Montenegro on the map of Montenegro in Russian. Tourist map of Budva, resort map with residential areas. Blue Cave - nothing special, but very beautiful

In this post you will find several maps of Montenegro, they mark the main attractions, beach resorts, historical cities etc. There are also detailed maps most popular resorts(Budva, Kotor). If you need information about a city/resort that is not in the post, then write your request in the comments and I will definitely answer it.

I could not find a detailed Montenegrin map in Russian, so I decided to write a long post about all kinds of maps of this country. The map for this post has been compiled in different places(in commercial tourist shops, in government tourist offices, on websites on the Internet, etc.).

If you have a good Russified map of Montenegro, send it to me and it will be placed in this post.

For your comfortable acquaintance with the cards, I will try to “Russify” them with my comments and notes.

Tourist map of Budva, resort map with residential areas

Budva is the main tourist resort Montenegro, the city is perfectly suited for mass tourism, so let's start with the Budva map.

On this tourist map, you can see how the Jadran Way motorway passes through the city - along this route you can drive the whole country along the coast, from Croatia to Albania.

The highway conditionally divides the city into two parts. If you are looking for accommodation in Budva (follow the link for a detailed post about rental housing in this resort), then down to the sea - expensive hotels(Alexander Hotel, Slavyansky Beach Hotel, etc.), up to the mountains - cheaper apartments (there are quite a lot of offers for renting private apartments and rooms with daily payment).

Be sure to read my general post about renting Montenegrin resort real estate, about its types and features of renting.

Residential areas of Budva on the tourist map

  1. Podkoslun- on the map, this is the extreme right side of the city (in opposite side from the Old Town), this area is always quiet and calm;
  2. Rosine- in the very center of the map, here are located: the Budva bus station, the main market, large supermarkets and other infrastructure important for tourists, as well as a flat road to the sea (I lived in this area);
  3. Gosposhtina- a stone's throw from the Old Town, near the Mogren beaches, this area is always noisy;
  4. Lazi- a very hilly area (located above the Podkoshlyun area), it is high here, it is quite difficult to walk in the heat;
  5. Submine- within walking distance from Podmaine Monastery, this area is not very popular with tourists, too far from the sea;
  6. Dubovica- the area is located near the bus station and the city center, there is an excellent infrastructure and a smooth road to the sea;
  7. Bizheli- if you settle in this area, you will hear the Top Hill disco well, through the area there is Toplishki Put street, which leads to the disco;
  8. Vidikovac- the area is located next to Mogren beach, and has the most beautiful view to the Old City, but very long walk uphill.

Montenegrin coast map

Despite the fact that Montenegro is full of beauty, and you can easily find something to do at least for the whole summer or more, however, most of our compatriots prefer to relax exclusively on seaside resorts. About the features of the Montenegrin beach holiday, read the link.

In this part of the post, let's see where in Montenegro, popular coastal resorts which have gained popularity among Russian tourists.

Here are the main beach resorts:

  1. Tivat;
  2. Becici;
  3. Petrovac;
  4. Budva;
  5. Ulcinj.

Tivat on the map

Tivat is one of the youngest tourist cities. Of the features of this Montenegrin resort, it can be noted that the city quickly catches up, it actively appears tourism infrastructure. Along with new buildings, Tivat has several historical sights.

Good transport accessibility opens up great prospects for this resort. The city has an international airport, a yacht club Porto Montenegro, a bus station, and a highway.

Becici on the map

In the neighborhood of noisy Budva (literally 15 minutes walk), there is a calm resort village Becici. small town located on a hillside that descends to one of the best beaches Montenegro. There are not very many attractions in Becici, but they are interesting.

Rest on this resort is suitable for those who love peace and quiet. It is especially good for tourists with small children in Becici, as the local beach is magnificent, and the entrance to the water is even and smooth.

Petrovac on the map

The resort town of Petrovac is located 20 kilometers from the noisy and overcrowded Budva, tourists come to this resort for family vacation.

Budva on the map

Budva is located in the very center of the Montenegrin coast. If you are staying at this resort, then this will allow you to travel around the whole country on public buses (link. detailed instructions on the use of Montenegrin buses), while every day you can return to your hotel.

  1. On the Budva Riviera;
  2. On the Herzegnovskaya Riviera (Boko Bay of Kotor);
  3. The beaches of New Bar;
  4. On the Ulcinj Riviera.

Montenegro has a long coastline, in the country more than 70 kilometers Adriatic coast where you can find a beach for every taste and budget.

There are several types of beaches in the country: sandy (often with imported sand), small and large pebbles (the most common), rocky (it is better to have special shoes to enter the water).

Let's look at the map and see that it is convenient to combine the beaches according to their location. We will divide the entire coast into several areas: the Budva Riviera, the Herzegnovskaya Riviera (Boka Kotorska Bay), the beaches of Novy Bar, and the Ulcinj Riviera.

The beaches of the Budva Riviera

The beaches of the Budva Riviera should be looked for in the very center of the map. Sand and pebble beaches prevail in Budva and its environs, some of them with rocky areas, but in tourist season there are no free places on any beach in Budva. Walk along all the beaches of the Budva Riviera (from Budva to Sveti Stefan), you can follow the link.

Several popular beaches can be noted on the Budva Riviera: Lucice (Petrovac), Sveti Stefan, Morgen, Jaz and Ploche beaches. During the tourist season, all the beaches from Budva to Sveti Stefan are very popular, but the entrance to some costs space money (from 100 Euros and more).

The beaches of the Herzegnovskaya Riviera

The best beaches of Boka Kotor Bay are located on the Hercegnovskaya Riviera, it is located at the very border with Croatia (from Herzen Novi to Croatian Dubrovnik is only 50 kilometers). It should be borne in mind that in Herceg Novi and in the entire Bay of Kotor, there are no high seas, this is a bay with all the ensuing pluses and minuses.

The beaches on the Herzegnovskaya Riviera, as in most places in the Bay of Kotor, are rocky - this is not very convenient for swimming, and sometimes dangerous. In the most tourist places the coast of the bay is simply poured into concrete, and you should go into the sea along the ladder, as if it were a pool.

This sounds crazy, but all these inconveniences are perfectly compensated by picturesque views. If you look at the photos of the concrete beaches of Herceg Novi, it seems like nothing, but this is a matter of taste.

The beaches of New Bar

On the map, the city of Bar should be looked for south of Budva, it is located between the resort of Petrovac and the city of Ulcinj.

There are several good beaches on the coast of Bar, they are mostly sand and pebbles, there is even a tiny beach with red, coral sand. But it should be remembered that the New Bar is major port and not the best place For beach holiday.

Ulcinj Riviera beaches

Ulcinj is easy to find, on the map it is located on the border with Albania. It is believed that it is in Ulcinj that everything is warmest, both at sea and on land. The water near the coast warms up faster than in other places, it's all about the bottom topography (it is gentle here) and the dark shade of sand (sand is of volcanic origin).

This is where it is located

- a rather peculiar country, with its own rules and laws. Montenegro is an incredible beauty of natural resources that are unconditionally protected by the state. This unique country, the only country where there are no industries that harm natural resources, but there are four reserves and almost the entire territory of the country is protected by UNESCO.

Today in Montenegro it is fashionable to relax in villas that are designed for a wonderful holiday.

The following resorts are always hospitable and glad to tourists: Becici - small town, on the coast Adriatic Sea. It is on the beaches of Becici that the most luxurious hotels in Montenegro are located. Budva is the so-called capital of tourism in Montenegro. This city is famous historical monuments, and modern beaches and bays. Herceg Novi is a town where you can not only relax, but also improve your health.

You were presented with the most basic and detailed maps of Montenegro, which you can always use to search for an object of interest to you or for any other purpose. Happy travels!

Montenegro is very rich in the most amazing sights. Just listing and describing them would take a whole book.

Here you can see not only luxurious, but also temples and fortresses. Even the most successful photographs in no way convey the beauty that we (and we really hope that you too) will remember for a lifetime.

They deserve special mention - in most of them there are a lot of interesting corners that are definitely worth a look.

Sights of Montenegro on the map

Initially, we planned to place a map of Montenegro attractions at the end of the article, but it turned out to be quite convenient and useful, and therefore we moved it to the beginning. Of course, far from all the popular attractions of the country are marked on the map, we have selected only the most interesting ones.

Natural attractions of Montenegro

Montenegro, it's not only and not how much, how much amazing beauty. Sometimes it seems to us that in such a tiny corner of the planet God tried to collect as many interesting things as possible.

In the photo is a street in the city of Ulcinj, the sunniest in Montenegro

And indeed: in Montenegro awaits you, small islands, marvelous beautiful coves and bays, caves, palm trees, tropical flowers and.

And at the same time, it is here that you can enjoy the amazingly beautiful and landscapes, visit, fly on a bungee over the canyon of a mountain river or raft along it in an inflatable boat.

Do you think that's all? Of course not. Here they dive with scuba gear, enjoy the comfort of quiet medieval towns, ride a parachute over the bay, sail on a boat on the sea and the bay and dine in cozy small restaurants with a quite good choice of dishes.

We were able to interest you? Then let's run through main attractions countries. We promise to draw up detailed and interesting descriptions, add juicy photos and panoramas and provide a map of the country with the most important sights.

Boka Kotorska Bay is the most accessible of all attractions

The canyons of the Tara and Moraca rivers are the most amazing corner of Montenegro

In our opinion, this excursion is considered the most important in Montenegro. To fly to Montenegro and not go, it's almost the same as never going to.

Just imagine how from early morning until late evening, for more than 14 hours you will be driven through the mountains of Montenegro. During this time, you will travel around almost the entire country, see the fantastic, rocky canyon of the Moraca River and the wooded one, you will see, which is considered almost the hallmark of Montenegro, and even stop by the fantastic one.

Tell about quantity amazing landscapes that we managed to see is simply impossible. None of the photos convey in any way fantastic beauty of this place, any description seems pale in comparison with reality. You can enjoy the fantastic panoramas of the Montenegrin mountains:

Durmitor - a fantastic natural and landscape park

The bay of the city of Herceg Novi (or the southern part of the Bay of Kotor)

To be honest, the bay itself is not much different from. Unless the scale is getting bigger. Unlike the rather narrow Boka Kotorska, here the distances between the two banks are very significant.

At the same time, visiting the bay is very interesting. We were here on time. The whole day we enjoyed the sun, the waves that slightly rocked the ship, beautiful Montenegrin and Serbian music, hearty breakfast and lunch.

But the main thing, of course, is not this. We managed to visit - the greenest, most beautiful and romantic of all that we have seen in Montenegro.

Wander through the narrow medieval streets, going down the countless stone stairs and passages, enjoy the fantastic landscapes of the bay, hiding from the hot midday sun under the crowns of lush palm trees, go to small shops (and the prices here are lower than in resorts and) or visit one of the small colorful restaurants ... What could be better?

We offer you to enjoy a fantastic view of the bay and the city in the distance:

Blue Cave - nothing special, but very beautiful

St. Nicholas Island near Budva - almost Hawaii in Montenegro

In the photo is the island of St. Nicholas from the old town of Budva.

Yes exactly. Montenegro has its own Hawaii. In fact, this island in the bay is called Saint Nicholas island, but for some reason, the locals understand the name Hawaii much better.

If you have ever dreamed of relaxing on a real island, feel free to negotiate on the pier. For only 5 Euro you will be taken to the island in the morning and picked up in the evening.

Previously, there was a small monastery here (16th century), now only ruins remain of it. There are practically no other attractions on the island. But there is quite a good beach (but pebbly, not sandy), where usually much less people than on, several catering establishments and a small souvenir shop.

Other natural attractions of Montenegro

Of course, the list we have provided is by no means complete. Montenegro is an amazing country. Its sights can be seen for years. It is worth visiting the Skadar and Piva lakes, lovers will be pleased to look at the heart-shaped Trnovatsko Lake.

Many will be interested in visiting the Lovcen reserves with the grave of Njegus on the top and natural Park Biogradska mountain. It would be interesting to go to the Island of Flowers or visit the beaches of Bar with black sand, which is considered beneficial for the musculoskeletal system.

The olive grove near Ulcinj deserves special attention, and the beaches of Ada Bojana cannot be ignored ...

And how many more amazing corners of Montenegro exist that we simply do not know about? After all, we, too, are exactly the same as you, and we write only about those places where we were personally.

Cultural attractions of Montenegro - ancient cities and resorts

There are a lot of sights in Montenegro. Unfortunately or fortunately, they are almost evenly dispersed throughout the country. Some of them will have to go specifically, but most can be reached by public transport or visit during one of the . It is about them that we will talk with you.

The ancient city of Kotor - little Italy, a huge fortress wall, the amazing charm of medieval streets

The green city of Herceg Novi is the most amazing and beautiful of all that we managed to visit

Cetinje - the old capital of Montenegro with a long history and ancient traditions

For almost the entire history of Montenegro, the city was its capital. It was here that Peter Negush, the greatest Sovereign of Montenegro, received the ambassadors, here the fate of the country was decided and the defense against the Turkish invaders was planned.

The city is located in mountain valley, safely hidden from ill-wishers. In ancient times, this helped to defend it from the Turks, but now it has ruined the city. They decided to move the capital closer to the center of the country, to a place where it is easier and faster to get to.

Perast is a very tiny one-street town that is definitely worth a visit.

Budva is the largest resort town with a lot to see

St. Stephen's Island is the most luxurious and most expensive resort in the country, which is not so easy to get to

Tivat is a small cozy corner where Montenegrins love to relax

locals very much appreciate the comfort and tranquility of this small town. There are many green parks, there is something to see and where to relax. And at the same time, prices are much lower than in other resorts, and there are almost no tourists. Of the sights of Tivat and the surrounding area, I would like to highlight Porto Montenegro - the largest marina for very expensive yachts.

The Island of Flowers deserves special attention, where there is an interesting monastery and many species of rare and exotic plants are collected. There are also several excellent beaches, which are practically not filled with tourists.

From the sights directly in Tivat we advise you to look medieval palace"Bucha", Monastery of the Archangel Michael and Botanical Garden Tivat. We have already written in more detail about in a separate article.

It is worth clarifying that Tivat will not the best option if you value beaches first of all. In the city itself, they are mostly concrete, and to more successful options you have to either walk a long time or even drive.

Bridge of Dzhurdzhevich Tara - visiting card of Montenegro

For us personally, it was the view from that that became the symbol of Montenegro. Just imagine a bridge of incredible height, a river flowing somewhere far, far below, and fantastic mountain scenery. Somewhere in the distance, mountain meadows are visible, small villages and even lonely houses, tourists who went rafting float under you, and exactly the same tourists fly by who wish to ride a bungee over. To all this must be added fresh Mountain air, gentle sun and overgrown with forest mountain slopes. This is how we remember this place.

Religious sights of Montenegro - churches, temples and monasteries

There are a lot of churches in Montenegro. Every town and village has its own church, and sometimes more than one. They say that there used to be a small village here, where there were 365 churches - one for each day of the year. It is almost impossible to tell about all the churches in the format of a short article, and therefore we decided to select only the most important ones that we managed to visit personally.

Ostrog Monastery is the main religious shrine of Montenegro, which every year receives millions of pilgrims from all over the world

Cetinje Monastery - the place where the right hand of John the Baptist and a piece of the life-giving cross are kept

The Church of the Gospa ot Shkrpel (Our Lady of the Rock) is the only church built along with the island on which it stands

Despite the fact that this church is not included in the list of the most visited or significant from a religious point of view, it is likely to be the most interesting for ordinary tourists. Now let's try to explain why.

visit it amazing place the easiest way is during a tour of.

Moraca Monastery - not the most famous, but very interesting and beautiful

We discovered this monastery for ourselves at the time. Despite the fact that at first glance it does not strike with either antiquity or significance, in my opinion this is exactly what it should be. mountain monastery. The monks set up a small vegetable garden and an apiary, maintain a garden, cultivate the land and provide themselves with everything necessary. It is amazingly beautiful here, it was in this place that we felt that the monastery really lives, that the monks are here all the time, and do not come in the morning as if to work.

Church of St. Luke in Kotor, both Orthodox and Catholic

Pictured is the Church of St. Luke in Kotor. As you can see, it is quite small, but quite old.

With this very small, but old church tied interesting story. Initially, it is Orthodox. But during the attack on Montenegro by the Turks, a lot of Catholics fled to the relatively safe place, which was protected by powerful fortress walls. They did not have their own church, but they needed to carry out rituals. Therefore, the inhabitants of the city decided to divide the church into two halves. A second altar was installed here and services were held both according to the Catholic and Orthodox rites.

Over time, there were almost no Orthodox residents left, the church became completely Catholic. So she changed her “religion” several times - Napoleon intervened, the number of inhabitants of different faiths played a role.

At some point, the Orthodox residents built a separate church for themselves, much more magnificent than the church of St. Luke. Then she again became fully Catholic. Now there are no Catholics in the city, and therefore the Church of St. Luke is Orthodox. But if suddenly many Italians move to live in the city, for example, the church has every chance to become Catholic again.

This story very well demonstrates the mentality of the Montenegrin people. There have almost never been bloody wars between Christians, and mixed marriages between Catholics and Orthodox are the norm. At the same time, the Montenegrins for centuries, not knowing fatigue, fought against the Turkish invaders.

The Cathedral of St. Tryphon is the largest church in Kotor, which is remembered by almost all tourists

The Cathedral of St. Tryphon is the largest of all that we managed to see in Kotor.
Paid entrance.

This is the most big church V . Many stories and legends are associated with it, which guides or local residents will be happy to tell you. We will focus only on the most popular, associated with the acquisition of the relics of St. Tryphon, hence the name of the Cathedral of St. Tryphon).

They say that when Italian merchants sailed to Venice to sell the relics of St. Tryphon there, a storm broke out in the sea with amazing strength. The people had no choice but to hide with the ship in a safe, near the city.

The storm raged for three days. The locals thought it was Saint Tryphon who wanted to stay in the city. During the night they collected required amount and redeemed the relics.

Unfortunately, visiting the church for tourists in Lately became paid, and therefore, given that we already had very little time and a lot of desire to see everything, we didn’t get inside.

There are usually a lot of people on the Slavic beach, but there is a good bottom and a beautiful view.

Mogren beaches are one of the most beautiful beaches in Budva

If you like beautiful, cozy and romantic beaches, be sure to walk to. Even just the road to them will definitely be remembered for a long time. Just imagine how right hand huge slate rocks hang from you, and to the left, somewhere below, another wave breaks against the stones.

Pretty narrow, but not dangerous. True, almost every ten to fifteen meters you have to stop to enjoy the view of the sea, the island of St. Nicholas or Old city. The photos are just amazing.

The beaches themselves are quite small. Food, water and sunbeds here are significantly more expensive than nearby. But this place is very beautiful and ideal for families with children - it will be interesting for them to climb the rocks, and the gentle, safe bottom will not allow them to swim to great depths.

Richardova Glava Beach - a very small cozy corner near the Old Town of Budva

A typical picture on the beach of Richard's Head - a lot of people and not enough space.

This very small beach with a length of about 100 meters is included in the prestigious catalog of the best beaches in Nikki Beach. It is located in, a stone's throw from the Old Town.

There is practically no place to relax on a towel here, almost the entire beach is lined with paid sunbeds. Prices are also slightly higher than in the neighboring one.

The beach is distinguished by a slightly higher water temperature and a gentle, comfortable bottom. Despite quite high price sun loungers, it is usually filled almost completely.

Zhanitsa beach - the cleanest water, small pebbles and the President of Montenegro

This beach is considered one of the cleanest in Montenegro. This is partly due to the small pebble bottom, which is not very comfortable to walk on. The water here is so clean that even sea urchins. We advise you to carefully look under your feet so as not to step on it.

Zhanitsa beach is pebbly. It is not convenient to sunbathe on a towel here, you have to buy a sunbed.

The beach itself is quite ordinary. Here, as in any other place, you can rent a sunbed, have a bite to eat a hamburger or sit in a small restaurant.

There are also differences. Fresh shower for a fee, automatic. Throw 50 euro cents - water starts to flow. Water is not particularly saved, you will have time to wash yourself together or even three of us.

There is also an amazing olive grove growing around the beach, which is definitely worth a look. They do an olive oil massage right on the beach, which is a bit cheaper than other places.

There is a fairly large marina next to the beach. If you wish, you can go to, visit the island-fortress of Mamula or go to (about 6 kilometers by sea).

Other popular beaches of fabulous Montenegro

The easiest way to visit the sights of Montenegro

The easiest way to visit the sights. There are quite a few of them, every day you can go and see something. This option has a lot of poles, for example, you will save a lot of nerves, you will show many sights, many of which are quite difficult to get to on your own.

This problem is solved self-guided tours on . This is both cheaper and more interesting, but you may miss something interesting or spend a lot of nerves in controversial situations.

The third sightseeing option is the most expensive, but also the most comfortable. If you wish, you can rent a car and travel around the country at your pleasure, stopping where and when you want.

Which option to choose is up to you. I propose in the comments to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each of the options.
