Kremlin and Red Square

Usually, tourists quickly find the answer to the question of where to go in Moscow in the first place - it is customary to start acquaintance with the capital from Red Square and the Kremlin. To the west of the square is the Kremlin, to the east - GUM, to the south and north - St. Basil's Cathedral, the Historical Museum and the Kazan Cathedral. The Moscow Kremlin is an ancient fortress in the center of the capital and the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation. Japanese garden 0+

In this place, time stops: the rush and bustle of the big city are left behind the bamboo gates, and pagodas, pavilions and bridges, symbolic for Japanese culture, set you in a contemplative mood. The garden was designed by a Japanese landscape architect and was a gift from Japan to the Soviet Union. The park is good at any time, but it is especially beautiful during the cherry blossom season, in early May: there are about 250 trees here, of which 40 bloom. The cherry blossoms quickly fade, so it’s worth carving out a day and joining the Japanese culture.

House of architect K. Melnikov

The Melnikov House is widely known abroad as one of the brightest examples of the Soviet avant-garde, but in Moscow itself, oddly enough, little is known about it. The futuristic-inspired design makes the building look like a spacecraft. Inside the house is no less interesting than outside: the space is organized so diversely that the architect even offered a prize to someone who understands how many floors the building has. Now the Melnikov Museum is open here, a visit is possible only with a guided tour and by appointment.

Street Prechistenka

Prechistenka is one of the oldest Moscow streets, which, for its luxurious and picturesque view, is compared with the Parisian district of Saint-Germain. In addition, the place has a strong connection with literature - Bulgakov settled Professor Preobrazhensky in house 24, and many writers mentioned the street in their works.

The interior decoration of the manor house of the Uzkoye estate is striking in its splendor: art objects of the 17th-20th centuries, antique furniture, and interior elements from different eras are collected here. Such an exposition would do honor to any Moscow museum. It seems that time has stopped and everything here is the same as many, many years ago, but this is not entirely true. Now life is in full swing here, there is a sanatorium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, so it will not be possible to get into the estate without hindrance. Just a few kilometers from the Serednikovo estate, and you will find yourself in a ghost town. Built for the filming of "Notes of a Freight Forwarder of the Secret Office", it is a classic European port town of the late 18th century. There are fifty buildings here that will take you through time and space: half-timbered houses, a town hall, a pier, taverns, a cemetery and a prison. Most of the buildings can be entered, and 1,500 people can be in the film city at the same time. So this place is suitable even for a photo shoot, even for a thematic festival.
