. The ascent on the cable car to Mount Ai-Petri will give a lot of impressions. From the cable car cabin opens beautiful view.
