Pereslavl-Zalessky, Russia - “Where to go with a child on the weekend? For example, in Pereslavl-Zalessky. The best route to interesting places. Pereslavl-Zalessky: what to see with children. Trip review

I think I know where the time machine lives. It is not very powerful, because it can take you only 40 years into the past, and 10 years into the future, and most likely it will break, it will not withstand the onslaught of progress, but so far it exists.

If you want to show your child a piece of the Soviet era, hurry up. A couple more years will pass and spiritual power and civilization will come to the Pereslavl-Zalessky Kremlin, and with them the echoes of the Soviet era will go away.

And on this moment The Kremlin is a functioning state museum. Nothing has really changed in it over the past three decades.

Shabby walls, neglected territory, apples underfoot… No, don’t think, I believe in God, I love order and flowerbeds, but, for example, what the Trinity-Sergius Lavra turned into after the arrival of the clergy is more like a grotesque, a tribute to the fashion for religion - the territory has become more well-groomed, the buildings are better monitored (do not keep up with the usual funding issues state museum with modest subsidies for much more powerful church structures), but ...

In general, I was pleased to wander around the Pereslavl-Zalessky Kremlin, think about the eternal, admire the panorama of the city from the loopholes, listen to my husband’s memories of my childhood visits to Lake Pleshcheyevo, watch a child stroke an affectionate pregnant cat, pick apples from a branch broken off from the weight of the harvest in the backyards…

Oh dear...

The Yaroslavl mayor was imprisoned. And apparently, Pereslavl-Zalessky is waiting for great changes. The project for the construction of McDonald's in the city has already been approved, the first Dixy chain has appeared, and the construction of a giant shopping center on main street… I think we won't recognize the city in 10 years.

In Pereslavl, the roads are terrible, it feels like the Germans have already removed the asphalt. But there is one plus - you can drive almost everywhere, there are no signs prohibiting entry even to Red Square. We traveled all over the city center in search of a playground.

We found it with difficulty - we had to ask for help from the local population.

It showed up, and two at once - as a visual confirmation of my theory about the time machine. Two epochs, side by side, through the fence - a site of the 70s (probably) and a new "elite", behind the fence of the house of the "new Pereslavl". Just in case, I share information - the nearest playground to the center is behind house 7 on Konnaya Street (it is not visible from the road).

Pereslavl contrast - a rickety barrack of the 20s with tulle curtains and geraniums on the windows (people still live there!) And the newest european hotel, food stalls from the 90s (still working!) and a chain supermarket - this will accompany you everywhere.

You will be able to live in comfort and buy high-quality alcohol for the evening without health risks, but at the same time touch our not so distant past, which for some Pereslavl residents is still the present.

Pereslavl-Zalessky is one of the most oldest cities on the territory of Russia, which is the pearl of the Golden Ring. The date of foundation is considered to be 1152.

Pereslavl-Zalessky: attractions, photos and descriptions of which can be found below, are Cultural Center, a reserve filled with big amount interesting places for every tourist with their own history.

Pereslavl-Zalessky - sights, photos and names

This is a small town in terms of the number of inhabitants, which is distinguished by a large number of sights and buildings of distant antiquity.

It is worth noting: No wonder Pereslavl-Zalessky is considered a tourist center, and the number of tourists coming here exceeds the number of indigenous people by 10 times.

If the number of registered residents approaches 40 thousand people, then the number of officially recorded tourists exceeds 400 thousand people every year.

What sights are famous for Pereslavl-Zalessky:

    1. In the first place will be the Kremlin. It is a mistake to believe that the Kremlin is an exclusively Moscow invention. At the time when there was Ancient Rus', every major center had its own kremlin, designating the city fortress, created to protect the city from the raids of enemy invaders.

the Kremlin was geographical center settlements around which districts were built in the future. A similar situation is observed in Pereslavl-Zalessky, whose Kremlin, founded by Yuri Dolgoruky, is considered historical center regional center. The time of the foundation of the fortress is the 7th century.

This is interesting: A feature of this fortress, in contrast to similar structures in Suzdal or Yaroslavl, is a long earthen rampart, which rises 8 meters in height and surrounds the main buildings of the Kremlin. It has a total length of over 2.5 kilometers.

On the territory of the Kremlin, whose area is more than 5 square kilometers, the main Orthodox churches are located, in particular the Transfiguration Cathedral, erected on the alleged birthplace of Alexander Nevsky.

The Kremlin can "boast" of its own Red Square, called "red" by the ancient meaning of the word - beautiful. In fact, everyone who visits this place will notice the grandeur of the Kremlin walls, the snow-white shade of the temple complexes and will be able to feel the breath of antiquity.

Worth considering: address this complex are several streets at once: Gross Ring, Sovetskaya, Sadovaya, Proyezdnaya and directly Red Square.

    1. Blue stone on Lake Pleshcheyevo. A place that you should definitely visit when visiting the city is the Blue Stone, located on the shores of Lake Pleshcheyevo. It is notable for the unique boulder lying on the shore. ancient lake. The total weight of the boulder is 12 tons. His distinctive feature serves as a clear blue tint, which becomes especially noticeable after rain.

According to legend, this stone has healing properties and is able to get rid of many ailments, for example, female infertility. To achieve the effect, according to legend, you just need to sit on a stone, and all problems will remain in the past. The boulder is 3 meters long and approximately 2.6 meters wide.

In ancient times, they repeatedly tried to completely bury the stone, but it invariably turned out to be on the surface and towered more than one human height. Modern stone protrudes above the soil surface only to the height of the knee joint of an adult, while every year the stone sinks several centimeters deep into the soil.

Note: Orthodox priests protect against trips to the stone, since it is believed that ancient unclean forces lurk in it.

The first to discover this amazing stone, which is based on biotite schist, were the Finns. They were the first to worship the boulder. Initially, the stone lay on the top of the Alexander Hill, but at the insistence of the church it was thrown off it.

Blue stone on Lake Pleshcheyevo - how to get to this attraction: you need to leave the city in the direction of Nikitskaya Sloboda, cross the latter and proceed further to the Gorodische, located on the shores of the lake. The village of Kriushino can become a landmark;

    1. In the vicinity of the city, on the Trubezh River, the future Emperor Peter I conducted exercises of his amusing flotilla, which consisted of several dozen ships of various sizes. The boat of Peter I is the only ship of that "fake" fleet that has survived to this day. The age of this boat is more than 300 years, but it has practically not undergone rotting or other age-related changes, which is explained by the special storage conditions.

The banks of the Trubezh River and Pleshcheyevo Lake were a training ground for training battles between ships. This choice was due to the fact that the lake was the last large body of water on the way to Arkhangelsk and the North Sea. Arriving in Pereslavl-Zalessky, visit the Boat of Peter I in the village of Veskovo. The museum is open all year round, so you can come here even in winter;

    1. Berendey's house. A museum created to commemorate the fairy-tale king Berendey, whose existence is not scientifically proven, but at the same time he serves as the hero of legends. The old log cabin, which has a fabulous design, is located in the center of the city, on Uritsky Street, where each arrival is greeted according to the old custom - bread and salt.

The house becomes most popular during ancient Russian holidays, such as Shrovetide, honey spas, various covers, and others. At this time, it is almost impossible to get into the house due to the large number of people, so it is best to book places in advance.

Note: the cost of visiting this cultural monument will cost 200 rubles, while more than 20 various programs, allowing you to get acquainted with the customs of the Russian people.

We presented the sights of Pereslavl-Zalessky with addresses, photos and descriptions. This unique city, which has preserved the charm of antiquity and offers every tourist who has crossed the city border to immerse himself in history.

I have been to Pereslav-Zalessky more than once. IN last time we came to the Movement festival, but since the weather was bad, we decided to see the city itself, as well as look into a couple of museums and an arboretum.

It is better to go to Pereslavl for a couple of days, or at least for a day, especially if you are going not from Moscow, but from a more distant city. Otherwise, without an overnight stay it will be hard to do everything. Here is my post for you good rating and reviews, among which I chose where to stay. And chose in my mind one of the best options in the city.

For those who want to save time preparing for the trip and immerse themselves more fully in the atmosphere and history of the city, I would recommend using the services of a private guide in Pereslavl-Zalessky. In my opinion individual excursions much more interesting organized excursions with their large number of people and hackneyed program. Moreover, with a private guide, you can always agree on a convenient time and day for you.

What to see in Pereslavl on your own

Boat of Peter I

Museum-Estate "Botik of Peter I" is located in the village of Veskovo, on Mount Gremyach, 4 km from Pereslavl-Zalessky. The main exhibit of the museum and one of the symbols of Pereslavl-Zalessky is the boat "Fortuna", the only one of the entire amusing flotilla of Peter I that has survived to this day. The first museum in this place was founded in 1803, later the Vladimir nobility bought the Veskovskoye estate into public ownership, and in 1850 the Grand Dukes Nikolai and Mikhail Romanovs laid a monument to Peter I next to the place where the boat was kept. Then, on a hill with beautiful view a rotunda was built on the lake, Triumphal Arch and the White Palace. In 1913 Nicholas II visited the museum-estate. By his arrival, a belvedere and a pier were built on the shore of Lake Pleshcheyevo, opposite Gremyach Hill. Now the estate looks a little run down. It will be more interesting to walk around the territory of the museum-estate as part of an excursion. Entrance ticket to the boat costs 50 rubles, to the park - 20 rubles.

blue stone

"Blue", or rather dark gray, a large boulder is located on the shores of Lake Pleshcheyevo, a few kilometers from Pereslavl-Zalessky. A beautiful panoramic view of the lake opens from the Sin-stone. Now this is the territory of the architectural monument "Kleshchinsky Complex", and a fee of 50 rubles is charged for the passage to the stone. According to scientists, the Blue Stone is gradually sinking into the ground. Traditions say that the stone has miraculous properties. If you stand on it, you can be healed of various diseases, including infertility. People, as in pagan times, hoping for the fulfillment of their cherished desire, bring offerings to the magic stone - flowers, coins, ribbons. locals, for their part, they also try: next to the stone there is not only a cash desk, but also souvenir shops where you can buy, for example, a ribbon and tie it right there, in a specially designated place, so that the wish comes true as soon as possible. But it looks like an ordinary stone to me.

Very close at 300 meters is Alexandrova Gora, it is easy to find, marked with a wooden cross. From there, the views are much better than from the stone.

Nikitsky monastery located on the northern outskirts of the city, next to Lake Pleshcheevo. This is the most ancient monastery Pereslavl-Zalessky. Historians say that it was founded around 1010. The monastery became famous thanks to the name of the Pereslavl saint - Nikita the Stylite. At present, relics and iron chains are kept in his monastery. All the ancient monastery buildings were wooden and have not survived to this day. The heyday of the monastery fell on the years of the reign of Tsar Ivan the Terrible. By his order, new buildings and walls with towers began to be erected. After Soviet years of oblivion, the monastery was reopened in 1993. Now it is a functioning male monastery. The territory of the monastery is clean and well-groomed, there is a spring with a font. Delicious monastery kvass is sold in the refectory, and smoked vendace from Lake Pleshcheyevo and delicious monastery pastries are sold in the shop at the monastery.

Russian park

As conceived by the creators, the Russian Park should become a place where samples of Russian life and culture will be collected, a place family vacation where adults and children can get acquainted with the multifaceted and original culture of Russia. In the park you can see wooden houses with interior painting, the museum "Russian fashion, style and atmosphere of the XIX century", the museum of Russian fun "Petrushka". In addition to museums, in the park you can walk along the alleys of Russian architecture, fonts and paintings. There are also museums where you can taste kvass and Russian tea. The Ryapushka tavern serves traditional Russian cuisine cooked in a real Russian oven. In total, there are 7 museums in the park, and many different sites. For 200 rubles you can take a picture in a costume of the 18-19th century, and for children there is a playroom, a contact mini-zoo, horseback riding and ponies. From Wednesday to Sunday, a theatrical historical performance "The Mounting of Prince Alexander Nevsky on a horse" is held on the territory of the complex. According to the reviews, not everything has been completed in the park yet, so the project looks “raw”.

The Iron Museum is located in the center of Pereslavl-Zalessky, next to the Transfiguration Cathedral. The museum building is a former merchant's mansion, which was purchased and restored by businessman Andrei Vorobyov. In 2002, a museum was opened here. On the ground floor of the building there is a souvenir shop, where various items on the theme of an iron or even one of the old items are presented. The second floor is occupied by a collection of irons, numbering about 200 pieces. True, they have nothing to do with the history of Pereslavl-Zalessky. There is also a small exposition of objects of urban and rural life. A guided tour of the museum is included in the ticket price. Thanks to the involvement of visitors in the process, the light and casual manner of presentation, the short 10-minute tour is easily perceived and leaves a pleasant impression of the museum. Several times a year, the museum hosts the Iron Festival, during which visitors can experience any iron in action. .

The museum occupies one not very large room with a map of Pereslavl-Zalessky on the floor. Previously, the same exposition was called the Museum of Crafts. During the tour, you can see the items of peasant life (furniture, utensils, tools), tools and devices of folk crafts, find out how apples were peeled or clothes were washed, how felt boots were made or bones were removed from cherries. The guide briefly talks about the main exhibits and their purpose. The price of a ticket to the museum is 100 rubles, the tour is included in the price.

Teapot Museum

The colorful wooden house of the Teapot Museum is located in the village of Veskovo, not far from the shore of Lake Pleshcheyevo. The museum is private, founded in 2003 by entrepreneurs Andrei Vorobyov (he also founded the Iron Museum) and Dmitry Nikishkin. The museum's collection contains many copper, porcelain and other teapots of various shapes and sizes, as well as old household utensils and everything that accompanied tea drinking, from sugar bowls to candy boxes. The lovingly restored Russian stove and immersion in the world of Russian tea drinking traditions make the atmosphere of the museum warm and inviting. Thanks to interesting and exciting excursion, the museum becomes almost interactive and charges you with a good mood for the whole day. It will be interesting for both adults and children. The cost of an adult ticket is 120 rubles.

money museum

The Museum of Money is located near the shore of Lake Pleshcheyevo, in the village of Veskovo, opposite the Museum of the Teapot. It opened in early 2010 and is located in a new brick mansion. The exposition was created by the owner of the museum, entrepreneur Alexander Altunin, based on his personal collection, which he collected over several decades. The entrance ticket, which includes a guided tour, costs 100 rubles. Coins in the museum Ancient Greece, Byzantium, Medieval Europe, pre-Petrine Rus', tsarist Russia, as well as coins, banknotes and securities of the 20th century. At the entrance to the museum is a small collection of Soviet toys. In the museum, you can not only see old coins, but also touch some of them, as well as buy your favorite coin from the souvenir shop.

Radio Museum

The Radio Museum is located directly opposite the Goritsky Assumption Monastery, in a new two-story brick mansion, which was built by entrepreneur Gennady Semenov for his personal collection of various radio devices, which served as the basis museum exposition. The museum opened in 2013. The entrance ticket costs 150 rubles. The permanent exhibition of the museum introduces tube radios of the middle of the 20th century, both Soviet and foreign. You can also see workplace radio mechanics, cinema equipment, the first tape recorders and televisions of the USSR. All radio devices are in working order, so visitors have the opportunity to travel back in time with their help, hearing the long-forgotten sounds of the old radio.

Arboretum (arboretum)

Pereslavl Dendrological Garden named after S.F. Kharitonov - this is the full name of this rather large and quiet park in the city. The garden has playgrounds, shady alleys, wooden sculptures of fabulous animals. The garden is beautiful both in spring and in summer and autumn, you can always find flowering plants or berries. Both adults and children will be pleased to take a walk here, look at the diversity of the flora of different climatic zones of Russia. It is more interesting to do this, of course, with a guide who can tell in detail about each specimen and its features. .

Our walk around Pereslavl-Zalessky

The city is very small and most it takes private sector, you will not see high-rise buildings and skyscrapers here. Population 40 thousand people, located 140 km from Moscow, part of Golden ring. According to Wikipedia, the city is visited by about 300 thousand people a year. Perhaps that is why the prices here are touristic.

We did not set out to go around the whole city, especially since the weather was windy, cold, and we were dressed in summer. The city did not make any special impressions, everything is typical for small town: shabby houses, bad roads, desolation. In my opinion, it is worth going here primarily for nature, one Lake Pleshcheyevo, which is worth it. But there are enough tourist attractions, however, they are of a local type. So there is something to see in a couple of days. I will list below.

The pink elephant is somehow completely out of place

Excursion with children to Pereslavl - informative, exciting, environmentally friendly!

Do you want to surprise a child, show him a fairy tale and provide a lot of impressions? Then why not in one of the warm summer days, which are about to come, not to leave the stuffy city somewhere closer to nature for three days, or maybe for a week? 120 kilometers from Moscow Yaroslavl highway worth wonderful ancient Russian city Pereslavl-Zalessky. It rightfully occupies a worthy place among the cities of the Golden Ring of Russia. And once having been here, neither you nor your child will ever forget this wonderful trip!! And this journey will not be tedious: it is not so far to go to Pereslavl. Of course, it is better to travel by car in order to see and visit as many monuments and sights as possible, which are located at a considerable distance from each other.

You can get to Pereslavl-Zalessky by bus from Moscow, from the bus station on Schelkovskaya, a ticket costs about 200 rubles, it takes about 2 and a half hours. Buses run almost every hour.

A bit of history
Before you go with your child on this magical journey into the past, you can and probably should tell your child about the history of Pereslavl-Zalessky. It will be much more interesting for you to travel to historical places, of which there are a lot in the city, knowing about them in advance. When traveling around such cities as Pereslavl-Zalessky, it is worth developing a route in advance, let your child take part in this - and then positive emotions from travel will be even more.

So, the city of Pereslavl-Zalessky was formed back in 1152 by Prince Yuri Dolgoruky. Pereslavl-Zalessky is located along the shore of Lake Pleshcheyevo, which is one of the sights of the city. Other sights are easy to guess, knowing that the city is part of the Golden Ring. These are, of course, monasteries, churches and cathedrals.

Ancient Pereslavl surrounded by a ring of earthen ramparts 10-16 m high, reaching up to 2.5 km in circumference. A powerful Transfiguration Cathedral was erected inside the rampart ring - a white-stone church that served as the spiritual and military-political center of princely power. This is clear from his position inside the fortress and the details of the architectural arrangement.

The Principality of Pereslavl reached its peak during the reign of Vsevolod the Big Nest and his son Yaroslav. The city became one of the significant centers of culture of Vladimir-Suzdal Rus. The youngest son of Yaroslav, the famous commander Alexander Nevsky, was born, brought up and reigned on Pereslavl land.

However, the fate of Pereslavl-Zalessky is as brilliant as it is tragic: he did not escape the hard fate of many Russian cities. Over the course of only a few decades, Pereslavl-Zalessky was repeatedly ruined by both the Tatar-Mongolian troops and their own brother princes, who wanted to solely own one of the most important political and economic centers of Rus'.

The misfortunes that befell the city left it only after the death of Dmitry Alexandrovich, the son of Alexander Nevsky, who transferred the Principality of Pereslavl to Moscow Prince Daniel. Since the 15th century, Pereslavl-Zalessky has been developing as a significant craft and shopping mall, remaining very attractive to the grand-ducal family.

Small town, big trip

And now the almost three-hour trip is over and you have reached your destination. The first question is where to stay. Fortunately, in Lately Pereslavl is developing quite rapidly as tourist centre, therefore, the choice of hotels, motels or even cottages in Pereslavl is impressive here. It all depends on you: whether you want to live in the city center, or outside the city, in a small hotel or a separate house. And the prices will pleasantly surprise you. There are a lot of amazing things here. Also, there should be no problems with food: the city has a choice of cafes and restaurants, which will not only offer you a variety of cuisine and specialties, but will not forget about your child. Many establishments have children's menu and some host special children's theatrical performances.

And after you have decided on the place of residence, rested and refreshed, you can go to explore the city. It is unlikely that one day will be enough to slowly go around the most interesting sights, visit Lake Pleshcheyevo and Berendey's house, ride a trolley and wonder how gray this Blue Stone really is. Despite the fact that Pereslavl-Zalessky itself is a small city, there are a lot of places worth visiting. First of all, with children you can go to Victory Park and have fun there. You can rent a bike or go kart. And if the weather permits, you can go to the City Beach, which is also a recreation park with all the inherent attributes: boat and catamaran rentals, and the kids will be happy with inflatable castle trampolines. For older children, horseback riding is offered. Pereslavl and its environs are very beautiful, here you can breathe plenty of fresh air and eat berries straight from the bush, sometimes without even leaving your car.

Miraculously, nature here merges with the city, which can sometimes seem like a pretty village. Only modern microdistricts and enterprises speak of the presence of civilization.

Pearl of Zalesye - Lake Pleshcheyevo
"Pleshcheyevo Lake" is a National Park, which is located on the territory of the Pereslavl municipal district Yaroslavl region. Lake Pleshcheyevo attracts a lot of tourists: windsurfers from Moscow and the Moscow region train here, because the lake is shallow, and in case of an unsuccessful fall, the surfer will be able to walk to the shore on foot. And parents also really like Lake Pleshcheyevo with its “shallowness” along the shore. Since it is shallow, it means warm, and this is what our children need: splashing and learning to swim at such a depth is not at all scary.

Unusual places of Pereslavl-Zalessky
A few kilometers from Pereslavl-Zalessky on the shore of Lake Pleshcheyevo (now this place is called architectural monument"Kleshchinsky complex") lies a huge boulder called the "Blue Stone". It is currently blue-gray in color and sinks very slowly into the ground. They say that at sunset it is still blue in the rays of the sun. The glory of the miraculous has long been attached to him. According to local old-timers, being on a boulder heals people from many diseases, and women, moreover, from infertility! And they say that the stone grants wishes. Two trees grow nearby, densely tied with ribbons of tourists, eager for the fulfillment of desires. Legend has it that this huge stone once served as a place of worship for pagans. And after the Baptism of Rus' and the establishment of Christianity, it was decided to drown this stone in the lake. And after many years, again, according to legend, he climbed ashore again. And now this stone continues to move, now plunging into the ground, then again showing up on the surface. Not far from the Blue Stone there is a huge bulk hill called Alexandrova Gora in honor of Alexander Nevsky. In the old days it was called Yarilina baldness in honor of the pagan god of the Sun.

Another interesting place in the city is the Arboretum (Pereslavl Dendrological Garden named after S.F. Kharitonov) This national park, spread over an area of 58 hectares, surprises with the magnificence of various trees and shrubs. China, Japan, North America and Europe, Crimea and the Caucasus, Siberia - all the diversity of the plant world will open before you. It is better to travel around the dendro garden with a guide who will tell you not only about the collections, but also about funny stories from the life of plants, for example, that you can weave boots from pine...
