Phan Thiet Vietnam how much to drive from the airport. Entertainment - where is more fun? Trains Nha Trang - Phan Thiet

It would seem, what's the difference - Nha Trang or Phan Thiet? These Vietnamese resorts are located not so far from each other and are equally loved by Russian tourists (that is, there will be no salvation from compatriots either there or there). But still, reading the reviews, one can come to the conclusion that between these cities is not two hundred and twenty-five kilometers, but about a thousand. And even in terms of climate, these resorts are not similar to each other. Nha Trang is often referred to as Central but is guaranteed to belong to the southern part of the country. It can be said that settlements lie in different climatic zones. Therefore, the notorious "rainy season", which tour operators so frighten vacationers, comes to these cities at different times. In our article, we will try to compare two popular resorts in Vietnam - and not only in terms of weather conditions. We will analyze the tourist infrastructure, beaches, hotel offers.

Best season in Central Vietnam

In what month should you go to the resorts of Nha Trang or Phan Thiet - July, September or even in winter? And is there a difference in weather between these cities? It turns out that the distance of two hundred and thirty kilometers is very important and plays a big role - especially in some months. In principle, Central Vietnam, which Nha Trang belongs to, is comfortable for beach holiday all year round except November and December. But it is worth driving a hundred or two kilometers to the south, as there is no trace of the monsoon action - a clear sky, a calm sea ... The Phan Thiet resort lies in the north of the subequatorial zone. Therefore, its climate can be compared with the weather conditions in the famous rainy season here falls on the summer months. More precisely, the showers begin already in May and continue until September, slowly subsiding in October. If you are wondering what to choose - Nha Trang or Phan Thiet - in November, stop your eyes on the latter - your vacation here will be more comfortable. But in the summer months, on the contrary, the northern direction should be preferred.

Best time to go to Nha Trang and Phan Thiet

Of course there are seasons when weather the two cities are very similar. In Nha Trang in the second half of January it already begins tourist season, although the resorts of North Vietnam are still quite cool and rainy. And on the beach area of Phan Thiet Mui Ne, it is already in full swing. The air temperature in both resorts is approximately the same - about 30 o C. The sea is also very warm and calm everywhere. And this grace continues until the end of April. But in May, more southerly Phan Thiet is approaching rains. At first they go for an hour or two, and even then at night. But then the rainy season comes into its own, leaving the southern coast of Vietnam by mid-autumn. When choosing Nha Trang or Phan Thiet in August, give preference to the first. Two hundred kilometers to the north dry tropical climate which is very conducive to a beach holiday. But there is a season during which the weather is not very good at both resorts. The choice between these cities (Nha Trang or Phan Thiet?) in September will be meaningless. At the first resort, it is already starting to rain, and at the second, the wet season has not yet ended.

Specificity of Nha Trang

It's pretty Big City. It stands on the seashore, it has a beautiful promenade and extensive municipal beaches. By the way, quite clean and equipped. But at the same time, Vietnamese exoticism will haunt you from morning to evening. The city has many hotels and entertainment. What to choose, Nha Trang? Phan Thiet? Comparing both cities, Russian tourists say that more northern resort something similar to native Sochi. Yes, it is trendy, there is a lot of glamor and glitz here. But there is no such relaxation and a sense of relaxation as in Mui Ne - the resort area of Phan Thiet. However, there are many attractions worth seeing. And in Phan Thiet tour agencies do not give such a choice. Experienced tourists recommend: if you are an inquisitive person, eager to join the Vietnamese exotic, feel the mentality of the people, and also want a vibrant evening life with entertainment, you should definitely choose Nha Trang.

The specifics of Phan Thiet

This city is smaller than its northern counterpart. In addition, it has no access to the sea and, accordingly, beaches. The whole resort life extends beyond the city limits, in the beach area called Mui Ne. Those who compared Nha Trang with Sochi draw parallels with Phan Thiet Arkhipo-Osipovka, Dzhankhot, Magri, Tuapse or other tiny villages on the Black Sea coast. Not for the climate, of course. As for the relaxing atmosphere. It's quiet and calm here. Stretched for many kilometers flawless beaches. If you are going to Vietnam with a child and are wondering where is better (Nha Trang? Phan Thiet?), then, of course, you should choose the resort area of Mui Ne. Young and active tourists may find it boring here. The entire entertainment infrastructure is concentrated in hotels. But here it is not a problem to find a suitable hotel on the first line - Mui Ne stretches in a narrow strip along the sea.

Beaches

Nha Trang offers a wide range of coasts. There are also municipal beaches, and those areas that belong to the hotels of the first line. But do not forget that the whole city bathes in Nha Trang Bay. Therefore, it is not worth demanding sterile cleanliness from its beaches, although they are tirelessly and constantly cleaned. In the resort area of Mui Ne, which is five kilometers from Phan Thiet, the coast is cleaner. But to call it ideal, in the style of "Bounty", is also impossible. There are enough beach activities in both resorts. The specifics of Mui Ne should also include the fact that there are a lot of Russian tourists here. There are as many of them here as there are representatives of all other nationalities combined. This leaves a certain imprint on a beach holiday in Mui Ne. In addition, the ten-kilometer zone of the resort is very heterogeneous. Fine sand can suddenly be replaced by a dull concrete platform on the cape. Therefore, choosing Phan Thiet for a holiday, you should carefully study the offers of hotels.

Entertainment: Nha Trang or Phan Thiet?

Water sports enthusiasts see a huge difference between the two resorts. Mui Ne has a special wind rose. This makes the resort a Mecca for kiters, windsurfers and those who want to ride the crest of the wave, standing on the board. But this circumstance makes snorkeling and diving impossible. Waves over the sandy bottom make the water cloudy in any season. In Nha Trang, despite the fact that you have to be content with city beaches, the sea is more transparent, with better visibility. And other entertainment big city great multitude. One of the main attractions is the island of Hong Che with the incomparable water park "Winpearl Land". But Phan Thiet cannot boast of such an infrastructure. If you are not an athlete, then the only entertainment on the water will be a banana ride. And in the evening, all that awaits you is a dignified trip to a restaurant. Discos and nightclubs are only at hotels.

Hotels

If you are not a "package" tourist, then the search for housing should be approached responsibly. Question: "Nha Trang or Phan Thiet?" for an independent tourist is an edge. The specificity of Vietnamese hotels is that, unlike in Egypt and Turkey, "all inclusive" is not practiced here. The lion's share of hotels offers breakfast only. It is rare to find half board. The All Inclusive food program in the region is only in one very expensive hotel, which is located on the territory of the Vinpearl Land amusement park in Nha Trang. However, if you focus on budget holiday, then it is better to choose a more northern resort. Nha Trang is still a city, and there are more hotels there. Moreover, as experienced travelers assure in their reviews, you can find a three-star hotel with excellent service, location and services. Phan Thiet is completed thanks to the "package" tourists mainly from Russia.

Excursions from Nha Trang and Phan Thiet

As noted above, Mui Ne is a ten-kilometer beach on which hotels are built. You can live two weeks in the resort area of Phan Thiet and not see a single Vietnamese (except for the hotel staff). But you will be surrounded by a crowd of compatriots. Someone likes it - there is no language barrier. But if you want a relaxing holiday, should settle in more expensive hotels. If you are an ardent fan of excursions, then the question is: “What to choose - Nha Trang or Phan Thiet?” not worth it for you at all. Of course, the first resort! Nha Trang has everything: museums, Buddhist temples, Exotic Vietnamese Markets. And also islands, waterfalls, mineral thermal springs and much, much more. And from the sights of Phan Thiet, one can only mention the Cham Towers, which are located between the city and Mui Ne.

Summary

Suppose we are planning a trip to Vietnam for the period from January to April, when both resorts are in the dry season. So what do you choose - Phan Thiet or Nha Trang? Reviews of tourists urge you to first decide what the word "vacation" means to you. If you are so tired at work that you dream of spending your entire holiday in Vietnam lying down starfish on the beach, sometimes plunging into the sea, then you definitely need Phan Thiet. But if you want to taste Vietnamese exotics, go on excursions, and not just cool off in the sea, but watch the fish, then you need Nha Trang. For evening (and daytime too) entertainment, again, you should go to the northern resort.

Starting to leaf through tourist brochures and choose a country and a resort for a holiday, it is very often difficult to give preference to a certain direction, since in most cases the places you are considering are only slightly different from each other and offer the most Better conditions for relax. Which of the resorts in Vietnam to go?

But perhaps the general thing that should be said about each of the resort cities is what you can bring from souvenirs as a gift to relatives, friends or acquaintances. After all, this guest tourist set is available at all resorts in Vietnam, however, like all other types of goods.

Flight time and whether a visa is required

But if you decide to travel with children, it is best to ask in advance what direct flights to Nha Trang are, Phan Thiet, Mui Ne or Phuket and then plan your vacation. Also, for the child and yourself, buy tickets only in business class, although they will cost a little more. There will be no problems with a visa, since you can enter Thailand for 30 days without a visa, and Vietnam for 15 days.

Holidays in winter: in December, in January and in February

At the beginning of winter at this time of year in Nha Trang, Phan Thiet and Mui Ne, the air temperature reaches +29?C ... +30?C. But this time is not the best for relaxing in these resorts. And here in Phuket the tourist season is just beginning, and this period is considered the best time to relax. The weather is excellent and the air temperature varies from +22?C to +34?C.

Tours to Phuket are quite inexpensive and living conditions are much better than in Pattaya, which is popular among Russians. The beaches here are cleaner and the tourist infrastructure offers the best conditions for families with children.

The beaches of the Andaman Sea in Phuket are slightly different from each other and therefore the following are best suited for a family holiday:

  • Bang Tao is the most comfortable and luxurious beach on the island, where the best five-star hotels and the famous hotel Laguna Phuket. Hotels have on their territory many bars and restaurants, spas, fitness centers and gyms, as well as golf courses. Everything for an elite holiday.
  • Patong also has excellent infrastructure and excellent three and four star hotels. Diving, surfing, windsurfing, yachting - all this for lovers active rest.
  • For families with children, it is best to choose Karon Beach, which is considered the cleanest on the island, as the relevant services monitor this here. Hotels from three to five stars offer the highest quality service and comfortable living conditions.
  • A secluded vacation with pristine nature awaits you on the beaches of Kamala Beach, Surin, Kata Beach, Nai Harn, Cape Panwa.

Excursion programs also a large number of both children and adults will be interested in visiting:

  • monkey garden,
  • snake farm,
  • pearl farm,
  • butterfly garden,
  • Aquarium in the national park
  • Fanta Sea amusement park, etc.

Rest in spring: in March, in April, in May

Great time to relax in Nha Trang: air temperature +30?C, water around +26?C. Rain is rare and the sea is quite calm. The tourist infrastructure is well developed here, and the beaches are located mainly within the city.

Also, Phan Thiet is very popular resort among Russians, but unlike the first, this city is of little interest as a beach holiday, since there are no beaches here. All main beach areas are located in Mui Ne, where everything is created for a comfortable tourist holiday. And if you decide to go to Vietnam with children, it is best to buy inexpensive advantageous tours in Mui Ne where you will find excellent comfortable hotels from two to five stars and clean white beaches. But in this case, it is best to choose hotels that are located right on the beach.

And if you want to get into Thai New Year and Easter, then go to Phuket in April. But tours must be booked in advance, as at this time many hotels are already filled to capacity.

Summer holidays: June, July and August

If you do not want to risk your vacation and get into the rainy season at the end of spring, then it is best not to purchase tours to Phuket for this period of time. It can rain for days on end and you will have to spend your entire holiday in a hotel room.

So, the resorts of Vietnam remain. In Nha Trang at this time there is practically no rain, and the air temperature reaches +30?C ... +33?C. The heat and rain don't quite help good rest. Seven kilometers of the cleanest beaches with small shells guarantee you a clean and transparent sea. It's much warmer and more comfortable here. On municipal beaches there is a rental of sunbeds and umbrellas and other equipment for outdoor activities. For holidays with children, it is best to choose four or five-star hotels such as: Que Huong and Yasaka, and the Evanson Ana Mandara & Six Senses Spa Nha Trang has its own beach area which is very convenient for parents with children.

As we have already said, Phan Thiet can only offer excursions and entertainment, and for a beach holiday, it is best to choose the Mui Ne area, which was specially created for guests of the region.

Holidays in autumn: in September, in October and in November

Surfers and windsurfers know that there is no better time to practice professional tricks and buy tours in Mui Ne. When it rains in Nha Trang, strong and extended waves rise here, which surfers love so much. But it is better to forget about holidays with children.

But in Phuket, the rainy season ends and even if there are tropical showers, they last no more than 15-20 minutes a day and end quickly. The air temperature is + 32? C ... + 35? C and until the high season begins until the end of October, you can buy inexpensive tours with accommodation in comfortable four and five star hotels.

Phan Thiet or Nha Trang, Mui Ne or Phuket, where is better

Summing up we can say with confidence that in Thailand and Vietnam you will find the most best holiday in any season. Prices for tours will be quite affordable. But when buying a ticket, you need to take into account that in the summer in Phuket you can expect a surprise in the form heavy rains. And when choosing the time of rest and resorts in Vietnam, you need to take into account that here the sea may not be conducive to recreation with children.

Nha Trang – Mui Ne – Phan Thiet

For many compatriots, Mui Ne and Phan Thiet are inseparable points, but there is a difference between them.

Phan Thiet is a city that vaguely resembles Nha Trang, but simpler (more boring). Mui Ne is a district of Phan Thiet,

which is located 6 km from Phan Thiet. Mui Ne is a kind of village with one main street where all the restaurants, shops and hotels are located.

Why do they go to Phan Thiet and Mui Ne, and not to Nha Trang? The answer lies in the fact that in Mui Ne, compared to Nha Trang,

there are hotels on the first line of the sea. As you know, in Nha Trang, the beach is across the street from almost all hotels in the city.

Mui Ne also attracts by the fact that there are excellent conditions for different types of surfing. That is, there are good winds and waves for this sport.

But there is also a minus for hotels on the first line. Due to strong waves, most hotels have a concrete fence.

Very often, the sea comes under the very edge of this concrete fence, which is why the beach is not visible at all, and you immediately go down into the sea from this concrete fence.

The most interesting things to see nearby are Ta Ku mountain, sand dunes.

You need to look not so much for transport directly to Mui Ne, but for buses and trains to Phan Thiet, one of the areas of which is the resort village of Mui Ne (the distance between them is about ten kilometers).

The distance between Nha Trang and Phan Thiet is not very large by Vietnamese standards and does not exceed 250 kilometers. The easiest, fastest, but at the same time the most expensive way to get there is a taxi. A one-way trip on such transport will cost about $ 120 (even if four people go, it will turn out to be a little expensive).

Buses are the most popular among tourists. Finding a direct bus from Nha Trang to Phan Thiet can be problematic, so it's best to pay attention to the buses that go to Ho Chi Minh, just make sure that the bus you choose calls at Phan Thiet. These buses usually leave in the morning. Usually the travel time is about 5-7 hours. The ticket price starts from 6-7 dollars per person one way.

Every day, two trains depart from Nha Trang to Phan Thiet (it is possible that their number will be increased in the near future). The first train leaves at half past eight in the morning, and the second around eight in the evening. The train ride takes about 4 hours, but the fare is slightly higher than the bus ride (the cost of a hard seat starts from $13-15). The train is not very convenient because Train Station located not directly in Phan Thiet, but 15 kilometers from the city, which will entail additional expenses by taxi. From the point of view of economy, buses are the most profitable mode of transport.

You can buy a ticket in Nha Trang to Phan Thiet or even Mui Ne not only at the box office of bus stations. You just need to go for a walk along the coast and there you will find a lot of local travel agencies (some of them even have Russian-speaking employees). These agencies sell not only excursions, but also bus tickets to different directions. You can go on a trip on two types of buses: Sleeping Bus - with lying places and Sitting Bus with seated places. There is no difference in ticket prices and travel time. It is better to buy tickets for the morning flight on a regular bus with seats. In this case, during the trip you will have a great opportunity to enjoy beautiful scenery opening outside the window. About 5-10% of five percent pass along the coast, but the rest of the time you can observe mountains, fields, temples, small local villages and other interesting places. It makes sense to choose a night sleeping Bus only if you decide to go to Mui Ne for one day and thus you can sleep on the way and save on housing.

Nha Trang and Phan Thiet- the most popular resorts in Vietnam. Both cities are located on the coast South China Sea and are famous for their beaches, developed infrastructure and good hotels. To choose where to go after all, you need to decide what you want to get from your vacation.

Nha Trang is noisy and dynamic modern city, in which life is constantly seething. Phan Thiet is more calm and measured, with a modest nightlife.

In the city itself, tourists have nothing to do at all, so they go to the resort village of Mui Ne, which is part of Phan Thiet.

Where are the best beaches?

The beaches are equally good in both resorts. It is rather difficult to call them ideal, since each has its own advantages and disadvantages.

The beach in Nha Trang is considered the best in the country. It is quite long and has a wide beach strip. Tourists are offered to rent umbrellas and sun loungers, but you can sunbathe on an ordinary towel, no one will kick you out of the beach.

There are many in the water water activities. There is no trash on the beach. In general, the state of the coastal strip is monitored and carefully cleaned. Locals often come to this beach, so in the late afternoon it is full of people. It is also worth noting quite high waves.

At some times of the year it is simply impossible to enter the sea. But even here you can find a way out of the situation: the Paragon Hotel is located not far from the city center. It is located in a bay, so there are practically no waves there. Entrance to the beach is free.

There are no beaches at all in Phan Thiet. All of them are located in tourist area Mui Ne. The beaches in Mui Ne are very different in terms of ease of entry into the sea and cleanliness. There is even an entry into the sea from a concrete platform. As a rule, locals on the beaches of Mui Ne are very rare.

The water in the sea looks quite muddy because of the sand, so diving or snorkeling is absolutely impossible here. According to tourists, the beaches are cleaned quite rarely, and strong winds bring rubbish to the beach.

In addition, fishing tackle is often found on non-hotel beaches, as the locals are engaged in fishing. But the beaches of Mui Ne are ideal for lovers of surfing and kiting.

Where is the best weather?

Despite the distance between the resorts of only 250 kilometers, the weather on them can differ dramatically. So one resort can have warm, dry weather, while the other will be blown by gusty winds and flooded with tropical rains.

However, closer to August, quite hot weather sets in at the resort, so young children and the elderly may be uncomfortable.

The high season in Phan Thiet lasts from January to April. At this time, the weather here is quite dry, and the sea is very warm. It is almost always windy in Mui Ne, so the sea is almost never calm. best time the autumn months are considered for surfing, when big waves rise in the sea.

Character of the area

Nha Trang and Phan Thiet, of course, have common features, but in general, these two resorts are significantly different from each other. Nha Trang is more suitable for young active tourists who want to see the most or enjoy the nightlife.

There are many discos, bars, restaurants and shops here. It's a bustling city where almost always something is being built. Phan Thiet is intended for lovers of a quiet holiday. This does not mean that there is absolutely nowhere to have fun. It's just that the atmosphere in the city itself is more relaxed.

Entertainment - where is more fun?

It is rather difficult to answer this question, since everyone has their own entertainment. Those who love surfing or kiting will enjoy where many fans of these sports from all over the world gather.

As for excursions and nightlife, you can find much more interesting things in Nha Trang than in Phan Thiet. Therefore, when choosing a resort, it is worth starting from the personal preferences of tourists.

Excursions

  • Dalat. One of the most interesting excursions from those offered on the tourist market. You can go to Dalat from both Nha Trang and Mui Ne. Dalat is a city located high in the mountains, surrounded by dense forests and clear lakes.

It amazes tourists with its special atmosphere, nature and architecture, so every tourist who comes to Vietnam must definitely visit Dalat. There are one-day and two-day excursions.

  • Vin Pearl. This is an amazing amusement park whole island. It will be very interesting for people of all ages. The island is located near Nha Trang, so tourists vacationing in this resort can easily get into the park on their own.

For those who stayed in Phan Thiet, a two-day excursion is provided.

  • Saigon (Ho Chi Minh). Go to this amazing city available from both resorts. Saigon is an economic and cultural capital Vietnam. There are a lot of interesting things here, so the two-day excursion is very rich.
  • Young Bay. This tour takes only half a day. You can go on a trip to the waterfalls only from Nha Trang. The park is located on a vast territory in the jungle. In addition to a beautiful waterfall, there is a crocodile farm here.

This is very beautiful place where you can take great photos or just enjoy great view walking barefoot along the creek.

Also from both resorts you can go on a boat trip, fishing, go to the islands. In addition, there are a huge number of diving centers in Nha Trang, where experienced instructors work to help you master deep diving.

Russian language and Russian tourists

Vietnam is gaining more and more popularity among our compatriots every year, so there are a lot of Russian tourists in the resorts. Russian is not spoken in Vietnam, however, as well as English. But you can always understand the locals, so do not be afraid of the language barrier.

Hotels

Hotels in Nha Trang and Mui Ne are fundamentally different. In Nha Trang, all hotels are urban. There are no hotels on the coast: all hotels are located across the road from the sea, and even further. However, it is expensive to get to the beach, as a rule, it takes no more than 15 minutes.

For a comfortable vacation, it is best to choose hotels located in European Quarter because this area has the most developed infrastructure. Basically, all hotels here have a 3-star category, but at the same time they are distinguished by a good level of service and comfortable living conditions.

Another feature of hotels in Nha Trang is the category of rooms that do not have windows. Therefore, it is worth checking their availability when booking.

There are hotels of various categories in Mui Ne. But here for a comfortable stay, you should choose hotels of 4 or 5 stars. As a rule, these are large complexes with a vast territory and located on the seashore.

Rooms are usually made in the form of free-standing bungalows built in European or Vietnamese style.

Thus, both Phan Thiet and Nha Trang deserve the attention of tourists. When choosing a resort, it is necessary to be guided by personal preferences in rest and time of visiting the country.
