Bali beach resorts. East coast and central Bali. Kuta and Seminyak: the party centers of Bali

There are many places closely associated with Bali - Sanur, Denpasar, Uluwatu, Kuta and others. They differ from each other not only in their picturesque nature, but also in the degree of tourist flow, price and proximity to the beach.

For those who love constant movement, fun, a big company, we recommend going to the Seminyak and Kuta areas. These are places of constant parties, active nightlife. In addition, here you can rent motorbikes and cars at any time. Shops, cafes, nightclubs are located nearby, while in other areas you need to rent to get to them vehicle or take a taxi. Do you want to be in the center of the surf party and do not like excessive gloss? Then keep your way to Kuta. Here you do not have to overpay for service, food. You can easily find a hotel costing $15-20 for one room.

Seminyak is Kuta's more expensive neighbor, where the more affluent crowd hangs out. There are restaurants with a European interior, designer boutiques, luxury hotels with decent service, cozy villas.

For surfers, as well as for those who want to learn how to conquer the wave, you can choose the areas of Canggu, Ungasan, Jimbaran, Print, Uluwatu. Here you will experience the true flavor of Bali and interact with the surf sport. In Chang everywhere picturesque greenery, real villages, rice fields. There are no organized, fenced beaches with sun loungers in this place, as here big waves and swimming is not possible.

And you can sunbathe, swim in plenty in Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Sanur. But even here you can meet a strong surf. Entry into the ocean in almost all places is difficult due to the presence of stones and corals. The white sand peninsula Bukit is more suitable for beach holiday, but you need to get to it by transport. There are no waves in Sanur, as its beaches are fenced with breakwaters and bays.

For those who do not need the ocean, who are looking for solitude in the green vegetation of rice terraces, you can rent cozy house in Ubud. This is an area with real Balinese villages fresh air, greenery, winding forests. Each village is engaged in a certain craft: the manufacture of wooden handicrafts, silver jewelry, and hewing of stone statues.

More deserted and less popular are the areas of Lovina, Chandidas, Amed. In these places, hotels, beaches are secluded, and for young people it will be boring in them.

Bali is concentrated a large number of resorts. Some of them are located near the shore and have magnificent beaches. Others lurk in the outback of the island and allow you to enjoy a relaxing holiday and see the most interesting places the edges. I propose to consider each resort closer, which will allow you to choose your paradise in Bali.

This is one of the first resorts in Indonesia where tourism began to develop. Even 40 years ago, no one could even imagine that from a simple fishing village, resort town, which tourists wish to visit even from the most remote corners of the globe.

Today, the area has great tourism potential. Numerous hotels were built here. different levels, entertainment venues are open, points Catering, shops, souvenir shops and other infrastructure facilities.

Numerous beaches are suitable for both relaxing and active rest. Many of them are popular among surfers. They will be appreciated even by those for whom surfing is absolutely the new kind sports. The main stream of tourists is Australians, which is why many establishments are focused on them.

Central Beach is called Kuta Beach, it was from him that the development of the tourism industry began. It is quite wide, the entrance to the sea is gentle, the sand is white. Most of the hotels are aimed at the average tourist, but finding higher-class accommodation is also not difficult.

Legian

One of the most luxury resorts on Bali. It is located north of Kuta, and its literal name translates as "pleasant" or "delightful". Its picturesque landscapes, pleasing climatic conditions, stunning beaches - all this is guaranteed to give an unforgettable vacation experience.

All the beaches are formed naturally and consist of a gray color that takes on a metallic hue at dawn. The advantage of the resort is that there are no rock formations and coral reefs, so swimming is safe. The entrance to the sea is gentle. There are many surfers here who come from all over the world. You can meet both professional wave conquerors and those who are just starting to master this sport.

Unlike other resorts, Legian has a lower pricing policy for many tourist services. Night entertainment is also presented here, the food system is well developed. Fans of shopping will also be able to find something to their liking. The resort has numerous shops, supermarkets, large department stores.

Jimbaran

The resort is located in the south of the island and is the best place for those who are looking for conditions for a relaxing and secluded pastime. 5 kilometers away is international Airport, which allows you to reach the hotels in minutes. The hotel base is represented by a wide variety of options for accommodation. It will not be difficult to find a modest guest house or hostel here. A higher level of comfort and service is offered by 4 or 5 star hotels, which are also plentiful in the resort.

The beaches of Jimbaran are clean, the water is azure, which attracts couples with children. Facilities on the beaches are represented by sun loungers and umbrellas. In numerous cafes and restaurants you can taste delicious seafood dishes, most of of which are caught in the local waters. As for surfing, in most cases, beginners come to the resort, as there are no high waves. Rich undersea world allows you to snorkel. The main attractions of the region are the Uluwatu Temple and fish market.

Nusa Dua

Looking for a place to stay at the highest level? Then the Nusa Dua resort is just what you need. It is a closed area and is intended for foreign tourists. The resort is located in the eastern part of the Bukit peninsula. Almost all hotels are classified as 4 and 5 stars and operate on an all-inclusive basis. High developed infrastructure will allow you to feel a decent level of comfort even for the most demanding tourists. Vacation prices are quite high, so I advise you to book accommodation in advance.

The disadvantage of the resort is that the tides are very noticeable here, in some hotels they even post a schedule so that vacationers know when is the best time to go to the beach.

In the western part of the district there are several cliffs that offer stunning views of the surrounding area. Nusa Dua has a huge number of spas, there are conditions for shopping. As for attractions, there are few of them. But there is always the opportunity to go on excursions to other areas of Bali.

Tanjung Benoa

The resort got its name in honor of a small fishing village, and this is no coincidence, since most of the population of the region is just busy fishing. Tanjung Benoa is simply amazing with its lush tropical vegetation, picturesque landscapes, as well as its wonderful beach, which consists of the finest light-colored sand.

This is one of the youngest tourist destinations developing rapidly. The central beach of Benoa allows you to enjoy a quiet and relaxing holiday. Such conditions are great for couples with small children. Despite the fact that the resort is not famous for active recreation, you can still meet surfers on the beaches, mostly those who are just starting to master this species sports.

Within Tanjung Benoa there are a huge number of catering establishments and bars. Cafes and restaurants serve both national and European dishes. special attention Kazunoya restaurant deserves Japanese cuisine.

Sanur

The resort is located in the southeast of the island. Its construction was intended specifically for tourists, which made the area the first resort settlement on Bali. Luxury hotels and highly developed infrastructure have made it an ideal place for elite vacation. Mostly people come here with small children and those who are looking for beaches for a relaxing and secluded holiday.

The resort's beach bears the same name and stretches along the coast for 5 kilometers. A stone path is laid out along it, which allows you to enjoy walking or cycling. Due to the fact that a coral reef runs close to the coast, the sea here almost always remains calm. The entrance to the water is gentle, there are no poisonous algae and dangerous jellyfish. Fans of outdoor activities will appreciate diving. In addition, there is the opportunity to learn windsurfing or kiteboarding. Among the sights, it is worth highlighting the Le Mayer Museum, the temple of Pura Blanjong, the mangrove reserve.

Padang Bay

A small resort located in the eastern part of Bali. There is a ferry terminal on its main beach, which makes the coastal part not very attractive for recreation. That is why given place often used as a transit point from which depart to Lombok.

But few people know that a little further there are several more beaches that are ideal for relaxing. Among them Blue Lagoon, a coral reef originates almost at the very shore, which creates optimal conditions for snorkeling.

The infrastructure of the resort is poorly developed. You won't find here shopping centers, entertainment venues, thanks to which the holiday takes on a completely different direction. There are several diving centers on the streets of the resort, and the stunning nature and diversity of the underwater world will give you the most vivid diving experience. For lovers sightseeing holiday several magnificent temples have been preserved, from Padang Bay it is easiest to get to the Batur volcano.

Chandi Dasa

In the southeastern part of Bali is the resort town of Chandi Dasa, which is great for connoisseurs of a relaxing holiday and for those who decide to get acquainted with the underwater world of the Indian Ocean. From all sides, the area is surrounded by picturesque landscapes, the formation of which was influenced by mountain ranges and endless ocean.

The main hotels, villas and restaurants are located along the road, but local population lives on the outskirts locality. There are practically no beaches suitable for swimming within the resort. All of them are slightly aloof. That is why tourists almost never come here for a long vacation. Vacationers can stay for a couple of days in order to get acquainted with the sights of the eastern part of the island. Another feature of the resort is the numerous diving schools that organize diving in the most beautiful places region.

Amed

In the east of the island is the resort of Amed with its eponymous beach. This is another amazing place for connoisseurs of solitary pastime. The area is perfect for a beach holiday, there are almost never high waves here, which attracts couples with children. The coastal strip is formed by coarse dark sand.

Within the resort, housing of all classes is presented, it will not be difficult to find a budget option or five-star apartments. In addition, it is offered to rent villas for a longer period.

Near the resort is the Gunung Agung volcano, which is the highest point on the island. For connoisseurs of outdoor activities, trekking routes have been developed along which you can get to its top. The rich underwater world and the presence of a coral reef create conditions for diving and snorkeling.

Lovina

The quiet resort of Lovina is located in the north of Bali. It stretches for 10 kilometers, and its atmosphere is significantly different from that which is inherent in south coast islands. good infrastructure and interesting sights make the area the most visited in this part of the island. The center of the resort is in the village of Kalibukbuk, where most of the hotels, restaurants and tourist offices are concentrated.

The beach is wide, its distinctive feature is volcanic sand dark color. The bottom is shallow, there are almost never strong waves. The only drawback is the ebbs and flows. The main entertainment is swimming with dolphins. Around 5-6 o'clock in the morning, dozens of boats go to sea to enjoy the incredible spectacle. And if you walk to the beach after sunset, you can see how the water begins to shine with a silvery blue hue. It's all about nocturnal plankton.

Ubud

If you want to get acquainted with the Balinese culture and at the same time enjoy the picturesque tropical landscapes, then the Ubud resort is what you need. The area attracts with its calm exotic atmosphere. The infrastructure is well developed here: there are numerous shops, yoga schools, spas and much more. The only thing missing in the area are the beaches. All of them are located at a decent distance.

The hotel fund is represented by hotels of different levels. It will not be difficult to find worthy 5-star apartments for yourself here. Near the resort there is a huge number of attractions, which will diversify your leisure time and create an individual recreation program.

Bali resorts on the map

On this map, I marked all the described resorts.

Each resort in Bali has its own distinctive features. But they all offer excellent conditions for recreation. Such an abundance resort areas will allow you to choose perfect place for future vacation.

The choice of a resort in Bali depends only on your preferences, while nothing prevents you from changing your location and trying out different options, since there is a large selection.

Kuta- the closest area from the airport and densely populated by tourists. Here you can find cheap homestay and comfortable hotel with all the amenities for a reasonable price. The streams of tourists and transport daily fill the streets of Kuta, which makes the resort a bit like an anthill. The long beach strip is located very close to the hotels, and the waves on the sea are just right for beginner surfers. On the beach itself or in one of the surf schools, you can rent a board and hire an instructor.

North of Kuta is an area Seminyak. It can rightly be called the concentration of night and restaurant life. Here you can find many boutiques for every taste, from European designers to Javanese batik, furniture and home accessories.

Bukit is a peninsula in the southern part of Bali. It contains the resort areas of Jimbaran, Nusa Dua and Tanjung Benoa.

Jimbaran suitable for lovers of a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle (unlike Kuta and Seminyak, for example), being only half an hour from the airport. The resort is famous for fresh seafood cafes that stretch hundreds of meters along the coast. Tables for guests go almost to the sea, so experience the pleasure of tasting marine life at sunset, feeling the warm soft sand under your feet. In the morning you can go to the fish market, and some hotels even host cooking classes.

The western part of the peninsula is also known for its beaches for experienced surfers: Uluwatu, Dreamland, Padang-Padang. Even if you have never held a board in your hands, do not deny yourself the pleasure of visiting these places for the stunning landscape with rocks and a raging ocean. Here is located famous temple Uluwatu, on the territory of which monkeys frolic, and in the evenings they perform the traditional kechak dance.

There is a resort in the east of Bukit Nusa Dua, 30 minutes from the airport. Star hotels, most of which operate on an all-inclusive basis, sensitive staff and developed infrastructure make the resort a dream come true for an idyllic vacation. The sea here is calm, ideal for swimming, the main thing is to follow the tide schedule. Not far from Nusa Dua, on a hill, is the Garuda Vishnu Kechana Cultural Park. Inside you can see huge statues god Vishnu and the mythical bird Garuda and go to the performances arranged in the amphitheater every day.

Resort Tanjung Benoa located in the shadow of Nusa Dua, which does not beg his dignity. The place is conducive to a relaxing beach holiday and, at the same time, suitable for those wishing to join the culture. The sea is calm here, but do not forget about the tide schedule (you can always ask at the hotel). The place is unique in that it is here places of worship several confessions at once: Hindu, Buddhist, Christian temples and a mosque.

Ideal place for a relaxing family vacationSanur which is on the east coast of the island. The journey from the airport takes 30-40 minutes. The main advantage of the resort - clean beach with white sand and a length of about 7 kilometers. The area will appeal to families with children, newlyweds and the elderly. It is pleasant to walk around Sanur - the streets are paved with tiles, there are a lot of greenery and flowers around. You can start the morning with a jog along the road along the beach, watching the sacred ceremonies. Many hotels offer diving lessons and dive cruises to the most scenic spots.

If you want to explore the surroundings, observe the life of local residents, appreciate the beauty of temples and famous rice terraces, then Karangasem– a great opportunity to combine beach and cultural recreation. Here you can go snorkeling and scuba diving. The area is rich in attractions, this is the most high point islands - Gunung Agung volcano, and the main temple complex of Besakih and much more.

The north of the island is not very popular among Russian tourists, but in vain. The road from the airport will take about two to three hours. A place of complete peace and merging with nature. You can stay in a place called Lovina. Quiet volcanic beaches morning walks on a local boat in the sea to see dolphins, spas, inexpensive villas and bungalows - all this makes Lovina a pleasant vacation spot. There is also a dolphinarium here. You can just swim with dolphins or take a course of dolphin therapy.

In the center of the island, in its very heart, there is a town Ubud, the abode of artists and creators. The city, like suede, was created for leisurely walks, galleries and art boutiques beckon you to go inside. In the evening you can go to a dance performance, and in the afternoon in Art Museum. Ubud hotels overlook the green jungle, while restaurants overlook the rice fields. The whole atmosphere of the resort sets you up for relaxation, meditation and complete harmony of body and spirit. The road from the airport takes about an hour and depends on traffic.

Listen to your heart and discover your Bali!

The mere mention of Bali evokes thoughts of paradise. It is more than a place - it is a mood, an aspiration, a "tropical" state of mind. bali, famous Island Gods, is one of the most popular tourist destinations on the planet. It seems to have everything here: terraced rice fields, white sandy beaches, picturesque green hills, alluring thickets of the jungle, severe and majestic volcanoes, dense mangrove forests - stunningly beautiful places that take your breath away. All this, coupled with an abundance of luxury resorts, spas, a great wave for surfing, beautiful coral reefs, interesting sights and amazing local culture annually attracts about three million tourists to the island. It is warm here all year round (air and water temperature is 26-28 degrees), but it is worth considering that it rains from December to March, and it is unlikely that you will be able to sunbathe. The flight to Bali is long - from 12 hours, a visa (up to 30 days) can be issued at the airport.

Bali - a mix of cultures and religions

Arguably the most enticing of Indonesia's islands, Bali is a unique fusion of cultures and religions. The main population is Hindu, but here you can also clearly feel Southeast Asia. Bali is like an eclectic mix that really sets it apart from neighboring islands. locals very friendly and smiling and it seems that they are not at all tired of the crowds of tourists. You can’t deny them a sense of humor, when they see a bald tourist, many will immediately wink slyly and say that the rain is canceled, they say, the head is clear as a clear sky.

The island, resembling a fish with its outlines, is quite small: 150 km from east to west and 80 km from south to north, which is very convenient, because. There is only one airport in Bali, and in terms of sightseeing, too. But it is large enough to maintain a calm atmosphere despite the colossal influx of tourists. Here everyone can find nook and relax in seclusion.

The geography of the island and the main resorts of Bali

South Bali is by far the most visited part of the island. Resorts such as Kuta, Bukit Peninsula, Sanur, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Kangu, Legian, Nusa Dua, Seminyak are all south.

Quiet beaches with black sand sparkling in the sun are typical for the northern part of the island. Lovina is interesting because in the morning dolphins swim close to the shore. The city of Singaraja is also located here - former capital Bali.

West Bali is Negara, Pemuteran, Gilimanuk and national reserve West Bali.

Calm coastal villages: Amed, Candidasa, Besakih, Kintamani, Padang Bai, the active Batur volcano with a lake at the foot and the highest Mount Agung on the island is the east of Bali.

Quiet offshore islands in the southeast are popular among diving enthusiasts.

A chain of mountains with volcanic peaks, some of which remain active, runs through the center of the island. WITH north side the ridge is a rather narrow lowland, and on south side stretched plain, which is the center of the culture of Bali. Lush valleys and hills with carved terraces - rice has been grown on them for centuries.

Ubud is the main cultural and tourist center of Bali.

It is these serene landscapes that surround Ubud - the main Cultural Center Bali. In numerous museums and galleries, you can trace the history of Bali, get acquainted with art and crafts. But to absorb a bit of local culture, you should see colorful performances with traditional music and dances.

In Ubud, you can find many ancient Hindu temples and watch the rituals being performed. There is an abundance of various art centers and workshops engaged in woodcarving, batik and other local crafts. It is most convenient to ride a bicycle through the narrow streets of the town, but you can also walk on foot, seeing the sights. Ubud is the heart of Bali, a place where the spirit and culture of the island become more understandable. Maybe that's why there are so many tourists here, even though before nearest beach almost an hour away. It will take at least a week to see at least some of the sights of Ubud and its environs: the sacred Monkey Forest, the Goa Gajah complex with unique cave, Tirta Empul, built on thermal springs, the ensemble of Yeh Pulu carved right into the rock, the tombs of Gunung Kawi, the Chapel of the Mother Goddess ...

Kuta is the surfer capital of Indonesia.

A completely different resort town of Kuta. It is noisy, bright, here during the day the beaches are filled with surfers who have chosen the local tides back in the distant 1960s and 70s, and after sunset it boils night life: many bars and nightclubs entertain the public almost until the morning. There are wide beaches with golden sand, luxury hotels, an unimaginable range of spa services, yoga is very popular, a lot of shops and souvenir shops. During the day, the public relaxes on the beach or in the Waterbom Park themed water park, and in the evenings admires the sunsets, which are magnificent in Kuta. People often come to this place to hold a wedding ceremony and Honeymoon– the atmosphere is conducive to it.

Gorgeous Nusa Dua - Balinese luxury

In the south of Bali there is the Bukit Peninsula, in the eastern part of which there is a closed area with a number of 4 * -5 * hotels, a walking area with boutiques, restaurants and bars, a golf course, a conference hall, and most importantly - a wonderful beach with light sand. All this splendor is called Nusa Dua. The resort is considered elite, the staff is well-trained, there are no annoying street and beach vendors, in general, this is a slightly different Bali - luxury & premium.

Family-friendly resorts

For family holidays, the calm and clear waters of Sanur and the well-protected beaches of Jimbaran are suitable. But surfers, along with Kuta, have chosen Seminyak. It should be borne in mind that the entire coast of the island, where it is more, and where it is less, is subject to high / low tides. You should not be afraid, because. Most hotels have posted timetables and natural phenomenon you quickly get used to it.

It's not surprising, given the island's volcanic nature, that black sand is the norm, but there are beaches to the south that have fine-grained white sand.

Attractions Bali

Bali's most famous attractions are its countless Hindu temples. Each village has the right to build and maintain at least three temples, but wealthy villages are not limited to this number.

At strategic points throughout Bali, there are nine main temples that are designed to protect the island and its inhabitants from dark forces. The most important for the Balinese is the Temple of the Mother (Besakih), located on the slopes of Mount Agung. Uluwatu Temple on the southern tip of the island is very popular.

Temples rarely match in design. Each decorative detail is strictly thought out and has an earthly or spiritual nature. There are also common elements that are unchanged for the vast majority of temples. This is, first of all, the division into three courtyards: Jaba (outer courtyard), Jaba Tenga (middle courtyard) and Jaroan (inner courtyard). Each of these courtyards contains individual structures and shrines of varying levels of importance.

Tiered pagodas covered with black palm fiber roofs are very elegant. The number of tiers must be odd.

To enter any temple, you should wear a sarong, which can be rented, but it is more convenient to buy and always carry it with you.

Natural attractions of Bali

All of Bali's mountains are volcanoes that are dormant, but some are still active. magnificent mountain Agung (3142 meters) dominates the East Bali landscape and has been quiet since 1963. Much more active is the Batur volcano, constantly smoldering and periodically producing emissions. You can climb it in a couple of hours - this is one of the most accessible active volcanoes throughout Indonesia.

Come to Bali and you will have a good rest!

Such is Bali: so small and so big, so noisy and so calm... so different... Here you can watch how the mahouts wash and train elephants and ride a gray giant; freeze from the stunning view from the top of the mountain and admire the sunset; spend the whole day on the beach and catch the best wave of your life; see a lot of new and interesting and just wonderful to relax.

P.S. Fans of holidays in Turkey on an all-inclusive system may be disappointed by the island. In general, those who have visited Bali are divided into those who fell in love with the island once and for all and those who understand that this place is not for them. But it's still worth coming here, otherwise how do you know ...

Find out which resorts in Bali are the best to relax! We talk about prices, beaches, infrastructure, waves, attractions and choose best places for a beach holiday.

Jimbaran

A small village where the local population earns mainly from fishing. One part of Jimbaran beach is occupied by fishing gear and boats. The other is coastal restaurants where you can try fresh seafood (they are considered the best in Bali), and expensive 5 * hotels. At the resort good places for diving and snorkeling, but only wealthy people can afford to rest here - the prices are high. You can safely swim in the southern part of the beach, protected by a cape.

Nusa Dua

Once there were mangroves here, now it is one of the best places where you can relax on the island of Bali. Nusa Dua has all the conditions for a relaxing holiday: luxury hotels, golf courses, tennis courts and bike paths.

Nusa Dua - the only resort Bali, where the beaches are closed to the locals, but its isolation does not allow you to get acquainted with the unique culture of the island. There are no sights in Nusa Dua - in fact, this is a street along which hotels, cafes and tour desks are located. If you arrived on a package tour and want only a beach holiday, then the resort will suit you. If you want to get acquainted with the culture of the island, it is better to choose another resort in Bali, for example, Ubud.

Housing and food prices in Nusa Dua are much higher than in other parts of the island.

Tanjung Benoa

This developing quiet resort, which arose on the site of a fishing village, is located next to Nusa Dua. It differs from its fashionable neighbor by the presence of 3-4 * hotels and loyal prices for holidays. Here beautiful beaches and international population. Different world religions coexist in Tanjung, which is confirmed by temples and mosques located next to each other.

During the day, vacationers ride on water skiing, go surfing, snorkeling and parachuting, dine in one of the restaurants in the evening. Loyal pricing policy attracts newlyweds and couples who crave solitude.

Sanur

This the oldest resort islands, and the developed infrastructure makes it one of the best places to relax in Bali: there are hotels of different price categories, cafes and shops, many well-groomed tropical gardens. Rest is cheaper than in the decent resort of Nusa Dua, but more expensive than in noisy Kuta. Most often, families with children rest here, as the coast is gentle, and active people - calm water favors snorkeling and diving. And cons - at low tide, the water goes very far.

Sanur has ancient temples, a museum of the artist Adrien de Merpres and big center entertainment with water slides and attractions. Bali's volcanoes and hot springs are easily accessible from Sanur, and there is an island with giant turtles not far from the resort.

Ubud

Ubud is cultural capital islands and the best place for those who are eager to get acquainted with the customs and traditions of Bali. The city is located among rainforest in the highlands of Bali. There are no beaches, nightclubs and bars here, but there are many temples, souvenir shops and restaurants. Accommodation prices are affordable for any tourist.

The city has many museums, craft workshops and art galleries where international exhibitions are held periodically. You can regularly see performances with Balinese dances and musical concerts.

In the shops you can buy handmade souvenirs. This city is remote from the coast, but has excellent location for walking tours and cycling. Picturesque landscapes of the surroundings - rice terraces, green hills, tropical forests and rivers. Not far from Ubud is the famous Monkey Forest.

Where is the best place to stay in Bali? When choosing a hotel, we recommend using the Roomguru housing price comparison service. He will select the most profitable options among the many booking systems.

The best beaches in Bali for swimming

Bali features are standing waves. They are found in most places, making swimming difficult. The exception is the relatively calm Nusa Dua beaches and Sanur, but they also have their drawback - the ebbs and flows, because of which vacationers have to stick to the schedule. When the ocean recedes, algae and other debris remain on the sand, and the water level is knee-deep. When choosing a place where you will relax in Bali, pay attention to the beach and read the reviews of tourists.

  • In Sanur the beaches are wide and long, with shallow water off the coast. To swim an adult, you need to move a few tens of meters, but children can swim perfectly.
  • Beach Tanjung Benoa spacious and clean, with fine white sand, but the same problem with low tide as in Nusa Dua.
  • Fabulous sand beach can be found in Bali in Jimbaran. It is located in a small bay, shallow near the shore, the water is quite clean and calm, which makes it safe for children to swim.
  • Good for swimming in Bali beach Padang-Padang. It's crystal clear here pure water, there are almost no strong waves near the coast. Surfers always go further away to ride, so you don't have to worry about sudden board blows.
  • Enough unusual beach Pandava- perfectly clean with white sand and calm water. On the outskirts of it there are several caves where you can take pictures, and cafes stretch along the beach, you can also rent a kayak or lie on a sun lounger.
  • glamorous beach Dreamland- one of the few bounty beaches in Bali. It is quite popular among tourists, but the waves here are high, and not everyone can swim.

The best beaches in Bali for surfing

The vast majority of Bali's surf spots are located in the south of the island within a radius of several kilometers from Kuta. In the dry season, there is always the right wave here, so safe swimming is possible only in the evening, when the waves subside, and most of the athletes migrate to drinking establishments. On Bali beaches like Legian and Seminyak, there are fewer surfers, but strong waves do little to encourage swimming. The waves are even higher in Canggu and Uluwatu. These beaches are popular with experienced surfers.

In conclusion, it is worth noting that each resort and beach of the island is beautiful in its own way, and only after visiting all its corners, you can determine for yourself where it is best to relax in Bali.
