Basanavičius Street (Jono Basanaviсiaus gatve)

Today people live here, however, only about 2 thousand people, but in the village there are often tourists who come here to ride a boat, go fishing and just relax on the local beaches. Rest houses are built in this area, or you can just rent a house and relax in nature. And if you pass the church and turn right, you will see great picnic areas and a playground with wooden sculptures and swings.

Immediately in the north of the city there are pillars for rituals made of wood - the Samogitian sanctuary. This is a Lithuanian pagan temple, which, it seems, was still actively used in the 15th century. These wooden pillars symbolize different gods of the Balts. Well, you can’t pass by a sculpture 4 meters high, next to the port gate. It is called "The Fisherman's Daughters" and depicts girls who look out to sea in anticipation of their father.
